Eric Swalwell is the latest Mask Mandating Democrat Congressman to be caught vacationing in Florida without a mask on.
If Democrats can fine congressmen for going maskless in the Capitol, they should be forced to superglue a mask onto their mugs.
The Daily Mail reported, "Swalwell appears to be following in the footsteps of fellow liberal Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez by taking a trip to mask-and mandate-free Florida - just days after lashing out at Republicans for 'prolonging' the coronavirus pandemic.
"The California Democrat has repeatedly accused conservative lawmakers of being responsible for the ongoing covid wave and last week blamed the GOP for 'canceled vacations' and for having to wear 'masks everywhere' again just before the new year.
"But Swalwell, himself was apparently able to go ahead with his holiday travel plans and ditch his mask just days later, when he was spotted hanging out at the posh Loews Miami Beach Hotel.
"The 41-year-old was seen in exclusive DailyMail.com photos Tuesday chatting with a female friend at the lobby of the four-star hotel while looking after his infant son.
"Swalwell, who represents parts of the San Francisco Bay Area, appeared dressed for the warm Miami weather, sporting a blush-colored polo, shorts, and boat shoes."
Republican Governor Ron DeSantis can use this hypocrisy to his advantage.
He should get his tourism bureau to put together a new campaign targeting California, New York, and other Democrat areas. The ads would show pictures of AOC, Swalwell, and other Democrats who went to Florida to party hardy. These pictures would make the point of the campaign, "Visit Florida. Your congressman did."
And it could have a clip of Every Conservative's Favorite Governor telling reporters, "If I had a dollar for every lockdown politician who decided to escape to Florida over the last two years, I’d be a pretty dog-gone wealthy man, let me tell ya."
Covid is going to be around for a while. Get used to it. Not to be morbid, but cancer killed three times as many people in 2020. (Final 2021 numbers aren't in but the results should be about the same.)
We may as well enjoy life.
In Florida, people are having such a good time that the state is attracting the Branch Covidians in Congress.
DeSantis should pounce.
the RNC ought to make a commercial called "Democrats Unmasked.!"
ReplyDeleteFTA:"The 41-year-old was seen in exclusive DailyMail.com photos Tuesday chatting with a female friend at the lobby of the four-star hotel while looking after his infant son." Fang Fang with sunglasses and a really big hat?
DeleteDeSantis should have them greeted at the Airport and sent back to their home states.
ReplyDeleteUnder what legal authority, Jeffery?
DeleteLOL.
DeleteGet a restraining order Ed.
DeleteAuthority? Authority? We no need no stinkin' authority!
DeleteDemocrats aren't constrained by legal authority. They just do what they want to do then let Roberts find a way to justify it. I doubt it would benefit DeSantis to send them home, but a 24/7 indoor/outdoor mask mandate for visiting Democrat politicians would be fun. And we know that governors can impose mask mandates regardless of "science".

DeleteWhy is Fang Fang's lover Eric Swalwell here in my state of Florida, farting and stinking up the place?

The cancer numbers should be higher. In 2020 people had several months before early detection became a dream. 2021 has a full twelve months of bad medicine.
ReplyDeleteCancer treatment kills more people than it saves. Medical errors are the third leading cause of death and is far ahead of whatever is fourth.
DeleteMedical Derangement Syndrome is the belief that the medical response to covid has been corrupt and incompetent, but all the rest of medicine isn't.
DeleteIt would be better to say that medical response is uneven. Outcomes - based upon severity indices of some sort - will tell you where it is best to go, and where it isn't. Some cancer treatment regimens make significant impact. Some don't - and some if they don't find it in time don't really matter.
DeleteIt would be better to say that the medical profession showed itself to be much more political than anyone thought it was - and most of those, but not all, were in the public health field. In red states, public health officials are getting their authority stripped as they should be. Some of the historic medical associations, such as the AMA, have probably sealed their own demise by acting politically not medically. Like many other things, we are learning that the elite are pretty much garbage as a whole.
DeleteDepends on who's doing the lying. My GP looked straight at me and lied about Ivermectin. My urologist and my radiologist are specialists and have nothing to lie to me about. When dealing with the medical/industrial complex, navigation skills are very helpful.
DeleteThe Left has always been about some are more equal than others.
ReplyDeleteNo shit Sherl…Jeffrey
DeleteWho is the infant's mother? I thought Swalwell was single.
ReplyDeleteThe baby is his second one. He probably got married quickly and needed babies to shield him from the Fang Fang exposure.
DeleteDid he get a new family??
ReplyDeleteOff topic, but is there no comments section today for the Highlights of the News? I don't see one. Am I missing it? Just wondering...
ReplyDeleteNo. I emailed Don.
DeleteDon missed the deadline to open comments on the post. I'll comment here.
DeleteI love the Founding Fathers.
Don's reply: "Our Founding Fathers are proof of devolution because none of us will ever be as good as them."
Delete"Don missed the deadline to open comments on the post. I'll comment here."
DeleteWell, since I had the comments ready to go for when the comments were opened (optimist), here they are. :-)
0 - If my memory serves me correctly, Mr. Brown was married at the time to Mrs. Brown; that might have been a problem.
6 - Let's see what happens in the investigation in Georgia - but it might be useful to consider that there seems now to be two types of "ballot harvesting." The original was to look at the list of people who had requested absentee ballots (who were "favorable") but had not sent them in, and go there and ask for them. The Georgia version (likely also used elsewhere) may have been sending people out to "gather" unreturned mail-in ballots, fill them out, and stuff them into those drop-off ballot boxes. The lefties have been pre-emptively lying that a mail-in ballot is the same as an absentee ballot; it isn't.
8 - Exactly. The days of "American company," "Japanese company," etc. are long gone. Toyota makes great vehicles, and they make many of them in the US. TSMC and Samsung manufacture oodles of silicon "chips" in the US. Etc., etc., etc.
12 - The silver lining in this cloud is seeing our allies actually acting like real nations with real (military-grade) responsibilities, and taking those seriously.
FINALLY - Same old whining. Leftist snobs want to run a feudal system from inside their little enclaves. Why would the hinterlands put up with this? (Look up what happened eventually to the Hanseatic League.) The Founding Fathers crafted a system that kept power spread out enough to keep the country together.
re: Jan. 6 -- Let's remember Ashli Babbit, the unarmed veteran who was shot by a Capitol police officer. Ignore all of the "insurrection" nonsense.
DeleteTed Cruz called Jan. 6 a "violent terrorist attack." He can go away now.
Never trusted Cruz. "Capitol Punishment" shows Byrd ready to shoot whoever crossed the window sill. He gave no warning and murdered Ashli in cold blood. He then ran down the hallway and never administered first aid to his victim--something real LEOs are trained to do. Ashli's family should have sued for $27 million instead of $10 million.
DeleteAgree 110%. (And Ted can still go away.)
DeletePounce? Nah, Big D. SEIZE.
ReplyDeleteThat baby looks like Fang Fang. Just sayin…
ReplyDeleteThe media, including Don, insist on misspelling Swallowell’s name.
ReplyDeleteThat is Heel’s Up’s secret service code name.
DeleteHow come no comments allowed on this morning's Highlights of the News?
