When the speaker of the House announced she would visit Taiwan, Chairman Xi of Red China threw a hissy fit.
Newsweek reported, "China Warns That Nancy Pelosi Taiwan Visit Would Be 'Red Line' for Conflict."
The story said, "China has asked the US side not to arrange Pelosi's visit to Taiwan, and stressed that 'the US must be fully responsible for all consequences caused by this,' the official state newspaper wrote. 'It must be noted that if some US politicians want to use the Taiwan question to make political capital, they will certainly have a deeper understanding and feeling of the old Chinese saying, 'he who plays with fire will get burned.'"
Foreign Ministry spokesperson Zhao Lijiang said, "If the U.S. were to insist on going down the wrong path, China will take resolute and strong measures to safeguard its sovereignty and territorial integrity."
Worry warts in America decried the trip.
Thomas Friedman of the New York Times, "Nothing good will come of it. Taiwan will not be more secure or more prosperous as a result of this purely symbolic visit, and a lot of bad things could happen. These include a Chinese military response that could result in the U.S. being plunged into indirect conflicts with a nuclear-armed Russia and a nuclear-armed China at the same time."
And once again, the deep state mouthpiece was absolutely wrong.
Much good came out of the trip because it revealed that Chairman Xi is a paper panda. He huffed. He puffed. He blew himself down.
She visited Taiwan unmolested, then South Korea (where the president ignored her) and then Japan. Not a bad trip for a woman whose district is 32% Asian.
Chairman Xi responded by banning Pelosi from visiting his communist empire.
She joins Senators Cruz and Rubio as officials banned from going to a country they have no interest in visiting.
Chairman Xi looks like Winnie the Pooh and acts like a 12-year-old girl telling people that if they are friends with Taiwan they cannot be friends with him.
To use another analogy, Red China is led by a guy with an alligator mouth and a hummingbird ass. By not meeting her, South Korean President Yoon Suk-yeol was tougher on her than Red China was.
Chairman Xi is being mocked on social media.
By people in Red China.
The New York Times reported, "Perils of Preaching Nationalism Play Out on Chinese Social Media.
"Many users mocked the government for not taking military action to stop Nancy Pelosi’s Taiwan trip, saying it hadn’t lived up to its tough rhetoric."
The story said, "No military action in the Taiwan Strait, as they felt they had been led to expect. No shoot-down, no missile attack, no fighter jet flying next to Ms. Pelosi’s plane. Just some denunciations and announcements of military exercises.
"Many people complained that they felt let down and lied to by the government. 'Don’t put on a show of power if you don’t have the power,' wrote a Weibo user with the handle @shanshanmeiyoulaichi2hao shortly after the flight’s landing. 'What a loss of face!'"
To be sure, Red China amped up its military exercises, but it has rattled those sabers for months now.
NYT said, "Some users compared the People’s Liberation Army to the Chinese men’s soccer team, a laughingstock in the country because it has qualified for the World Cup only once. They sneered at the announcement that the P.L.A. would conduct military exercises near Taiwan. 'Save some gas,' said one WeChat user. 'It’s very expensive now,' responded another."
Xi drew a red line in the sand. Pelosi kicked the sand in his face as she crossed it. The threat to shoot her plane down was just that. Empty words.
He's the Biden of Beijing now.
China should have stuck dollar bills in her garter belt that s what she was there for
ReplyDeleteTwo weeks ago who would have thought Don Surber would be praising Nancy Pelosi.
ReplyDeleteWell played Speaker Pelosi. LOL.
Because it is all about owning Don Surber. The world just revolves around me.

Delete🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Well, he is a weather vane (Manchin, Uvalde). Check back in the event Taiwan is blockaded in the near term, to find out if Pelosi's re-election was worth the cost to taxpayers.
DeleteDamn. I thought it revolved around me!!!
DeleteThat downpayment for the Bentley is in the mail.
DeleteNancy and Don
DeleteSitting in a 'stang
Whispering about
Her daughter Fang Fang
Don asked Nancy
Can we go "far east"
Nancy says "south"
But beware of yeast...
Demopox. Careful Surber!
Don...hit that button!!!
DeleteThey may now goad him into attacking to try and save face. Losing face is a big, big deal.
ReplyDeleteThen neither of us will be surprised when it happens. I'm still shocked he hasn't gone after taiwan by now anyway after beijing biden running away from aftghanistan plus having his afternoon naps disturbed by constant ukraine begging more $$ from USA taxpayers.
Delete“And when I get excited
DeleteMy little China girl says
Ohh baby just you shut your mouth
She says…shhhhhhh…”

Fook Taiwan. I’m tired of all this. We need to start slaying some LibCommies on OUR side of the pond.
