ITEM 1: While he was keeping his state's economy from being swallowed by the pandemic panic, Ron DeSantis apparently designed a new flag for Florida.
We ought to let him have a crack at the American flag.ITEM 2: The Kanakee Daily Journal reported, "Illinois Supreme Court strikes down Cook County tax on guns."
The story said, "The taxes were challenged by the trade group Guns Save Life Inc. in a lawsuit against the county.
"The Supreme Court’s Thursday opinion, written by Justice Mary Jane Theis, stated that, 'While the taxes do not directly burden a law-abiding citizen’s right to use a firearm for self-defense, they do directly burden a law-abiding citizen’s right to acquire a firearm and the necessary ammunition for self-defense.'
"In the 14-page, 6-0 opinion, the Supreme Court reversed an appellate court ruling that would have allowed the taxes to stay in place. Chief Justice Anne Burke did not take part in the decision."
Strict gun laws have helped Chicago become the murder capital of America.
Chicago needs more guns in the hands of law-abiding citizens. The criminals are armed despite the law.
ITEM 3: The Sun reported, "Alec Baldwin accidentally shot and killed a crew member on set of his new movie, Rust, The Sun can exclusively reveal.
"The tragic death was caused by a prop gun firing off on the set for the actor's latest film which resulted in both the cinematographer and the director getting shot."
The killing of Halyna Hutchins was an avoidable tragedy. Baldwin is a big gun control freak. If he walked his talk, he would not be making movies that have guns in them.
ITEM 4: NBC reported, "Florida's new surgeon general Dr. Joseph Ladapo during a press conference Thursday questioned the efficacy of Covid-19 vaccines, denounced all mandates in workplaces and argued people would face more health repercussions by losing their jobs because they refused to comply with requirements."
Well, if vaccinated people are getting covid, maybe the efficacy of the vaccines is overstated.
ITEM 5: Axios reported, "Sens. Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.) and Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) squabbled behind closed doors Wednesday, with Manchin using a raised-fist goose egg to tell his colleague he can live without any of President Biden's social spending plan, Axios has learned."
Let's see, a senator from a Trump state shows he's tough against a socialist while a senator from a tree-hugging state shows he's tough against a coal state senator.
Welcome to Ring of Honor politics, folks.
ITEM 6: DCist reported, "This Is What Climate Change Will Look Like In D.C."
Manchin's houseboat does not look so dumb now, does it?
ITEM 7: National Review reported, "A top NIH official admitted in a Wednesday letter that U.S. taxpayers funded gain-of-function research on bat coronaviruses in Wuhan and revealed that EcoHealth Alliance, the U.S. non-profit that funneled NIH money to the Wuhan Institute of Virology, was not transparent about the work it was doing.
"In the letter to Representative James Comer (R., Ky.), Lawrence A. Tabak of the NIH cites a limited experiment that was conducted to test if 'spike proteins from naturally occurring bat coronaviruses circulating in China were capable of binding to the human ACE2 receptor in a mouse model.' The laboratory mice infected with the modified bat virus 'became sicker' than those infected with the unmodified bat virus.
"The revelation vindicates Republican senator Rand Paul, who got into heated exchanges with National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Disease director Anthony Fauci during his May and July testimonials before Congress over the gain-of-function question. At the second hearing, Paul accused Fauci of misleading Congress by denying that the U.S. had funded gain-of-function projects at the Wuhan Institute of Virology.
"Gain-of-function research involves extracting viruses from animals and artificially engineering them in a laboratory to make them more transmissible or deadly to humans."
Where is our Roy Cohn to prosecute Fauci and the rest of the traitors?
They enabled Red China to use U.S. money to build a biological weapon to use on us.
Global warming cannot come quick enough to D.C.
ITEM 8: Business Insider reported, "Influential Democratic donors who backed Pete Buttigieg in 2020 are privately chattering about prodding him to run for the White House in 2024 if President Joe Biden doesn't seek reelection, Insider has learned.
