Highlights of the News

ITEM 1: Is Choo-Choo Charlie Crist taking a dive?

I never have seen a worse gubernatorial race by a former governor.

ITEM 2: The Floridian reported, "DeSantis announced that he will be working with the Republican-controlled state legislature to draft legislation targeting Communist China’s aggressive move of buying up American farmland and property around military installations.

"Gov. DeSantis pointed out that Florida has 21 different military installations around the state that could be targeted by China and other countries of concern like Russia, Cuba, and Venezuela."

America for Americans.

ITEM 3: The New York Post reported, "Martha’s Vineyard’s St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church sheltered 50 migrants for 2 nights."

That was nice. However, parish musician Charles Rush said, "It was not for lack of wanting to help, but for lack of physical space on the island itself."

Martha's Vineyard is 96 square miles and has 14,901 people.

Manhattan is 60 square miles and has 1,537,195 people.

There's room at the inn. Martha's Vineyard won't open its doors.

ITEM 4: Conservative Treehouse reported, "Massachusetts Energy Companies Announce 64% Increase in Electricity Rates Beginning November 1st."

Massachusetts ranks No. 11 in electric vehicles.

And you thought $5 gasoline was bad.

ITEM 5: Just the News reported, "Meta, Facebook's parent company, is currently deciding whether to reinstate former President Donald Trump's account on the social media platform as its initial suspension's end date approaches."

How much are they going to pay him? They need him more than he needs them.

Meta's market cap dropped more than $400 billion over the past year.

Over time, all social media becomes obsolete as a shiny new object hits the Internet. Censorship hastens the end.

ITEM 6: The Daily Wire reported, "Citizens for Sanity, a conservative nonprofit known for trolling liberals took out a newspaper ad to mock residents of Martha’s Vineyard who sent 50 migrants packing after they were dropped off on the idyllic island on orders of Sunshine State Governor Ron DeSantis."

It's a lovely ad that said, "Our beautiful island home of Martha’s Vineyard is very small and the mansions have very expensive artwork, Persian rugs, and unchlorinated saltwater swimming pools that are very difficult to clean. For these reasons, we cannot accept any undocumented Americans at this time and respectfully ask they be sent to a working class community they can enrich with their global diversity and romantic poverty."

Well, when you put it that way, it makes perfect sense to send all those poor brown people to live at a Superfund site.

ITEM 7: Florida Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Jimmy Patronis issued a statement following recent media reports that credit card companies are going to start tracking gun and ammunition sales.

He said, "The second amendment is foundational to our American way of life. The idea that law-abiding Americans would be put on some kind of corporate watchlist is disturbing. Our rights come from our Creator, not the government, and especially not big corporations. It is clear that the actions by these credit card companies are part of a larger effort to curtail God-given constitutional rights of Americans. It is also symptomatic of the virus known as ESG, which is part of a global effort to socially re-engineer the country that we love so much. There is no way we are going to allow that to happen in the free state of Florida.

"If we come to the legislative session and companies like Visa, Mastercard and American Express are generating these reports to create a chilling effect against the purchase of firearms, then I’ll work with the Legislature to pass a law penalizing businesses who are targeting the right to bear arms.

"We’ve seen a groundbreaking ruling come out of the Fifth Circuit limiting corporations’ ability to curtail American’s constitutional rights, so we are on solid legal footing to pursue a bill protecting Floridians 2nd Amendment Rights. We can also take it a step further by barring these companies from doing any business with the State of Florida. We will send a message out to these large corporations that if you are interested in doing business with Florida, you need to make sure that you’re protecting Floridians right to arm and defend themselves."

Republican state officials in Florida, Texas, West Virginia and elsewhere are pushing back and standing up for we the people.

ITEM 8: The Conservative Brief reported, "President Joe Biden’s administration has been blocked by a federal court from imposing limitations on arrests, detentions, and removals by Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

"Southern District of Ohio Judge Michael Newman made the decision after a lawsuit was filed by Republican Attorneys General of Arizona, Montana, and Ohio.

"He issued a preliminary injunction stopping Biden from imposing the new guidelines on punishments for illegal immigration."

He's a Trump judge, which means he follows the Constitution.

ITEM 9: Fox reported, "Conservatives pointed out what they saw as an unintentionally pro-life segment on NBC’s Today where the programs anchors fawned over a story revealing that unborn babies react to different flavors of food in the womb.

"The anchors referred to 'babies in the womb' while covering the story, which prompted many pro-lifers on Twitter to praise the segment. It also caused some to point out the double standard that some outlets refer to unborn children as fetuses, in what some on the right view as de-humanizing.

"The segment aired Thursday morning, with co-anchor Sheinelle Jones stating, 'researchers from Britain wanted to know if babies in the womb react when the mom ingests a flavor of food, and this is what they saw."'

"The program flashed a before-and-after series of ultrasound photos: the first depicting an unborn baby having a static facial expression, and the second featuring the child smiling after ingesting something he or she liked."

Fetus is a nonsense word. No mother ever said she was carrying a fetus or "oh, the fetus kicked."

ITEM 10: Bloomberg reported, "Think of Powell as Volcker's Wannabe Second Coming.

"The Fed chair is plainly channeling his legendary predecessor, and markets finally realize that no early pivot to ease rates seems likely."

Good for him, then. Volcker killed inflation for 40 years by raising the Fed's interest rates. The business press is run by partisan fools.

