Manchin shows Biden's dangerous

On Friday, before Manchin finally said no to Biden's $5 trillion (CBO estimate) boondoggle and kickback scheme, the Wall Street Journal said in an editorial, "For inexplicable reasons, Joe Biden misread his narrow electoral victory, and the narrow Democratic majorities on Capitol Hill, as a mandate for 'transformational' change."

WSJ has it backward. Voters and pundits misread Biden. They thought they were getting a harmless and befuddled old man who would keep the seat warm while the two parties sorted things out Aprรจs Trump.

Basement Biden has played that role well. He hints at handlers running the show and the gullible fall for it. He is no moderate. He is no fool. He knows how to stage and frame his presidency.

Being seen as a puppet gives him a great advantage because he is never held accountable. Someone else is pulling the strings. In fact, being manipulated by unseen hands makes him the victim. Poor Joe.

On Hoppy Kercheval's radio show this morning, Manchin explained to West Virginians his veto of the Democrat spending plan. He said he was led on and on for months by the White House.

Not Biden, but the White House, as if Manchin were dealing with an inanimate object.

Manchin said, "This is not the president -- this is staff.. They drove some things, and they put some things out that were absolutely inexcusable. They know what it is, and that's it". I just got to the wit's end of what happened."

Now Manchin is a sharp guy, but come on. Biden is the president, and he calls the shots. He -- not his staff -- gave Kamala the cold shoulder at Bob Dole's funeral. He -- not the generals -- surrendered Afghanistan. He -- not liberals in Congress -- demanded socialism and green energy nonsense stay in the BBB bill.

Biden is no centrist, but he plays one on TV. How easy it is for Biden to tell Manchin one thing and have his staff do something else.

Look at the amateurs he hired for his staff. Do you think for a moment that Blinken calls the shots as secretary of state? Biden was the top Democrat on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee for a dozen years. Few things are as large as a senator's ego and this man ranks 18th in all-time service in the Senate at 36 years, 13 days. If you count his 8 years when as vice president he was president of the Senate, Biden ranks 6th in all-time seniority.

When Manchin told him no, Biden flipped out. How dare some punk with less than 12 years seniority rebuke him?

Biden dispatch Psaki and the Squad to attack Manchin.

Liberal blogger Glenn Greenwald tweeted, "There is no political faction in any country I've covered as a journalist that more worships their political leaders than Dems in the US. They revere them like teens revere pop idols. And they are thus never blamed, can't fail, can only be failed, etc.

"Absolutely everything Democrats are doing with the BBB bill -- the unfulfilled promises, blame-shifting, excuse-making, the general loser ethos -- is what they have been doing without pause at least since I began writing about politics 16 years ago. Not one thing has changed."

And the biggest fawners are the press.

Voters did not realize that Biden's politics are to the left of Obama, not right.

Now they know.

The editors of WSJ should have used their opinion pages to push Trump because their criticism of Biden rings so hollow now.

  1. Don, I usually agree 99% with you. On this one, I think you miss two very important points. This article gives the impression that Biden actually won the election. You know, and we all know, he did not. It was only through vote manipulation that he got in. Second, you seem to think that he has an agenda of his own. You forget that he sold out, for cash, a long time ago. He now has to do the bidding of others. No, he is not in control. Others most definitely are.

    1. Agree. Furthermore, I don't think any President since JFK has truly been in charge. Trump maybe had relatively free reign in a few narrow areas like trade negotiations, immigration deals with Mexico etc. though little influence over Big Intelligence, Big Finance, Big Military, Big Government, Big Tech, Big Media etc.

For an idea of what Presidents are really up against (or actually working for), here's a description at some length of the networks behind a pandemic, a gene script response, digital ID, upcoming cyber security attacks, financial crashes and so forth, all linked:
      https://www.dailyveracity.com/2021/12/17/the-shadowy-cia-data-firms-behind-the-creation-of-digital-vaccine-passport-ids/

Presidents are small fry compared to these much-larger-than-any-country global networks.

  2. When you first started saying that the power behind Joe Biden was Joe Biden, I had trouble agreeing with you. I'm still skeptical but starting to lean your way. It will be interesting to see what the truth really is, if we ever do learn the truth.

  6. If Biden dispatched "Psaki and the Squad" to what opposed him, this was the equivalent of sending the German Air Force (the Luftwaffe) to stop the Allies on D-Day (06/06/44).

  8. "Liberal blogger Glenn Greenwald..."

THERE is no such thing as a "liberal" in America.

OR Scotty Reston (NY Times; callously married a Truman daughter) is alive:

    1. Maybe she already has. Read Al Morgan's novel "The Essential Man" for that is its plot. A popular just-reelected POTUS has a stroke and collapses taking the oath of office. He's kept under wraps and soon dies. His wife and staff make a body double, etc. Al Morgan was the Producer of the Today Show back when it was good; his novel "The Great Man" became the 1956 movie of the same name. I stayed at his house twice.

  11. I just cannot accept that Biden's ego would allow Joe Biden to portray himself as the complete incompetent that he has become. I totally agree that throughout Biden's career he has played the congenial moderate to cover for a very mean and bitter partisan radical (just ask Justice Thomas). I think now that he is truly incompetent which exposes his true self.

