Trump earned it

CBS had some bad news for CBS and the rest of the media. The Republican Party remains in Donald John Trump's hands because he earned it. Republicans overwhelmingly agree with him on the economy, on immigration, and on how to treat the media.

That is because Donald Trump showed Republicans how to do it and was successful.

3.5% unemployment.

Lowest flow of illegal aliens in decades.

And of course, Sarah Sanders and Kayleigh McEnany.

President Trump boosted his 2016 election vote total by 13 million, as he received 75 million votes in 2020, the most votes for any sitting president.

CBS reported, "Republicans say that Mr. Trump himself represents their views just as well as they think the party does; it's a personal connection to him we've seen for years. Today, loyalty also means they specifically want the party to follow more of the former president's examples across a range of items, including economics, issues of race and immigration, how to treat the media, using power and leadership, generally."

Far from being a cult of personality, the Republican Party is grounded in some very sound policies. Topping the list is building a strong economy -- making America great again.

What do Democrats offer? Pronouns, riots, and systemic racism.

Donald Trump was an ideas president. He offered Americans an alternative to the slow-winding downward spiral of socialism. He offered Americans their nation back from deep state fascists and never-ending war. He offered Americans a chance to keep Red China from overtaking our nation and dominating the world.

Covid 19, a biomedical weapon, may have stopped him, but that is one small setback. Republicans want Trumpism in which the middle class expands and flips a single digit salute to the media and other elitists.

DC Republicans acknowledged this when they ousted a deep-state plant from House leadership. We shall see in time if her successor is a convert to Republicanism or a female Paul Ryan.

Make no mistake, we will accept converts. Donald Trump may have been a late-comer to the pro-life movement but he got Planned Parenthood to defund itself when he was president. Christianity needed Paul as well as Peter.

CBS's poll shows there is substance to the party. That should shake the DC Establishment to its core.

  1. We hear a lot about the 85% support Trump has from Republicans, but what about the 30-45% support from Rural Democrats like those in West Virginia? I thionk we should be hammering on Democratic congressmen to embrace MAGA prior to 2022 or get drowned in a red wave.

    1. "we should be hammering on Democratic congressmen to embrace MAGA"

The problem with that idea is that the Swamp has a great retirement program for government officials who keep the faith with the donor class..

  3. CBS is one of the media I do not trust, but this time it has told some truth. Not that I expect to see any more truth from it...

I clicked on American News, saw what it was, and revoked my click.

    1. If anything in the mainstream media sounds good to a conservative, I check multiple other sources to verify.

  4. The transition to MAGA requires two parts:

    1)MAGA success
    2)Neocon/Neolib failure

#1 is completed and #2 has begun

  5. I must beg to differ on the effect of the Covid 1984 scamdemic stopping PDJT.
It did not work, hence the widespread cheating on behalf of the dementia patient.

    1. Good point, except that COVID and the Global over-reaction to it were fundamental steps in the coup against our duly elected president. The "Progressives" (Democrats/Socialists/Communists/spawn of Satan) had been brainstorming and plotting the demise of our republic for a very long time even before Trump was elect President.

    2. Agree. We must never lose our resolve to live not by lies or we’ll share the fate we deserve.

The plandemic was barely an epidemic designed only to ruin our economy and steal the White House and the senate.

I’ve lived through several epidemics over 60+ years. Working within the school system for 30 years, the evidence was everywhere. We could SEE the dwindling numbers of students, faculty, and staff because of widespread sickness. Some years, usually in January, the school system closed for a few days to a week to permit recovery time. Then we moved on just like mentally and emotionally people do.

Not so with this deep state, managed scamdemic. People weren’t sick at school. No rise in absentees or teacher sick days. NOTHING. The relentless use of flawed, false positive testing and propaganda created irrational fear that quickly resulted in a federal and state imposed lockdown never before witnessed in our country. Like Don reminds us, we fought a way for our independence during a smallpox epidemic. How far we have fallen.

Only one person I know got the Wuhan flu and he recovered. I refuse to live by lies anymore.

    1. I hope they don't and get cold-cocked out of office. If they see the writing, they may act like they have changed, until after the next election.

  8. As I looked at the opening graphic, one question came to mind, do the 23% who didn't like how he treated the media feel like me, that he was way too nice? Some of them desperately need to spend a few years in a socialist heaven like Venezuela or Cuba, living and working with the common folks.

    1. Yes, it sure is. Over and above Trump's long list of achievements was flushing out the Deep State into the sunlight for all to see. Once exposed, they were forced to go full speed ahead with their 100-year plan to finally take over America. We are witnessing that headlong rush now and it's generating widespread blowback from actual Americans. How the DC creeps must fear an honest and tough AG with the motivation to right a very long list of wrongs. Orange jumpsuits as far as the eye can see. That's my fantasy anyway.

  12. Excellent column. I have confidence in Representative Elise Stefanik‘s judgment. She was a very strong fighter for President Trump and his voters when the Democrats pulled their phony slanderous impeachment efforts against President Trump.

I have less faith in the judgment of Kevin McCarthy (pathetic dunce and grifter onto GOPe RINO pollster/consultant Frank Luntz) and Steve Scalise (I don’t dislike Scalise, it’s that he’s done nothing to impress me. Getting targeted and shot by an attempted murderer is something I acknowledge and give Scalise credit for; but it doesn’t automatically give him a free pass to GOP leadership)

    1. Agree, too. Show us a list of accomplishments, not a string of fund-raising press releases. After decades of hot air, we are tired of Republican bullshit.
