The New York Times reported, "Judge bans MSNBC from Kenosha courthouse after report of producer following jurors."
Let's not mince words. This is the doing of Comcast, which is the ultimate owner of MSNBC. Under Comcast, MSNBC has gone from being an apologist and waterboy for Democrats to being out-and-out Maoist. Throughout the trial of Kyle Rittenhouse, MSNBC has had black supremacist Joy Reid openly root for a conviction. She has twisted this trial of a white teen who shot three white assailants into a white-on-black crime.
Comcast approves of this bizarre coverage.
The rest of the media has also played up a race angle that just isn't there. AP reported it was a nearly all-white jury! Kenosha County is 88% white, 5% black. Who did AP think would sit on the jury? The Harlem Globetrotters?
On Wednesday night, Comcast crossed the line by having a producer follow the bus that was taking jurors home. The message was clear: We know who you are and we are going to expose you if you acquit.
NYT reported, "The Kenosha Police Department said the man, whom the judge identified as James Morrison, had been released after being taken into custody and given traffic citations and that he had not taken any pictures of the jurors.
"In a statement, NBC News said the man was a freelancer and that while he had 'received a traffic citation' near the vehicle carrying the jurors, he had 'never contacted or intended to contact the jurors during deliberations.' The network said that the man had also not photographed or intended to photograph the jurors."
Morrison and Comcast's CEO should be charged with jury intimidation.
Comcast's excuse was Morrison was trying to book jurors for post-trial interviews on MSNBC. That is garbage. Jurors who want to be interviewed will make that known.
Given the awful job the national media has done in covering this trial, I believe only local TV stations and news outlets should be allowed in any future state trial in any state. Local TV stations and newspapers are far from perfect but they will be around after the trial is over and they will have to deal with the consequences.
The only way to make MSNBC pay is to have the guy at the top of the chain of command -- Comcast CEO Brian L. Roberts -- pay.
I thought it was interesting he said he was getting plates to find out who they where. Can anybody go to the courthouse and get private information from license plates or only "journalists"?
ReplyDeleteIn Texas, anybody can after paying a small fee. And the state notifies the plate owner of the request and the name of the requester.
DeleteIn Cali. you cannot get that information. Some minor singer or star got tracked down by a stalker and killed, so they passed a law (too late!) to prevent that happening again. Even Insurance agents could only get the name and no address.
DeleteYou are correct Don he is a producer for NBC and not a freelancer as the NBC statement claims. They are lying

Why does the media and blm keep trying to get 12% of the population into a race war they will lose?
ReplyDeleteHear! Hear!
DeleteThe first time I heard the term "race war" was from Charles Manson in "Helter Skelter." Figured it would come from a psycho.

DeleteThe live feed from the court was cut early this afternoon.
ReplyDeleteThey adjourned early, and the rogue juror who probably is the foreman took the jury instructions home with the judge's blessing.
DeleteI'm not an attorney, but isn't "jury intimidation' "jury tampering"? And isn't jury tampering a crime?
ReplyDeleteYep. I would love the judge to dismisses with prejudice because of the media's threats to doxx jurors.
DeleteAlso, Kyle's defense lawyers suck.
And so is pointing a gun at someone like the prosecutor did.
DeleteIt’s interesting, that I cannot post on this site using Safari, but I can with Brave and DuckDuckGo. Under the same name. Hmmmm
ReplyDelete"...top of the chain of command -- Comcast CEO Brian L. Roberts -- pay."
ReplyDeleteHe should pay upwards of 20-25% of his pay, not some hand-slap of $10,000. This will make some people pay attention.
Spot on, Don!
ReplyDeleteQuote #1: He never contacted or intended to contact the jurors.
ReplyDeleteQuote #2: (He) was trying to book jurors for post-trial interviews on MSNBC.
By not contacting or intending to contact them!!??!!
Comcast was a horrible company before they acquired NBC. They have gotten worse.
