I ended a close friendship of 17 years with another federal prosecutor in 2016, when he did not seem to care when I told him Trump will instigate hatred and violence against LGBT people.
— Michael J. Stern (@MichaelJStern1) November 22, 2022
The mass murder at Club Q confirms ending the friendship was the right thing to do.
Michael J. Stern is a former federal prosecutor who writes columns for USA Today as well as columns for the Chicago Tribune, the Guardian, the Boston Globe and online sites.
He blamed President Donald Trump for the rampage that killed five people at Club Q in Colorado Springs.
Stern tweeted, "I ended a close friendship of 17 years with another federal prosecutor in 2016, when he did not seem to care when I told him Trump will instigate hatred and violence against LGBT people.
"The mass murder at Club Q confirms ending the friendship was the right thing to do."
I asked for an apology in light of the suspect being a non-binary them/they.
I don't expect one.
The Los Angeles Times failed to wait until the facts emerged to blame me and 75 million other Trump supporters for an LGBT person killing five others at an LGBT night club.
The LA Times rushed and published a column by Robin Maril, a professor teaching constitutional, administrative and health law at Willamette University College of Law, "Club Q shooting in Colorado Springs follows six brutal years of Republican anti-LGBT rhetoric."
The professor wrote, "The far right’s emboldened, retrenched villainization of LGBT lives as political fodder has created a powder keg within the context of our fractured democracy. In the coming days we will find out the names of the Colorado victims, who they loved, what they dreamed. Their lives, and ours, must be valued as people, not simply specters evoked by weak leaders to frighten people to the ballot box."
That is a lie.
An outrageous lie.
In fact, it is a libel that should be retracted with an apology from Patrick Soon-Shiong, the newspaper's owner.
While the bodies were still warm, Cady Stanton and Terry Collins of USA Today slapped together a piece, "'When will it stop?': LGBT community, Pulse survivors react to Club Q shooting in Colorado Springs."
Not until Paragraph 28 did the Gannett publication admit that police had no motive for the shooting.
Paragraph 28 said, "While police have not yet determined a motive behind Saturday night's attack, the shooting was being investigated to see whether it should be prosecuted as a hate crime. Nearly 20% of any type of hate crime in the United States is motivated by sexual orientation, according to FBI Hate Crime statistics."
Trump supporters had nothing to do with this massacre.
It was by an LGBT person.
As for the Pulse massacre in 2016, 49 people were killed by a man who wanted to join the Islamic State.
I am not politicizing these tragedies. But I will be darned if I will allow the LGBT cheerleaders to blame me, my readers and 75 million other Trump supporters for these massacres.
We will not be bullied.
***
If you have read "Thank the Lord for the Pilgrims," I thank you.
It doesn't matter, Don, unfortunately. The lie is already out there and has gone around and around before the truth could get out there. I agree with you that we should not be bullied, but it's very hard to correct the lies already out there.
ReplyDeleteWould love to have a class action suit for defamation against these characters.
DeleteAnd these newspapers/writers aren't courageous or honest enough to print apologies or corrections.
DeleteOf course not. They spread the lie and then they retreat. Damage done and that was the goal.
DeleteAnother example of Dan Rather's "fake but true" journalist mentality.

For years, as a student of History, I struggled to fully understand how a relatively well educated Germany got mesmerized by a top-down dictator, with blinded eyes and plugged ears. Now, watching the Demented Party and their cult followers, I understand.
DeleteFirst thing in order, let's get Big Pharma s moron out of play - Donald Trump. Not just for his idiocy to sucking up to Pharma but any swampster that winked at him.
DeleteDeSantis is known for not saying thanks to donors. Smart. He is a hell of a lot smarter than than the man child from NY.
She's about the fourth generation removed, but identical in ideology, with the American Communists lawyers in the 1920-30s who were secretly elated when their legal clients, blacks accused of crimes they did not commit, were convicted. Now the Communists had fuel for "outrage." Stern and Maril are their clones.

