Gun owners outnumber Democrats

The Geezer-in-Chief came back to the United States to demand more gun laws after an 18-year-old shot and killed 21 people, 19 of whom were schoolchildren.

Biden said it was time to act. Just what new gun laws he has in mind, he did not say.

However, he did say it was time to stand up to the gun lobby.

Biden said, “As a nation, we have to ask when in God’s name are we going to stand up to the gun lobby? When in God’s name will we do what we all know in our gut needs to be done?”

That's cute.

And also out of touch.

81.4 million Americans own a gun. That's 100,000 more people than voted for Biden.

44% of Americans live in a household that has a gun.

Only 42% of Americans identify as a Democrat.

We're Americans. We own guns. Not everyone, but just enough to make criminals think twice. That is why crime is so high in gun-free zones such as Chicago, New York and Baltimore.

Ben Shapiro tweeted, "The Texas shooter violated a multiplicity of gun laws. The suggestion that more gun laws would have prevented this act of unspeakable evil is unsupported, and the implication that those who oppose such laws are somehow in favor of mass shootings is morally reprehensible."

American schools are gun-free zones.

Likewise, Joel M. Petlin tweeted, "Did you ever notice that the people who are most in favor of new gun laws after a tragedy are often the most vocal in opposition to the police who have to enforce the law, and the criminal justice system, where the violators of the law need to be tried, convicted and incarcerated."

In his remarks, Biden pointed out that it has been 10 years since the Sandy Hook Elementary School massacre. In between, there was the Parkland, Florida, massacre. These tragedies are awful but Biden's call to enact "common sense gun laws" is empty rhetoric. He and his party know nothing about guns. They talk about ghost guns. They want to put ID numbers on bullets. They believe the Constitution only covers muskets.

The idea that the gun lobby is a small cabal of greedy profiteers is nonsense. The lobby numbers 81 million and they vote. Sadly, about a quarter of them vote Democrat. That must change.

  1. You have to just love Brandon and his faux outrage. I'm sure somebody told him he wouldn't get his pudding unless all the guns were confiscated.

    2. Fortunately, "the God who IS there" has a very long memory, and for those who have rejected Jesus Christ, His son, i.e. those who's name are not in His book of life, not a single, lying word of theirs will be forgotten, or forgiven. So, keep it up, "ol' Joe from Scranton". I'll be there to watch your trial before God. Justice may be delayed in this world, but it will NEVER be denied, in God's world.

  3. When I was a lad, we had "state hospitals" where those with violent mental conditions were "civilly" held. I am sorry to say that they were phased out without a plan to contain people with violent fantasies. They now walk free among us along with others with "mental disorders" that interfere with their ability to live in society in a productive manner, who needed the protection the "state hospitals" provided. Now we have people defecating on the streets of San Fransisco and mass killings by people who "fall through the cracks".

    1. Demoncrats did that for us, sued in court and the fascistic courts went along with the evil.

  4. I would guess that the number of legal gun owners is MUCH, MUCH higher.

  5. True, I don't count as much, but that was due to an unfortunate boat accident.

    2. Damn straight. I had a heck of a little armory, before that gun safe fell in MY lake, as I was paddling it across to show it to a friend. Dang safe's are a muther to keep afloat, and almost impossible to find, once they sink into that muddy bottom. But, heh, I digress .... :-)

  6. Does the 81 million include people who own guns illegally? That could notch up at least a few million more.

    1. When Oregon shut down state hospitals-late 80's some were converted to prisons. for some of the same
inmates- after they committed their violent crime.

  8. He is ignorant of the fact that millions of DEMOCRAT voters are NEW gun owners, since the insurrection of 2020 riots following george floyd fiasco. Some reports say as many as 2 million first time gun buyers....I'm sure they would just stand by and welcome any moves to take their brand new firearms away.....just sayin....

    1. That will depend largely I think on whether or not they had any training, have fired the gun and knows how to load it. I suspect a lot of those first time buyers got the gun in case they needed to hand it someone who did know how to use it.

  9. I know of libs and big government types who shot guns liked them, and still liked the idea of taking them away from others. Marxists are like that with wealth.

We're #11. Look at all those "civilized, sophisticated" Europeans who are more likely to get gunned down in a mass shooting than we are, "despite" their more restrictive gun laws.

  11. 1. I wonder if Ukraine has a 2nd Amendment. I wonder if a heavily armed society would have made a difference against Putin

    2. Look at all the blatant shit the democrats do to us now while we're still armed. Imagine what they would do to us if we weren't!

  12. Some questions: 1) the shooter wasn't licensed to drive, what ID did he provide for his firearms' purchase?, 2) even a cheap AR15 will run $700, how did he pay for those two AR15s, the EOTEC holographic sight, the 30-round magazines, and the 300+ rounds of ammunition?

Even I, as a holder of a Texas Concealed Carry Permit, must provide valid ID such as a Texas driver's license. I could shell out close to $3000 with my superb credit limit, but where does an 18 year old high school dropout get that money? Why was the school's exterior door unlocked? Certainly one of the teachers on that hall should've checked after the start of classes. Something stinks.

The 500 sights well "He's got a friend" Don't think it's James Taylor either. James Comey maybe I don't know I just said it, it was a thought.

    1. The current "working number" has been 100 million Americans own guns. Females and those placed in a "minority square" are a fast growing segment of gun owners. "New" owners now are often over 50% of the purchases every month.
The Dem party that loves criminals, including violent ones, enough to put them back on the street in a revolving door fashion is also the party that wants to make the non criminals more vulnerable to the criminals. Their solution is to punish the 100 million law abiding gun owners instead of stopping the criminals (violent crime is a crisis) and reinstating reasonable measures & treatment of mental health (mental health - especially obvious with some youth - is a crisis). If they can counsel for trans, they can "sort" the mental health cases.
More laws that will just be aimed at law abiding gun owners and criminals or the mentally unhealthy will not ever follow is the epitome of stupidity & avoidance. Restricting all law abiding gun owners with more laws for acts done by violators (criminals & the deranged) is like restricting all vehicle owners for accidents caused by those who do DUI (like Beto). Since the Dems are now proven incompetents at fixing anything, they just make more stupid laws that won't stop violent crime or heinous crimes committed by the deranged. Take the $40B "earmarked" for Ukraine and finish the border wall ($13B) - stop the crimes at the border of invasion by millions, dangerous drugs killing Americans, illegal weapons smuggling, etc. Take the other $27B and secure our schools. "Gun free zones" are stages for murderous acts by criminals, the deranged and terrorists.