ITEM 11: The Foreign Desk reported, "Amid ongoing protests throughout Iran, the United States Treasury Department Wednesday stated that private satellite internet equipment can be exported to Iran to help bypass the regime’s internet shutdowns. The concern leading up to this announcement was that U.S. sanctions would not allow this equipment to be sent to Iran.

"The Treasury’s comments revolved around a tweet by SpaceX and Tesla CEO Elon Musk, suggesting that a license is not required to provide the company’s Starlink satellite broadband service."

Good for Musk.

ITEM 12: The Epoch Times reported, "Several U.S. Capitol Police whistleblowers have exposed what they call intelligence failures leading up to the events of Jan. 6, 2021, and problems in the law enforcement agency’s command structure, an Illinois congressman said."

The January 6 Committee could not care less because they want to frame The Donald.

A Republican Congress must investigate and fix this.

ITEM 13: Zero Hedge reported, "Despite the best efforts of the January 6th committee and Biden's 'weaponized' DOJ (which took 18 months to stage a public raid on the former President's home), Americans just don't care."

DC has no credibility. Not its press, its DOJ or its Congress. Too many impeachments and not enough evidence.

It's not the Boy Who Cried Wolf because eventually the boy saw a wolf.

ITEM 14: Big League Politics reported, "The Golisano Children’s Hospital in Rochester, New York has issued a public video encouraging gender transitions of children as young as eight years of age.

"The video, which has since been made private and hidden from the public, has been archived."

Big League Politics has the video.

Ban puberty blockers.

ITEM 15: My Truth News reported, "Hunter Gone Wild! NEW Footage Shows Hunter Biden Entertaining Prostitutes at $4,140-Per-Night Resort."

The laptop that keeps giving.

ITEM 16Just the News reported, "Trump's son-in-law, Jared Kushner, criticized Florida Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis sending migrants on planes to Martha's Vineyard in protest of the Biden administration's lax enforcement of immigration law."

The former First S-I-L reported, "We have to remember that these are human beings, they're people, so seeing them being used as political pawns one way or the other is very troubling to me."

Oh, please, political pawn me then. I would love to go to the beach even if it is off season.

FINALLY, what's going on in Nevada?

Real Clear Politics has the governorship and the Senate seat on the ballot this year flipping red. Its three House seats held by Democrats are listed as tossups while the fourth seat is listed Safe Republican.

68 comments:

  1. The SEIU and other unions practically OWN Nevada and members have generally voted the way the unions recommended. That appears to be at an end for Hispanics as they transition to the party of America First, which has the interests of working class Americans at the forefront of policy making. The election fraud that occurred in Nevada's Clark County has been well documented, especially the almost complete lack of required signature verification for mail-in ballots, which may indeed put the GOP back in charge of the state.

    1. Amen same in Oregon, not as overt but the OEA SEIU axis has cracks in the base.

    2. The SEIU "owns" Nevada? Really? As a Nevada resident, I think that if you said the Culinary Union owns Clark County, politically-speaking, you would be correct. The Culinary is far more influential here than the SEIU. And Nevada is still a purple state, albeit one, that for some reason I will never figure out, just does not like Donald Trump. (Trump lost Nevada in 2016. Nevada and New Hampshire were the only true swing states Trump lost in 2016. He swept the rest.)

    3. I'm curious why the SEIU and other unions like the teachers unions aren't screaming bloody murder over the status of their retirement portfolios?? Inflation and it's secondary impacts are hammering their retirement accounts. Retirement is the holy grail for union employees.

    4. As another Nevada resident, no matter which union "owns" Clark County (or any other part of the state), both Washoe County (where I live) and Clark County dominate the state's political scene because they are the most heavily populated areas in an overall sparsely populated state. In the recent primary for Republican gubernatorial candidate, Joey Gilbert swept a good portion of the state, but there weren't enough people to counter the votes for Joe Lombardo. I do hope that Hispanics who may have voted Dem in the past are moving right, realizing that their core values do not align with those of the Dems. Time will tell. Then there are the Californians moving to NV - many of those folks are running away from terrible policies enacted by politicians they voted for, but then they often vote the same way in their new home, fouling their new nest.

Lol. You act like the Republicans are against the J6 fraud. They are just as guilty as the Dems in supporting the attempted frame up job of Trump and the ongoing coverup which the "insurrection" and J6 show trials are a part of. You're asking the criminals to investigate themselves. Good luck with that.

With liberals moving in from California and New York, they turn the state into the "S" hole they left.

    6. As a former Nevada resident (with a stint as GOP county chairman while there), and current Florida resident, I disagree with your assessment of the newcomers. When I lived there, almost all the arrivals from California were escapees, not missionaries, who voted red. It may be different now, and certainly no one can say that it will continue indefinitely.

As for Florida, looks like all those moving in from NY/NJ/PA/New England have turned the state red. Since last November there are now more registered Republicans than Democrats for the first time ever, and the gap has widened since then to over 275,000.

  14. #10 .. Know who else helped greatly to wring out inflationary pressures from the Seventies. You'll never guess ...... Thats RIGHT, Sadaam Farouqin Hussein!! You win a baclava

First he made inflation worse by invading Iran in 1980, which tripled the price of a barrel of oil. Everyone tends to overlook the huge role that the two step increase in price of oil by 1000% played in Americas inflation crisis. But then, he caused other Gulf Arab states to overproduce in order to break Iran's economy. Price of oil went down drastically and played a huge and unheralded role in the Reagan boom

And if we werent currently ruled by enemies of the American heartland, this would be the obvious solution to almost all the econ problems plagueing us and Western Europe