The only ones instigating hatred and violence against LGBT people are the LGBT people who support raping children. Tucker had a lesbian on last night who spoke out against the LGBT support for molesting and raping children. Good for her. More need to speak up or it will get much, much worse for gays.

Homosexuality is just one of the many pathologies driving people so mad they’ll commit murder.
ReplyDeleteYou watch....MSM will claim the shooter is only saying he is non-binary to avoid hate crime charges.
ReplyDeleteYup, they already did.
DeleteShades of Zappa...
DeleteSoon, we'll all be gay...
...for business purposes.
So if I follow the little bouncing ball, soon gays will have to be rainbow checked by the MSM to determine real actual boner fide gaity?
Really?
There is only one way to prove homosexuality:
DeleteFor female, bury your face in the muff.
For male, another male buries his pole in your pooper.
Any additional activities, as the above, are only accurate proof if purely agreed to, by both participants.
The truly pathetic thing about this (loss of life is tragic) is the immediate reactions to politicize this, cry hate crime, gun control and all the rest of it.
ReplyDeleteThe shooter looks like he already had a closet full of mental issues.
I think the erosion of faith in this country has been a direct cause in these things. There's a loss of value in life, whether ones self or others, respect as well, and we're seeing the results.

Excellent comments
DeleteThe grim reality is life is cheap. One's life only matters to close family and a few friends. And it has always been thus.
DeleteIn fact, in the last century, we've proven ourselves experts in killing multiple millions. Dead bodies heaped in piles, tossed in ditches carved out by bulldozers.
That human life has some great intrinsic spiritual value is one of the great lies our society perpetuates. The reality is that is doesn't, and we adopt the rote habit of saying all lives matter, mindlessly, to fend off the fear of the truth.
To this creation, no body's life matters, other than as food for other creatures to feast upon.
DeleteThe success rate for the world, of making every live body dead, is perfect. Never fails.
What the words, all lives matter, mean is that living beings are more than animated bodies.
All lives matter, to someone, may be a bit of wishful thinking, however, without some sincere valuing of life, humans would be the prime candidate species for self induced extinction.
Bar none.
Iirc, the pulse shooter had frequented the club. He was a closeted homosexual but had accounts on several gay dating sites. That information was disappeared not long after he did it.
ReplyDeleteThe queers have a tendancy to be snobbishly picky this century.
DeleteA rejected libido, of whatever inclination, can be a bitch.
Also, another person known by the FBI.
ReplyDeleteMy friend is a financial advisor in palm springs, where many rich conservative gays reside. He's a life member NRA, and after San Bernardino shooting, he was recommending to them that gun collections always go up in value. Better than gold, guns only go up, never down. And they were extremely receptive to sound advice.
ReplyDeleteI say there is a motive here that is not mentioned. A possible lover's quarrel . Of course, it doesn't fit the scenario.

ReplyDeleteThe gay community, at least publicly, seems intent on associating themselves with pedophiles and child molesters. If they don't learn to correct course, they are going to be responsible for losing every bit of social acceptance ground that they've won in the last 40 years. They are playing with the nuclear option, and it will not go well for them.
ReplyDeleteWhen homosexuality was unwelcome in society, the sparsity of possible love connections, plus the intrinsic nature of homosexuality not naturally resulting in creating progeny, inbued an instinctive urge for homosexuals to increase their number, by whatever means they imagined effective. Thus, enticements to the young to believe they are homosexual.
DeleteThese days, the trending of social popularity for those who claim to be innately homosexual, resulting in a much larger number of effectively available possible hook ups, negates the need for the homosexual communities to be so aggressively pushy.
Perhaps they are more greedy for controlling others than they admit.

ReplyDeletePeople ask, “How can the post-Christian west ever purge this now metastatic stage-IV civilizational cancer of sex perverts barring supernatural intervention?”
ReplyDeleteThe answer is, most likely, that they will probably ultimately exterminate each other. The question is, how many morally sane people will be killed collaterally?
A lot. Including maybe you and me. And we will collectively deserve it because we tolerated it.
