No More Mr. Nice Trump

President Donald John Trump seems determined to get re-elected for a second time in 2024. I am not going to tell him how to campaign, because I am confident in his political abilities. My concern is about governance. He must learn from the mistakes of the first term.

He was too nice.

He was too trusting.

He was too dependent upon Republicans in Washington, who are too interested in enriching themselves than in serving the public. Republican Senators Richard Burr, James Imhofe, and Kelly Loeffler cashed in on the stock crash after the intelligence committee (which Burr headed) was told about covid 19.

In Term II, Trump needs to clean house and fire every political appointee, because they are unreliable lifers. Tony Fauci is the best example of these builders of bureaucracies that are insulated from accountability.

He must rid the government of all of them, even the ones he originally appointed, because they have all been in Washington for too long. U.S. attorneys and regional directors also should be shown the door.

Only loyalists need apply. Ric Grenell and Mike Pompeo proved themselves in the first term. Grenell would make a good chief of staff and Pompeo should go back to State.

In Term II. Trump must bring in outsiders. There are 27 Republican governors. Surely a dozen or so of them could be brought to Washington to run things. They would bring staff members to serve as deputies.

Likewise, his next attorney general should be a state attorney general. States have plenty of Republican treasurers, agriculture commissioners, and the like to provide loyal and experienced management of the federal government.

In Term II, Trump must forget the media entirely. They just lie. He must write them off completely.

Press briefings should replace press conferences with no questions asked of him or his press secretary.

Trump should limit his interviews to the Fox Four: Carlson, Hannity, Ingraham, and Bartiromo. If he wants to break news of a scandal, he should get the word out through Kane at Citizen Free Press. Drudge made his bones with the Lewinsky scandal -- and sold out 20 years later. I want Trump to give  Kane a shot because he won't sell out.

And oh, yes, there should be scandal. Donald Trump should invest in and maintain the Mother of All Opposition Research. He needs to know the name of every mistress, drug dealer, and Chinese contact of every congressman, lobbyist, and media executive in Washington.

This will help him in negotiations. When he meets with Congressman Blowhard to discuss the budget, he should do so over dinner with both their wives. Then he should casually drop the name of the congressman's girlfriend (or boyfriend).

But legislation is not where the action is. Promulgation is. The bureaucracy's interpretation of the law is where the fat cats lobby. All these new rules must be published in the Federal Register.

The president should stop the presses.

As the chief executive of the federal government, President Trump will have the authority to approve any and all promulgations. The last-minute rule-changing by Biden must be stopped. President Trump can call them all in for review saying he is checking them for their environmental impact, for their diversity, for their impact on the budget, and for their effect on sacred tribal lands.

He can halt them for 90 days of review. And then another 90 days. And for all the 90-day periods until the end of his term.

If the courts call on him to act, he should remind them that these really are legislative matters the administration should have nothing to do with. It is not enough to repeal regulations. We must stop creating new regulation by bureaucracy entirely.

The special counsel act should be ignored. Obama never allowed Holder or Lynch to appoint one. If an AG does, can him.

In Term II, riots should be met with force under the Insurrection Act. Biden set the precedent in making DC a military camp. Do it again with Regular Army troop. And any military officer who publicly complains should be court martialed, as he is at the top of their chain of command.

Finally, in Term II, there must be paybacks. Red China must pay for covid 19.

So should Fauci and all his friends in Washington.

There also must be investigations of Hunter, Hillary, and Obama.

No more Mister Nice Trump.

    1. He's close, I would not take a bunch of governors, I would take a bunch of great secretary's of state recommended by the good governors. We can't afford to lose governorships looking at how elections are so manipulated in the inner cities, even in red (ish) States like mine of Arizona. Probably the most important thing besides border control is honest elections.

The Senate was supposed to represent the State's interests not the interests of the citizens who are represented in the lower Chamber. Cut off the corporate influence and quit making the Senate seats a money making criminal enterprise.

  8. We need him now, not in 4 years.

Reinstatement. If the Demos aren't exposed for what they did beyond the shadow of even Fake News' doubt, this country has no law.

