The female Kyle Rittenhouse

Long before a 17-year-old named Kyle Rittenhouse shot and killed two men who attacked him (including a convicted child molester) during the Kenosha Riots of 2020, a 17-year-old named Chrystul Kizer in 2018 shot and killed her pimp, also in Kenosha. She too claimed self-defense.

Both cases received mainstream media attention, although the narrative was decidedly different. The Washington Post, New York Times, and the Associated Press were sympathetic to Kizer.

Alyssa Milano and other celebrities raised money for her million-dollar bail, after the presiding judge, David Wilk, dropped it to $400,000.

Judge Bruce Schroeder set Rittenhouse's bond at $2 million. Mike Lindell, CEO of MyPillow, and actor Ricky Schroder raised money for his bond.

CNN reported on June 24, 2020, "A Wisconsin teenager accused of killing her alleged sex trafficker was released from jail Monday on $400,000 bond, according to the organization that paid for her release.

"Chrystul Kizer, 19, had been jailed for nearly two years since being charged in connection with the June 2018 death of Randall P. Volar III, according to the Chicago Community Bond Fund.

"'No one should be incarcerated for surviving violence against them,' the Chicago bond fund said in a statement.

"The Kenosha County District Attorney's Office told CNN they're not commenting on Kizer's release since this is an ongoing case.

"Kizer, who is black, was allegedly trafficked by Volar, who was white, beginning when she was 16 years old, the bond fund said.

"Kizer maintains that Volar's death was the result of self-defense, the fund said."

The self-defense claim may be tainted by her premeditation and her plan to steal his car afterward. Then again, that may underscore the claim in this case.

However, the Kenosha News reported on June 25 that an appellate court ruled "Kizer — accused of murdering a Kenosha man who had been filming sex with her and other underage girls — could use an affirmative defense for sex trafficking victims at her trial."

Judge Wilk had ruled she could not use that defense.

Prosecutors appealed the reversal of his ruling to the state Supreme Court, placing the case in limbo.

I cannot trust the mainstream media's reporting on the case but in light of the Rittenhouse verdict (which apparently has widespread support in Kenosha), the prosecutor should consider dropping the case.

Prosecution is not about winning cases; it is about serving justice.

UPDATE: At 7 PM Eastern, I will mock AOC.