    1. Good call. Brandon has one of the greatest inferiority complexes since Kaiser Bill.

But he never played "the congenial moderate". He was always right and blew a fuse whenever challenged, questioned, disagreed with, or faced with any of the "smart guys". Politically, he always stood with the segregationists. He's a racist and nobody ever doubted it.

  12. You didn't need Manchin to show what he is. Democrats knew it for 40 years.

Voters and pundits misread Biden. They thought they were getting a harmless and befuddled old man who would keep the seat warm while the two parties sorted things out Aprรจs Trump.

Sure, that's why he did so badly in the primaries. The voters wanted Trump. That's why the Demos had to steal the election.

    Who writes this?

Being seen as a puppet gives him a great advantage because he is never held accountable.

Seen his latest numbers? He's even underwater with Demos.

PS Buck Fiden AKA Let's go, Brandon.

He -- not the generals -- surrendered Afghanistan. He -- not liberals in Congress -- demanded socialism and green energy nonsense stay in the BBB bill.

What do you think ValJar did for Zippy every morning?

    Same with Brandon.

Biden was the top Democrat on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee for a dozen years.

Only because of seniority. And his career is as full of wrong calls as the Deep State Dwarf's.

  13. We love you, Don Surber. However, on this one I believe you are wrong. All these politicians can be slippery and tricky and that includes Biden and Manchin.
First Biden is not smart enough to pull off fooling everyone into thinking he really isn't in charge and really be in charge. The man had to cheat much of his way through college. Now he is evil enough to attempt something like this. That's pretty obvious, but a ruse like you are suggesting would just be too much for his little, tiny mental capability. If this were an act, he would be the Superman of Thespians. He's being controlled and manipulated. Next question: by whom?

  14. On Blitzer, on Joe Manchin:
Many are very enthused now that Joe Manchin held the line against the Marxist, me included. He now has the wrath of the Democrats and the media against him. How will he ever survive?
He will survive and thrive as a politician. He's good at it. He is quite polished at playing both sides. A classic is a meme I have of Manchin in two different pictures. One is Manchin pictured with a pro-life group and beside this one another picture of him with a pro-choice group. Nothing speaks more about his willingness to play both sides.
Lastly, Nancy Pelosi is perplexed by the rising crime. Pretending to be clueless, she now says it's not acceptable. Meanwhile Soros and his money continue to place DA's who refuse to enforce the law. One of these were recently confirmed by the senate and approved by our own Joe Manchin.

  15. Since when did Joe Biden become the greatest actor in American History?

Let’s be honest, not even Peter Sellers (dating myself) could pull off acting the Demented Old Coot as realistically as Biden appears to do every day his wife and staff allow him to interact with the public, in the wild so to speak.

For example, nibbling on his wife’s finger while out in public campaigning for the Presidency. That was an absolute stroke of genius and courage if in fact Biden did it purposefully to give the impression he was a demented, low on sodium, geezer who needed to snack on the closest source near to him. And did.

If this is all an act, I’ll be the first to applaud Biden and tell him he’s in the wrong line of work. He could make a helluva lot more (even recognizing he’s made a ton through a lifetime of political corruption) through his awe-inspiring acting abilities.

Come On Man, pass the finger.

  16. Xiden won? BULLSHIT! They stole it, and like a stolen car, it will never be theirs. Zou is taking his orders from the money people who made it happen. Until they pulled the plug on campaigning, Bernie Sanders, Communist, Vermin was the lead snake.
They picked Joe and the Ho because they can be manipulated with ease. His greatest accomplishments thus far are not shitting himself in public more than three times a week.
Xi jin Ping is mostly calling the shots in my opinion. Barry and Soros are also part of the mix, but Pooh is controlling pooper.

  17. Whatever Xiden is or isn’t, I’m glad Manchin is holding strong for now. I think the more vitriol sent his way, the more he will hold firm.

    1. I just finished reading it and this and have to disagree. Joe was an accomplished criminal mastermind and his politics were slightly to the right of Obama but, he is now suffering dementia. Of that, I have no doubt. He is controlled and manipulated and sometimes his normal self comes out but, he is the most controlled president in history and has to be due to decline in mental ability. He is not calling the shots. Democratic presidents rarely due anyway until Obama. They just go with the flow and the polling and try to get rich. Serious ideologues like Obama are back in charge and Biden is their puppet, perfectly trained over a fifty year political career and now barely able to contain his own physical functions. Imho.

    2. Good points. I'm not really sold on Surber's thesis, either. The idea that this is an elaborate act by Biden just doesn't fly. Biden's staff being a bunch of mental midgets (like their boss) doesn't mean the whole crew isn't being manipulated to one degree or another, and there is probably a struggle among the Democrat factions as CoS Klain and others woke up on 3rd base on 3 Nov 2020 and now believe they can hit triples.

Nobody has ever talked about Biden's impact on the Democrat party in the way the Clinton, Kennedy, or Obama had circles of influencers. I think most people understand that he was selected as the most salable Democrat in 2020. Harris was probably supposed to be the new face that took off but she flamed out too early.

  19. No way does Joe act the buffoon regardless of whatever the end game is. No way does he cast himself as a doddering, senile old fool domineered and restrained by puppet masters in order to achieve...what exactly? If Joe has been nothing else in his nearly 50 years feeding at the public trough, he has been this: A walking, talking, flaming ego.
