Highlights of the News

Billboard upsets liberals. Newspaper front page did not.

ITEM 1: President Trump weighed in on Hamas attacking Israel with hundreds of rockets supplied by Iran.

Our president emeritus said, "When I was in office we were known as the Peace Presidency, because Israel’s adversaries knew that the United States stood strongly with Israel and there would be swift retribution if Israel was attacked.

"Under Biden, the world is getting more violent and more unstable because Biden’s weakness and lack of support for Israel is leading to new attacks on our allies. America must always stand with Israel and make clear that the Palestinians must end the violence, terror, and rocket attacks, and make clear that the U.S. will always strongly support Israel’s right to defend itself."

Liberals called him shit for brains because liberals hate peace.

ITEM 2: Democrat Congresswoman Ilhan Omar openly supports bombing Israel.

She tweeted, "Israeli air strikes killing civilians in Gaza is an act of terrorism.

"Palestinians deserve protection.

"Unlike Israel, missile defense programs, such as Iron Dome, don’t exist to protect Palestinian civilians.

"It’s unconscionable to not condemn these attacks on the week of Eid."

The reason Palestinians do not have an Iron Dome is because they are too stupid and lazy to invent one.

I would condemn the attacks on the week of Eid by Palestinians but it seems The Lord and the IDF are punishing them already.

ITEM 3: Newsweek reported, "A trucking company based in Fort Worth, northern Texas, is offering to pay experienced drivers $14,000 a week—$728,000 a year—as the U.S. grapples with a nationwide shortage of truckers.

"Sisu Energy, which describes itself as a 'cutting-edge trucking company,' says applicants must be over 25, with at least two years of experience, and must have a commercial driver's license.

"Jim Grundy, CEO of Sisu Energy, told Texas TV station KENS 5: 'Insurance companies won't insure you if you're not 25 years old, if you don't have two years of experience. So, as a new driver coming out, these opportunities aren't available to you.'

"Speaking to Newsweek, a spokesperson for the company explained Grundy is 'hiring owner-operators of trucks, not just truck drivers like company truck drivers'."

Old career advice: Get a PhD.

New career advice: Get a CDL.

ITEM 4: Red State reported, "Minneapolis Mayor Comes to Striking Conclusion That Defunding the Police Increased Crime."

That was the whole point. Don't you get it? Democrats are the party of lawlessness and disorder. This is why they are ending cash bail, decriminalizing shoplifting, calling riots peaceful protests, shortening sentences for gun crimes, and defunding police.

They also support allowing MS-13 to infiltrate the country.

Once they gain control, they will crack down. Hard. Minorities will be hardest hit.

Until then, a generation of inner city kids will loot, carjack, and murder to their hearts' content.

ITEM 5: Rumble reported, "Joe Biden Admits, 'I'm Not Supposed to Be Answering' Reporters' Questions."

He's not supposed to be sitting at the Resolute Desk.

ITEM 6: Just the News reported, "Republican voters still overwhelmingly favor former President Trump in a hypothetical 2024 presidential election but would break strongly for Florida GOP Gov. Ron DeSantis should Trump decide not to run, new polling shows.

"The polling, conducted by the Trafalgar Group, in partnership with Convention of States Action, shows that among likely Republican primary voters, 61% signaled an intent to vote for Trump.

"49% declared they would absolutely vote for Trump, and 7.8% said they would consider voting for him.

"If Trump chooses not to run in 2024, likely Republican primary voters overall would opt for DeSantis.

"The rising GOP star and former congressman would capture 34.9% of the GOP vote, with his next-closest GOP competitor Sen Ted Cruz.  Roughly 15% of those polled picked the Texas congressman and 2016 presidential candidate."

Neither Carter nor Bush 41 attracted 61% of their respective party's voters after they lost the presidency.

ITEM 7: Just the News reported, "U.S. Customs and Border Protection reported Tuesday that 178,622 people attempted to illegally enter America's southern border in April, a two-decade high."