"More than two dozen Democratic donors who want to eventually see the 39-year-old transportation secretary in the White House have been attending secret and informal dinners over the summer and into late September in traditional Democratic money-raising hubs including Washington, Wall Street, and Silicon Valley, a former Buttigieg bundler who is familiar with the meetings said.
"They're driven in part by a lack of confidence in Vice President Kamala Harris' performance so far, and some don't think Buttigieg should wait in line behind Harris if Biden opts against running for a second term. Other dinner attendees think Buttigieg is better off waiting until 2028 or even later."
Forget 2024 or 2028. He's on paternity leave until the twins turn 18.
QUESTION OF THE DAY: Is there anyone in politics besides Michelle Obama who likes Kamala?
ITEM 9: Hot Air reported, "The caption on an AP photo from the Netflix walkout is completely false (and now retracted)."
Once again the leftist media smears someone who disagrees with the Official Party Line. No one is fired. The scalps pile up, while the credibility falls down. They don't care.
ITEM 10: UPI reported, "The Food and Drug Administration on Wednesday authorized boosters of the Moderna and Johnson & Johnson covid-19 vaccines and gave its approval for people to 'mix and match' booster shots.
"The agency granted emergency use authorization for the booster doses, but the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention must also give its approval before additional shots get in arms. The CDC is scheduled to meet Thursday to examine data and requests related to the available coronavirus vaccines."
Really?
You can just mix and match drugs made by different manufacturers who don't share proprietary secrets?
The FDA is no longer based on science. It is a pay-to-play service. Maybe it never was about science.
I wonder how many FDA relatives and retirees work for Big Pharma.
ITEM 11: The New York Post ran an editorial, "Democrats aim to make anyone who disagrees with them an enemy of the state."
The New York Post is now an enemy of the state, comrade.
Bear this in mind. The next Republican president must declare protests insurrections, lock up protesters indefinitely in solitary confinement, and must use the CIA and the rest to spy on political opponents.
We have to not only treat them like they treat us, but ramp it up a notch because we cannot let them get away with this.
We cannot.
RICO the Democrat Party.
ITEM 12: Instead of blowing money on a social media network, President Trump should hire private investigators and dig up the dirt on the deep state.
We must know the names of everyone's mistresses, the names of their drug dealers, and the passwords to their overseas bank accounts.
ITEM 13: News Busters reported, "DC Comics Employee Unloads on Company For ‘Ruining’ Superman."
He's now bi. He's an illegal alien. And he no longer fights for the American way.
It's like they bonked him on the head with Rainbow Kryptonite.
ITEM 14: Zero Hedge reported, "China Blocks All Boston Celtics Games After Enes Kanter Demands 'Dictator' Xi 'Free Tibet.'"
The story said, "Enes, who was born in Switzerland and raised partly in Turkey (by parents of Turkish origin), added in a second tweet that more than 150 Tibetans have set themselves on fire to raise awareness about the dire situation in Tibet."
Kyrie Irving. Enes Kanter. The NBA is finally getting some men to play.
ITEM 15: KCAL reported, "With the ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach now running 24/7 operations, a new problem has occurred. Many of the shipping containers that spent weeks onboard ships waiting to be unloaded are now being dumped in nearby neighborhoods once they’re emptied.
"Sonia Cervantes lives along Anaheim Street, where UCTI Trucking Company is located.
"The company’s lot only has a capacity for 65 containers so the additional containers now line up along Anaheim Street in front of some people’s homes."
Cervantes said, "I would have to go in at 6:30 a.m. to go to work. There was a trailer already blocking my driveway so I couldn’t get out. With no driver in the trailer, so we would honk and honk, and it was just crazy."
Shouldn't the police stop this?
Crazy.
ITEM 16: We Love Trump reported, "Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk said the quiet part out loud during a recent interview.
"She boldly stated quarantine facilities were needed going into 2022.
"Which Australians will be housed into these quarantine camps?
"The unvaccinated."
Unvaccinated people don't spread the virus. Even if they did, it would not harm the vaccinated.
ITEM 17: Bloomberg reported, "President Joe Biden said he doesn’t think there are enough Democratic votes to raise tax rates in a deal on his economic agenda, but that he believes he’ll reach an agreement on the overall legislative package."