Again, I don't know why China did what it did. I am not entirely convinced China is a paper panda. Is China playing some kind of long game where it will strike when we are least expecting it. I don't think we can rule that out, either. As the Chinese say, May you live in interesting times. Is this a blessing or a curse?
ReplyDeletePlaying the long game would be part of Sun Tzu's Art of War so I would think so. Whatever they do, I don't see how any of this benefits the American people. If anything, it just seems like another part of the Globalists plan.
DeleteXi may look like Pooh bear, but he’s not full of stuffing. China will attack at the time and place of their choosing.
ReplyDeleteAnd honestly, the US deserves to be attacked. Our President and his entire administration are China’s whores. They can slap us around because of that.
Though NONE of this would have happened in a Trump administration.
Nancy Pelosi would have never visited Taiwan under Donald Trump. Let Secretary of State is Anthony Blinken visit Taiwan, and not Pelosi. Bill O'Reilly had a terrific summary of this event, worth watching !
DeleteIt was told to me that China kept all their ships and aircraft inside the recognized 60 miles boundry, and did not venture into the contested south china sea where China makes extra-territorial claims.
ReplyDeleteWe had aircraft up in the air ready. I'm guessing we sent word to China's military via secure private channels that if anything gets close enough to her plane, we will shoot it down or sink it. If you get lucky and shoot it down, we will sink every ship you have, even in harbor. And of course, anything flying. Just so we understand one another.
It would be quick, and it would be ugly. And they would have no right to respond via nukes. Would be a great way to lose most of your navy and airforce immediately. Which is why I knew it was all theater.
Well, Xi has lost face so you know he's going to have to do something. The first thing China has done is stop exports of sand to Taiwan which is used in making semiconductor chips. So expect the cost of electronics to go up and for a shortage of new automobiles due to a lack of chips.
ReplyDeleteNext, Fauci will probably brew up another China flu to lockdown Americans again and hurt the economy even more. Who knows what else will be on the menu.
Still trying to figure out how this benefits the American people in any way but hey, Pelosi may have gotten some more voters for Democrats so lets cheer that I guess.
Just curious, but how do you think the rest of the world views this? Do you think they look at us like a big bully? Do you think they saw us push Russia into a corner so we could start a war in Ukraine? I know they all saw us bomb the shit out of the Middle East for two decades. Do you think they see us pushing China into a corner to start yet another war?
I read a lot of news from other countries including the comments. We are not well liked around the world. Since there's not a country in the world that we won't threaten or bully or bomb, I can see why.
If we are such horrible people, why do so many from around the world want to move and settle here instead of seeking asylum in China or Russia?
DeleteBut now there aren’t any mean tweets from orange man bad.
DeleteOops NB, I didn't see the part about asylum. I guess I'd have to know more about the reason the person was seeking asylum. I would say that a white Christian might be better off seeking asylum in Russia because Biden's administration is unlikely to let them in.
DeleteAnd I'm not saying the American people are bad. Far from it. Most Americans are good people. But our government has been hijacked by warmongering globalists. And I don't like it one bit.
The Beijing government broadcasts its military arsenal. The Taiwanese keep their mouths shut, so no one knows how many aces they have up their sleeve. One of the proverbs from the biblical book applies here. "Boast not of tomorrow, for thou knowest not what that day will bring."
ReplyDeleteBTW, the official name of Taiwan is the Republic of China, and indeed it embodies the traditional culture of China as modernized by Sun Yat-Sen. Its main attraction to visitors is the National Palace Museum, which holds an immense collection of artistic masterpieces that once belonged to the dynastic emperors and which were spirited out of the mainland when the Nationalists retreated to the island stronghold.
One term I heard is that the PRC has fired its "Mouth Cannons" and that has to be the most descriptive term for that sort of bluster.
ReplyDeleteI'm assuming that govt official has been turned into compost by now.
DeleteOK, we know the Reds are in trouble at home. Banks are failing along with the oft-mentioned list of woes the Reds have racked up and people are angry. You don't start a war when the home folks hate you.
ReplyDeleteAs for MaligNANCY, she got hers in Seoul. Talking about President Ben Franklin in Taipei puts her in the same box as Brandon, so this trip did her no good, either.
A lose-lose for the Forces of Eeeevilll; as Hedley LaMarr would put it.
PS I notice Jeffery is all over the place (surprise!) drooling over Don's support for the Ice Cream Queen.
As they say in the Orient, the enemy of my enemy is my friend.
At least for now.
“ To be sure, Red China amped up its military exercises…”
ReplyDeleteIs that what happened to the strategic reserve oil that Biden sent to China?
So.....exactly what was the reason Pelosi infested Taiwan?
ReplyDeleteLikely had to do with the chip industry as much as anything else, especially since she and her husband are amassing a family fortune from the enterprise.
DeleteNo more social credit score for @shanshanmeiyoulaichi2hao, unless that was Xi’s mom…
