Don't bail out Ukraine

Congress just gave Ukraine another $1.7 billion.

Democrats want to give Ukraine $60 billion on top of that.

Republican Senator Kevin Cramer of North Dakota wants to give Ukraine all the money we have and then print some more money to give to Ukraine.

Cramer said, "In general, the reason I support it, and the reason I think Ukraine is the good guy in this fight, quite honestly, is that if for no other reason, I do believe that Vladimir Putin is evil, I think Vladimir Putin harbors the fantasies of restoring the Soviet Union in as much as he can and that the first wave of that was Crimea, the next wave is where we are now, I don't know that he plans on stopping.

"I don't know why he would stop if he gets parts of Ukraine or all of Ukraine, and then it becomes obligatory after that, as you know, as a NATO leader, as a NATO country, Article 5 obligates us to defend another NATO country should they be attacked. Holding back Russia is the main purpose of NATO.

"The price of letting the Ukraine fall to Russia, to the US taxpayer, and to the cause of liberty, I think is very, very high."

There are many things wrong with his statement. Ukraine is not a NATO ally.

And Ukraine is not a free nation. In March, Zelensky banned his political opposition thanks to a friendly parliament. The 11 opposition parties include the Opposition Platform for Life, which has 39 seats in the 450-seat Ukrainian parliament.

That we do not have the money to splurge on Ukraine is a given.

But the facts aside, this also is bad foreign policy that encourages war and the loss of liberty that goes with it.

In May, Biden told the Ukrainian people in a video, "We will help you rebuild, rebuild your cities, your homes."

Why? What business is it of ours what happens in Ukraine? Let Europe worry about Ukraine.

We all know why Biden wants U.S. taxpayers to pour money into Ukraine: Bribery. His idiot son will siphon enough money from this gravy train to make the Big Guy a billionaire. If we are going to rebuild Ukraine, then make them give us the deed to the land. Make Ukraine our colony and take every grain from its crop each season. I also want all its oil.

I am not of the America Only persuasion, but I see evil in giving Zelensky -- a crook -- any check, let alone a blank one.

America has a bad habit of getting into wars, winning and surrendering (Vietnam and Afghanistan being the best examples). Soldiers die because of these DC games.

Biden is smart enough this time not to send American troops but he is encouraging Zelensky to fight until the last drop of blood from everyone else in Ukraine.

  2. The Kremlin Is Forcing Europe to Undermine Its Own Sanctions
A few days ago, I wrote a piece for UnHerd noting that last weekend, to little fanfare, Western sanctions against Russia started to collapse. What’s more, they started to collapse due to a clever intervention on the Kremlin’s part. The Russians said they would not be able to deliver much-needed natural gas to Europe in sufficient quantities unless the Canadians released a gas turbine that was being repaired there, and which is required to ensure the Nord Stream 1 pipeline is functional.

President Volodymyr Zelensky is a Jewish former comedian who won election in 2019. He replaced another Jewish president Petro Poroshenko, after being heavily funded and promoted by Ukraine’s richest oligarch Ihor Kolomoyskyi, who is an Israeli citizen and now lives in Israel.

  4. Putin has a nasty habit of informing people of what is actually going on in the world:
“They should have understood that they have already lost from the very beginning of our special military operation, because its beginning means the beginning of a radical breakdown of the World Order in the American way. This is the beginning of the transition from liberal-globalist American egocentrism to a truly multipolar world – a world based not on selfish rules invented by someone for themselves, behind which there is nothing but the desire for hegemony, not on hypocritical double-standards, but on international law, on the true sovereignty of peoples and civilizations, on their will to live their historical destiny, their values and traditions and build cooperation on the basis of democracy, justice and equality. And we must understand that this process can no longer be stopped.”

    1. That's real funny. And completely incorrect. Russia is a dying nation. Doesn't mean they can't go out with a big bang. But they can't project strength. They are a commodity based economy. They won't starve, and they have enough oil and gas to keep the lights on.

  32. I think it's time we stop bailing out Israel. America barged into the European theater and took out Hitler with the help of Russia, then proceeded to re-establish the state of Israel, reclaiming land in the Middle East just like Putin is trying now in Ukraine.
The American public shells out BILLIONS to Israel EVERY YEAR, even as Israel does business with Russia, China, most of our adversaries.

Ukraine was decimated in the 1930's by Stalin's forced starvation, the Holodomor. AMERICA and EUROPE stood by and witnessed it, even allowing stolen Ukrainian grain to be sold and consumed by western markets. Washington and London thought they could have a "relationship" with Stalin and threw Ukraine under the bus. Many Bolshevik Jews were acting as mercenaries for Stalin in helping to manage his Holodomor and gulag programs, mostly to gain favor with Uncle Joe.

American history books contain NOTHING and Stalin's genocide or the USSR's guilt, but we do read how Stalin helped us destroy the NAZIS on behalf of the Jews and Israel.

The Holodomor was designed to wipe out Ukraine's independent farmers who rejected the Kremlin's collectivization. He killed Ukraine's "deplorables",, who, by the way, were most often Christians.
Jews, Poles and others were acting as agents for Ukrainian farmers, were quite predatory on them and were despised for the way they treated the farmers. Stalin recruited many to do his dirty work in Ukraine.

The USSR has never paid the price like Japan and Germany have paid for their crimes against humanity, and now we have confused or corrupted Conservatives in America willing to throw Ukraine under the bus AGAIN.

Ukrainians are the newest Uyghurs. The Kremlin and Russian Orthodox are encouraged by American "fake" Conservatives who believe that Puin is Russia's Trump. Putin is Stalin's clone, a national thief, a murderer, a buddy with fellow KGB Patriarch Kiril, and they have successfully convinced America's religious right that Ukraine is Nazi country and Russia is the victim.

I'm sorry, but this deplorable is done supporting anymore stupid, deadly, costly wars in far away lands that benefit no one except the ruling class oligarchs and their buddies paid for by our tax dollars and our sons and daughters blood. Donald and Anon, you got any skin in the game? 7. plus there were a ton of congress ran over from both sides to a war zone. Makes you wonder if there are only a few hot spots in the war zone because our idiots in congress wouldnt have gone if their skin might get scratched. I am sure they are on the list for kickbacks of one form or another.

    8. I agree we need to curb spending. I was saying this during the Trump administration when he was spending TRILLIONS. The funding for Ukraine represents less than 1% of what Trump spent. It is money well spent to stop the destabilization of Europe and Putin's expansionist dreams.

    9. Yes, Trump spent trillions, then Biden did 2 more bills in trillions. So instead of stopping now, he is accelerating that spending. This can only end badly for us. China is doing the same thing w the road to Africa. They are having bank runs in some areas that MSM are not reporting. Ukraine is a sink hole. Several other things are sink holes. We need to cut them all back. Free is not Free. If I ran my household budget like this, I would be in the poor house jail. And yes, it BOTH sides.

    10. To be precise Trump increased the debt by close to 8 trillion dollars! Did you complain about his spending? Ukraine is not a sink hole and I believe what Victor David Hansen said, " Ukraine can defeat Putin's expeditionary army if the United States and its NATO allies increase aid."

  39. I wonder if his missing has to do with the flooding in that area early this week?

    1. Poca is on the Kanawha River, so it is possible. I hadn't heard about the flooding in WV, but internet and cell service would certainly be affected.

2 - Northern Arizona University requires four diversity courses to graduate. I’d never had made it past my first month of college if I had to go through this crap.

3 - Israel’s Knesset breaks into “Fuck Joe Biden” chant as improperly elected President looks on and joins in the chant.
