Highlights of the News

ITEM 1: Emerson College Polling shows Republican Governor Greg Abbott is up by 4 points over Democrat Robert Francis O'Rourke.

Among Hispanics.

Calling yourself Beto fools no one.

Abbott is up 8 points overall.

Illegal immigration is on the ballot, my friends. And Hispanics along the border oppose it.

ITEM 2: AP reported, "Walmart is teaming up with a fertility startup to offer benefits under its insurance plan that will help its workers expand their families.

"The nation’s largest retailer and private employer said Tuesday it’s partnering with New York-based Kindbody to offer benefits such as in vitro fertilization as well as fertility testing regardless of sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, or marital status.

"Walmart’s employees will get access to more than 30 fertility clinics and in vitro fertilization labs across the U.S. Kindbody’s clinics will be available to help eligible workers access Walmart’s surrogacy and adoption benefits, as well.

"The expanded offerings, which start Nov. 1, builds on Walmart’s so-called Center of Excellence model, which provides benefits and coverage for certain heart, spine and joint surgeries and cancer treatments, in partnership with healthcare providers and facilities including the Cleveland Clinic and the Mayo Clinic."

More companies should do this and since Republicans are too scared to repeal Obamacare, use it to require companies to provide this coverage.

Lower prices, more kids.

ITEM 3CNN reported, "71% of workers say their pay isn’t keeping up with inflation."

It is a Bank of America poll. As for 401-k plans, thanks to inflation, you need a 601-k. Thanks to the recession, you have a 201-k.

Bidenomics is aimed at destroying the middle class.

ITEM 4: Radar reported, "Chris Wallace’s much-hyped return to television with the debut of Who’s Talking to Chris Wallace scored a paltry 44,000 viewers in the all-important ratings category, RadarOnline.com has learned.

"The legendary broadcaster's new show on CNN premiered on Sunday and was only able to deliver 401,000 viewers in the 7 PM/ET hour."

His show was so bad, he finished 15th -- among CNN shows! (144th among all cable shows.)

ITEM 5: Just the News reported, "A record number of New Yorkers are switching their driver’s licenses to Florida, according to a New York Post analysis of Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles data."

Yes, and now they have to travel back as Hurricane Ian hits.

ITEM 6: Biden said, "And they’re making a lot of profit, and the public is paying as part of the inflation. And — but, look, my message is simple. To the companies running gas stations and setting those prices at the pump: Bring down the prices you’re charging at the pump to reflect the cost you pay for the product. Do it now. Do it now. Not a month from now — do it now. And it’s going to save people a lot of money."

Or put Hunter on the board of directors and charge what you like.

ITEM 7: Rumble posted a clip called, "Liberal former Italian PM calls CNN's 'fascism' reporting 'fake news' to their faces."

Matteo Renzi was the Italian prime minister from 2014-2016.

He told CNN: "Personally I was against Georgia Meloni. I’m not her best friend. We are rivals but she is not a danger to democracy. The idea there is a risk of fascism in Italy is absolutely fake news."

Renzi stood up for Italians when the media lied and said they elected fascists. Good man.

ITEM 8: File this under Crazy Crap Cops Put Up With.

God bless the blue.

Until I get pulled over.

ITEM 9: The Epoch Times reported, "Ahead of Hurricane Ian’s predicted landfall in western Florida, the head of the Florida National Guard confirmed Monday that Guardsmen who are not vaccinated for COVID-19 will be activated in response to the storm.

"Florida National Guard Maj. Gen. James Eifert on Monday told reporters that the Pentagon’s vaccine mandate does not impact the state’s capacity to activate unvaccinated service members to deal with a natural disaster such as a hurricane."

Maybe they can give the hurricane covid.

ITEM 10: Tucker Carlson mocked Kevin McCarthy's Commitment to America.

Why?

How does mocking McCarthy get a Republican majority in Congress?

That is our mission for the next six weeks. We primaried some RINOs (bye bye, Lizzard) but RINO season is over, Vote Republican. No one is perfect. Heck, to make this point yesterday, I attributed Joe E. Brown's line in Some Like It Hot to Joe E. Lewis.

(Jack Lemmon turns down Brown's marriage proposal by saying, "I'm a man." Brown replies, "Nobody's perfect.")

I like Carlson. He helps. But he ain't perfect.

ITEM 11: CNBC reported, "Chicago Federal Reserve President Charles Evans says he’s feeling apprehensive about the U.S. central bank raising interest rates too quickly in its quest to tackle runaway inflation.

"Speaking to CNBC’s Squawk Box Europe on Tuesday, Evans said he remains 'cautiously optimistic' that the U.S. economy can avoid a recession — provided there are no further external shocks."

We are in a recession. Corporate media won't admit it. Evans won't either. If you won't admit we are in a recession, go home.

We need to kill inflation now because inflation can lead to socialism or some other form of totalitarianism.

ITEM 12: The Washington Examiner reported, "California Gov. Gavin Newsom is not mincing words: He will not run for president anytime soon.

"The governor, widely viewed as a 2024 hopeful, ruled out a presidential run when pressed by a moderator at the Texas Tribune Festival on Saturday about whether he would vie in 2024 or 2028. There were no contingencies in the moderator's questioning about President Joe Biden's plans."

Perhaps Governor Brylcreem realizes footage of the shitholes he created in San Francisco and LA will give Republicans California if he runs.