Democrats will pass something, celebrate, and get head pats from their donor-owners.
The multi-trillion-dollar spending spree will guarantee plenty of hookers and blow for all the sons and grandsons of the Democrat politicians.
Every Democrat family is the Kennedy family now.
ITEM 18: The Daily Caller reported, "GOP lawmakers representing Maryland’s three counties bordering West Virginia sent a letter Thursday to the neighboring state’s General Assembly speaker and Senate president, requesting admission into West Virginia.
"Garret, Allegany and Washington county representatives asked in the two identically worded letters addressed to the West Virginia lawmakers to 'consider adding us as constituent counties to the State of West Virginia.'"
Bigger is not always better.
ITEM 19: Look for Liz's donors to close their wallets.
Dead political career walking.News: Jeff Miller, a lobbyist + close @GOPLeader friend, is warning GOP consultants - you can’t work for Liz *and* Kevin
— Jonathan Martin (@jmartNYT) October 21, 2021

FINALLY, Merrick Garland appeared before a congressional committee. Republicans got some zingers in.
Fine.
But nothing will come of this. It is Benghazi 2.0 but without a dead diplomat.
Garland is attorney general because Republican senators failed Donald Trump by not having his back. This led to the Mueller circus. This undermined his presidency.
I want good governance, not zingers.
“Bigger is not always better.”
ReplyDeleteI need a column from you on this, Big D. An explanation. Oakland MD is DubVee in EVERYTHING but name. Been there multiple times - on BUSINESS, no less! We get Wisp and Deep Creek Lake too. Most importantly, we send a message that now that The Free State is no longer free, you’ve still got a friend in Friendsville. Friendsville WEST VIRGINIA, where a Trump Road Rally with over 300 vehicles happened right around this time last year. We were in the middle of it, driving back from OH, and it was the happiest I’ve been in a long time. And then the fooking bastards stole it.
Agree! And Deep Creek area is beautiful!!!
DeleteIf this would happen to Eastern Oregon
Deletewe'd be free of the wokesters on the west side.
Greater Idaho!!!!
I wonder how many FDA relatives and retirees work for Big Pharma.
ReplyDeleteWho do they really work for?
Nearly 340 former congressional staffers now work for pharmaceutical companies or their lobbying firms, according to a congressional research company. More than a dozen former drug industry employees now have jobs on Capitol Hill—often on committees that handle health care policy.
13: How long before the DC Comics have the new woke Man of Steel battling super villain Trump?
ReplyDeleteFinally: Twenty RINO's voted to confirm Garland. We have met the enemy and they are us.
No, but they are among us and they've misled us. Now it's up to voters to decide whether we replace these turncoats or capitulate.
DeleteMy advice for now is primary everyone. If an incumbent wins, and you are not comfortable with them, do not sit out the general election. Instead write in a candidate who is a conservative.
Good recollection on the Garland confirmation, Bucky. The reason Garland is the AG is because dumbass Turtlehead and his peons like Capito voted for him.
DeleteKyrie Irving. Enes Kanter. The NBA is finally getting some men to play.
ReplyDeleteWe now have a sports journalist with integrity, Jason Whitlock.

ReplyDeleteSounds like Putin is a Republican. Nah, he’s just not insane.
Delete#3. His next movie should be jail house blues, Bubba loves you, and be taken from security camera footage of his prison cell.
ReplyDeleteThey enabled Red China to use U.S. money to build a biological weapon to use on us.
ReplyDeleteSundance says it was the CIA:
"The US Deep State release of COVID-19 would have two transparent motives for the 4th Branch: (1) Get rid of Trump and (2) Expand their influence and control operations as the most powerful force in U.S. government.
One of the central players is former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, who has been blaming the Chinese almost exclusively. [Methinks he doth protest too much.]"
per Sundance virus was prepared in US Research Lab facilities but laundered via China to cover up and shift blame.
