Lin Wood let us all down

Kyle Rittenhouse's post-trial interview with Tucker Carlson was the biggest get of the week -- month -- year. I doubt Rittenhouse will give anyone else in the media the time of day. The biggest losers were his original lawyers, Lin Wood and John Pierce.

Rittenhouse said Wood and Pierce had the money to bail him in September 2020 but kept him in there for 87 days to "raise money so they can take it for their own benefit. Not trying to set me free."

Lawyers jerking clients around is as old as the law itself, but this accusation is off the charts chicanery.

Newsweek reported, "Lin Wood, an attorney for Republican former President Donald Trump, has threatened to sue Kyle Rittenhouse's attorney, Mark Richards, for calling him an "idiot."

"'You know, Lin Wood and I went head-to-head and, you know, he'll probably sue me for it, but he's an idiot who let (Rittenhouse) talk to the Washington Post while he was under charges for murder. I mean, come on,' Richards said in a Friday CNN interview.

"In the interview, Richards also accused Wood and fellow attorney John Pierce of 'trying to whore this kid out for money, for their own causes,' adding that the attorneys were 'raising tons of money on him.'

"In response, Wood wrote an email to Richards stating, 'You publicly stated in an interview on CNN that I was an idiot. False, I am not.'"

There's $2 million on the table. People donated the money to Rittenhouse, not his lawyers. Wood and Pierce want it.

Wood became a national hero when he represented Richard Jewell, whom the FBI falsely accused of being the Olympic bomber. In reality, Jewell saved hundreds of lives by spotting the bomb and warning people to get away.

Later, Wood succeeded in making settlements with CNN and other news organizations that spread the lie.

Two decades later, he represented Nicholas Sandmann in his libel suits against big media. CNN settled. The amount never was disclosed. Real Americans cheered.

But now Wood is a grifter living off his reputation.

The Daily Wire reported, "Kyle Rittenhouse said during an interview with Fox News on Monday night that his legal team is in the process of going after individuals who defamed him in the media.

"When  Carlson asked if he was planning on holding 'liars to account' who smeared him, Rittenhouse responded, 'I have really good lawyers who are taking care of that right now.'

"'So, I’m hoping one day there will be some, there’ll be accountability for their actions that they did,' Rittenhouse said.

"'Okay, so you’re intent on not, you’re not gonna let that go?' Carlson pressed.

"'Like I said, really good lawyers are handling that,' Rittenhouse said."

Wood let us down by keeping Rittenhouse in jail so Wood could get more money from well-meaning people.

Maybe holding him in jail for 87 days longer than necessary is a crime, too. An investigation would clear this up.

But Rittenhouse is letting his lawyers handle that. He is a wise man.

His most profound statement was when he said, "If they did this to me, imagine what they could've done to a person of color who doesn't maybe have the resources I do, or it's not widely publicized like my case."

People should always bear in mind what the government does to the other guy it will do to you. I promise.

  1. This was one of the biggest revelations of that interview. I long suspected Wood was a grifter and got on board the Trump cause for monetary purposes and now I have proof. I hope he is made to pay a very expensive price not only for what he did to KR but what he did to reduce the credibility to accusations of a stolen election. I know he wasn't the only one, but along with Kraken lady, the whole effort to undo the steal was made less credible by his participation.

    2. Sorry Ed Douche. A lot of people were fooled by Wood, me included. We thought he would reveal much on the stolen election. He didn’t. He let us down. Same with the Kraken lady. Shame on me. But he ended the election fiasco with zero credibility. He is now in the negatives.

    3. Edutcher, President Trump has gone through a lot of people who turned out to be less than capable. President Trump endorced Drew McKissick instead of Wood for the GOP chair in South Carolina. That should be a clear signal right there.

  2. It would NOT surprise me to learn that Sidney Powell was led down the garden-path on that issue, perhaps by Lin Wood--or perhaps by one of HRC's false-flag operators. I wouldn't put it past the FBI, either.

And we haven't had a real march on DC in decades.

    2. I believe Sidney Powell had a ton of good evidence of the cheating, but got sideswiped by all the judges who, in lockstep, claimed her plaintiffs didn't have standing. A dispute between states and SCOTUS justices ruled they didn't have standing, then hid under their desks? That judicial bullshit was ten miles over the top. Honest lawyer vs. corrupt judges from sea to shining sea. Rittenhouse was dumb lucky he drew a halfway honest judge because they are few and far between.

    3. I continue to give both Lin Wood and Sydney Powell the benefit of the doubt. They were both having to respond (almost singlehandedly) and on the fly to a deviously planned and unprecedented widespread election fraud. They were trying to prepare legal cases that were so involved it would (and has) taken months to unravel. They both showed alot of courage.
Hopefully they will both still be able to make major contributions to freedom as events continue to unfold.

  3. Lin Wood raised the $2 million bail money, which was posted by Pierce. Wood & Pierce were then thrown overboard by the parasites currently attached to Kyle's Mom.

