On October 9, 2021, Elizabeth Emery had a message to her readers at her Dinosaurs Can't Read blog: "For the Last Time – I am Not a G** D*** Republican!"
OK.
Now she is dealing with her first pregnancy.
This week she wrote for Quillette, "The Erasure of Women From Online Pregnancy Literature
"After lugging around two fetuses that won’t stop kicking my bladder, I have no patience left for gender activists who pretend that men can give birth."
No normal person says men give birth.
She wrote, "I’m no fan of the credential-cataloguing throat-clearing that writers often do in the opening paragraphs of essays such as this one. But I think it’s necessary to mention something of my background, because I’m not a social conservative and certainly not a reactionary bigot. Before the U.S. Supreme Court ensured that gay men and women had the right to marry everywhere in the United States, I advocated passionately for marriage equality, and I was highly involved in my college’s LGBT club. I’ve dated transgender and transvestite men. I’ve taught transgender students, and I nearly ghostwrote a biography for a transgender woman. I don’t think transgender people should face discrimination in housing or employment, except in such limited areas where biological sex really does matter. I certainly don’t want any transgender person to feel that his or her life is devalued. Yet none of that changes my belief in the plain fact that sex differences between men and women are real, and that medical language around pregnancy—among other topics—ought to speak directly to biological women, full stop."
Emery still doesn't get it but she is getting there. She does not understand that feminism, LGBT and the whole lot of liberal causes are not about rights. Liberals are all about control.
Children are a gift from God. Her twins gave her the bonus of clarity. In today's parlance, pregnancy red-pilled her.
She wrote, "One of the gifts of pregnancy is that it makes certain truths excruciatingly clear. Accidentally vomiting on my feet in public because I can’t always get to a garbage can every time I leave the house is not so easily followed by watching President Biden seriously interview an adult biological man going through a grotesquely stereotypical transgender girlhood. Flowery sundresses, petting puppies, and flouncing one’s hair playfully while crossing the street, all while sipping daintily from a blended drink? Cut the shit, please. That’s a lot of things, but it is not literal womanhood, and I’m no longer interested in acting like it is because someone’s feelings might be hurt."
Emery is not alone on this journey from the cliff.
Matt Taibbi began his journey from Rolling Stone to Substack independence by calling out Russiagate in 2017 for what it was. BS.
His latest piece is about the Election Denial of Hillary versus the Election Denial of President Trump.
Election denialism -- as the left now calls contested races -- goes back to 1800 when Aaron Burr tried to hijack Thomas Jefferson's election as president.
Taibbi wrote, "'Election Denial' for Me, But Not for Thee: YouTube Censors TK-Produced Videos, Again, Despite Factual Accuracy."
His piece began:
In late September videographer Matt Orfalea made a pair of videos for TK. One, Memory Holed: “The Election Was Hacked,” seen above, was a simple montage of Democratic politicians, media officials, and enforcement officials saying the 2016 election was, among other things, “illegitimate,” “rigged,” “hacked,” and a “cyber 9/11.”
The second, Memory Holed, Part II: The “Rigged” Election, was a similar exercise, with one exception: it compared the post-2020 statements of Donald Trump to the post-2016 statements of Democratic partisans. When Trump tells Chris Wallace, “I have to see,” when asked if he’d concede an election, Orfalea shows Hillary Clinton saying, “No, I would not,” when asked in 2017 — after her loss — if she’d contest the results. He shows Trump later saying he’ll of course respect the results, “if I win,” and Hillary Clinton saying Joe Biden should not concede “under any circumstances,” essentially exact analogs.
Taibbi is being objective, which is now a sin in journalism.
Newsweek too is trying now to show both sides of the story by running commentary by conservatives. The latest featured was Charles Stallworth, a union railroad worker, who wrote, "The Tantrum at Twitter Reveals How Privileged the Liberal Laptop Class Really Is."
