Highlights of the News

Via Mack Cogburn, kids in MAGA and Trump caps pose with Biden on 9/11.

It was worth the risk of being sniffed.

ITEM 1: The Trafalgar Group reported that 58.6% of Americans oppose the vaccine mandate, while 29.7% support it.

I disagree.

100% of Americans oppose the mandate.

Those other people just don't get what America is all about.

Requiring shots for kids is one thing. But I am a grown-ass man. Unless you are my wife, you don't tell me what to do.

ITEM 2: Quit calling them elite. The Navy SEALs are elite. The Marines are elite. Tom Brady and Jim Brown are elite. The people in Washington are elitists.

The only thing they are good at is pocketing bribes and staying bought.

ITEM 3: The Catholic News Agency reported, "There have been at least 95 reported incidents of vandalism of Catholic churches across the United States since May 2020, according to a report by the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops’ Committee for Religious Liberty.

"Incidents include arson, the destruction of statues, and the defacement of church buildings and gravestones with swastikas and anti-Catholic language."

Where is the outrage?

Where are the anti-hate crime SJWs?

I'll tell you where they are. Lighting matches.

ITEM 4: Jacksonville State won an upset victory on a last-second play. A walk-off TD pass.

Dudes, you always need a backup plan.

ITEM 5: The New York Post reported, "Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez — who is the face of the Democratic Socialists of America — showed up to the glitzy Met Gala wearing a political message seemingly aimed at her fellow partygoers.

"Ocasio-Cortez wore a white gown by Brother Vellies with Tax the Rich in red letters splashed across her back and accessorized with a matching slogan on her bag.

"The 31-year-old rep who is the darling of the far left could have found a more receptive audience to her sartorial statement at a workers rally. The Met Gala is an exclusive event, which is a parade of millionaire pop stars, wealthy actors, trust fund society swans and members of the glitterati."

The party was $35,000 a ticket.

Oh, and she was maskless.

It is all political theater with her. Always.

ITEM 6: CNBC reported, "Top earning New Yorkers could face 61.2% combined tax rate under House plan, Californians may face 59% rate."

Nobody will pay that.

The rich have tax lawyers and accountants.

Best of all, they have congressmen in their pockets.

Have Congress close the loopholes? Who do you think put the loopholes in there?

ITEM 7: Just the News reported, "The sponsors of the roughly 20-year-old Dodd-Frank Wall Street reform law on Monday urged President Biden to reappoint Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell, amid opposition from progressives about giving Powell a second term."

No.

Dump him before he becomes the Fauci of Finance.

By the way, Chris Dodd and Barney Franks were crooks.

ITEM 8: The Epoch Times reported, "U.S. gasoline prices have risen to their highest level in seven years even as demand fell for a fourth straight week, with supply disruptions from Hurricane Ida putting upward pressure on prices and keeping seasonal factors from delivering relief at the pump to drivers frustrated by historically high fuel costs.

"For the week of Sept. 6, the national average for a gallon of regular gasoline rose to a seven-year high of $3.176 from $3.139 the week prior, according to the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA), which projected that hurricane-related supply disruptions in the Gulf of Mexico would continue to pressure prices in the near term.

"Retail gasoline prices in the United States averaged $3.16 per gallon in August, the highest monthly average since October 2014, according to the EIA."

Hurricanes? We had hurricanes when Trump was president. Gas was still cheaper than this.

Under Trump, we exported gasoline and prices were low.

Under Biden, we import oil and prices are the highest since Obama was president.

Whose side are Democrats on?

Not ours.

ITEM 9: The Washington Times reported, "A new CNN poll finds that 74% of U.S. adults now say they are “very or somewhat angry” about the way things are going in the U.S. today — that includes 88% of Republicans, 70% of independents and even 67% of Democrats. But wait, there’s more.

"Another 69% of U.S. adults now say that things are going 'pretty or very badly' in the country these days — that includes 91% of Republicans, 72% of independents and 49% of Democrats.

"And by the way, illegal immigration is still a concern for many in this nation. The CNN survey also found that 77% of U.S. adults say that it is important that the federal government 'stops the movement of undocumented immigrants into the United States.' And the partisan breakdown: 95% of Republicans, 76% of independents and 52% of Democrats agreed."

Not mentioned is the real sore thumb: Afghanistan.

I am not angry.

I am just Biden my time until we get a real president and replace Congress with 535 Americans.

ITEM 10: Hamas-Shielding AP reported, "Emily Claire Hari, who was previously known as Michael Hari and recently said she is transgender, has been sentenced to 53 years in prison for the 2017 bombing of a Bloomington mosque.

"Hari was convicted in December on five counts, including damaging property because of its religious character and obstructing the free exercise of religious beliefs. She did not testify at trial."

AP ran this picture of her.

Hmm.

By the way, mosques get protected but not Catholic churches.

ITEM 11: Fox reported, "Kamala Harris questioned after announcing steps for ‘protecting the vaccinated’: ‘Doesn’t the vax do that?’"

I'm vaccinated. What you do has no effect on me.

ITEM 12: The Chicago Sun-Times reported, "At least 64 people were shot in Chicago over the weekend, including a 12-year-old boy killed by his mother, and an off-duty firefighter and his 15-year-old niece wounded in one of two mass shootings in the city, according to police.