DeleteChina is also pissed at USA for this blame shifting
Mike Pompeo admitted to an audience that the CIA trains employees to “lie, cheat and steal.” While he seemed to find the whole thing funny, not everyone is amused,
DeleteSundance might be right but I think it's more of a global conspiracy. Look at the involvement of the World Economic Forum with the Great Reset movement.
DeleteQuestion of the day - Willie Brown???
ReplyDeleteOnly partly!
DeleteAll democrats who think they should be president in 2024 love the ho. Her incompetence and off-putting personality make them very happy.
DeleteButthead isn't any better, the bench has no depth. Who then AOC? Jill? (actually she's got desire and ruthlessness .) If you are a cisgendered, white male in the dem party you are toast...
DeleteWhen I see or hear Kamala I feel like I should get decontaminated... or a penicillin shot.
That ship sailed long ago, Johnny
DeleteI say Willie Brown laid the black on the Brown Hoester, changing the perceived color of said Brown Hoester to Blackness, putting the said Brown Hoester eligible to give "High Fives" to all the Willie Brown following...high fives=BJ's. What a hateable person!!! Don, hit that button!!!
DeleteAmen on your final comment. I am so sick of our sorry GOP ( with a few exceptions) that I’m now unaffiliated. While I can’t imagine ever voting for a Democrat, my vote for a Republican is no longer a given.
ReplyDeleteCan understand why you do that, but depending on the state, doesn't that prevent you from helping Primary a RINO with a conservative?
DeleteMy father lived in MD his whole life. Was as conservative as anyone but remained a registered democrat because in his district, the R had no chance. He felt he could help sway the most conservative (oxymoronic anymore?) democrat wins the primary and thus the general.
PS - I didn't agree with him. Felt remaining a democrat told the Annapolis democrats that he approved of what they are doing by not switching parties. R.I.P. LD!
A vote for no one is a vote for the dims.
DeleteTrue, Buzz, but my vote for Tillis was wasted too. And Trump’s Owner, I will switch back in time for the primary but just want the GOP to be on notice that I’m not buying their RINOS anymore.
DeleteQOTD, Brown's willie?
ReplyDelete3 - he shot two people. Neither would have been in the movie. They were behind the scenes. Was he playing around aiming the gun at them? And when the first person was shot, shy did he continue and shoot the second person? Sounds totally reckless. Sounds like a Perry Mason episode where real bullets were substituted for blanks. I was taught to NEVER point a gun at anything you were not prepared to shoot, even if the gun was unloaded (or you thought it was unloaded). True statement Don, gun haters should not handle guns.
ReplyDeleteINVOLUNTARY MANSLAUGHTER -
DeleteThe defendant committed an act that resulted in the death of a person.
The defendant knew that his conduct might endanger lives.
The act was inherently dangerous or was done with a total lack of concern for human life.
(Hutchins may have been an extra, linked article shows her in costume.)
I wonder if the medics refused to treat her until they checked her vaccination status.
Delete#16. But it does harm the quackcinated.
ReplyDeleteA few more flare ups and they will be demanding people get chipped to weed out the fake passports.
Then another round of incidents and the sheeple will be hunting the not woke crowd, me, with pitchforks and clubs. They fear guns don'tcha know.
There is no such thing as "good governance". All politicians crave control. The difference between Republicans and Democrats is the same as between Coke and Pepsi. This is why we are approaching 30 trillion in debt and have become a police state. And we are now talking about taking a "booster" for a "vaccine" that obviously doesn't do what it was supposed to do, other than enrich a pharmaceutical industry that just a couple years ago was vilified for unleashing the Opioid Epidemic.
ReplyDelete8 - the democrats are pushing another unskilled incompetent who checks off the proper boxes. Buttigeg should wait until the twelfth of never to run.
ReplyDeleteBesides, I thought the amazing Governor of Georgia, the incredibly qualified Stacy Abrams was next in line.
14 - Kanter also harshly criticized Edrogen and hasn’t been able to return to Turkey for at least four years.
If good ol' Stacy Abrams gets the nod, I hope the White House still has William Howard Taft's bathtub for her to use.
