Highlights of the News

Refresh my memory. Who won the Cold War?

ITEM 1: CBS reported, "Kentucky lawmakers override governor's veto of abortion ban."

The Blaze reported, "Kentucky legislature overrides Democratic governor's veto of legislation to bar biological males from girls' sports."

The madness of liberalism in which killing babies is health care and boys are girls is about to end.

ITEM 2The Quinnipiac University National Poll found, "While 33% of Americans approve of the way President Biden is handling his job, 54% disapprove with 13% not offering an opinion."

That was among all adults. Among registered voters his approval/disapproval is 35%/55%.

Back in September, I said the Fuck Joe Biden chants at football games were a turning point following his surrendering of Afghanistan and $83 billion in war materiel and cash.

The poll found his approval is 21% among adults under 35. 58% disapprove.

Hispanic approval/disapproval is at 26%/54%. White is at 31%/59%. Black is at 63%/25%. Expect more appearances at the White House by the Obamas. My guess is she runs in 2024 to salvage the party.

ITEM 3The National Pulse reported, "Hunter Biden Firm Invested In VR ‘Metaverse’ Used by Child Sex Groomers… And His Laptop Shows He Had an Account."

Hunter is all about sex and drugs and bribery.

If Biden polls at 33% in the aggregate of polls, Hunter's escapades will lead to his downfall. Real Clear Politics has him at 41% and falling.

Democrats knew all about this decades ago. This is pretty good blackmail to hold over a president.

ITEM 4: The Daily Mail reported, "A group of at least 17 gangs targeting Los Angeles' wealthiest are responsible for the city's recent string of 'follow-home' robberies, cops said Tuesday.

"'In my 34 years in the LAPD, I have never seen this type of criminal behavior in such large groups coordinating to conduct attacks on unsuspecting citizens to take their property and/or vehicles,' said Capt. Jonathan Tippet of the attacks, which started in September.

"In November, Tippet was tabbed to head a division designed to combat the robberies, which has seen armed suspects stalk victims leaving ritzy boutiques, hotels, and restaurants before striking.

"The force -- which includes 18 detectives -- was created on November 23.

"Since then, a total of 221 follow-home robberies have been reported -- with a further 45 coming before the task force's creation."

There is no refuge in California anymore. Democrat-backed gangs have left the ghetto and are after everyone.

And yes, Democrats back these gangs. They wave them in along the border, and they never crack down on them no matter how many bodies fill the morgues in Baltimore or Chicago.

ITEM 5: National Review reported, "The Biden administration will extend the public transportation mask mandate for two weeks, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention announced on Wednesday."

The Biden administration is harder on masks than Biden is on illegal aliens.

ITEM 6: The Daily Mail reported, "John Hinckley Jr, who tried to assassinate Ronald Reagan in 1981, will play SOLD-OUT show in Brooklyn this summer after serving 35 years in psychiatric hospital."

He should have been executed.

ITEM 7Josh Kraushaar reported, "President Biden traveled to Iowa for the first time in his tenure on Tuesday to promote the new infrastructure law and unveil plans to tackle soaring gas prices, which include allowing ethanol-blended gasoline to be sold during the summer. The move should appeal to farmers in the corn-rich state.

"But despite the president’s belated attention to the state, Democrats have all but written off Iowa in their political future. The national party is weighing plans to abandon the state's famed first-in-the-nation presidential caucuses, even while it loses ground in pivotal congressional contests. In the latest embarrassment, the party’s leading Senate candidate, former Rep. Abby Finkenauer, was ruled ineligible for the June 7 Senate primary ballot because she didn’t gather enough eligible signatures. Her failure to qualify—if the judge’s ruling holds—all but ensures GOP Sen. Chuck Grassley will be elected to a historic eighth term."

She failed to get 3,500 signatures to put her on the ballot, as required by law.

And she was their best hope?

ITEM 8: The Daily Mail reported, "Seattle's police department is so weakened thanks to the woke policies of its city council that it is no longer investigating reports of sexual assault, according to an internal report.

"Two members of the embattled police force provided documentation to KUOW showing that last month not a single sexual assault case involving an adult victim was assigned to a detective. 'The Seattle police department sexual assault unit is not at all investigating adult sexual assault reports or cases unless there was an arrest,' said one source inside the force.

"Only four detectives handle sexual assault and child abuse cases in Seattle at the moment."

Democrats boast about supporting laws defending women, and then Democrats withdraw the money for enforcing those laws.

