They wanted a coup all along

I am not surprised by the news that the head of the Pentagon, Generalissimo "White Rage" Milley conspired with Red China and fellow officers to block President Donald John Trump. Appalled, yes. Disgusted, yes. Hoping for a sentence of 20 years of hard labor, yes. But surprised? Nope because this is what Washington wanted all along.

The American press called for a military coup months before President Trump was elected!

During the Republican National Convention, the Los Angeles Times reported, "Americans viewing the recent failed coup attempt in Turkey as some exotic foreign news story -- the latest, violent yet hardly unusual political development to occur in a region constantly beset by turmoil -- should pause to consider that the prospect of similar instability would not be unfathomable in this country if Donald Trump were to win the presidency.

"Trump is the most brazenly authoritarian figure to secure the nomination of a major American political party. He expresses his support for all manner of strongmen, and his campaign manager, Paul Manafort, has actually worked for one: former Ukrainian president and Vladimir Putin ally Viktor Yanukovich. At the Republican National Convention here Monday, Manafort put some of the tricks he learned overseas as a dictator whisperer to good use, employing underhanded tactics to avoid a roll call vote on the convention’s rules package and quietly removing language from the party platform expressing support for Ukraine’s democratic aspirations."

In actuality, President Trump is the opposite of an authoritarian.

He did not use the FBI to spy on political opponents.

Obama did.

President Trump did not jail protesters for months on end.

Biden did.

The LA Times column ended, "Trump is not only patently unfit to be president, but a danger to America and the world. Voters must stop him before the military has to."

Has to.

Washington views the election of Trump as president as a coup. Isolated from America for decades, the denizens of DC view America as a deplorable place that continues systemic racism.

Heavy-medaled clowns like Milley fit in perfectly. He took over a military operation that had defeated the Taliban, and helped Biden give the country back to the Truly Deplorable mob.

Milley's refusal to carry out the commander-in-chief's orders was mutiny. President Trump's failure to fire and file charges against Milley was a big mistake.

But the Washington Post reported Milley's sedition as if it were an act of heroism. Its headline was, "Top general was so fearful Trump might spark war that he made secret calls to his Chinese counterpart, new book says."

Bob Woodward saw Milley's mutiny as proof of Washington's imaginary unfitness of Donald Trump.

We do not have two Americas.

We have one America.

And it is governed by horrible, seditious, and treasonous people.

Meanwhile, the spin begins:

  3. Prediction: If Trump runs and wins in 2024 before he is sworn in Thoroughly Modern Milley will lead a military coup to prevent it. The usual suspects in the media will applaud that action, which will be the end of the republic.

  4. Hmm, Don, you believe anything Bob Woodward says? The man's been lying about things in books for years.

But whether BW says it and whether it's true or not, this is exactly the Pravda the Bidet Administration needs right now to throw Milley under the bus for the Afghanistan debacle and take the heat for that off of Bidet.

I have no love for Milley, but it is so convenient this comes out right now that it smells like BS to me, fresh from the bull and baked into a left-wing Pravda pie that might -- might! -- mollify the right.

If I'm wrong I'm wrong, and I may well be. But I don't trust Bob Woodward as far as I can throw him.

    3. Woodward has never been anythiong more than a glorified stenographer. He became famous for taking dictation from Mark Felt, aka "Deepthroat." Felt had an axe to grind with Tricky Dick Nixon, and he used Woodward and Bernstein to grind it.

I wouldn't trust Woodward as far as I could throw Stacy Abrams. The question in my mind is whose axe is he grinding now?

    4. I would not trust Woodward either but there's some truth in there somewhere because nobody's saying anything they'll need to hang Schumer Pelosi Miley and any general who knew about this

  6. Am very tempted right now to gaslight the Gaslighters by not gaslighting. I.e., Y’all are expecting me to exhort ALL of Big D’s TRUE friends to show up down in The Cesspool Saturday and if we take any guff from those swine, to burn the fothermucker down. Actually, I have a golf tournament that day. Honest Injun. (Apologies to Sir Doug.)

  9. Glenn Greenwald @ggreenwald

Watching liberal media stars spend 5 years trying to thread the needle between "we are so grateful to the unelected but noble Generals thwarting Trump" and "only insane conspiracy nuts believe the US has a Deep State" has been quite dizzying.

    Quote Tweet
    Tom Elliott @tomselliott
.@JoeNBC attacks Republicans criticizing Gen. Milley for usurping Trump: “Are you so stupid, I just got to ask, are you so stupid, are you so ignorant of how things work that you don’t know that from time to time generals talk to generals?"

    Glenn Greenwald @ggreenwald

The other bizarre aspect of the last 5 years was watching these same liberal media figures prance around as defenders of "norms" and "democratic values" while simultaneously swooning over every unelected military/intel official who purposely impeded or sabotaged Trump's policies.

In US Government jargon, "democratic leaders" has always meant: "leaders who do what we want regardless of how they came to power" (hence, pro-US dictators are "democrats" while anti-US elected leaders are "dictators").

That's the same definition liberal media figures have.

It was widely reported in major outlets like WSJ that CIA, on its own, was concealing classified information they didn't want Trump to have. They sometimes just ignored his orders in Syria. This was *cheered.*

If that's not a "Deep State," nothing is.

Spies Keep Intelligence From Donald Trump on Leak Concerns
U.S. intelligence officials have withheld sensitive intelligence from President Donald Trump because they are concerned it could be leaked or compromised, according to current and former officials...wsj.com

Imagine if, in 2011, a right-wing General called Gaddafi and said: "Obama wants to bomb your country and usher in regime change against you even though the House voted *against* its authorization. I give you my word I'll let you know what he's planning & stop him from bombing."

Liberals are happy to be governed by CIA because CIA was where Russiagate came from and they see CIA (correctly) as their political ally. They'll never admit it explicitly -- nobody on the center-left wants to say they see CIA as the Good Guys -- but this is their worldview.

Since China is not an enemy because a Constitutional declaration of war has never been declared them an enemy, he at worse would have committed sedition and breaking the chain of command under UCMJ Article 94, section (a), subsection (2).

  13. I have said repeatedly, especially after Trump was poisoned with Covid!9 that had the Democrats, Deep State, Media, China etc. been unsuccessful in their coup to stop Trump, then they would have assassinated him. Consider the fate of the POTUS that were murdered. They were not going to allow him to continue under any circumstances. I'm pleased that he was able to avoid their end.

  19. Trump was sued for almost every executive action on political grounds not the rule of law. He waited out the courts and was almost always vindicated sometimes by the SCOTUS. Ne spoke brashly but always listened to his advisers. His actions had positive net outcomes for every citizen of the United States both in foreign and domestic policy. He was well hated especially for his course bravado speech but he performed more commendable service for his county fighting intense opposition every single day of his office. And when it came to his enemies he always fought on the side of the people of the United States of America. Biden is the antithesis of President Trump and every action so far is an attack on our freedoms and liberties and our honor among all nations.

  20. maybe there is some truth to the statement" we caught them all of them" and also some truth to the theory of the plan to out all the traitors. it sure looks like the rot goes deeper than we thought. once again we are forced to ask our selves are there any honest people that work for the government., any body with morals, any body with a conscience? at this point all the activities to oust DJT from the presidency can be considered treason amd those that did it must be tried convicted and punished
