It is Trump's party. Get over it

Never Trump Congressman Anthony Gonzalez of Ohio announced he won't seek a third term because of Donald Trump. Gonzalez won't be missed, He voted to impeach Trump.

I do not get the congressman's problem. Water is wet, the media is biased, and Trump is the leader of the Republican Party.

It is no contest.

McLaughlin and Associates polled Republicans nationally and asked if Trump won the nomination in 2024, would you vote for him in the general election?

86% of Republicans said they would.

There are your Republican values and principles. Donald Trump proved his worthiness as a Republican, as a conservative, and as an American in his 4 years as president. He has nothing to be ashamed of.

Gonzalez, well, that's a different story.

Instead of fighting Donald Trump year after year after year, Republicans in Washington should embrace him because Americans do.

McLaughlin found 56% prefer Trump's style over Biden's. Only 40% prefer Biden's style.

The issues are there for Republicans. Biden has botched and politicized our efforts to contain covid. Biden's spend-it-all mentality is stoking inflation. And Biden's surrender of Afghanistan is unacceptable.

Never let a crisis go to waste. There's 3 of them. It is time for goons like Gonzalez to go home and let real conservatives run the party again.

The Republicans are Trump's party because he -- at great personal sacrifice -- did in 4 years what the RINOs promised to do for 40 years.

I mean, how hard is it to move an embassy to Jerusalem? You buy some land, build an embassy, and move in.

The future of our country is either a slow slide to socialism or a restoration of our constitutional republic. Only one man can lead the restoration

Bruce Abramson laid it out in a column in Real Clear Politics.

He wrote, "Trump turned counterrevolutionary restorationism into a true force on the right, in uneasy partnership with prudent conservatism. Many heavyweights who resented the transition chose to lay low, hoping to ride it out. Others—Mitt Romney, Liz Cheney, and the Never Trumpers—preferred to lean woke while waggling a schoolmarmish finger in all directions.

"Will the restorationism that Trump pioneered become a lasting political force? Or will it remain tied to his unique personality and disappear when he leaves the scene? The answer will define the future of the GOP—and the future of America.

"Many of today’s rising conservative stars promise to build a far bolder GOP.  Ted Cruz, Ron DeSantis, Rand Paul, and Jim Jordan may be less extreme personalities than Donald Trump, but they share his willingness to reject corrupt authority, challenge prevailing narratives, and promote strategic noncompliance.

"If Trump can forge this younger generation into a sustainable restorationist movement, he will emerge as one of the most consequential figures in American history. If not, he will be remembered as a controversial speedbump on America’s glidepath into wokeness."

To tell the truth, I prefer someone younger.

But I need someone I can trust and right now, Trump is the only one who meets the criteria.

So let Gonzalez take his ball and go home. It's a soccer ball. We're playing football.

UPDATE: Via Pro Trump News, the president said, "RINO Congressman Anthony Gonzalez, who has poorly represented his district in the Great State of Ohio, has decided to quit after enduring a tremendous loss of popularity, of which he had little, since his ill-informed and otherwise very stupid impeachment vote against the sitting President of the United States, me. This is no loss for Ohio or our Country and, most importantly, we have a great candidate who was substantially leading Gonzalez in the polls, Max Miller, who I have given my Complete and Total Endorsement. Max is a tremendous person who will represent Ohio well. Good riddance to Anthony, he can now get himself a job at ratings-dead CNN or MSDNC!"

      Answer: No
You bring your man down in rugby by arm-tackling. In football, you are taught to drive your head and shoulders through your opponent. Arm-tackling is for sissies.

  3. What I'd like to know is what percentage of Dems will vote for Trump if he were to run in 2024.

  4. You stopped at three issues. If those didn’t matter to Gonzales and the other anti-Trumpers, Others such as immigration and energy independence should. Since none of them did, he and his deflated ball will not be missed.

  5. Personally, I'd just love to see a bunch of mean tweets right now over the bull end-product coming out of the current maladministration.

"Republicans" who can't get on board with that need to stay away from ballot boxes.

  6. Your point about Trump's age is well-taken. I don't think he'll run in '24 because he knows it's a younger man's job.

He's started talking reinstatement and I think he figures it's the way to go for him.

    I certainly think so.

Not a lot of Undecideds, I notice. I'll bet that like for the lying dogfaced pony soldier's "style" (punk bully) is inflated at Trump's expense.

  7. Yes, the Republican party is now Trump's party.
Trump was planted by the Democrats to destroy the Republican party, and it has worked beautifully.
The Republican party is now destroyed.

  10. This column is dead on. Mike Pence, take note! I too, wish there were someone younger, but you take what you can get. Trump ran the country k\like he runs a business, which is something this country has needed for a long, long time. Either you produce or you're gone. The elites don't get is because they never were in business or calcified in Washington. Trump was cutting off their grift, and that's why they wanted him gone.If he comes back, you are going to mass resignations and retirements, and it won't be pretty .

  11. Amen-- absolutely it is Trump's party. He was born to be President, and his life has been a perfectly designed training that prepared him for this difficult job.