The story also said, "the monthly total was the highest since the early 2000’s, according to CPB historical data."

This was the highest in 21 years.

MS-13 and other border jumpers know Biden is weak and a fool. They exploit him.

Meanwhile, Zero Hedge reported, "President Biden is finally wising up after stoking a crisis at the southern U.S. border, which started after the 2020 election. Fox News reports the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will restart border wall construction in Rio Grande Valley.

"Fox News' Bill Melugin tweeted, 'Fox News has confirmed via the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers that construction on a 13.4 mile stretch of border wall in the Rio Grande Valley will *RESUME* after pressure from local residents & politicians'."

The complaints came from Democrats.

ITEM 8: ABC reported, "A conservative legal outfit filed a lawsuit Wednesday against President Joe Biden's administration for its prioritization of restaurants and bars owned by women and certain minorities in its COVID-19 relief package, arguing white men are being 'pushed to the back of the line' for aid for their eateries.

"The lawsuit led by the Wisconsin Institute for Law & Liberty targets the period from May 3 until May 24 during which the $28.6 billion Restaurant Revitalization Fund will only process and fund requests from businesses owned by women; veterans; or socially and economically disadvantaged individuals. Eligibility opens broadly after that period.

"Biden has previously said that female-owned and minority-owned businesses have been disproportionately hurt by the COVID-19 economic crisis.

"The lawsuit filed in U.S. District Court in East Tennessee names U.S. Small Business Association Administrator Isabella Casillas Guzman as the defendant."

Our government should not indulge in sexism and racism.

ITEM 9: The Daily Caller reported, "Republican Gov. Bill Lee signed a law requiring fetal remains to be cremated or buried in Tennessee, according to ABC24.

"SB0828 would require certain medical providers to bury or cremate fetal remains from a surgical abortion. The bill 'requires an abortion facility to pay for and provide for the cremation or interment of the fetal remains from a surgical abortion performed at that facility,' according to the bill’s text."

The new law's real purpose is to get a court challenge that could lead to overturning Roe v. Wade.

In the 48 years since the Supreme Court's 7-2 decision on Roe v. Wade, science has made great strides in obstetrics. Babies can survive after 26 weeks of gestation or less. We need to follow the science and reverse Roe v. Wade.

ITEM 10: The Los Angeles Times reported, "Only about one-third of Latino and Black Californians have received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine, while majorities of white and Asian American Pacific Islander Californians have, according to a Times analysis.

"The Times analysis found that 33% of Latino residents and 34% of black residents of the state have received at least one dose of vaccine. By contrast, 50% of white residents, 46% of Native American residents and 60% of Asian American Pacific Islander residents have received a dose."

It's not Trump supporters who are the laggards.

But that is how the media plays it.

ITEM 11: Politico reported, "Just 7% of the roughly 9 million people vaccinated for Covid-19 in Florida are black, a figure that has Gov. Ron DeSantis administration officials and advocates pledging to do more to boost vaccination rates in black communities."

17% of the state is black.

It's on the black communities, not the government.

ITEM 12: Breitbart reported, "House Judiciary antitrust subcommittee ranking member Rep. Ken Buck (R-CO) is continuing to co-sponsor and promote a bill with Rep. David Cicilline that would allow big media companies to form a cartel to pressure companies for more censorship and special favors by creating a special antitrust carve-out for them.

"Buck is leading this charge while taking thousands and thousands of dollars this year from special interests and lobbyists backing the legislation. In total, in just the past two months, recent Federal Election Commission (FEC) filings show Buck has raked in at least $18,000 from lobbyists, special interest groups, and PACs for organizations that support the legislation he is championing that would fundamentally change the media and technology landscape."

He is living up to his name.

ITEM 13: President Trump said, "If there were long and horrible gas lines like this under President Trump, the Fake News would make it a national outrage! Did Joe Biden put Hunter in charge of our energy, with all of his Burisma experience? Even Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm is lost!"

