Media won't admit mandates failed

In 2021, the media lectured us long and hard on vaccines.

They were Brainy Smurf to Tony the Phony Fauci's Papa Smurf.

In the cartoon, Brainy Smurf would say, "Papa Smurf says..." and before he could finish his sentence, the rest of the Smurfs would lift him and toss Brainy out of the village.

If only we could do that with the entire crew at MSNBC. Just pick them all up and toss them to Canada.

But the First Amendment protects the Brainy Smurfs in the media. They can blather about covid to their hearts content without fear of reprisal from the government. In fact, a government unable to cope with a virus encourages their tommyrot.

What the media lacks in knowledge, the media makes up in overconfidence.

For example, Ja'han Jones — Joy Reid's flunky — wrote in September, "Nonetheless, it’s likely you know at least one person who is eager to tell you everything they’d do before taking any of the coronavirus vaccines. And while the decision to get vaccinated is not personal — it is literally a matter of public health — it’s a decision Americans are being allowed to make. Going forward, however, those who reject safe and effective coronavirus vaccines may find it quite costly."

A decision Americans are being allowed to make???

The courts have ruled that the Constitution protects their God-given right to decide. The latest judge to just say no is James Hendrix, a Trump appointee who halted vax and mask mandates in Texas for the Head Start program.

As for safe and effective, the vaccines have caused medical problems and even death in some people.

The big story, of course, is the media exaggerated the potency of the vaccines. The vaccines were sold as the answer to covid. Vaccinations greatly reduce the chances of dying from covid, but people still get covid and some even die from it. This is not a vaccine in the sense of the smallpox vaccine, which was the expectation.

Demanding that everyone get vaccinated turned people off because there also are harmful side effects, Not everyone should be vaccinated. The vaccines were meant for the old and the infirm. Biden became president and swoosh, the cry went out to vaccinate everyone.

In the months since, we have learned that it does not work as well as advertised. Quit expecting it to.

Rather than climb down from their Vaccines Uber Alles stance, the government and the media keep pushing this malarkey.

As for the mask mandates and social distancing, witch doctors are more effective.

Mandates failed. It is time to move on. Florida Governor Ron DeSantis kept his state open and banned the mandates. Democrat hypocrites like AOC are vacationing in Florida over the holidays.

I've been vaccinated. You do you. And the government and the media should just stifle before we Smurfs really do have enough of their nonsense and toss them to Canada.

  1. Don't call your vaxes a vaccine when they are not.
Don't say masks and "social distancing" will halt Covid when it won't. Quit blaming us "unvaxed" for your failures.

  2. Twitter’s banning of Dr. Malone has only served to make me more aware of him and read More of his material.

I love his quote to start the post.

    1. Msg from Canada.
What did we do to set you against us?
Well OK, there's Trudeau and there's the CBC, and there's Toronto, I think I get it.

    2. L - you folks have the same problem as those of us south of the 48th parallel ; a few ( I believe much less than it seems ) are intent on forcing their warped views of the world on all the good people of our world who actually make things tick . So , as a son of Dixie who is at least one quarter French Canadian , we don't blame all of Canada for the actions of a few ( Mexico, however, is a different story / conversation ) .

    3. Malone's quote is brilliant. It suggests that the left's weak thinking in this realm is akin to its thinking about socialism/communism. The reason socialism/communism doesn't work is because we need more of it. Rationalizing core beliefs by leftists features 4th grade logic.

    4. South Africa is through with Omicron while only 25% are vaccinated. The nations with the highest infection rates are also nations with the highest vaccination rates.

Let's send them to Haiti instead.

Please, no MSM dumping in Canada !

Stats say otherwise. This is the first vaccine I can recall with a body count.

    1. The smallpox vaccine was another, until now it was the most deadly vaccine ever administered. So deadly in fact (at one death for every million vaccinations), that the US Military banned its use for service members.

    2. For older people they do reduce mortality. Most of the hysteria comes from health care facilities in large densely populated cities that get packed with patients suffering virus related respiratory issues they can't easily unwind. In one major center in NYC cat scan schedules for cancer patients are more than a year out of synch. The media profiteering from panic in effect will be responsible for killing hundreds of thousands off the books and for which crimes their Democrat corporate slave masters many of whom enjoy waitless Concierge medical care packages will pay no penalty. Mandates are useless. America was born a rebellious country.

    3. Yes it has a body count - but the stats don't lie, it is a therapeutic and does reduce serious illness or death relative to those who are unvaccinated.

The issue is younger healthier people without co-morbidities should not be given the covid vax, nor should children.

  5. It's is Inoculation, not Vaccination. It's more like using live cowpox to stop smallpox. Omicron seems to be the key to herd immunity. BTW South Africa has said the
Outbreak has peaked and is on the way down. With fewer deaths by far...
    God's design.

  6. Whenever I visit Mount Vernon, I always think of the bloodletting that went on to try to "cure" the General and likely hastened his demise🤒😥 My mother died of undiagnosed pneumonia at the age of 40...she would have been 100 years old this year...we've gone from witch doctor to "which doctor?" in less than 2 centuries...lotsa of mistakes in the meantime (think: Thalidomide), but still no better time to be sick in the history of mankind...OTOH, as Keynes put it: "in the long run, we're all dead"
Happy New Year, Don...may there be a Bentley in your future

    1. The main reasons people are healthier today than 300 years ago is because we have enough food, and proper sanitation is widespread.