He wrote, "People bemoaning the end of Twitter under Musk wanted him to fail. Twitter was a D.C. establishment propaganda arm and they want it back under their control. That's what this uproar has been about since Musk bought this company.
"The drama around employees quitting for being asked to act like employees reveals not just the class divide separating the knowledge industry, tech, and other elite professions from us blue collar workers, but how deeply embedded Twitter had become in the Democratic machine, and how connected to those same knowledge industry elites.
"Whatever happens next, at least we now have proof of that."
I cannot disagree with a word of his conclusion.
Over time, the excesses of liberalism destroys liberalism. Elizabeth Emery is Not a G** D*** Republican!
But if she wants to protect herself and her twins, she will start voting that way.

My Substack column this week is "Thank the Lord for the Pilgrims."
It posted at noon Eastern.
Maybe she’ll become a “god#@!% Republican” if they don’t whore out to the left again…like the $enate did on 2A, and got fired for it?
ReplyDeleteOn an individual level, if you’re ruled by your emotions you have already lost.
On a societal level, if you are ruled by zeitgeist you are a loser.

You do realize that “hashtags” posted here don’t actually go anywhere, right?
DeleteYou realize he is being sarcastic right? Of course you don’t, you leftist.
DeleteI'm making 80 US dollars for every hr. to finish some internet providers from home. I had not at any point figured out how it would try to be reachable , anyway my compatriot mate got $13,000 just in about a month effectively doing this best task and furthermore she persuaded me to profit. Look for extra details
Deletegoing to this article... Www.Profit97.Com
She's a common example. They see the problem, don't like it and will speak out against it, but they won't fully take the red pill. It's more important to be "liberal" and open-minded. And who wants to lose their friends? A lot of it is about your social standing. I remember when I finally came out as a conservative, it was very easy to paint me as "crazy," too rightwing, and overly emotional. I don't know what the logical conclusion is to this problem or what it is for people like her.
ReplyDeleteSuzq22- Agreed. She’s only upset that what she’s promoted for years now affects her. No sympathy for her, Bill Maher, Bari Weiss or the rest of them. They created this mess.
Delete"Children are a gift from God. Her twins gave her the bonus of clarity. In today's parlance, pregnancy red-pilled her."
ReplyDeleteMaybe... but if she is a lesbian who chose artificial insemination by the likes of David Crosby and plans on raising her twins with a lesbian "wife" standing in the place of a present, involved, biological father... maybe not enough clarity.
I went to her site and read her about me.
DeleteShe's was raised Morman, converted to Judiasm after she met and married her tall dark and handsom middle eastern husband.
Just another example of endless examples of someone so proud to have been indoctrinated right out of the traditions they werer raised in. She lives in Tel Aviv now, so she's no longer our problem. Sadly the cultural and school indoctrination machine that created her still exist though.
Read a book, how I accidently joined vast right wing conspiracy. Liberal husband and wife couldn't understand the vast change in their outlooks. Traced it back to when they had children. And they reasoned the trigger factor was because suddenly they gave a shite about life forms more important than themselves. An eye opener so to speak.
ReplyDeleteGood read.
Which is exactly why the left is so anti child and family. Once you have kids, you become protective of your family before all else, including the virtue signaling pet projects of the left and government deep state.
DeleteYou'd think after more than a few of these declarations, republican "leadership" would have some kind of response to "Hey, at least I'm not a republican!!"
ReplyDelete"Hey, at least I'm not a republican!!" is winning hearts and minds for the DNC. Is republican McLeadership going to try and counter that message at some point?
Seriously, what good is Fetterman going to be to anyone? His only qualification was "Hey, at least I'm not the republican!!" But he won and he and Senator Mrs. Fetterman are in there for six long years.
Can anyone even say what the republican agenda even is? Now take Trump and the ultra-Mega MAGA supporters out of the equation and what is the "republican party" platform? Not Trump!! isn't a viable party platform...unless you're a democrat.