As you wait in line for an hour to pay $4 a gallon for gasoline, remember, Joe Biden isn't sending any mean tweets.

ITEM 14: Sane Marylanders, West Virginia welcomes you.

The plan is to replace real police with communist ones.

ITEM 15: The Tampa Bay Times reported, "Dunkin’ customer died after employee punched him, Tampa police say

"Corey Pujols, 27, said he punched the 77-year-old man after the man called him a racial slur, according to an arrest report. The man later died. Pujols faces a manslaughter charge."

They lynched Emmett Till for whistling at a white woman.

Same result, different racism.

And how much do you want to bet the customer did not slur him?

ITEM 16: Carolyn Casey, J.D., reported, "In West Virginia’s Southern District, a major opioid-related multi-district litigation bellwether trial recently began. Several WV local governments brought the initial action against drugmakers AmerisourceBergen Drug Co., Cardinal Health Inc., and McKesson Corp. The complaint alleges the defendants played an integral role in the widespread distribution of opioid drugs throughout the state. Senior U.S. District Judge David Faber is presiding over the 12-week trial.

"The trial kicks off on the heels of multi-million dollar settlements in several other opioid crisis cases. After COVID-19-related postponements, this trial will set a significant precedent for hundreds of other pending opioid crisis lawsuits."

Opioids have ruined an already depressed Southern West Virginia.

ITEM 17: Legal Insurrection reported, "Harvard University’s student newspaper discovered that over 40% of faculty members believe that the school’s standing is worsening.

"The Crimson asked professors 'how they believe the University’s standing within higher education has changed over the past decade.' Professors were largely pessimistic about the school’s status: 41% say it has fallen, 53% say it is unchanged, and a mere 6% say it has risen."

41% get it.

53% are in denial.

6% are clueless.

ITEM 18: The New York Times admitted, "Want a coronavirus vaccine? U.S. pharmacies say walk right in."

Sit right down.

Daddy, let your mind roll on.

I love capitalism, don't you?

FINALLY, Yahoo reported, " 'Do not fill plastic bags with gasoline:' Government warns drivers hoarding fuel."

Oh government, shut up. Let Darwinism thin the herd.

  1. Re Harvard: I would say that most of the 53% of profs who told the Crimson they think Harvard's rep hasn't deteriorated aren't in denial. Rather, they know the deterioration has indeed occurred, but they don't have the integrity to honestly admit it.

  2. Re Plastic Bags of Gasoline: Give them some credit. At least they weren't trying to use paper bags.

    1. They probably did, at first.

    2. They tried condoms, then found out that they needed a thousand of them to fill the tank. One flaming dope (literally) found out the reason why people smoke after having sex, not during it.

  3. Big D, I’ve seen at least a dozen DC “Taxation Without Representation” (GFY, Ed. Note) license plates up here in the EP in the last month. Are there really such a thing as based District residents or do I need to gear up for Invasion of the Money Snatchers?

  4. Don, yes let's let Darwinism thin the herd, either with gasoline or opioids.

  5. "The reason Palestinians do not have an Iron Dome is because they are too stupid and lazy to invent one."
Anyone else find this statement ignorant and offensive?
Israel has the Iron Dome because the US gave it to them.

    1. No, we tried selling them "Star Wars" pie-in-the-sky.
IDF developed Iron Dome on their own.
Don't believe me? Then ask yourself why we never used it to protect U.S. troops?
P.s. Still waiting on that star wars crap, too.

    2. Israel built the iron dome system because U.S. systems were inadequate for the job.
Israel wouldn't need the Iron Dome system if the Palistidiots were not hell bent on attacking them.

    3. Does anyone else think Israel is exercising amazing restraint in dealing with this Palestinian crap?

    4. "Anyone else find this statement ignorant and offensive?"

Yes, I do. That is, "Anyone else find this statement ignorant and offensive?" is an ignorant and offensive statement.

