Highlights of the News

ITEM 1: Letitia James -- the Democrat attorney general of New York -- filed a 222-page lawsuit against the Trumps. The deep state grifters want him dead, his family incarcerated and his buildings demolished.

Kurt Schlichter wrote, "I expect the case will be dropped or tossed after a couple motion to dismiss rounds. Maybe there will be a small, piddling settlement the AG will claim is a victory. It’s not a real lawsuit. It’s lawfare. And I hope red AGs are taking note of the new rules."

Someone should haul Hunter Biden before a grand jury.

ITEM 2: Bolts reported, "Four Ballot Measures Threaten to Undercut Direct Democracy in Arizona and Arkansas."

That is wickedly disingenuous. Direct democracy -- ballot initiatives -- somehow undercut direct democracy. Liberalism has become 3-year-olds throwing tantrums if they don't have their way.

ITEM 3: The Wall Street Journal reported, "The Federal Reserve approved its third consecutive interest-rate rise of 0.75 percentage point and signaled additional large increases were likely at coming meetings as it combats inflation that remains near a 40-year high.

"The decision Wednesday—unanimously supported by the Fed’s 12-member rate-setting committee—will lift its benchmark federal-funds rate to a range between 3% and 3.25%, a level last seen in early 2008."

These rates still are not high enough to end inflation.

ITEM 4: Inside Hook reported, "This Is the Best Airport in North America."

The story said, "Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport was the top mega airport in customer satisfaction, with Tampa International Airport scoring highest amongst large airports and Indianapolis International Airport in medium markets."

Minneapolis?

I don't care how if weeds grow through the cracks on the runway, the luggage gets lost and the employees are all snarling bums. My vote goes to the Daniel K. Inouye International Airport in Honolulu because I would rather be in Hawaii than that refrigerator we call Minnesota each winter. Minnesota Nice doesn't melt Minnesota ice.

ITEM 5: The DC press hail Republican turncoats as great patriots.

Sinema and Manchin were deemed turncoats.

The next Republican president should shutter the press room. Kick them all out of the White House.

ITEM 6: Variety reported, "Kenya Barris Says Wizard of Oz Remake Will Include LGBTQ Representation to ‘Reflect the World.’"

I can almost hear the Scarecrow, Tin Man and Cowardly Lion singing, "If I only had a dick -- some breasts -- a vagina!"

ITEM 7: Reuters reported, "Russia's opposition on Wednesday called for protests against President Vladimir Putin after he ordered the mobilization of 300,000 reservists for what Kremlin foe Alexei Navalny said was a failing criminal war.

"Putin on Wednesday ordered Russia's first mobilization since World War Two and backed a plan to annex swathes of Ukraine, warning the West he was not bluffing when he said he would be ready to use nuclear weapons to defend Russia."

Putin needs to be shown the 13th floor window, and shoved.

ITEM 8: The National Archives is another example of how everything in DC has become a weapon for Democrats.

Evil may have a new face and a new name but it is on the same payroll: Uncle Sam's.

ITEM 9: Monica De La Cruz is the Republican nominee to represent Texas' 15th Congressional District. Sarah Chamberlain is President and CEO of the Republican Main Street Partnership.

They wrote in Newsweek, "Biden's Surrender of the Border has Become Democrats' Biggest Liability."

All my life, Newsweek has been reliably lefty. Lately it has surprised me by running conservative commentary. Not the Never Trump claptrap but actual conservatives.

ITEM 10: The Washington Examiner reported, "The Senate voted on a bipartisan basis Wednesday to approve the Kigali Amendment, a global climate deal that calls for the phasedown of potent greenhouse gas refrigerants known as hydrofluorocarbons."

Sigh.

Here we go again.

According to the Climate and Clean Air Coalition, "Hydrofluorocarbons are a group of industrial chemicals primarily used for cooling and refrigeration. HFCs were developed to replace stratospheric ozone-depleting substances that are currently being phased out under the Montreal Protocol on Substances that Deplete the Ozone Layer."

The communists will find fault with whatever replaces HFCs because the reality is communists hate people and do not want us to be anything but serfs.

ITEM 11: Michigan News Source reported, "A wonderful opportunity is returning to Northern Michigan for disabled hunters and veterans.