Our problem with gaining the votes of self-styled "nice" people is that quirk of human nature whereby we recoil from braggarts and smug accomplishers - despite that we profit from their exceptionalism. Trump, for example, attracts sensible people but disgusts sensitive people.
Deletedollops
I began my adult life as a liberal Democrat, bet then I served in Vietnam and the radical left impugned my patriotism. I remained an official Democrat until I moved to my present dwelling five years ago, but crossed party lines in numerous elections, voting for Nixon, Reagan and Trump among others before making my switch official.
ReplyDeleteThank you. You deserved so much better, I'm sorry and disgusted for how people behaved. It was before my time, but makes me sick to see.

DeleteGG say: It’s the “consequences of adulthood and personal responsibility” that largely drive people to conservative viewpoints. All of a sudden when you become a true grown-up and have to pay and care things that matter to you, things get tough and you realize it’s up to you to work it out, or you will suffer the consequences. Of course there are those who will perpetually blame someone else for their sufferings or demand that they are recompensed, because “it’s too hard” or “not fair”. There’s way too many of those in our society today, coddled from birth, and destined to fail. Becoming a responsible grown-up individual needs to be taught from the earliest ages. Otherwise, you do your children no favors, and the world you unleash them on.

All truths of this world are hijacked by the deceivers.
ReplyDeleteThey spot a passionate issue, valid, in and of itself, and twist it to exploit it in their deceptions.
Birds of same feather do, indeed, flock together.
And, flocking together, they strive to protect their own from all others.
When and where ever a flock attempts to dominate others, other flocks of birds of a different feather, conflict ensues.
Were each flock of birds of the same feather to mind to their own business, conflicts would diminish and, thus, the exploiters of others would be rendered substantially impotent.
Stick with your flock, birdies, when you do not start shit, there won't be shit flying.
This applies to whichever bird feather your flock is.
Sorry, when the pervert and sodomite birds started targeting the baby birds while the leftist birds encouraged and supported that behavior, competent birds stopped being willing to mind their own business.
DeleteSimple, clear , and to the point. Now, watch how the lefties will twist, turn and contort the truth to muddy the waters and make what is plain confusining. That, it seems, is their job'
DeleteElizabeth Emery is getting all the insane abuse that she deserves because the people whose causes she patronizes at her own peril are f*cking pit bull dogs that will rip her apart, limb by limb, just on principle. Thinking that one can successfully negotiate with such monsters and you're Neville Chamberlain in Munich in 1938.
ReplyDeleteSo true.
DeleteSaw a meme today, might have been over at Powerline: "Biden/Fetterman 2024, it's a no brainer!"
ReplyDeleteScary thing is it's not at all an improbable ticket.
Scarier thing is, if that ticket runs, once the votes are counted, after the mid-count pause in 3 or 4 states, after the recounts and discoveries of large ballot batches suddenly found and counted, after the results are returned by the company in Spain that counts and copyrights the results from many of the voting machines, we just might find those two are our duly appointed leaders.
Biden/Fetterman unthinkable, outrageously impossible?
DeleteOK, tell me with a straight face that Biden and Harris were legitimately voted into office.
No way democrats allow two white males to run together.
DeleteSL: Won’t let them run together? Heck, they can barely walk!

DeleteSome journalists are taking the red pill. I doubt any of their old readers like them any more or read them any more.
ReplyDeletePerhaps you'll think I'm crazy but look for Michelle Obama to get talked up as running in '24. She's a "woman" so she'll appeal to women and sideshow gender creep voters and most importantly, she's not Hillary. It would be Obama's fourth term. Millions from all over the world would pour into that campaign to keep the DC gravy train money laundering going. That, plus the cheating. Boy, oh boy, do I hope I'm wrong.

DeleteFor Ms. Emery, I suspect her 'red pilling' like her pregnancy will be a temporary condition. When the circumstances once again change to allow her tiny mind to return to it's liberal tendencies that is exactly what will happen.
ReplyDeleteYes. In the near future, she will suddenly realize her twin toddlers are “trans,” and then she will return to her old liberal habits of screaming and foaming at the mouth toward normal people.