ITEM 13: Rusty Weiss wrote, "After U.S. Soldiers Were Told to Go On Food Stamps, Congress Finds Another $12 Billion for Ukraine."

Succinct and deadly.

ITEM 14: Dr. Edwin Leap works in ER at WVU Hospitals in Princeton and Bluefield. (Beautiful country, by the way.)

He wrote, "Patient volumes are high. EMS stretchers line up in front of our desks like small, tragic train cars from some war-zone. On them, old men and women slump in exhaustion or cry from broken bones. On others, young addicts struggle against restraints because of their methamphetamine use, or scream because Narcan robbed them of their high; saving their lives causes instant and miserable withdrawal. They park as we try to find rooms in which to put them when all the rooms are full. Treatment in the the hallway, or in the waiting room, is routine. Nurses, short-staffed as always, try their best to keep up with orders from physicians and balance that against very simple needs of patients, like food, clean gowns or trips to the bathroom. Bedpans in the hallway are, obviously, less than optimal."

Drugs are killing Southern West Virginia. We have led the nation in overdose deaths for 22 years.

He wrote, "Send a few migrants to Martha’s Vineyard and it’s the news cycle from right and left for weeks.

"Watch healthcare collapse and there’s a collective averting of the eyes.

"I don’t get it. I’m proud to try my best. But I just don’t get it."

Maybe the solution is to send some patients to Martha's Vineyard.

ITEM 15: Fox alleged, "Pennsylvania showdowns: Fetterman topping Oz, Shapiro leading Mastriano, in new poll."

Fox may have fired Chris Stirewalt, but its anti-Trump polling continues.

ITEM 16: The Washington Times reported, "Faced with the highest stolen-car rate in the nation, Colorado Gov. Jared Polis has sought to backtrack on a year-old law downgrading penalties for vehicular theft — and promptly ran into a Republican dragnet.

"Republican Heidi Ganahl, who’s running to unseat Mr. Polis in November, pointed out that the Democratic governor himself signed last year Senate Bill 271, a sweeping sentencing overhaul that included a provision making it a misdemeanor to steal a car valued at under $2,000."

Colorado Republican Party chairwoman Kristi Burton Brown said, "In an election year about-face, Polis is now asking for his own law to be reversed."

Democrats are de-criminalizing crime while criminalizing dissent.

I trust Colorado gets a new governor -- and a new senator -- this year.

ITEM 17: Mayor Cop said, "We have a brand, and when people see it, it means something. You know when we go there… Kansas doesn’t have a brand. When you go there, OK, you’re from Kansas. But New York has a brand, and that brand means diversity."

By diversity, he means black men beating Asians.

ITEM 18: Legal Insurrection reported, "YouTube Removes Viral Video Of Incoming Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni 'For Violating Terms Of Service.'"

Telling the truth violates the TOS.

FINALLY, Sean Hannity reported, "According to data compiled by the Heritage Foundation, the average American family has lost $7,200 in household income under President Biden; individual Americans are $4,200 poorer, as well."

Wiped out.

Time to wipe out the Democrats in November.

  2. Randy says: Item 9: “Hurricane Ian’s predicted landfall in western Florida…” A short update for those not in the Free (and wet) State of Florida… The predicted storm path has shifted east, which puts Richard Hertz and me on the lighter side of the storm. Unfortunately, it looks like Trump’s owner will be in its direct path as it makes landfall as Cat 4. The forward motion has slowed, meaning it will expend much of its energy as it passes over land. It’s more of a “rain event” than a “wind event” for those of us inland.

    1. Ask anyone of these actual American/European non-Italian media fascists these questions. Three percent of them MIGHT get one of them right:

      1) In what decade did Mussolini rise to power? [1920s]

      2) Name one of the three countries that he [Italy] invaded.

[Ethiopia, Albania & Greece. Jill Biden's response: "Taco Bellissimo."]

      3) In what year did Italy surrender and switch sides in WWII? [1943]

      4) What was the name of Mussolini's Foreign Minister for much of WWII?

      [Galeazzo Ciano.]

Why is this FM famous today?

[The Ciano Diaries, 1939-1943, The Complete, Unabridged Diaries of Count Galeazzo Ciano [1903-1944], Italian Minister for Foreign Affairs, 1936-1943, Edited by Hugh Gibson [1883-1954], Introduction by Sumner Welles [1892-1961]; Doubleday & Company, Inc. (1945-46 hardcover)].

      5) In what year was Mussolini assassinated? [1945.]

      6) Extra Credit: On the map provided, find (point to) "Italy."

Hand them a map of the moon, and see if anyone notices the difference.

"It think this is a diagram of Chris Wallace's debut ratings because I see a lot of craters" --- will earn a final grade of 100% on the quiz, regardless of the previous number of incorrect answers.

  7. 10. Carlson was correct to mock McCarthy and McConnell's 'Commitment to America'.
It's long on rhetoric and short on details.
Rick Scott's Eleven Point Plan gave specifics: build the wall, civics in class that emphasize the Constitution, shrink government programs, spending and debt, and affirming traditional family values.

Speaking of McConnell, another fine (heavy sarcasm here) announcement out of his mouth supporting an election reform bill so we can't have non-swamp dwelling patriots become president.
Incidentally, the senate version was sponsored by Susan Collins, so I'm sure it'll be a good bill. (Again, HEAVY sarcasm)
