The Trafalgar Group released its final election poll and in the races for governor, lieutenant governor, and attorney general. She has the biggest lead -- 2.9 points over the Democrat in the lieutenant governor's race.
Youngkin leads old man McAuliffe by 2.3 points, and in the attorney general's race, Jason Miyares is up 2.5 points. A Republican sweep would send a message to DC.
ITEM 2: Ace reported, "Recently AllahPundit claimed the story that Florida now had the lowest covid rates in the country -- remember, bloggers at Hot Air 'claim' stories on a first-come, first served basis -- just so he could attack DeSantis by claiming it was hypocritical that DeSantis did not take the blame for Florida's higher August covid rates but is taking credit for their lowest-in-the-nation October rates.
"AllahPundit somehow doesn't notice that it's equally hypocritical for AllahPundit to have spent all August attacking DeSantis for higher Florida covid rates but now refuse to grant him credit for the low October rates.

I could also point to an Orlando Sentinel editorial that blasted DeSantis for the drop in covid after the same editorial board blasted him for rising covid cases two months earlier.
Many bloggers emulate editorial writing because they wish they were newspaper columnists or editorial writers.
I did both for 25-plus years. Boy are they aiming low.

Will the Democrats in Virginia come up with one of those ballot-harvesting miracle wins with a 3 a.m. truckload of absentee votes to give McAuliffe the margin of victory?

"But we cannot allow this possibility to discourage Republican voters — living, breathing, legal residents of Virginia — from actually voting. "The Virginia Institute for Public Policy filed a lawsuit arguing that the Fairfax County Office of Elections accepted applications for absentee and mail-in ballots without residents’ final four digits of their Social Security numbers. They argued that such a practice violates state law.
"The county’s elections office responded by saying that state law stipulates that such a lawsuit can only be filed by any aggrieved voter, a campaign’s party, or a candidate. The Virginia Institute for Public Policy, a conservative-leaning nonprofit organization, is none of the three, they further said.

And the West Virginia Democrat criticized House Democrats’ delay of a bipartisan infrastructure bill he helped write, declaring it 'time to vote.'

Democrats should try to get a few Republicans on board. But Democrats are as stubborn as a donkey.

"The taxpayers filed a free speech lawsuit in federal court that could set a precedent for invalidating policies that shield both school administrators and elected officials from public criticism.
"'The left is trying to take over the English language in a way that might appeal to rational people with innocent-sounding words like ‘diversity’ and ‘inclusion,’ but it’s really about trying to divide people and distort history,' Simon Campbell, a former member of the Pennsbury School Board, told the Daily Signal.

There should be some jail time for the board members and superintendent of the schools over this.

That is a good start, but to end the abuses, the offenders must be called out, named and shamed. This includes the good clerks who handle the purloined ballots. The "I was only following orders" excuse went out with the Third Reich.

ReplyDeleteMy LORD and Savior was in all likelihood not born in December when Shepherds would not be in the pastures at night with their flocks. But that's not the issue. We celebrate His birth, the gift of Salvation, Emanuel, GOD with us. It's not about gifts, what paltry thing can I give you compared to eternal life in the presence of GOD? We who love the LORD will celebrate this day with joy in our hearts and good will toward men while we pray for peace on earth.
I can make something for my grandkids rather than buy it.
The Grinch can steal the toys. He can steal the trees and even the confections. He cannot steal salvation.
On the other hand, those here without the LORD have a lot to deal with since they selected this mental midget and his blow hard side show.
Also really appreciate this one too. Our real celebration of the Christmas season this year will bring a spiritual lift and light to our troubled American politics.
DeleteActually, I remember back when we had the beginnings of an Ebola outbreak during Obama's term, was it fall of 2010?? or fall of 2012 ?? Anyway, Obama was foolishly refusing to stop persons coming in to America from the African hospots, and there were starting to be some Ebola cases in Texas and the East Coast.
That could have developed into a very bad situation, but I remember noticing at the time, that as the election approached, media attention was distracted and there was a dip in public focus on Ebola, and then the holidays arrived, and Americans became immersed in all the wonderfulness of the season. They were focused on good, on joy, on family, on parties, on unselfishly trying to figure out what would be a good gift for the individuals they cared for, etc.
The Ebola story just faded from attention, and the media was not obsessed with pushing fear incessantly on people. It did seem back then, that the underlying spiritual light and lift of the holidays played a role in greatly dimishing that Ebola situation. I'm glad the holidays are again approaching this year!
