The faces of gun owners

Joey R. Johnson is a trans rights activist.

Whether he likes it or not, one of those rights he seeks is covered by the Second Amendment. He posted a series of tweets showing the faces of gun owners across America.

His point was a few gunowners own a lot of guns.

Well, a few readers own a lot of books.

  1. Was the point of the original series an effort to show just how many ordinary people-next-door-type Americans own multiple guns? Well, except for the woman named Morgan in the fourth photo from the top. From the look of things, there is nothing merely "ordinary" about her at all.

  2. My guess is that there is an ethos of safety around more guns. Fine with me. I have a lot of books, some nice first editions.

  3. and, Retro, yes, Morgan appears to be, um, special.

  4. OK, I can see having a firearm (maybe more than one) for protection, a couple if you compete, one for hunting (if that's your thing), but some of those arsenals I just don't get.

    1. My wife’s good friend’s late husband (pancreatic cancer) once showed me his collection of NASCAR replica cars. It was insane. At least 15 big glass cabinets of cars, at least 500 total. He said they were going for about $100 each these days. So what’s the diff? You just dropped you mask, methinks. Commie.

    2. People can have what they want. I have no issue. The crime rate of legal gun owners is actually below that of police officers.

More power to them. AN armed society is a polite one. And after the authority's abdication of their duties to protect the public, twice at gun free school zones and then the last two summers of "love" in blue hell holes, I'd say the public should arm themselves more. In my state, 46% of the adult population has a concealed carry license. I fear that might not be enough.

    3. Let's see: Remington 1100, Winchester model 50, Miroku Daly 500 sxs, Mossberg 500, Remington 1900 sxs (no Damascus), coach gun rabbit ear triggers sxs, single shot .20 and .12 ga. backpackers to go with the anti-blackbears .45 -- all keeping company with the A2 platform AR, and the '16' lower receiver USMA sib gifted in '85...all lost on the family boat trip. The Chesapeake waterfowl were elated. zb

    1. Agree completely. If I ever owned guns, I
      Wouldn’t want anyone knowing it.

    6. Not only is it a hobby it's a good investment . I'm sure everybody knows what a savings account returns are ; give a kid a gun and train them in etiquette and responsibility.

  7. It's their choice, what does it matter how many they own? If I were a burglar, I would not go near any of these homes.

They are an international crew, with some from Israel, Poland and other countries. They could all be James Bond girlfriends, as only a portion of the heat they pack is in their firearms.

  9. Just a small sample of the guns that were not used to shoot up a grocery store or a school last week, owned by people that were just as horrified by it as anyone.

  10. Just imagine a government that does something rational, and concludes that transgenderism is an illness, and those suffering from it should be hospitalized. Joey Johnson might, at that point, appreciate the 2nd amendment.

  11. And this post is why I do not believe the number of guns in circulation is no where close to the number reported.

And There may be even more guns than that which are lying at the bottom of various lakes, rivers and oceans, like those I used to own, if I ever owned any.

    1. I agree completely Schlongvious...Also, the central Florida aquifer has taken it's share. Where else would a sinkhole take the guns...Chicago???

    2. Hmm, wonder πŸ€” how they come up the reported number ?

  12. White, black, male female, old, young the demographics of gun ownership reflect the broad spectrum of US citizens. And thank goodness we ALL have the right to protect ourselves in this country. As for anyone questioning the number of guns owned by any individual, I would just say that should 'we the people' have to take back our country, any gun owner will tell you they are not only equipping themselves, but like-minded neighbors and friends who are aiding in that effort.

  13. Are those real photos? The shadows look off in several of them....

    1. I'm pretty sure Morgan is possibly throwing a large shadow over Eric with that huge arsenal of weapons she is "carrying". Dick ain't got nuthin for that!!!

    2. You know Jim, after looking through some of these pics, I'm with you on this. I think maybe some of these are total BS and staged. Some shadows, reflections, and just downright chicaneries don't match up! Take Brickell Clark (26), Key West, Florida for example. Although most of us would gladly "take" Brickell, the fact remains, Brickell took all of her guns on a boat in salt water to a shoreline somewhere in the Keys and gladly laid them out IN THE SAND for a photo op! No does that. No one takes photos of their kids on a hot plate. No one scratches their nuts with a chainsaw! I'm just saying Jim, Dick is on your side....

    3. And the more I think about it Jim, I believe that all of these are as fake as Morgan's huge ass boobs!!!

    4. And the problem with fake huge ass boobs is....? I don't see a problem at all.

  14. When my late Auntie -my father's oldest sister died, she had an enormous amount of firearms. when kid showed up for the Estate sale, they turned it into a gun show. She was a champion shooter of both pistols and shotguns(Trap, mainly) Rifles, Pistols, (Including her late husband's .45 acp commander) . I keep wondering if the people who bought the place ever ran a metal detector. over the yard and corral.

  15. What got me was how many of them somehow could tell what the dog was thinking. And felt sorry. Talk about projection. And that's a tell about the left. That they would feel they could do that and should do that and somehow be correct enough that others of their ilk would agree. And they all did mostly.
We're never going put the country back together again and it's time we started working at the division now cause if we wait too long it will get done with violence and it won't turn out well for anyone.

  16. BTW; Down in the keys, a lot of the beaches are what's called coquina. That the broken up chips of sea shells. That can eventually turn into sand and there may be some in/on it but mostly its just big pieces 1/8 to 1/4" pieces of shell. If you look you can find places where there's very little sand. Sand can be made from a whole lot of things, and the finer it is the older it is. And Florida isn't that old geologically.
