800 jobs in Mason County. In my nearly 40 years as a West Virginian, Mason has always been poor and a leader in unemployment.

West Virginia has led the nation in drug overdose deaths for 20 consecutive years.

ITEM 2: Newsweek reported, "Donald Trump has taken a swipe at 'gutless' politicians who refuse to say whether they have received a COVID-19 booster shot, a group that includes one of his biggest allies in Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.

"Speaking to the One America News Network, the former president said that many public figures do not have the 'courage' to state either way if they have got the third dose to protect themselves and others against the virus."

The old lion fears the new lion will replace him. It would cost him his pride, in both senses of the word.

ITEM 3: The Brick Fan reported, "Lego Overwatch 2 Titan Release Delayed."

The company said, "We are currently reviewing our partnership with Activision Blizzard, given concerns about the progress being made to address continuing allegations regarding workplace culture, especially the treatment of female colleagues and creating a diverse and inclusive environment. While we complete the review, we will pause the release of a Lego Overwatch 2 product which was due to go on sale on February 1, 2022."

How woke.

File this under the Dissidents Tax.

Remember, governments no longer tax to pay for programs because they can print up all the money they want. Taxes now are just punitive.

ITEM 5: Muddy River News in Illinois reported, "Judge Bob Adrian threw Josh Jones, lead trial attorney for the Adams County State’s Attorney’s office, out of his courtroom Wednesday morning for a 'comment' Jones recently made on social media.

"Jones and Adrian were in courtroom 1B for status hearings on a series of felony cases in Adams County Circuit Court. After Adrian entered the courtroom and was seated, he immediately turned his attention to Jones.

"'Mr. Jones, get out,' he said.

"Jones didn’t immediately react to Adrian, so the judge continued.

"'I’m not on social media, but my wife is,' Adrian said. 'She saw the thumbs up you gave to people attacking me. I can’t be fair with you today. Get out.'

"With a quizzical look on his face, Jones walked out of the courtroom without saying a word."

The public does not like the judge's decision to let a rapist get out of jail after 148 days. Imagine that.

ITEM 6: The Defender reported, "A 26-year-old South Dakota man who died Nov. 12, 2021, of myocarditis — four days after his booster dose of Pfizer’s covid vaccine — had no idea he was experiencing a rare and supposedly mild heart problem after the shot.

"Joseph Keating’s only warning signs were fatigue, muscle soreness and an increased heart rate, family members said.

"In an exclusive interview with The Defender, Joseph’s father, mother and sister said the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has not investigated Joseph’s death.

"The CDC also did not contact the pathologist who performed the autopsy or request the documents which confirmed Joseph’s death was caused by the Pfizer vaccine."

The statists will say he didn't die from covid, so the vaccine worked.

ITEM 7: Matt Vespa wrote, "Biden's Epic Collapse Has Democrats Desperately Looking to Hillary Clinton for Salvation."

Epic collapse? He was elected. She blew a 10-point lead in 10 days.

Maybe she can run against Dick Cheney and Bill Kristol, the ultimate grift ticket.

ITEM 8: The New York Post reported, "The grandfather of the newborn who was tossed into a New Mexico dumpster by his teen mom has revealed that his 16-year-old son is the child’s dad — and that his family is seeking custody.

"Oscar Astorga, 50, said that his son Stephen is the boy’s father — and that the 16-year-old, who broke up with Alexis Avila, 18, in August 2021, had no idea that she had been pregnant."

As a paternal grandpa myself, I am rooting for Astorga.

ITEM 9: Francis Menton wrote, "The big front page story in the New York newspapers the past couple of days has been the fire on Sunday in an apartment building in The Bronx that has killed some 19 people so far — with as many as 30 more in the hospital with life-threatening injuries."

Worse tragedy in NYC since 9/11.

