NBC: Trump 29, Biden 5

NBC polled Americans and found 5% said Biden exceeded their expectations in his first year.

29% said that about Trump 4 years ago.

That is remarkable considering the yearlong media battle against President Donald John Trump with the CNN and the other goons foisting the Russian Collusion hoax upon the public.

Of course, 27% said Trump did worse than expected. That is a net +2.

26% now say that about Biden. That is a net -21.

That's amazing considering the only thing his supporters expected was for Biden to not be Donald Trump. The rest of us thought Biden would be a disaster. He's even worse than that!

Now I can sit here all day and tell readers how bad Biden is, and I occasionally do.

But much to my chagrin, my opinion does not matter. The public's does. But my chagrin falls away when I see the public is dissatisfied with this president in a manner not seen in 90 years, when Hoover was president.

The poll found:

27% disapproved of his handling of covid in April. Now 53% do.

43% disapproved of his handling of the economy in April. Now 60% do.

AP found in its poll that 48% of Democrats do not want him to run in 2024

I think that was the same number in 2020.

And yet Obama insisted that Biden get the nomination because Sanders, Buttigieg, or Warren would be a disaster.

Obama wasn't wrong.

No matter how bad Biden is, the rest of the Democrat field would be worse.

That is no excuse and the Democrat Party will be held accountable. Under Biden, Democrats failed to work with Republicans for the betterment of the country except one. That was for passage of a trillion-dollar-plus infrastructure bill.

Democrats wasted 2021 and their slim majority in the House and their tie-breaker majority in the Senate by fighting among themselves. They managed to alienate Sinema and Manchin by demonizing them as racists and *gasp* moderates.

The party's reward is a presidency that is an albatross around the necks of their candidates in this year's congressional races.

5% are saying, way to go, Biden.

The rest of us are saying Let's Go Brandon.

And now for an opposing point of view.

    2. Only reason 5% had expectations exceeded is because they didn't expect him to get out of bed. But he did.

Democrats at the state level are also going to be wiped out. The state level is where the political leaders of the future come from.

    1. Very true! This is exactly what happened during Obama’s 8 years. As he walked on water, the state and local Dems went underwater and never resurfaced. He single-handedly destroyed the down-ballot “bench” of politically savvy moderate Democrats, which is the reason the party is now bifurcated into the geriatric wing and the socialist wing.

    2. Those aren't separate wings, they ARE the party - the party of geriatric socialist derelicts.

    3. I wholeheartedly agree. Of the 4 biden was the only one obama could run.
The others might have been disasters, but, they would be there own disasters. Not obama's third term.

    4. Agreed, the Robot that is Ron...I believe any of the others could not, or would not, follow through with the path the handlers of Bidumn. I could be wrong, and have been before, but I really think someone in a semi right mind would never follow through with the evil going on. Oh, prairie shit, who am I trying to fool... they all suck...Dick don't like them.

  16. Biden was not fit for office when he ran for office. This has been proven by his short term in office already. He ran against candidates that were competing for the strongest Marxist agendas. Biden appealed to the voters to be a centrist and a someone to unite the country. He claimed he would reject the extreme proposals of the other candidates. He hid out away from the public for most of his campaign. Nobody showed up for his rallies. Yet he supposedly garnered the largest voter turnout on record. He beat the number of people who voted for the "rock star" Obama. Certainly an aberration that is difficult to accept. Now we have him and the entire country and the world is suffering from his incompetency.

  20. The Democrats don't care. They know that they own the racist bloc votes of immigrants and that time is on their side. You've lost your country thanks to the insane, treasonous support for mass immigration from Republicans, and not just the leadership but the rank-and-file as well. Is there any publicly known conservative/Republican who is willing to stand up and state the obvious? Immigration policy over the last 50 years has been a civilization-destroying level disaster. If nobody is talking about the main problem, much less dealing with it, don't expect the trajectory of that disaster to change.