DeleteI have several transgender friends, surprisingly they were quite self sufficient, a cross of conservative and libertarian. They so wanted equal rights, but not special rights. Basically the soccer moms of yesteryear.
ReplyDeleteThis woke world where we can't identify women, are not allowed to determine who our friends are, and allow guys in women's sports. Six years ago, Olympic level sports had a pretty high bar on competing based on testosterone level monitoring for basically 3 years. Well, the bar has been lowered substantially - a special right! and women's sports is in disarray.
Sorry, but there is no such thing as “trans,” and no one is “assigned a gender” at birth. 99.99+ % of humans are born male or female. A tiny fraction of a percent are born with genetic malfunctions. This fact has been exploited first by the mentally ill, then by activists, all seeking attention, power, or unfair advantage.
DeleteI've puberty is completed, regardless of testosterone level, men have physiological advantages that cannot be undone, such as anthropomorphic measurements, greater heart and lung capacity, more muscle mass, better eye-hand coordination and faster reflexes. Biologists like Bret Weinstein, Heather Heying and even pro-trabs activists like Bruce/Kaitlin Jenner and other trans women who work with the Internation Olympic Committee agree it's basic physiology, not just testosterone. Most fear getting cancelled for speaking the truth.
DeleteTHAT, Mr. Surber, was EXCELLENT!!!! :)
ReplyDeleteShe talks too much. 'blah, blah blah! I'd hate to have to be around her. Author should have contrasted her being 'red-pilled' with him being 'blue-pilled', now that Surber is against Trump. Another conservative bought off and afraid.
ReplyDeleteI like Gov. DeSantis just fine, but I ask this question: Where does DeSantis get his funding, and where does Trump get HIS funding? Now ask which of them can be most easily controlled.
Delete"Liberalism" is a one-word oxymoron...
ReplyDeleteWhen someone mentions the word "bicycle", what do you think of? A personal transportation device with five wheels? Oh, TWO wheels you say... Why is that? Oh, because that's the DEFINITION of bicycle?
ReplyDeleteYes, well... There's another word that has a definition as well: "MARRIAGE".
I have always, currently do, and will always oppose "gay marriage", just as I oppose "five-wheeled bicycles".
(Don't even get me started on the idiots who want to use nouns as their "pronouns"...)
I'm sorry. Emery had to have babies to come to the realization that men can't have babies?
ReplyDeleteYes... because liberals really are that stupid, clueless, and (probably) insane.
DeleteThe problem with the two party's is that they have chosen to allow themselves to be weaponized and invaded by crazies who do not reflect the majority of voters wishes. When adults keep kicking the can down the road year after year rather than stand up for principle and take a stand on the real issues affecting this country, this is what you get. A totally divided country controlled by the media and PAC money. Maybe a hot civil war wouldn't be so bad if it forced our citizens to see the truth of what is happening right before their eyes.
ReplyDeleteI know that everyone says that a 3rd party will dilute the vote and guarantee Dems wins in perpetuity, but I think just the opposite. America First (AF) has a clear set of priority and messages (border security, stop spending madness, stop forever war, law and order, election integrity, etc., etc.). What we need to do is to cut off the gangrenous, gag-inducing flesh of the GOPe. THEY are corrupt. THEY are gutless. THEY have no vision for America. Along with the Dems they are happy to drag the country under.
ReplyDeleteThe GOP can--and should--go to hell. AF offers an alternative to the Dem-induced and GOP-supported demolition of the USA. The GOP is dead. Long live America First.
I avoid the trans and LGB people as I avoid all mentally disturbed folks including liberals/democrats. You cannot reason with people whose lives revolve around their genitals and their unhappiness ... their victim-hood.
ReplyDeleteI have a couple of gay 'guy' friends, but they are pretty normal other than, they are same-sex. They are more about gossip and humor than anything else. Fun!
