Help Red China collapse

Wuhan Flu -- the name we dare not call covid 19 -- may have backfired on Chairman Xi by weakening Red China's economy. The Gatestone Institute said now is the time to end trade with Red China and help the CCP collapse as it nears its centennial.

Gatestone reported, "The real problem for Beijing is that consumption, the only sustainable part of the Chinese economy, looks far softer than officially reported, something evident from the widely followed China Beige Book survey. Spending will not fully recover until the coronavirus pandemic passes, and that is unlikely to happen soon due to China's barely effective vaccines."

If true, that is what happens when you rely on stealing technology rather than investing in your own research. Of course, research requires critical thinking, which endangers communism because people who think for themselves come to the conclusion that communism is unworkable.

President Trump's goal of America becoming self-reliant again upset Washington politicians because they are reliant on bribes from Red China.

But Red China is dependent on the world, too. Communists cut a deal with students after Tiananmen Square. Red China would be capitalist when it came to economics, but communist on the political end. That it lasted 32 years is remarkable because no one trusts China, especially the Chinese.

Western politicians trust Red China because its checks clear the bank. For a few million in bribes, Red China has raked in trillions in trade surpluses, which finance its military and the public works projects that keep people at home happy.

President Trump took them on, but now that he's temporarily out of the picture Red China's diplomatic corps wants to punish his allies. That is a problem.

The Wall Street Journal reported, "China’s leadership is straining to dial back its country’s chest-thumping Wolf Warrior approach to foreign policy, afraid it has begun to undermine the country’s interests, according to people familiar with the matter.

"The effort has been impaired by nationalist fervor in the country, the people said, which is only intensifying as the party marks the 100th anniversary of its founding this week.

"The Wolf Warrior ethos—named after a nationalistic Chinese film franchise about a Rambo-like action hero who battles American-led mercenary groups—took hold among China’s previously staid diplomats during the Trump administration as they responded to what Beijing saw as spurious Western attacks on China. Much of the new approach has played out on Twitter, where diplomats have fired off a barrage of barbs, threats and conspiracy theories, many of them targeting the U.S.

"High-level meetings about moderating China’s aggressive diplomacy date to April, motivated by concern that the strategy has alienated the U.S. and other countries in ways that risk isolating the Chinese economy."

And according to Gatestone, Red China's domestic economy is hurting.

Gatestone said, "To defend itself, the United States should declare that its policy is to end the rule of China's Communist Party.

"At the moment, the Party is especially vulnerable because China's economy is weaker than reported and the country is still dependent on the American market.

"Beijing's National Bureau of Statistics reported an 18.3% growth of gross domestic product in the first quarter of this year compared to the same quarter in 2020. Fortune described the results as eye-popping.

"China's Q1 result, however, was probably inflated and in any event fell below consensus estimates. Tellingly, the country's Q1 GDP registered only a 0.6% increase from the previous quarter. That figure trailed the 2.6% quarter-on-quarter growth between the third and fourth quarters of last year."

***

The USA should leverage trade. Red China needs us more than we need Red China. We invented computer chips. We can go back to making them. We should scrap all the exotic plans for windmill factories, solar panels, and electric cars. Instead, we should build our steel factories and the like. Instead of relying on foreign manufacturers, we should become a net exporter again.

Curiously, Josef Biden has not gotten around to ending tariffs on Red China's exports.

Punishing Apple, Nike, and other companies that use slave labor in Red China would send a powerful message. It also would give American shoe companies and the like a hole in the market to fill.

I see no reason to have any dealings with Red China whatsoever. We ignored Red China for 23 years from the communist takeover in 1949 to Nixon's trip to Peking in 1972.

That was a golden age for the American economy.

I am not blaming Red China for our troubles. I am merely pointing out that we were better off without Red China.

Let's go back to that, because we would be stronger and the Chinese Communist Party could collapse.

  1. We STILL don’t how many Red Chinese have died of the Wuhan, do we? I remember very on there were reports (based on satellite images) of mass graves being dug. Those got gonged by the corrupt media/intelligence community. But let’s pretend it’s 1%. One percent of a billion people is TEN MILLION. Yeah, that’d tamp down domestic demand a bit…

  2. The Reds are sitting on a disaster of epic proportions.

Their reactors are leaking, they have a massive coal shortage (source of most of their power), a worse water shortage, a farm crisis, a housing crisis (all those Potemkin cities), their building standards are unacceptable anywhere else in the world, a corruption crisis (which is their building standards), a pension crisis, and not enough kids.

A question of when, not if.

  10. I'm confused. It appears that the danger of COVID is in the reaction of killing the economy and the failure to isolate those really in danger. The Delta variant panic is an example. China should not be worried about too many people lost since one of their main policies is population limitation.
So how much of our medicine in the US comes from China? (We have not been able to produce the just PPE on our own so far.) How long will it take to replace those medicines if we stop buying every thing that China makes?
How will Hunter make a living?
Our universities will have to start using their endowments.
Our newspapers will continue to fold without the Chinese advertisements.
The foreign birth tourism will fold.
I am not against cutting off China but we need to do it smartly.

And when DeSantis is elected in 2024, the people who have profited should be shown the door, with a few arrested in morning raids with Newsmax camera's in tow. 13. Remember, China imports roughly 80% of their food and energy. They are sitting on a credit bubble that would make the most spendthrift western politician blush. They are old and poor. Their GDP numbers have been inflated by 30% annually since the century started.

Oh - and about those supply lines for food and energy, their military doesn't have the ability to protect them or project power much beyond 1000 miles, and even then the Japanese navy is significantly superior to theirs, and would control the seas quickly if things ever got hot, before we were even needed.

China has seen its peak, it is already falling. The landing will hard. Very hard.

  19. I agree with Gatestone that we need to help the CCP collapse, but I don’t think it’s a smart strategy for the United States to “declare that its policy is to end the rule of China's Communist Party.” China would counter that declaration with shutting off our supply of microprocessor chips and rare earth minerals, and we’re screwed. Better to stealthily turn the thumb screws on their economy. First, cancel the U.S. Postal Service’s subsidy of items mailed from China. (It costs $27.75 to mail a 1 lb. package from the US to China and $6.67 to mail the same package the other way.) Then, impose import tariffs on items made in China by American companies, like Nike and Apple, and on Chinese components of items assembled in the U.S. In other words, if it comes from China, in part or whole, it will cost more than buying the same parts or items made in America. This is just a pipe dream, of course, as long as Chairman Cho Bi Dung occupies the White House.

China can cease all exports to everyone and produce only for China and friends. The rest of us will have to flock to the nearest thrift shop to buy a used toaster.

An old toaster is a better toaster, if it was made before the Obama years.

An Obama era toaster takes a whole minute for the filaments to glow orange, and another whole minute before any actual toasting begins.

It's the same thing as the low flush toilet, which is actually the two-flush toilet in the real world.

Or the pathetic lawnmower without a throttle, kept to one speed.

Or the LED bulb that inflicts horrible insomnia on a significant percentage of the population seriously affected by the blue light.

  30. I enjoyed reading a lot of interesting comments from knowledgeable readers in this thread. IMHO, the world would find the PRC to be a better world citizen and better able to take care of their citizens with a capitalistic economy. One source once claimed that China was attempting to have a capital based economy under a communist regime.

I am deeply concerned that the CCP may attempt a takeover of Taiwan for a number of political and economic reasons under the current "U.S. admin". I don't believe that they would try that under President Trump. Also,I believe that the Chinese are far more concerned about Vlad than they are of anyone else. IMHO, Vlad would know how to handle any problem with the CCP.