"The Little Traverse Conservancy of Harbor Springs is once again supporting an annual hunting trip for disabled hunters and veterans by providing private lands for them to hunt deer.

"From Oct. 13-16, hunters will each be paired with a guide for a one-on-one hunting experience.

"The firearm hunting season starts November 15th, but this one weekend is set aside for only these hunters and guides, and are able to do so only because the hunting is on private land.

"State law limits each hunter to one deer, which will be butchered and prepped for the hunter to take the meat home."

Every once in a while we need a reminder that there are still good people in America.

ITEM 12: The New York Post reported, "Suspect free after admitting he mowed down ‘Republican’ teen over politics."

The sad saga from North Dakota continues. It is open season on Republicans and only Fox and the New York Post seem to care.

ITEM 13: Democrats on the House Judiciary Committee voted to have non-citizens vote in federal election.

States run election. Any such change should require a constitutional amendment.

I want a constitutional amendment requiring citizenship to vote and to serve on a jury.

ITEM 14: The Post Millennial reported, "Disabled Portland residents are suing the city over homeless tents blocking the sidewalks."

Suddenly the ADA turns on Democrats.

Bwahaha.

ITEM 15: Why did the zebra cross the road?

He identifies as a chicken.

ITEM 16: Western Journal reported, "Mark Zuckerberg began 2022 as the 6th richest man in the world.

"The Facebook founder is now down to the 20th, according to Bloomberg.

"To be sure, all the big guys on Bloomberg’s Billionaire Index, including Bill Gates, Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos and others lost money this year, but Zuckerberg’s loss of $71 billion was the greatest."

I will start a GoFundMe for him.

FINALLY, how can you lead a great nation when you do not know where you are going?

  8. Randy says: Item 10: “…the phasedown of potent greenhouse gas refrigerants known as hydrofluorocarbons.” Time to stock up on HFCs. I bought a dozen cans of Freon 12 before it disappeared. Freon 12 is used in the A/C of older cars. I got a half gallon concentrate of chlordane before it disappeared. It’s used to protect homes against subterranean termites.

Whatever replaces HFCs will be less efficient, just like HFCs are less efficient than the old CFCs (chlorofluorocarbons, e.g. Freon). The best refrigerant is ammonia, which disappeared from household refrigerators decades ago (although is still used in large-scale commercial operations like meat packing plants).

A problem with the latest replacement, R-290, is that it’s propane-based and therefore flammable.

"Inflation is always and everywhere a monetary phenomenon." Milton Friedman was correct then and remains correct today. The Biden cabal, currently run by enemies of traditional America, intends to pursue its vision of a destroyed America that will enable them to build it back "better", which means smaller, weaker, blacker, dumber and poorer, with them and their globalist pals like Herr Schwab sitting on top of the ruins.

  20. 3 - These rates still are not high enough to end inflation.

That's correct if the goal is to have a depression. Demand is not driving inflation. People aren't spending money on anything besides food, gas and electric bills. There's tons of backed up inventory on non-essential goods in the big box stores.

Inflation is being driven by the Green agenda of ending "fossil fuels". The costs of manufacturing and shipping have exploded. Those costs are passed along in the price of the products creating the inflation. If you keep raising interest rates you'll just continue to increase costs and create higher inflation. Until the company is no longer profitable and goes out of business. Then you'll have high unemployment and the beginnings of a depression.

MOSCOW, September 6, 2022 The All-Russian Public Opinion Research Center (VTsIOM) presents survey data on the attitude of Russians to the special military operation of Russia in Ukraine.

In an August survey, an average of 70% of Russians reported that they were more likely to support this decision, 18% rather did not support it, and another 12% found it difficult to answer.

Regarding #2 - about liberals complaining that the Republican state legislatures are making it tougher to start and pass propositions/referendums.

Here in CA, we have a proposition/referendum system too. The state legislature is heavily controlled by Democrats.

The proposition method is usually the only way to bypass the Dem. state legislature.

    California passed conservative measures:
    - banning racial quotas (Prop 209)
    - ending support for illegals (Prop 187)
    - banning gay marriage (Prop 22)

Liberals didn't like this. So they passed measures that make it harder for a proposition to get on the ballot.

In other words, doing the same thing that Buzz is complaining that the Republican legislature are doing.