Yes, Trump is older. And yes, DeSantis is gaining valuable experience and could develop into Presidential material before long. But DeSantis is NOT there yet. I especially worry about DeSantis's lack of experience in finance. We may very well face a horrible financial meltdown if the US dollar were to stop being the world's reserve currency-- there is a real risk of this. ONLY Trump has the financial background to understand such a meltdown and steer us clearly through it, and not get fooled or railroaded into turning such a crisis into another avenue by which Marxism extends its grip on the US. DeSantis would be vulnerable to being fooled and railroaded cuz this is not his area of expertise.

Also if Trump gets back in office, it will be "no more Mr. Nice Guy" (and he never was a 'nice guy' to begin with). But we haven't seen anything yet. With all that has been revealed in recent years, if Trump gets back into office he will truly be a Destroyer on Fire and take a machete to every foul aspect of the Marxist Coup party and Deep State that has been revealed. It will be truly awesome to see.

AND-- to the RNC, I say NOT ONE PENNY in donations from me again until California RINO Kevin McCarthy is replaced as House Republican Leader by Jim Jordan. I read somewhere last week that McCarthy was raising money to help re-elect the Republican congressmen that voted to impeach Trump (the 2nd time).
I am ONLY donating directly to Trump and Trump-endorsed candidates. (PS be careful when you're responding to those RNC fundraising emails that APPEAR to be partnering with Trump or some candidate. Often when you read the fine print on the donation page it reveals that 90% is going to the general RNC while only 10% is going to the actual candidate.)

  12. Trump had his flaws. Biggest one was in hiring GOPe. I understand why he did so at first, but it was a huge mistake. One he kept doing throughout his term. His one loyalist, Flynn, was sacrificed early. That turned out to be a complete sh*t show.

He also had to deal smarter with the GOPe in congress. Mitch and Trump had to deal with each other, but it ended up Mitch did whatever Mitch thought was important. That is not acceptable.

Trump also failed to clean house. Comey should have been fired day one (that would not have solved the corruption in the FBI, but I would have been a good start). Every position that could be filed by someone by Trump should have been. Trump had a mandate then and could have put a far stronger candidate in charge of the FBI at that point.

    1. By 2024 Trump will have 8+ years of observing candidates for the cabinet and other critical positions. He won't make the same mistake twice. There will be no wrays or barrs and people like that will be axed quickly. The doj crafting the persecution of January 6ers need to be brought to justice along with the judges involved.

    2. Agree; there were alot of personnel mistakes, and also agree he will not make them again. No one realized how deep the rot went. It would also be great to take a hatchet to huge swaths of the federal bureaucracy. That problem has been building for decades; you could feel in your gut it wasn't going to end well with the federal bureaucracy ranks so overwhelmingly dominated by one party (Dems).

  17. The political nobility really weren't thinking straight. If they wanted to erase Trump forever they shouldn't have nominated a complete and utter corrupt stupid turd whose every action makes Trump look better every day. We deplorables couldn't have picked a better foil.

  18. Here's a big difference between Trump and others, like DeSantis: Trump is wealthy and couldn't be bought. Conservatives are up against the entire DC cartel. They literally own the money supply, which means they can offer huge bribes to those they perceive as a threat to their taxpayer-looting scam. Trump could (and did?) resist that. Can the others? How it's done. 1) Accept the bribe, 2) Betray the country. 3) Retire to be with your family. 4) Bounce along and wait to see what else pops up.

  19. "To tell the truth, I prefer someone younger."

You're totally wrong. I like DeSantis, Cruz, Rand Paul, and Jim Jordan. But none of them are the equal of President Trump, no matter how old he is. None of them could get done what he did, against more opposition than any other President has had to face. The repub establishment supported Hillary in 2016 and Biden in 2020. They should be purged from the repub party. What we're currently seeing with Ron DeSantis is the establishment trying to co-opt him with a ton of cash. And that's because he's the only one of those four, you mention who might be able to win, with Trump's endorsement. And if it were a free and fair election. None of the others would stand a chance. Of course the establishment would love one of their candidates, like Haley or Cotton. My preference would be President Trump with Ron DeSantis as V.P. That should be the best of both worlds for you.

    1. Agree--"none of them are the equal of President Trump". Larry Elder might be a good VP candidate with Trump. He has long-time seasoning, wide breadth of policy understanding, is a great communicator, and would blast the "racist Republican" smear that the Democrats rely on so desperately out of the water. Maybe an unbeatable combination. We really need strong communicators to persuasively make the case.

  20. IF and a BIG IF he is put in office after the audits PROVE how big the FRAUD was then good. If not that then when the R's take the House in 22 he is elected SPEAKER of the HOUSE and reduces the National Debt by having a PPV of him wrestling the gavel from those boney, evil fingers of Nanzhee! Then he will be in place to assist PRESIDENT DeSANTIS move his agenda that will seem like PRESIDENT TRUMP is running things! One thing that needs to change is TRUSTING any "insiders" and cleaning house all through Government! First day - eliminate the Ed. Dept, Interior, Commerce, and Energy! All those can be done elsewhere! Also revoke Kennedy's EO to allow Gov't unions! They are going to vote against all R's anyway so taking their power away won't make any difference politically! THEN get to work on the Military and purge all the communists and feminists! That would be a lot to accomplish, but it would be a good FIRST WEEK in office!