ITEM 9: The Washington Examiner reported, "Laws that require charities to disclose their finances and activities to the public endanger the lives of activists, Black Lives Matter co-founder Patrisse Cullors said at a recent event.

"The embattled activist, who is facing renewed criticism following reports BLM Global Network Foundation, while under her control, purchased a $6 million Los Angeles mansion, said she gets triggered whenever she hears the term IRS Form 990, the document charities are required to file to the public every year disclosing their financial activities."

A reader pointed out BLM means Buy Large Mansions.

There is plenty of beachfront property in West Virginia available for those who think the Biden administration will crack down on BLM.

ITEM 10: Yahoo reported, "Game of Thrones actor Joseph Gatt has been arrested after allegedly engaging in sexually explicit online communication with a minor in another state."

He's been in plenty of Disney movies (Thor, Dumbo and several Star Wars projects). And his next film to be released is Titanic 666.

He's innocent of being a pedo until proven guilty in a court of law.

ITEM 11: The Daily Wire reported, "A grand jury is eyeing Loudoun County, Virginia, officials for their alleged role in the coverup of a rape committed by a transgender student in a school restroom first revealed by The Daily Wire.

"The 2021 incident drew national outrage and galvanized local parents angry that the boy, who wore a skirt to school and raped a ninth-grade classmate in the girls’ bathroom, had been quietly transferred to another school where he sexually assaulted another student. Shortly after the first sexual assault, the superintendent publicly said no assaults had occurred in school restrooms. In a news release, Loudoun County Public Schools acknowledged the latest development and pledged to cooperate."

The school board had the father of the rape victim arrested for bringing the subject up at a school board meeting.

I would love to see every one of those school board members jailed for aiding and abetting a felony after the fact.

ITEM 12: Fox reported, "A bus from Texas arrived in Washington, D.C. Wednesday morning, transporting dozens of illegal immigrants as part of Texas Gov. Greg Abbott’s new plan to counter federal immigration policies during an ongoing border crisis.

"Abbott announced last week that he was directing the Texas Division of Emergency Management to transport migrants released from federal custody in Texas to the nation’s capital and other locations outside his state."

You want them? You got them.

ITEM 13: The story most corporate media dare not tell.

Why, if ESPN says anything, Chairman Xi might close Disneyland.

ITEM 14: The Hong Kong Free Press reported, "Hong Kong animal charity the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) has expressed concern over a change in the city’s Covid-related regulation that introduces a penalty for pet owners who refuse to hand their animals over to the government.

"From March 31, pet owners who refuse to turn in their animals to the Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department when handed quarantine or isolation orders face a fine of up to HK$10,000 and six months in prison. In a statement released on Friday, the charity said that the likelihood of pets transmitting virus to their host was minimal."

I am less worried about the pets than I am the humans.

ITEM 15: The Center Square reported, "Texas Gov. Greg Abbott and the governor of the Mexican state of Nuevo Leรณn signed a memorandum of understanding Wednesday expressing their shared commitment to increase security along their shared border.

"Abbott and Gov. Samuel Garcรญa signed the agreement at a news conference in Laredo, Texas. They reached the agreement after Abbott expanded border security measures through Operation Lone Star, directing Texas Department of Public Safety officers to perform enhanced security checks of commercial trucks at ports of entry. This led to protests and major jams, halting international commerce at at least three major ports of entry on Monday and Tuesday.

"Despite the criticism he’s received, Abbott said his plan is working. Within days of implementing it, Garcia called him to say he wanted to help Texas secure the border."

I don't have a song.

I have a poem.

Mending Wall

Something there is that doesn't love a wall,
That sends the frozen-ground-swell under it,
And spills the upper boulders in the sun;
And makes gaps even two can pass abreast.
The work of hunters is another thing:
I have come after them and made repair
Where they have left not one stone on a stone,
But they would have the rabbit out of hiding,
To please the yelping dogs. The gaps I mean,
No one has seen them made or heard them made,
But at spring mending-time we find them there.
I let my neighbor know beyond the hill;
And on a day we meet to walk the line
And set the wall between us once again.
We keep the wall between us as we go.
To each the boulders that have fallen to each.
And some are loaves and some so nearly balls
We have to use a spell to make them balance:
‘Stay where you are until our backs are turned!’
We wear our fingers rough with handling them.
Oh, just another kind of out-door game,
One on a side. It comes to little more:
There where it is we do not need the wall:
He is all pine and I am apple orchard.
My apple trees will never get across
And eat the cones under his pines, I tell him.
He only says, ‘Good fences make good neighbors.’
Spring is the mischief in me, and I wonder
If I could put a notion in his head:
‘Why do they make good neighbors? Isn't it
Where there are cows? But here there are no cows.
Before I built a wall I'd ask to know
What I was walling in or walling out,
And to whom I was like to give offense.
Something there is that doesn't love a wall,
That wants it down.’ I could say ‘Elves’ to him,
But it's not elves exactly, and I'd rather
He said it for himself. I see him there
Bringing a stone grasped firmly by the top
In each hand, like an old-stone savage armed.
He moves in darkness as it seems to me,
Not of woods only and the shade of trees.
He will not go behind his father's saying,
And he likes having thought of it so well
He says again, ‘Good fences make good neighbors.’

