Putin to Biden: no vax mandate

The New York Times reported, "President Vladimir V. Putin of Russia said on Thursday that he had no plans to impose fines or criminally prosecute people hesitant to be vaccinated against the coronavirus, even though Russia has one of the lowest vaccination levels in Europe.

"About 56% of the country’s population is inoculated against the virus, and the government has not introduced vaccine mandates. Mr. Putin said at his year-end news conference that such mandates would be counterproductive."

Russia is now freer than America.

Everyone knows the vaccines and the boosters are not the answer.

Zero Hedge reported, "As President Biden once again pushes booster doses on the population with his latest winter plan, the WHO is once again pushing back against this zealousness for vaccines and booster shots by declaring that booster shots shouldn't be prioritized by the  developed governments that control the vaccine supply. Instead, the US and other developed nations should focus on allowing drugmakers like Pfizer and Moderna to distribute more shots in the developing world, because hoarding boosters and focusing primarily on their own populations is a denial of the WHO's 'science.'"

WHO chief Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said, "blanket booster programs are likely to prolong the pandemic rather than ending it."

But this is not about medical science.

Political science is at work here. Biden's mandates exist only to create a handy-dandy scapegoat for his failure called The Unvaccinated!

Omicron is a diluted version of covid that the media and Biden administration hyped. While omicron has spread around the world, there are few reports of deaths. Perhaps omicron will work like cowpox did. Getting cowpox protected people from smallpox.

Omicron may yet save Biden, according to Shane Croucher of Newsweek.

Croucher wrote, "You can see the moment the American public turned against President Joe Biden in the polling data. Around the end of August, just as the U.S. was completing its troop withdrawal from Afghanistan—a chaotic and deadly saga—Biden's approval rating sank underwater."

That led to the chants of "Fuck Joe Biden" from the student sections at college football games as people woke up to the fact that we have an evil crook as president.

After reviewing the poll numbers, Croucher wrote, "The one positive running through this, however, is the public's view of his response to the pandemic. The 538 tracker on this issue shows a narrowing over time, but Biden remains net positive; as of December 22, he has 47.9% approval and 45.6% disapproval, coming out at plus 2.3 percentage points.

"Just like Afghanistan, the Omicron variant—an inevitability in which the real political test is how it is prepared for and then handled—may prove a turning point for the view of Biden, who had promised to get control of the federal government's response to the pandemic."

Biden certainly hopes so.

Presidents have to slay dragons. Omicron may be a petting zoo dragon (and not even an evil petting zoo dragon at that) but 'tis a dragon nonetheless. 

So the press and the president will ignore the dangerous dragons -- inflation, the supply chain mess, and Red China -- and trot out the teddy bear dragon. Biden on Tuesday fluffed it into a winter of despair and doom. 

However, as Obama said, never underestimate Biden's power to fuck things up.

Meanwhile, Putin's approval rate is 63%.

One reason may be his refusal to panic by mandating vaccinations.