DeleteItem 3: “Alec Baldwin accidentally shot and killed a crew member on set of his new movie” This story makes no sense. Most professional “prop guns” either have the barrel blocked (if they’re not to be fired) or are loaded with blanks (enhanced to show a flash from the barrel). A blank can kill someone if it’s shot into soft skin at point-blank range, but actors know this. There’s always a safety supervisor on set when any kind of ammo, including blanks, is used. Even community theaters have another actor double-check a “prop gun” to make sure it’s empty right before the “shooter” walks on stage.
ReplyDeleteItem 6: “This Is What Climate Change Will Look Like In D.C.” Wait! Is that a stranded polar bear I see on the south lawn? LOL
Item 7: “U.S. taxpayers funded gain-of-function research on bat coronaviruses in Wuhan” Step 1: Fire Fauci. Step 2: Prosecute him.
Item 8: “Democratic donors who backed Pete Buttigieg in 2020 are privately chattering about prodding him to run for the White House in 2024… They're driven in part by a lack of confidence in Vice President Kamala Harris' performance“ But FJB and the Hoe were the best the Dems had to offer in 2020. Everyone else pales in comparison, as shown by their decisive sweep of the Dem primaries. Now they want “The Butt” to step in and save the party?
Item 10: “[The FDA] gave its approval for people to 'mix and match' booster shots.” Great! I’ll just call my next flu shot a Covid “booster shot.” It pairs well with my tetanus shot.
Item 16: “Which Australians will be housed into these quarantine camps? The unvaccinated.” The Aussie “quarantine camps” will be built near rail lines to make it easy for the boxcars to unload.
Item 18: “Maryland’s three counties bordering West Virginia sent a letter Thursday … requesting admission into West Virginia.” Now if we can just get deep blue Palm Beach, Broward, and Dade counties in south Florida to join Puerto Rico…
#7 you forgot to add 3. Hang'em high..
DeleteITEM 4: “A vaccine is a biological preparation that provides active acquired immunity to a particular infectious disease.”
ReplyDeleteIf vaccinated people are getting covid, then they didn’t get a vaccine; they got a shot – but of what?

8: BI is fanatically anti-Trump, so it figures they love Buttpeg.
QUESTION OF THE DAY: One's a slut and one's a guy.
10: Maybe?
11: Been saying this from the start.
Democrats aim to make anyone who disagrees with them an enemy of the state.
As I said elsewhere, so did George III.
12: Better. Start the social media and let all those guys in PJs do the work for free.
15: Now all the neighborhood kids can play Fort Apache.
16: So will yellow stars be provided or will they be charged to the inmates' account?
18: Good news could be, if the counties are admitted, WV can change its name to the original one.
Vandalia. State abbrev could be VD.

Love it!

ReplyDeleteI think those French guys would object to it's cultural appropriation, oui ?
And the yellow background is reminiscent of French Camembert cheese. Hmmm…

ReplyDeleteGiven Alec Baldwin's character, many things could explain the shooting death on the film set. It might have even been an accident.
ReplyDelete#15 -- Make up your mind. Either you want the supply chain problems solved, or you want the transfer companies to have nowhere to store the empty containers until the space issue is relieved. You can't have both.
ReplyDeleteBut certainly they should not be blocking driveways with them.

ReplyDeleteMeanwhile, Sweden and other countries have banned Moderna and other so called vaccines from use due to side effects esp. Death.
ReplyDeleteAnd also despite usage by other countries of ivermectin to prevent covid infection worsening the US refuses to allow it's use in most places and the FDA does nothing about it. But it's seems able to approve a booster with little or no extra information about safety or efficacy. But Ivermectin isn't approved and pharmacies are getting away with denying patients to fill out legal prescriptions by registered MDs.
We are insane and we're displaying it to the world. I don't think this is what China had in mind but its okay with them how things are going.
They and Russia will soon be the go to countries to lead the world on strategic topics that concern everyone. The US has been shown to be unreliable and irrational. Unable to be consistent in anything because of factionalism and egotistic party leaders.