Suzq22 - I don’t think she’s red pilled at all. Just continued navel gazing now that it affects her. Libs are just so self-absorbed.
ReplyDeleteI see this post as a waypoint, not an endpoint in the metamorphosis of the authoress. Just as normal human development occurs on a trajectory of sorts, her own mental/psychological development will do likewise, or it is to be hoped. When an infant comes into the world, he is unaware of anything outside himself; his life to that point has been entirely internal. Gradually, he learns to differentiate himself from the "outside" world and develop skills with which to navigate therein. The ideal situation is to have the infant turn into the child, then into the adolescent, and finally to emerge as a mature adult. This authoress is currently in the adolescence of her journey, recognizing external realities, but not quite accepting of them and still "rebellious" against full adulthood. After her infants arrive, she will be faced with the choice to continue to mature into full adulthood, enabling her to nurture her offspring effectively, or she will resist that stage of growth, to her and her children's detriment. As Paul told us, when we are children we think like a child, but when we mature, we see things as they are, not as we would wish them to be. It will be, not a question of identifying as a "Republican," but rather one of identifying as a mature, thinking, rational human adult. I hope she chooses wisely. The fact that mature, thinking and rational adults tend to vote republican (as the more conservative and rational party) will be coincidental to her identity. I expect that she will also at that point be repulsed by the idea of voting for or identifying as a "democrat."
ReplyDeleteSo, she checked all the requisite boxes that qualify her as "diverse and tolerant", but the square peg of woke doesn't fit into the round hole of reality. Cognitive dissonance is a real eye opener.
ReplyDeleteI read Elizabeth Emery's original article about not being a G** D*** Republican and tried to read the second linked article (no, I don't want to subscribe to Quillette). I find nothing wrong with Ms. Emery that I don't identify in countless other intelligent, inquisitive, open minded, energetic men and women. These types of people tend to be profoundly self impressed, patting themselves on the back for the deep reason and sensibility that separates them from the primates, and by primates I mean both those in the animal kingdom as well as the so-called mouth-breathing, knuckle-dragging human variety. In their own minds, they tend to be the smartest, most rational person in the room, whatever room it is that they enter--super markets and museums across the country are full of them, all at the same time.
ReplyDeleteUltimately, her personality type must distill itself into something more evolved, a metamorphosis she self describes in her G** D*** article but fails to come to terms with. In the article, she deludes herself by thinking she has progressed into an even more superior hybrid conservative-liberal. But the actual evolution is more honest than that, resulting in what I believe is conviction or schtick. Schtick is the space in which Ms. Emery currently resides. It's the dilemma of having to make a difficult, self defining choice that many smart people resist, because they just can't let go of their desire to remain totally objective and fair (i.e. value-words that justify why they are so smart), that sentences them to the land of schtick. They see conviction as bad, as static and bigoted, mostly because they can't escape the religious implications of the word.
But conviction, at its core, applies a far more universal approach to the idea of belief. Conviction is more philosophy than religion. Conviction supports a person's ability to unquestioningly support natural rights for all, even people whose expressions and lifestyles are nauseating, and still firmly believe that transexual men have no place in women's sports. It's not a subject that has to be parsed and reasoned, with endless internal compromises and value judgments. It's their truth, and they believe it knowing that it will make some people feel insecure. Without conviction, we allow society to atrophy and become paralyzed and subservient to professional, perennial victims. I sincerely hope Ms. Emery finds the fortitude to define her own convictions. If there are adults, any adults, left in our society, conviction stands a chance, and so does society.
Elizabeth Emery is still adolescent. Real maturity has yet to raise it's specter.
ReplyDeleteEmery is proof positive of a few things. A woke 'journalist' no matter how dumb will get attention, a column, and money. She is also proof positive that the more bona fixed she tries to rattle off the more she proves that she is indeed a bigot.
ReplyDeleteHey since we're gonna stop pretending that men can give birth, let's also stop pretending that "those two fetuses kicking" you aren't your babies, living human beings. Since we're gonna be real now ...