    1. Agreed. Read his response on Telegram. Every aspect of Wood’s involvement with FightBack and the raising of the money for the Rittenhouses he has explained in great detail including what’s really going on with John Pierce. That’s the guy that needs to be exposed in the press and tarred & feathered in op-eds. I’ve read nothing from Wood that indicates anything other than his trying to recover the $2M legally so those who contributed to FightBack (among them Rick Schroeder) can have those funds returned—not a gritting scheme like so many can’t wait to believe. It was Pierce that advised the WaPo interview, not Wood. Read his extensive public statements on Telegram and then ask yourself where the coverage is on Pierce and why does the media have issues with Wood but refuse to quote him on anything but the asinine “idiot” comments.

  5. Notice how calm and measured the kid was during the interview. No "you know's" or "like" as so many of his age do when talking. This kid has the opportunity to go places if he is careful and listens to the proper guidance from people he trusts. Very impressed by him.

Humankind has survived some disastrous plagues

There's never a moment when we've been secure
From the ills that our flesh is heir to.
    If it isn't a war, it's a gruesome disease.
If it isn't disease, then there's war.
But there's worse still to come and I'm asking you, please,
How the world's gonna take anymore?

In ten years, we're gonna have one million lawyers,
One million lawyers, one million layers.
In ten years, we're gonna have one million lawyers.
How much can our poor nation stand?

  7. Conservatives need to wake up and stop giving prosecutors the benefit of the doubt.

the United States has five percent of the world’s population and more than 25 percent of its incarcerated people.
American federal prosecutors get a conviction on 98 percent of their cases, 95 percent of those without a trial, such is the hideous abuse of the plea-bargaining system.
In Canada the prosecution succeeds 61 percent of the time and in Britain a little over 50 percent. This is because cases can only be brought in those countries when approved by judges in preliminary hearings

Then they become politicians if the can't make it as a

  11. I watched the Rittenhouse interview with Tucker, and he came across as mature way beyond his 18 years. I hope he socks it to the media sleazeballs, his prosecutors and even Biden, and comes away from this with settlements that will give him a lifetime of financial security.

    2. I agree with both of you. When Kyle said he hadn't showered for 87 days while in jail and skin dripped off his body when he finally showered after getting out, that broke my heart. Of course, a teen isn't going to ask why his cell didn't have running water. He doesn't want to piss off the guards. We know how brutal guards are in FJB's America.

  14. Its so easy to kick a man when he is down. If Lin Wood did not raise the 2 million to get the kid out, where would Rittenhouse. Today he has been acquitted and everyone wants to "be" in his corner, if it means throwing people who helped him when no one would.

    1. Lin Wood did it to himself. Others were pushing people to donate to Lins fund, it would have gone to anyone who was taking it. Lin Wood kept KR in jail for fundraising.......Lin Wood told people not to vote in GA Senate elections, that was peak stupidity.......Just one of those seats would have stopped most of the Biden BS we are experiencing today.

      Delete
  15. When Lin Wood told people NOT TO VOTE in GA, the rat I suspected was in the sunlight. It has been reported Wood donated and supported Dems 100% up until the last election cycle. His antics over the voter fraud in the election turned it into a circus. Others helped, but Lin Wood needs to go away, never to be heard from again.

  18. I believe this article and these comments are not properly represented re linwood. The bail amount was $2 million. In September they had not reached the total necessary to release kyle from jail. I saw two letters from linwood to rick schroeder dated nov 19 and nov 20 where he states that the $150,000 donation from rick would close the amount to $2 million allowing kyle to be released, and that he linwood would personally guarantee the donation. In both letters he refers him to contact the defense attorney Pierce to finalize the payment in that Pierce was the one responsible for securing kyle from prison, and that with this final donation kyle could hopefully be releaed the following day.
Why does not Tucker or other news outlets contact linwood for his side of the story? WHy is no one talking about Pierce who in actuality was the only defense attorney for kyle at the time; lin wood was his defamation attorney only. Is it because linwood is openly talking about the election fraud and pedafilia, and Pierce is not?
Something very strange here, and in actuality I don't see great thanks to the donors or to linwood for setting up the foundation in order to raise the bail money in the first place. So what is the real story, how many people are on the payroll of soros or others not wanting the true facts to come out?

    1. Great points Ana.
Lin Wood was not his defense attorney. Also I understand that in that state you have to have the ENTIRE amount of the bail money before
      the person can be released.

  20. Lin Wood has lot of enemy's, especially in the news business. They hate them for making them pay for their dirty lying. People who loved his wins saving reputations and terrible treatment should not take any news writers word for running him down. Maybe they just disagreed! Conservatives don't want to join the typical Democrat circular firing squad. I am not defending him if he did wrong, but jaws flap and a lot of liars are out there related to every news jabber jaws, ignorant, empty skull. That includes most news people. If it were a "person of color", they would not have prosecuted at all. Just like they didn't prosecute the 10's of thousands of BLM rioters, going so far as to have DA make public announcements during the riots stating that they were not going to prosecute anyone.
