Trump's CCTV tapes may be the FBI's undoing

The FBI had DC Mayor Marion Barry trapped. They had him on tape having an affair with a woman who was not his bride and using coke. That was enough to indict him.

But when the case came to trial, his lawyers demanded the FBI show jurors the whole tape. And for 83 minutes, the court saw Barry's ex-girlfriend, Hazel Diane “Rasheeda” Moore, try to get Barry to do drugs.

When he finally did, the FBI quickly arrested him. He uttered those infamous words: "Bitch set me up."

She had. The FBI had. And the jury rightly acquitted him.

The videotape exonerated him.

Guess who else has videotape. The Donald.

Now guess who is sweating. The FBI.

CNN reported, "Some allies of former President Donald Trump are urging him to publicly release surveillance footage of FBI agents executing a search warrant on his Mar-a-Lago residence, a proposal that has drawn mixed reaction inside his orbit, CNN has learned.

"The CCTV footage has been so closely held that aides to the former President aren't sure if he has seen it in full himself, said a person close to Trump.

"'I don't think it's been shared by anyone outside of the attorneys,' this person said.

"Yet when asked earlier this week by Fox's Sean Hannity whether the footage would be released, Trump's son Eric said, 'Absolutely Sean, at the right time.'

"Some of Trump's aides and allies have encouraged the former President to make some of the footage available to the public, believing it could send a jolt of energy through the Republican Party's base. One person familiar with the conversations said there have been discussions about featuring the August footage in campaign-style ads, believing the footage could bolster Trump's claims of political persecution.

"Another person close to Trump said it's not a matter of if the former President and his team release any of the footage, but when, noting it could be released before he makes a campaign announcement."

***

Bitch Set Me Up is one of my favorite quotes from American history. I put it right up there with Give Me Liberty Or Give Me Death because the government is not supposed to set you up like that.

But Trump's security cameras can (and will) turn the table on the bureau. The FBI fears the CCTV footage that Trump has.

The Washington Examiner (its owner is a Never Trumper) said, "Andrew McCabe, a former deputy director of the FBI, said on CNN that there would be 'deep concern' within the bureau with such a video release. Among the reasons he listed were the disclosure of classified materials and the 'increased risk' that it would pose to agents involved in the search after Breitbart published the names of FBI agents who carried out the raid."

Trump fired McCabe and withheld part of his pension. THAT was not in the story because that would have discredited McCabe.

The real risk for the 30 FBI agents who conducted the raid should be jail for abusing power. They sought and got a Democrat magistrate who once served as Epstein's lawyer to grant the search warrant.

Search warrant? Fishing license is more like it. The FBI's cover story was they were looking for classified documents (he already de-classified everything at Mar-a-Lago) and then they said they were looking for nuclear codes (which are changed with every presidency). They took his passports. They had no business doing that. First they denied it. Then they admitted they had them and will return them.

In two weeks.

Unless the warrant said take his passports, they had no authority to confiscate his passports.

This was a fishing expedition because the FBI knows a president can take home whatever documents he wants.

Just the News reported, "When it comes to the National Archives, history has a funny way of repeating itself. And legal experts say a decade-old case over audio tapes that Bill Clinton once kept in his sock drawer may have significant impact over the FBI search of Melania Trump's closet and Donald Trump's personal office.

"The case in question is titled Judicial Watch v. National Archives and Records Administration and it involved an effort by the conservative watchdog to compel the Archives to forcibly seize hours of audio recordings that Clinton made during his presidency with historian Taylor Branch.

"For pop culture, the case is most memorable for the revelation that the 42nd president for a time stored the audio tapes in his sock drawer at the White House. The tapes became the focal point of a 2009 book that Branch wrote.

"U.S. District Judge Amy Berman Jackson in Washington D.C. ultimately rejected Judicial Watch's suit by concluding there was no provision in the Presidential Records Act to force the National Archives to seize records from a former president.

"But Jackson's ruling — along with the Justice Department's arguments that preceded it — made some other sweeping declarations that have more direct relevance to the FBI's decision to seize handwritten notes and files Trump took with him to Mar-a-Lago. The most relevant is that a president's discretion on what are personal vs. official records is far-reaching and solely his, as is his ability to declassify or destroy records at will."

The people who conducted the Mar-a-Lago raid could be facing obstruction of justice charges.

Those CCTV tapes could be Exhibit A at their trials, which would be in Florida -- not FBI-friendly DC.

Next 2+ years will be revolutionary for the USA. Does the country reclaim its constitutional roots or get sucked into the morass of WEF global world order and democratic socialism.

remember... IF four 2020 election audits were conducted, (PA, WI, AZ and GA), open and honest and available for anyone's oversight... the nightmare of Pedo Joe Biden and his cast of malignant aholes would END.

Not so. Once the Congress has certified who is President and Vice President, the election is over - even if everything leading up to that point is fraudulent. There is no provision for invalidating that decision.

    5. The Supreme Court in 1878 ruled that fraud vitiates everything to include sworn oaths. This means that when the congress, and then VP Pence, swore under oath the election was accurate that the fraud committed invalidates their ruling on who is the constitutional president.

    6. Excellent points Don, keep up the good works. Yes it was just a fishing trip, but the voting mess willl be the real game changer if we can stop any of it ? USA now has no governement at all, just a bunch of criminals who pretend to be officials and lie nonstop for their own agendas ! They must be stopped by any means necessary

  2. All this is Kabuki theater BS. They probably won't get anything to stick to Trump but they can make his plans much more complicated. As for the FBI? Exactly WHO is going to do jack effing Shiite to them? Certainly not the criminals running their parent crime syndicate...the JustUs Department. And there really is no other agency that can address the FBI corruption other than Congress...which is owned by the Communist left and who likely will steal elections in Nov to maintain that control. In short TINVOWOOT...and America is screwed.

Merrick Garland? Would the Turtle Mcconnel even speak his squeak up, supporting it publicly? Never happen. Just like hillary and obama will never be charged for assigning the same bought off FBI gestapo on trumps campaign in 2015. Or Brennan, Clapper, Comey et al

      Nice to dream however.

    2. They don't NEED to be charged. Trump just needs to wait until them make a false claim about ANYTHING that he has video contradicting. THAT proves them LIARs and seals the case for FULL discloser becomes a slam dunk.

I he left them something fake, but too juicy to resist leaking (which I think is likely) he simply has to wait for it to show up in the press and spring his trap.

    2. There was a time when attorney-client privilege was hard set in law. Those days are over, starting with Manafort, but now repeated several times.

Those security tapes should be duplicated several times and moved to a location the FBI can never find, because a single copy will be an open invitation for another phonied-up search warrant.

Whatever charges they produce, defense attorneys should immediately demand a change of venue from Washington DC. With a 95% Democrat jury pool and a history of partisan Democrat judges, no Republican can get a fair trial in Barter Town. Preposterous? No, not really. DC is a supermarket for tainted jury pools.

I don't know how you change that, but that doesn't mean Trump or any other Republican should play along, any more than they should play patty-cake with the Southern District of New York.

Judges hate when that happens, and might throw out the tape and never let the jury see it. That's where all those motions come in. Then the judge views it privately in chambers. If he decides the feebs screwed the poodle, then case dismissed.