That said, What you describe, to a certain extent, is the template left by Reagan. He loved outsiders. But, yeah, the Demos have to pay. Again, rule of law.

    And impeach Roberts.

  10. President Trump merely told Hannity that he has made up his mind about 2024, not whether he will run, although I would be more than pleased if he went full Grover Cleveland. This fall's elections in Virginia may prove to be a bellwether, and President Trump has stated his priorities in so many words as the ousting of RINOs in the primaries and flipping both houses of Congress next year. May all this come to pass.

  20. "In Term II, Trump needs to clean house and fire every political appointee, because they are unreliable lifers. "

OK. Now, what happens if the RINO Senate refuses to confirm appointees.

What happens when, not if, the courts force reinstatement because of "whistleblower laws", and civil service laws?

Do you really think if Trump removes all the "political appointees" that the senior civil service employees will take his orders?

Do you seriously believe that the FBI will pass "outsiders" through the background check process they control?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Civil service laws do not apply to appointments. If a RINO senate won't confirm, shut the departments down due to lack of leadership and Congress's failure. Tell the FBI we do not approve of any background checks from your organization, because they suck to high heaven and are worthless, so what's the point.

The senior civil service employees have to follow orders. Failure is a fireable offense, even for those with civil service protection. Also, all salary employees should be exempt from civil service laws. Hourly rated employees only - or only people making less than the national median wage.

  37. I have no interest in Trump "winning" in 2024. It can not be done if the stolen election of 2020 is not resolved. There will simply be some false flag , some excuse, some reason, some "charges" , some falsehood. The list is limited only by the imagination of the commies on the left. It will not happen. period. Fix 2020, or stop voting. Voting is simply affirming their lies. I will not participate.

  38. Great fodder for dreaming and all would be great to see. Small thing ignored however, is fixing the fraud and massive corruption of our voting systems. Who is going to tell the voting machines to "work properly"? Or who is going to prevent overseas internet jammers from switching votes during a 5 hr "pause" of vote counting by dem states? All nice to dream about however.

  39. I wholeheartedly agree. I think what happened with President Trump was this: He love the USA and I think he actually thought that it was only democrats and RHINOs that was the DC problem - I think he was shocked to find it was bureaucrats and Judges and democrats and RHINOs. And none of us suspected Obama had politicized our government.

  40. It's a nice dream, Don. However, I strongly doubt that Kurshner would ever allow President Trump to do it. That, or some other constraint will pop up, because there were 10,000 constraints on Trump during his first term, reasons he couldn't start building the abortion of a Southern border wall until the last 18 months of his first term. There were so many things he should have done during the first 100 days of his office, like fire half of the DOJ and 90% of the FBI, which he either never thought of, or didn't get around until the last few days in office.

It's not that I mistrust Trump, but ultimately, he's just a man, a man with limitations for one reason or another. Most of what you mentioned, Don, will never happen with Trump II, or any other GOP President. President Reagan had those some internal limitations.

GOP Presidents are above all, "nice". We need a cut throat who's most interested in cutting throats the throats that need cutting, than he is on what the press will write about him. We need a President that will be as ruthless and lawless as the Democrats are, and have been, to restore the US Constitution as the in-fact, law of the land.

It just ain't gonna happen. I've got 60+ years of American history to support that claim.

  41. Ahh, you were going along so well until you recommended Fox News. And CFP is the new repository for racists and ne'er-do-wells in the comment section. It gets pretty disgusting there.
The truth is the fight at the federal level is lost permanently unless every republican state bands together NOW and passes the same legislation as the others. Florida, you have a good idea on internet rights? OK, the other 22 GOP states will pass the same legislation.
All republican states are failing at K-12 and college education reform.

There are a number of good comments in this thread, but,IMHO, the problem is the Uniparty, those group of politicians that support each other and ignore the ethical issues, corruption, and criminal activities of their cohorts. During PRESIDENT TRUMP's second term, he will need to place strong, determined conservatives into leading positions in key agencies as soon as possible.

That agenda is the central core of Cultural Marxist progressivism and a Trojan Horse that must not be welcomed into the conservative movement or the GOP will get taken over just like the Dems were.
