Manchin is not the problem. Democrats are

Democrats did not win the last Senate elections. Republicans did. They did not win by as wide a margin as they needed to maintain control of the Senate, but the American people backed them, not Democrats.

And Democrats cannot handle that. They pretend that they received a landslide last November and January, when they actually lost. By believing their own Fake News, Democrats set themselves not only to fail but to fail spectacularly.

Republicans won 20 of the 35 senate races last year. Republicans received 49% of the vote, Democrats 47%.

This split the Senate 50-50. As president of the Senate, Vice President Kamala Harris decides any tie vote.

But Democrats want to pretend that they have this mandate from the people, which they do not have.

The echo chamber of the Washington media unthinkingly repeats their talking points. So reliably on message are ABC-CBS-CNN-NBC-MSNBC-AP that I truly believe their anchors are trans-species parrots. After decades of misleading the public, most people no longer follow them down the dark alleys of politics, where liberals mug them.

For example, since January the media have called Republican efforts to reform state voting laws Jim Crow. The media portrays Democrats as champions of voting rights, when in fact Democrats want to void state laws and have Washington run state and local elections.

The things Democrats want, voters do not want.

CNS News reported on its recent poll. It said, "Fully 78% of U.S. voters say asking voters to present a photo as proof of identity is an appropriate method of ensuring election integrity – more than four times the 17.2% who say it’s an unreasonable form of voter suppression. Another 4.8% say they 'don’t know.'"

Nevertheless, Democrats push their For the People Act (also known as the F**the People Act).

The only Democrat opposed is Senator Joe Manchin, who once ran state elections as West Virginia's secretary of state. Democrats want to blame him for their inability to sell their program to the American people.

Chris Cillizza of CNN wrote, "Democrats know they have already lost the legislative fight over the For the People Act -- and likely the possibility of any sort of significant voting measure in this Congress. What Manchin's vote on Tuesday will determine is whether they will have it as a political issue for next year's midterms or not."

They lost because they lost the last election, not because of Joe Manchin. The American people rejected the ultra liberal, America last policies of Democrats in the 2020 Senate elections.

But Democrats want to blame Manchin for their failure to sell socialism to the American people.

Democrats face a backlash.

Politico reported, "Liberals fume at Biden over demise of voting rights bill."

The story said, "Progressives are steaming that Biden didn’t use his bully pulpit to try to move the needle on the bill — or strike a deal allowing Congress to block GOP legislatures from curbing access to voting. They want to know how Democratic leaders can claim in one breath that democracy is in jeopardy — and in the next let this legislation crash and burn."

Biden did not use his bully pulpit because he cannot speak well in public. And he needs naps. Lots of them. He called it a day at 2:44 p.m. on Monday. He is not a good salesmen. I doubt he could sell ice cream to Cub Scouts on a hot summer's day, which is why they kept him in the basement during last fall's campaign.

Democrats have not won the Senate. Acting as if they did fools no one. Blaming Manchin gets them nowhere. And if their plan is to win in 2022 by voting on doomed bills, I see Republicans flipping the Senate.

  1. I would love to see the results of the forensic audit of Georgia's general election with respect to the Senate seats. If the forensics show that the runoff was sham, the Senate could become 52-46-2. No need for the supreme injustices of the court to raise a finger.

    1. Even if an audit proves that the election was a sham, and it was, there's no way to say what the honest count would have been. The democrats know that no matter how blatantly they cheat, they can destroy the evidence so completely that the truth can't be accurately reconstructed. Unfortunately there is no legal provision for do-overs.

    2. Can't they require a new, honest (I know, right!) election?

    3. Actually, unlike the presidential election, a stolen senate election could result in a recall of the senator so elected and force a run off. It would be up to the rules of state.

    4. This is something I was blithering about late last year; there may be no legal provision, but there is legal precedent... though we would be in uncharted waters due to the level and scale of what happened.

The domestic precedent is that 2018 Congressional contest in NC - where the GOP candidate won in a close race, but it was found that ballot harvesting (illegal in NC) had been used by the GOP candidate... and since the level of impact of the ballot harvesting could not be determine vis-a-vis the outcome, a do-over was ordered. It's also common internationally when there is a shady election where the fraud can't be quantified and excised to impose a do-over; this happened at least once last year (I think it was in Ivory Coast of all places... and should have been done in Belarus since the irregularities sound... very similar to our problems), and the most famous one is the 2004 do-over in Ukraine that righted a rigged election.

Let's first get all the fraud ducks in order. Then we can be outraged...

    5. There is no federal recall, but courts can interfere, if guess. Don't think court ordered redos have been ruled on by the SCOTUS as recalls have.