      Delete
    2. Amen to sanitation. Putting chlorine in water, replacing horses with cars, and wrapping garbage in plastic bags (thank you, Union Carbide) saved more lives than anything.

Norman Borlaug's contribution made it possible for billions to live on this planet

    3. Amen to the plastic garbage bags. I never really thought about it until now.

My trash would reek as it’s picked up only once a week.

I’ll never go again, but walk down Park Ave. in NYC on trash day and the plastic bags are piled up like mountains near each building. The shithole city would be totally disgusting without the bags (and thankfully no horses except near Central Park). The rats would be as big as elephants.

  7. Where is the media in defending doctors being persecuted for successfully saving lives by early treatment of covid using long-approved, available repurposed drugs with excellent safety records?

At least 500,000 Americans died needlessly because TREATMENT was ridiculed and therapeutics withheld.

    1. Exactly- it is not science if the data is unreliable, no discussion is permitted and (like global warming) they trot out that oxymoron "Settled Science"

Remember these people have blind faith in the federal government for COVID but completely disregard federal law regarding cannabis, and have Cheech and Chong filling prescriptions at the local head shop.

P.S. It got yanked from YouTube for telling the truth.

  8. As always, leftists are scientifically illiterate - particularly in their moronic idea that a vaccine is a silver bullet. No vaccine is 100% effective, and no vaccine is 100% safe; any vaccine decisions (writ large or writ small) involve trade-offs with respect to the above vs. the strength of the particular pathogen, risks of contracting the disease, etc. Plus, individual physiology differs person to person - and everyone needs to look at bigger picture stuff (age, co-problems, etc.), specific individual issues, etc.

And vaccines were supposed to be one of a multiplicity of responses, which included various therapies, etc.

Besides the moronic belief in 100% effectiveness, leftists also like "one size fits all" "solutions" (sic) not because that's the best way to get good results. "One size fits all" makes life easier for the central-planning bureaucrats, even if the results aren't as good. (It also provides ego gratification for the central planners.)

The odd thing is that the only practical argument I can see against the "unvaccinated" (which I don't think any of the screamers have made... so hopefully not giving them an idea here) is that unvaccinated people (because the pathogen can get into them) can serve as petri dishes in whom new variants can develop (by mutation), and then those new variants go out from the unvaccinated and the vaccines aren't effective against them, and then the vaccinated are harmed by the actions of the unvaccinated. But nothing like that has been demonstrated as yet to have happened.

Keep in mind, though, that there's an ugly truth lurking under all of this - particular as "the government" "pays for" more and more health costs. If "someone else" is paying for health care costs, then that "someone else" will (with justification) claim the right to dictate actions and behavior related to that care and its costs.

I still remain flummoxed by "single payer" (sic) advocates who seem to believe that "single payer" (sic) will mean that they can consume as much health care as they want, at no cost, and with no behavioral requirements pushed back on them. That won't happen.

    1. They wouldn't use that argument because the vaccinated can and do get covid, as well as pass it along.

    2. The vaccinated have from an Israeli study 27 times the viral load to enable them to spread the virus. Once Delta hit, the vaccinated started to become the problem with the spreading the disease. For November, the UK reported that 81% of those dying were fully vaxxed. What was true for Alpha was not true for Delta and now Omicron.

      Delete
    3. Consider ... vaxed gets covid, covid virus recognizes what it needs to do to survive in this body-- makes the adjustment (mutates). Virus by definition seeks to spread widely- by not killing hosts it is able to keep spreading.

      Less death = more spread.

I'd like to know more about the zero-eth strain. Original COVID. Where they welded apartment buildings shut, and hosed down blocks of neighborhoods with bleach. Remember?

    4. Well said. And "single payer" also means fixed price, almost zero incentive for innovation. The real tragedy of the nationalization of healthcare is the end of innovation.

Gays wrecked their immune system by taking toxic recreational drugs. ("poppers")
The subsequent fear generated and the toxic drugs (AZT)
prescribed certainly killed hundreds of thousands.

  10. It's going to be an amusing couple of weeks. The data from Omicron is lots of cases, even in the super-vaccinated, but much lower hospitalizations and deaths (and a lot of those likely from leftover Delta). Also, South Africa had a sharp spike outbreak and are now going back to normal.

Many of the "leaders" see this ending. No more "Cry Pandemic and let loose the Dogs of COVID". Few want to beNicolae Ceaușescu, who failed to see the writing on the wall, so was put up against the wall. But the media, professors and others are behind the curve.

Heck, apparently yesterday the NY Times reported on findings about Omicron I saw reported on the 19th. Omicron mostly infect the bronchial tubes and unlike earlier variants doesn't infect the sacs of the lungs so much. Making it less likely to cause fluid and easier to treat. Also, as we see, easier for the body to dispatch without medical assistance even for the most vulnerable. I mean, 99.99% of people who got SARS 2.0 dispatched it without medical assistance.