Menton wrote, "Do a little research, and you quickly learn that this is a heavily-subsidized building, built according to the socialist model, for low income people. It was erected in 1973 (and thus is 48 years old), with funding provided by New York’s Urban Development Corporation (since re-named Empire State Development Corporation). As is inevitable in the socialist model, the building has been inadequately maintained. Nobody has had any incentive to keep it nice, let alone safe.  Now, everything had become ripe for disaster."

He made a good case that socialism kills.

So does its twin, corruption. 

ITEM 10: The Daily Mail reported, "A 'poisonous' ex-girlfriend who sent herself threats from fake Instagram accounts to get an innocent man locked up has been jailed for 10 months.

"Courtney Ireland-Ainsworth created up to 30 false profiles, then told police her former partner Louis Jolly was behind 'vile' messages that she said had been sent to her.

"The DHL worker, who was 19 at the time, reported him for supposedly threatening to stab her and warning: 'She is getting a f***ing blade in her chest.'

"She made 10 police statements claiming Mr Jolly was harassing and stalking her, leading to him being arrested six times and spending 81 hours in custody, including being remanded overnight.

"Mr Jolly was arrested six times, charged with assault and stalking, hit with a stalking protection order, bailed on a home curfew with an electronic tag, and even lost his job."

Gee, I wonder why he broke up with her.

ITEM 11: The Quinnipiac Poll has FJB's approval at 33%.

Among Hispanics, it is 28%.

Among whites, 32%.

Among blacks, 57%.

Increasingly, Democrats are the black party, turning off other races.

Vaccines do not stop the spread of the virus. Nothing does. Ray Kroc would have personally kicked the ass of Leslie Louie, the official who evicted the very families the house was built for.

ITEM 14: CWB Chicago reported, "Days after $1 million smash-and-grab, Lightfoot walked out of meeting with 'idiot' luxury car dealer — then a city inspector showed up with a ticket book."

The story said, "The inspector allegedly saw three employees and one customer not wearing covid  masks inside the dealership. She issued a ticket for two violations: failing to comply with the commissioner of health’s mask order and failing to comply with BACP’s order to comply with the commissioner of health’s mask order."

Complaining brought a fourth ticket for "interfering with or obstructing the commissioner’s designee in the performance of duties."

Democrats side with the criminals now.

Obviously, they get kickbacks from gang-bangers.

Democrats will shut down anyone who complains.

When you vote Democrat -- at any level -- you vote freedom away.

ITEM 15: Marco Rubio said on the Senate floor, "I don't care how many candlelight vigils and musical performances you have from the cast of Hamilton, you're not going to convince most normal and sane people that our government last year was almost overthrown by a guy wearing a Viking hat and speedos."

Good to hear.

Republicans are growing a spine a year after they allowed Democrats to turn riots into protests, and a protest into an insurrection.

FINALLY, Channel 4 in DC reported, "The psychosexual evaluation of a teenage boy convicted of two separate sexual attacks in Loudoun County Public Schools scares the judge who on Wednesday sentenced him to undergo treatment at a residential facility and ordered him to register as a sex offender.

"Loudoun Juvenile and Domestic Relations District Court Judge Pamela Brooks ordered the teen to receive treatment, counseling and full rehabilitation at a locked residential facility until he turns 18. Then, on his 18th birthday, he will return to court for next steps, she said.

"Before the sentencing, the teen had to undergo a psychosexual evaluation, which evaluates a person's sexual interests to see if there is a deviation from generally accepted behavior and the risk of sexual reoffending in the future.

"Brooks said she had read countless psychosexual evaluations, but found the teen's results particularly disturbing.

"'This one scares me,' she said."

This is the boy in the skirt who was allowed to use the girls restroom, where he raped girls on separate occasions. He may have raped a third girl but she won't testify.

The father of one of the raped girls complained to the school board. They had him arrested. Democrats used the occasion to label all parents domestic terrorists. Biden now is setting up a domestic terrorist SWAT team within DOJ.

Folks, it is no exaggeration to call ours a fascist nation. Dissidents will be sent away for protesting the election, or not getting a vaccination, or refusing to pretend boys in skirts are girls.

But God watches over children, drunks and the USA, right?