ITEM 16: The Georgia Star News reported, "Georgia’s governor Tuesday signed a bill into law that will allow residents of the state to carry a concealed firearm without a permit.

"'I certainly want to thank all of those legislators – many of them – that along with us have been pushing to get this bill across the finish line for a long time,' Governor Brian Kemp (R) said in the bill-signing ceremony at Gable Sporting Goods in Douglasville.

"'SB 319 makes sure law abiding Georgians – including my daughters and your family too – can protect themselves without having to have the permission from your state government,' he said. 'The Constitution of the United States gives us that right, not the government.'

"The new legislation, known as a Constitutional Carry law, is part of a nationwide trend among conservatives to allow law-abiding citizens to conceal weapons without a permit. Georgia becomes the 24th state to pass such a law."

An armed society is a polite society.

ITEM 17: Keith Olbermann challenged Tony Dungy.

It went as you would expect.

Turn out the lights, the party's over.

ITEM 18: ABC reported, "Amazon is taking a step to offset its rising costs, announcing Wednesday it will add a 5% fuel and inflation surcharge to fees it charges third-party sellers who use the e-commerce giant's fulfillment services.

"The Seattle-based company said on its website that the added fees, which take effect April 28, are subject to change and will apply to both apparel and non-apparel items."

Bezos no longer runs the joint.

It shows.

ITEM 19The New York Post reported, "A troubled man who railed against Mayor Eric Adams and made bizarre, threatening rants on YouTube has been identified as a person of interest — and now a suspect — in the savage Brooklyn subway attack that injured at least 23 people Tuesday morning, officials said.

"Frank James — who warned last month that he was 'entering the danger zone' — rented a U-Haul van tied to the N train attack in Sunset Park and is being sought for questioning, police said at an evening briefing."

New York magazine reported, "After a daylong manhunt, police said Wednesday they have apprehended the man who allegedly opened fire inside a train car in Brooklyn on Tuesday, the bloodiest attack on the subway in recent memory.

"Frank James, 62, was arrested shortly before 2 p.m. in Manhattan after at least one tipster called the police. He was hit with terrorism charges by Brooklyn federal prosecutors under a terrorism statute and faces up to life in prison for the attack that wounded ten people and injured dozens more. His motive is not clear, but he made disturbing social-media posts prior to the attack about Mayor Eric Adams and New York City."

A troubled man. Bizarre, threatening rants. Disturbing social-media posts.

The suspect said, "Kill all whites."

If he were a Trump supporter, the media would not be so gentle in its descriptions of his anger and violence.

FINALLY, he had the most beautiful annoying voice ever.

A comic without a heart is like a fish without water.

  7. The Constitution of the United States gives us that right, not the government. - RINO Gov Kemp

Not exactly. God gave us the ability and obligation to defend our precious lives. The Constitution simply states that the government cannot take that natural right away.

Reminder: Gov. Kemp is a lying sack of shit who helped the Democrats steal the 2020 election and two Senate seats. He will stab us in the back at the very first opportunity.

    2. Thank you for clarifying that, Mr. Lobotomy. The Bill of Rights doesn't give us rights. It tells the government what they can not do. Our right to keep and bear arms comes from God, not the government, and not the Constitution.

  9. #7 Corn derived ethanol - a crummy substitute for gasoline, makes the price of corn - used in Food all over the place, compete against oil. If you want to drop fuel & food prices, you OUTLAW use of Ethanol in auto fuels. Which would drop the price of corn - and american grocery bills, and spur Drilling for Oil .

Anyone think the Dems are still happy with their decision to foist the demented Biden on the public by changing voting laws and hiding Joe in his basement?? FJB and F the Democratic Party. May they both wither away to nothing.
