Nickelodeon pushes LGBTQ. Loses 72% of its audience

CNN reported, "SpongeBob SquarePants gay? Nickelodeon just reinforced that theory."

What CNN failed to report is Nickelodeon's audience is down from 1.3 million 4 years ago to just 372,000 now.

The network's problem begs the question, which comes first? Going broke or getting woke?

To stop its ratings slide, the network is bringing back Rugrats, this time with a lesbian mom in the carpool. And this month, the network is going all-in on Gay Pride Month. There was no coincidence that LGBTQ chose June, the traditional month for traditional marriage.

It is like placing Earth Day on Lenin's Birthday.

The LGBTQ movement is targeting children. They keep co-opting children's characters. Bert and Ernie. Tinky Winky of Teletubbies. Now, SpongeBob, even though the creator of the series deliberately made SpongeBob asexual.

LGBTQ Nation reported, "Rocko’s Modern Life has a reputation for putting 'how did they get away with that' jokes on kids’ TV, from an oblique reference to phone sex lines to multiple masturbation jokes. But the show also pushed the boundaries of queer inclusion, with a 1996 episode that’s a clear metaphor for coming out of the closet — and a 2019 Netflix special that features a trans character in a pivotal role."

Pushing the boundaries?

Try indoctrination.

Megan Basham of the Daily Wire wrote, "In the last two weeks, both Nickelodeon and its preschool-targeted network, Nick Jr., have released videos championing trans, queer, and pansexual inclusion. One video that sparked mass outrage depicted a cartoon version of drag queen Nina West singing about various LGBTQIA groups 'loving each other so proudly on Blues Clues and You, a show for two- to five-year-olds. That same video showed a female-to-male transgender beaver who appeared to have post-operative surgical scars on its chest."

Beaver.

That is as subtle as a lawnmower on Sunday morning.

Whatever happened to fun? Why does everything have to be indoctrination? We cancel-cultured Pepe Le Pew, but we have to have tolerate drag queens and transgendered beavers. That's some inclusion there.

Parents are noticing.

Basham pointed to a story at the Pirates and Princesses web site, "Viacom Struggles with Paramount+ and Nickelodeon While Disney Pulls Away."

ViacomCBS owns Nickelodeon.

The story said, "Since July of 2017, Nickelodeon’s viewership has dropped from 1.3 million average viewers per week to a June of 2021 average of only 372,000. In only four years, Nickelodeon has dropped more than two thirds of its audience. That is catastrophically bad for the cable channel, but with cable on the way out, maybe it’s not so bad? The catch here is that it is, in fact, that bad and perhaps worse, simply because Nickelodeon seems to be the primary driving force behind new subscribers to Paramount+."

Disney is no prize but so far it has protected its cartoons from LGBTQ. Childhood is tough enough without sexualizing it.

Parents know this and it looks like almost a million are protecting their kids by flipping Nickelodeon off.

  1. In addition to escaping California, we canceled our cable, I put an antenna on the roof instead. We miss a few things, but every time I watch it makes me happy that I'm not paying monthly carriage fees to CNN, Nickelodeon, ESPN, etc.

  2. May this be a trend.

Based on what my young grandchildren watch (and they don’t watch much TV), there are many good choices available for them on a host of free on-demand TV channels.

Don’t jump to conclusions too soon Don.

There are reports Mickey and Minnie are having a family!

Can’t wait for Mickey’s and Minnie’s new brood?

Early reports are Minnie will likely give birth (Disney has not totally ruled out Mickey giving birth) to several rainbow colored mice; each with their own “superpower.”

One of the “boy” mice will enjoy playing with dolls and painting their nails. Eventually, this boy will identify as and be referred to as a girl. This transgendered mouse’s “superpower” will be the ability to run faster than all the other girl mice. This mouse’s name will be Rocket.

Rocket will have a sister whose name is Justice. This sister will identify as female and over time she will find herself confused and frustrated because of her infatuations with other girl mice.

Eventually, she will come to terms with her yearnings and tell her family and friends she is physically attracted to only other girl mice. Her family and friends will celebrate her courageousness in recognizing who she is and proudly living her truth.

Justice’s superpower is the ability to find the good inside every mouse and all of Mother Nature’s (no God) creatures great and small.

The backstories of Mickey’s and Minnie’s other children remain under development. It’s real hush-hush.

  4. Our local minor league baseball team decided to host "Pride Night" on June 20 . . . Father's Day.

It isn't just major league baseball that sucks any more.

  6. If I recall correctly, Mickey's "kids" were all nephews. I could be wrong, it having been a long, loooong, lonnnnnnnnnnng time, and having gotten rid of my old Disney comic books.

    1. Huey Dewey and Louie, does Ditsy even feature them anymore? When Eisner took over Disney, he put it in a power dive and firewalled the throttles.
      The mouse was betrayed.

    2. Huey Dewey and Louie are Donald's nephews, Jeffery.

      Morty and Ferdie are Mickey's.

The only thing you got right is what Eisner did.

  7. We seem to see this every time there's a Lefty PUS.

All the "causes" come out, trying to make it look like they're mainstream. Back when the First Gay President was in, the CDC did a survey and found out only 1.3% of the population IDed as any kind of sexual deviant (or deviation).

  8. Get woke with kids, go broke immediately. People might put up with that trash when directed at adults, but when they catch you messing with their kids, it’s over. Good night and good riddance, Nickelodeon.