    6. Actually, it is now believed at least one of them never qualified for the run-off, let alone the final election.

If even one Senator is recalled for cause, the SCOTUS precedent of law is clear: "Fraud vitiates everything." Any legislation passed by one vote. Any nominees inducted by 1 vote.

This will of course cascade - once fraud is proven in ONE state, there will be a demand for EVERY state to audit the ballots. Once 4 states decertify their Presidential election, Xiden is history and, again, "Fraud vitiates everything." Every bill signed. Every Executive Order. Every nomination and appointee. Any acts by those nominees and/or appointees. Every firing reversed, and their replacement booted.

The remedy is simple. Getting there should not be so difficult. Almost every State already scans every ballot - a computer "forensic audit" of every single ballot should be a STANDARD and MINIMUM election integrity check in every election.

  2. I saw another poll where voter ID has about 84% "BIPOC" support, 77% PoP (People of Pallor)support. So who's the racist?

    1. Keep in mind (as I've been contending for some time) that all this race-baiting b.s. and CRT ("the renazification of socialism") is all just a smokescreen being used by upper-class gentry liberals (who in numbers are about 99.44% white) to disqualify competition from non-elites whites - since the gentry liberals got their money, status, and connections by inheritance - and couldn't actually earn any of that on their own if they tried. As Prof. Reynolds has noted, "no voter ID" is something only associated with woke upper-class white gentry liberals; it's another one of their "luxury beliefs" that no one else can afford.

      Delete
    2. Exactly - just look closely and you'll see that CRT and woke and all that are being pushed mostly by white folks - RICH white folks who are rich and well-connected because of what grandpa did not what they did.

And happy that someone got where "99.44%" came from! :-)

    3. The ad just said "99.44% pure"...it never said what was pure. The reason Ivory Soap floats is because of the air that is whipped into the soap. So maybe the 99.44% pure is pure air, just like what the upper-class gentry liberals is spouting.

    4. Naw...it's whipped air all right, but it's not in soap...but it still floats anyway..

  3. And it all comes back to the media being the biggest problem.

    1. The problem is that we all know that "the media" pulls a vacuum - but the problem is what are we going to do about it. It's like "back in the day" complaining about what a pack of lies Radio Moscow was broadcasting all the time, knowing that there's no way that they are going to reform.

That's a lead-in to the notion that like regular people in eastern Europe back in the day, we have to find ways to work around the "official" (sic) channels. Everyone knew that Radio Moscow (et al.) was nonsense - and instead got their info from VoA, the BBC, etc. We need to do the same sorts of things. And Don is sure pulling more than his weight on this count!

  4. I don't want to monopolize the comments and test Don's patience :-) , but as per something this morning, ultimately we're going to need to deal with the problem of "You don't need a President for life if you have a bureaucracy for life."

Another Steynism is that Democrats are in power, but Republicans are only in office - and the permanent bureaucracy is a core part of that problem. We've done plenty of getting good people elected - and then nothing is fixed. SOMEONE has to go in there and take a wrecking ball to the bureaucracy.

Democrats are indeed the problem - to a large degree because they have a satanic alliance with the permanent bureaucracy (which is increasingly-impervious to electoral politics).

    1. Amen to this. Trump should have fired the top five levels of the organizational chart in the Justice dept.,IRS, and intelligence-deficient community. The lawsuits would still be going on, and Trump would still be president.

  5. Yes the media is the major problem with the total corruption of our elections, but massive fault also lies with the republicans who just go along with the fraud, because its EASIER that way. Until this changes, we have no faith in fair or free elections. Nothing will change in 2022, they will cheat right in your face and dare you to bitch about it. Just watch.

  9. And yet Manchin apparently voted for the fraudulent, corrupt, Democrat voting bill. Not surprised here.

  10. Manchin is simply upping the ante, when his bribe is reached, he will fall in the demoncrap pool and vote as told.

  17. If you ask me, The fraud that will be exposed at the Presidential level in the AZ audit, will also expose the same at the House and Senate level if those votes are checked as well. I would not be shocked if Senate retained its majority and the House removed the Dems as the Majority party. As it is the House is barely in a place of Dem control.

Between the fake ballots, the ballots that were "adjudicated", and the ballots filled in with sharpies and other issues, There is good reason to be doubtful of any of the results that we have been asked to accept.

I get that reviewing every race is a task hat there may not be time for in the current situation. So we may well never know the true outcome of every race in the 2020 election. But I firmly believe that there was fraud on many levels of the 2020 election. Not just the Presidential, that was just the cherry on top of the cake.

  22. Republicans won the two seats in Georgia probably except for all the shenanigans of Stacey Abrams, Gov Kemp, and SOS Raffensperger. Georgia is screwed by these filthy dirty creeps and abominations.
