Cuomo: I did not pull the trigger

Oh wait. That was what Alec Baldwin said. I get these liberal schmucks trying to salvage their reputations mixed up. Baldwin pleaded the-gun-did-it amendment in a powderpuff interview by George Stephanopoulos.

A reader pointed out, this means the rehab has the blessing of the Clintons.

No, Chris Cuomo did not warrant ABC's top news anchor. (The evening news like the evening newspaper has lost to its morning competitors.) Cuomo was relegated to Sirius XM, where he still has a show.

He said, "Quick note about the obvious — I've been suspended from CNN.

"You know this already. It hurts to even say it. It's embarrassing, but I understand it. And I understand why some people feel the way they do."

That is no admission of guilt or apology. It's on you.

He said, "The last thing I ever wanted to do was compromise any of my colleagues or do anything but help. I've apologized in the past."

Why not apologize again?

Because that would be an admission that he did something wrong in using his resources to discredit the women who accused his brother of sexual harassment. He played the role of Hillary in doing damage control. His brother was Bill. Or tried to be. Bill could seduce women with an Elvis-like charm. Andy Cuomo is more like Moe Szyslak, the bartender on "The Simpsons."

Fox hammered CNN with a story, "CNN anchors refrain from publicly condemning Chris Cuomo for avalanche of journalistic malpractice."

Fox hosts were silent about the firing of Bill O'Reilly. Once she was safely on NBC, Megyn Kelly did speak out.

But O'Reilly was fired. Cuomo isn't. CNN is keeping its finger on the checker before making its move official.

On the other hand, the Daily Mail reported, "Jeff Zucker 'hit the roof' on learning of Chris Cuomo's meddling texts to help ex-NY Governor brother Andrew fight sex pest claims, with the star's 'lies' prompting his sudden suspension, as insiders predict he'll NEVER return."

Maybe it is spin. CNN is better versed in PR than it is journalism these days.

Republican Congressman Ronny Jackson of Texas tweeted, "Not surprising to see Chris Cuomo was involved in COVERING UP every terrible thing his brother did. Liberal journalists do this all the time. It’s nice to see one of them finally be held accountable!"

He was in the Obama White House. He knows.

We all do.

We also know Cuomo and Baldwin are not getting the scrutiny the media gave Kyle Rittenhouse.
