Highlights of the News

ITEM 1: NBC reported, "The Supreme Court ruled 8-1 on Thursday that leaders of North Carolina’s Republican legislature can step in to advocate for a voter ID law in court that they believe the state’s Democratic attorney general isn’t fighting hard enough to defend.

"The law was passed by the Republican-controlled legislature, but the governor and his attorney general are Democrats, giving rise to a case that presents a dispute about what happens when political parties don’t control all the branches of state government.

"In 2018, North Carolina voters approved an amendment to the state constitution requiring a photo ID to vote in person at the polls. When the state legislature passed a law to specify how the provision would work, it was vetoed by Gov. Roy Cooper, a Democrat, but the legislature then overrode his veto and enacted the measure.

"Writing for the majority, Supreme Court Justice Neil Gorsuch said Thursday that state legislators could defend the law."

The message to Republicans is to be like Rufus T. Firefly, who said, "Remember, you're fighting for this woman's honor, which is probably more than she ever did."

ITEM 2: Independent Journal Review reported, "Liberals are melting down on Twitter over the Supreme Court’s decision in a major case involving the Second Amendment.

"On Thursday, the court released its opinion in the New York State Rifle & Pistol Association Inc. v. Bruen case, which struck down New York’s restrictive law, arguing that it violates the Second and Fourteenth Amendments.

"The decision triggered an avalanche of fury as liberals took to Twitter to blast the Supreme Court and suggest that it should be dissolved."

Get out the buckets and collect the tears because Olbermann tweeted, “It has become necessary to dissolve the Supreme Court of the United States.”

Every time liberals lose, they want to rip up the Constitution.

Hillary lost? Get rid of the Electoral Collรจge.

A 50/50 Senate blocks legislation? Get rid of the Senate.

Don't like a decision? Get rid of the Supreme Court.

ITEM 3: Democrat Governor Kathy Hochul said she was "sorry that this dark day has come.

"That we’re supposed to go back to what was in place in 1788 when the Constitution of the United States of America was ratified.

"I would like to point out to the Supreme Court justices that the only weapons at the time were muskets. I'm prepared to go back to muskets. I don't think they envisioned the high-capacity assault weapon magazines intended for battlefields as being covered, but I guess we're just going to have to disagree."

She lied.

We won the revolution with Pennsylvania long rifles

Liberals repeat the same lies until they become the new reality.

ITEM 4: The Daily Advertiser reported, "Lafayette residents, activists and library leaders butted heads Wednesday at a public meeting on the recent controversial book display ban that went into effect in early June.

"Previously the library system would highlight celebrations like Pride Month, which is this month, or Black History Month, which occurs in February, with displays of prominent books on those subjects at some of its locations.

"But going forward, any displays that highlight only part of Lafayette’s population will be halted, including displays centering on Cajun and Creole culture, religious holidays and other group-specific topics."

There's your inclusion. Deal with it.

ITEM 5: Pride Month is exclusionary. It denigrates heterosexuals and cisgendered people as well as devout Christians and Muslims.

Its cultural appropriation of the rainbow -- a covenant between the Lord and Noah -- is appalling and it should be actionable in a civil lawsuit.

I am amazed that a secular government not only allows the bigotry but promotes it.

ITEM 6: The Daily Beast had a meltdown over a new Netflix series, Snowflake Mountain, which depicts 8 sheltered young-uns in their 20s trying to deal with survival in a camp run by two military veterans.

DB said, "If you hadn’t already guessed, the snowflake in Snowflake Mountain refers to the pejorative term largely used by the right—and often preceded by the word liberal—to describe someone who is overly sensitive."

From its safe space, DB said, "The survival experts, Matt and Joel, a former Army combat engineer and a former Navy Explosive Ordnance Disposal technician, respectively, are purposely disarming and approachable so as to purport a message that people who commit mass destruction for a living are actually harmless."

If the vets told them they were Ukrainians, DB would have praised them.

DB also said, "Netflix’s stock is plummeting due to a major loss in subscribers this year that’s only projected to get worse. Snowflake Mountain reads as a desperate attempt by the streaming service to court conservative viewers who may not see themselves represented in their current slate of programming. Netflix has already taken a right-wing stance in our current culture war by allowing transphobic comedians to thrive on its platform."

If appealing to liberals-only made money, Netflix would not be this desperate.

Someone is enjoying something DB does not like. Waah!

ITEM 7: DW reported, "A woman in the United States who says she's descended from slaves portrayed in widely-published, historical photos owned by Harvard can sue the university for emotional distress, the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court ruled on Thursday.

"Tamara Lanier says she is the great-great-great-granddaughter of Renty Taylor, who along with his daughter Delia was forced to be photographed for an 1850 study by a professor trying to prove the inferiority of Black people.

"Lanier demanded the photos and unspecified damages from Harvard, saying the school had exploited the daguerreotype for profit."

White guilt is the fastest growing con in America and the Western World.

ITEM 8The Hill reported, "President Biden’s approval rating has slipped for the fourth straight week, according to a new poll.

"The Reuters/Ipsos survey, published on Wednesday, found that 36 percent of respondents said they approve of the job he is doing as president.

"Biden’s approval rating has been below 50% since last August, pollsters noted."

That was when he surrendered Afghanistan and a second term.

ITEM 9: NPR reported, "Sri Lanka's debt-laden economy has collapsed after months of shortages of food, fuel and electricity, the prime minister told lawmakers Wednesday in comments that underscored the country's dire situation as it seeks help from international lenders.

"Ranil Wickremesinghe told Parliament the South Asian nation faces a far more serious situation than the shortages alone, and he warned of a possible fall to rock bottom."