"At nine killed, the weekend was deadlier than the extended Labor Day holiday weekend, when 67 people were shot, six of them fatally.

"Several children were shot over the weekend. Two boys, 12 and 13, were wounded Friday night while standing on a front porch in the Austin neighborhood. Five shooting victims were 16 years old."

They extended the Summer Shooting Season by one week to let everyone get one last shot in.

ITEM 13: The Washington Times reported, "A trade group that represents the $2 trillion packaged goods industry says businesses have critical questions about President Biden’s covid 19 vaccine mandate and need answers within hours, not weeks.

"The Consumer Brands Association, whose members include companies such as Coca-Cola, General Mills and Kellogg, sent a letter to the White House demanding immediate details on Mr. Biden’s executive order issued last week, which requires companies with 100 or more employees to mandate the vaccine or impose weekly testing."

Woke Coke and Rainbow Flagging Kellogg do not oppose the mandate. They just want more details on carrying out Il Douche's orders.

ITEM 14: Zero Hedge reported, "The Taliban says it found over $6 million in cash and at least 15 gold bars after it raided the home of a longtime Afghan national politician, Amrullah Saleh.

"Saleh had been vice president since February 2020 until the collapse of the Afghan government when the Taliban overran Kabul in August. As soon as President Ashraf Ghani fled the country, reportedly with millions in cash, VP Saleh declared himself acting president of the country, which happened on Aug.17. The home where the cash was reportedly found was in the Panjshir Valley -- recently taken by the Taliban. The Taliban released video of militants rummaging through the treasure that had been left behind."

Why would he have such money?

The story said, "It's being generally acknowledged as the Taliban's biggest haul in terms of cash recovered from a single politician's house. There's long been reports and confirmation out of the Pentagon and US officials who've admitted to flying entire crates and bricks of cash into the country over the past couple decades of war.

"Often this was with the aim of paying off tribal warlords and even local politicians in order to ensure some degree of stability and peace for the US occupation. Often large quantities of cash would simply disappear. Likely the Taliban will continue to release videos of uncovering piles of cash, jewelry, and gold at former Afghan officials' residence, in order to underscore the self-serving nature of the prior corrupt US propped-up government."

That happened under Bush, Obama, and Trump.

Biden decided to pay off the Taliban to the tune of $90 billion.

ITEM 15: Politico reported, "Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis on Monday opened up another front in his ongoing battle against Covid-19 related mandates, threatening to fine cities and counties thousands of dollars if they impose vaccine requirements on their employees.

"The latest move from the governor comes after his weekslong fight with Florida schools over student mask mandates and after President Joe Biden last week said he will impose vaccine mandates on federal employees and health care providers that rely on federal funding, as well as employers with 100 or more workers."

Where does he get the power to fine them?

From the same place Biden gets the power to mandate.

ITEM 16: Newsweek reported, "Veronica Wolski, Woman Who QAnoners Demanded Hospital Treat Covid With Ivermectin, Dies."

The hospital refused to treat her with ivermectin.

This will make for an interesting malpractice case.

FINALLY, Reuters reported, "The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention on Monday warned against travel to Afghanistan, Albania, Serbia, Belize, Lithuania and four other destinations because of covid 19 concerns."

If I went to Kabul, covid would be the least of my concerns.

The white mermaid gown was created by Brother Vellies, whose handbags alone cost over a grand. I’ll bet AOC didn’t pay a penny for her gown and handbag.

    1. Unfortunately under the Prep Act, so long as a hospital follows CDC guidelines for treatment, they are exempt from all liability. They also get some nice cash and prizes for killing your loved ones. Don't believe it?

      https://www.phe.gov/Preparedness/legal/prepact/Pages/4-PREP-Act.aspx

      Section VII. Limitations on Distribution

The Secretary may specify that liability protections are in effect only for Covered Countermeasures obtained through a particular means of distribution. The Declaration previously stated that liability immunity is afforded to Covered Persons only for Recommended Activities related to (a) present or future federal contracts, cooperative agreements, grants, other transactions, interagency agreements, or memoranda of understanding or other federal agreements; or (b) activities authorized in accordance with the public health and medical response of the Authority Having Jurisdiction to prescribe, administer, deliver, distribute, or dispense the Covered Countermeasures following a declaration of an emergency.

COVID-19 is an unprecedented global challenge that requires a whole-of-nation response that utilizes federal-, state-, and local- distribution channels as well as private-distribution channels. Given the broad scale of this pandemic, the Secretary amends the Declaration to extend PREP Act coverage to additional private-distribution channels, as set forth below.

The amended Section VII adds that PREP Act liability protections also extend to Covered Persons for Recommended Activities that are related to any Covered Countermeasure that is:

      licensed, approved, cleared, or authorized by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) (or that is permitted to be used under an Investigational New Drug Application or an Investigational Device Exemption) under the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic (FD&C) Act or Public Health Service (PHS) Act to treat, diagnose, cure, prevent, mitigate or limit the harm from COVID–19, or the transmission of SARS–CoV–2 or a virus mutating therefrom;