Shortages of food, fuel and electricity?

Sounds like the Biden States of America.

ITEM 10: WND reported, "Rep. Liz Cheney of Wyoming, the GOP member who turned on President Trump to become his enemy, possibly because he criticized her father, is turning to Democrats to try to stay in office.

"Cheney voted for one of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's failed impeach-and-remove campaigns against Trump. She took the job as second-in-command of Pelosi's January 6 investigation commission, and got booted from her national GOP leadership post for it."

Remember when Democrats wanted to try Dick Cheney for war crimes?

BURN OF THE DAY:

Chris Wallace is so excited to learn someone wants to be interviewed by him.

ITEM 11: The New York Post reported, "The sports car that can zoom up to 200 mph, but the driver couldn’t get away faster.

"A totaled 2020 McLaren 600 LT was left on the side of the road in Washington state after its owner seemed willing to flee from the more than $200,000 luxury sports car.

"The sleek and pricey coupe can reach speeds of up to 124 MPH in less than 10 seconds, though it came to a halt after apparently crashing into a guard rail along State Road 512 near Tacoma, according to Washington State authorities.

"The state police tweeted out photos of the destroyed white McLaren early Tuesday morning and said troopers were investigating the hit-and-run accident."

Any crash you can walk away from -- without having a Breathalyzer -- is a good crash!

ITEM 12: Clarence Thomas, rainbow warrior.

Guns. They are not just for straight white males.

ITEM 13: The Washington Examiner reported, ''Paul Pelosi, the husband of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), was charged Thursday in connection to a car crash in California last month.

"The 82-year-old was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol causing injury and driving with a 0.08% blood alcohol level, according to the Napa County District Attorney's Office."

At 16, he went joyriding with his 19-year-old brother and crashed and killed him.

You would think he would have learned his lesson.

ITEM 14: Jordan Boyd reported, "Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi shoulders much of the blame for the security breakdown at the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, a preliminary report from Republican investigators Reps. Jim Banks and Rodney Davis determined.

"The Capitol Police were half-staffed on Jan. 6, Pelosi’s House Sergeant at Arms denied multiple requests for National Guard assistance from the Pentagon and the USCP Chief in the days leading up to Jan. 6, officers were poorly equipped and had insufficient riot shields and helmets, and they were never trained to handle a riot even after the riots of 2020, the investigation shows, according to Banks."

It was a trap.

ITEM 15: Just the News reported, "House Democrats on Thursday celebrated the passage of the LGBTQI+ Data Inclusion Act, which will ask Americans to declare their gender identity and sexual orientation on federal surveys, such as the Census."

But the Supreme Court won't let us ask if you are a legal resident.

ITEM 16: Reclaim the Net reported, "Paramount CEO Bob Bakish has said its back catalog will not be censored to conform with modern sensibilities in its subscription streaming service Paramount+

"Some streaming services, including BBC’s iPlayer, Netflix, Disney Plus, and more, have removed, censored, or put up trigger warnings on old shows and films that are deemed inappropriate by some in the modern era."

And just like that, Forrest Gump was uncensored again.

ITEM 17: Yikes Today reported, "Lavaca County, Texas grand jury declined to indict a 23-year-old young father who beat a 47-year-old man to death with his bare hands after finding out that the man molested his 5-year-old daughter."

GOOD!

ITEM 18: Post Millennial reported, "A Pennsylvania drag queen has been charged with 25 counts of child pornography following a two-year long investigation from the Attorney General's Office, according to Tri-State Alert.

"Brice Patric Ryschon Williams, of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania has been charged with 25 counts of felony class 2 child pornography and 18 counts of criminal use of a communications facility. Williams is being held on a $100,000 bail at Franklin County Corrections."

The story also said, "A Facebook post revealed that Williams took a strong liking to transgender youth and shared a story about a child transitioning."

End this drag queen story hour madness. They are grooming.

Oh, and send Mister Williams to Lavaca, Texas.

    2. Spare us the ROLCON, Jeffery. The law is DOA since SCROTUS has already decided on the matter.

    3. The problem with the new law is that the courts will need to rule on it. Liberal courts will enforce it and if SCOTUS doesn't act quickly, real people will suffer real harm as a result.
We can solve this by awarding the victims of government overreach compensation paid in full by the bad actors in law enforcement who take action on this clearly unconstitutional move.
Then take every Congress critter who voted in favor and remove them from office directly to a jail cell. Preferably like the ones Alexander Dolgun described.

But even if FJB himself is Epstein’d or 25A’d, Cacklin’ Kammie would just step into the role of Prompter-reader, with the same or other puppeteers controlling her. The only way this gets better before 2024 is Trump as Speaker, then impeachment of POTUS and VPOTUS, which given the RINO control of Congress, I don’t really see happening.

Do you know what Sri Lanka did last year? They went "green" and practically outlawed petroleum based fertilizer for their crops. The harvests of their crops were greatly lowered thus reducing the amount of food for their own consumption, but also for export.

    https://modernfarmer.com/2022/03/sri-lanka-organic-experiment/

"Within six months of the ban, rice production in the country—a once very sufficient industry—dropped 20 percent, forcing Sri Lanka to import $450 million of rice to meet supply needs and surging rice prices rose nearly 50 percent."

  16. Regarding #7, Harvard photographs, there seem to be more lawsuits of this type. Descendants of an "aggrieved" party suing for present damages, in other words, reparations on an individual basis.

Getting enough of these lawsuits on the books may open up the opportunity for a class action lawsuit on a national scale reparations.