Sorry, pal. You had your chance with the Third Reich. You blew it.

    5. One thing Trump did was work a deal with the Arabs and Israel. When Iran tries something at least Israel won't be alone . The Palistinians, however..

    6. So based on responses, clearly Don's comment wasn't 'Ignorant'... As for 'offensive', I've grown quite tired of people wanting to be excluded from being 'offended' You're better than that knifecatcher! And truth isn't offensive anyway!

    7. This comment has been removed by the author.

    8. This comment has been removed by the author.

    9. "Palestinians are stupid and lazy."

How about "vermin'. Are they also vermin?
Sorry but I side with Glen Greenwald on this one.

    10. Why do we send billions to Israel and their govt provides better health and education to their citizens than ours does. What happened to "America First?" Ditto NATO.

    11. Of course the Iron Dome has nothing to do with the billions we send Israel. Completely independent.

    12. Fascism ended in Germany 75 years ago. At what point does the talking point end?

    13. We give billions to many countries. We get some benefit back in intelligence and a stable ally in M.E.
We also give $$ to Palestinians. Biden reversed Trump policy and sent about $225 million a few weeks ago and magically bombs started raining on Israel a few weeks later. Same with sending money to Iran. Cause and effect if there ever was one

    14. US Aid to Israel - 3.3 billion

      Regional Rank:
      Income Group Rank:

    15. Understand Trump was a president and not a pundit.
Despite all the constraints, his Middle East policy was a great success.

    16. What is truly ignorant and offensive is downplaying the fact that Paleos are sending thousands of rockets indiscriminately into Israeli population centers which, but for Iron Dome, would have killed thousands of civilians .. so that you can focus all precious indignation on some adjective that Don Surber employed

    17. The persons replying to this post know more than the original poster. Fact check - True

  6. 10, 11
    Couple days ago, you wrote:

"Is there any way to unvaccinate yourself? Asking for a friend named me."

You remember that, Don? Maybe you'll cut some slack to those people who didn't take the jabs.

    "Let Darwinism thin the herd."

    It already has.

  7. Item 2: The “Palestinians” (actually, the terror group Hamas) fired over 1000 rockets at Israel, with a handful getting past Israel’s Iron Dome defense system. Israel responded with precision attacks on Hamas leaders, killing nine commanders and 60 other officers, and 650 other targets in Gaza, such as command centers, banks, government buildings, tunnels, and rocket launchers. Now, with their top people dead and infrastructure in smouldering ruins, all of a sudden Hamas is rethinking the wisdom of attacking Israel. So they’ve just announced they want a “cease fire” agreement with Israel. Netanyahu said no, the retaliation on Gaza will continue. “Whatever we don't do now, we will have to do in six months or a year from now,” Netanyahu said. Must be nice to have a strong leader who is willing to protect his people. Oh, wait… We used to have a leader like that.

FINALLY; “'Do not fill plastic bags with gasoline:' Government warns drivers hoarding fuel.” Everybody knows gasoline should be put in glass bottles with a strip of cloth stuffed in the top.

    1. And the Israeli left is trying to get rid of their strong leader.

    2. The international strategy for all leftists can be summed up with one word: Vandalism. Vandalism at every level of society, from institutions right down to street level riots. What takes more skill, planning and perseverance, building a high rise in Manhattan, or setting it on fire?

    3. Randy, you have a wonderful sense of humor.

    4. Israel needs to finish them off - take Gaza - and ship the refugees to the West Bank. All of them.

Then they need to give the remaining PA "pseudo state" to admit complete and total surrender to Israel immediately. Otherwise, hostilities will begin again with the ultimate destruction of the PA. Their leaders captured and tried for war crimes and executed.

The problem with every US response to the Israeli - PA dispute was the unwillingness to accept that the PA would never accept peace unless they were utterly defeated in war. Now is the time to do it.

Way to go President *. You finally convinced Israel to go ahead and do it. Trump gave strong peace a chance. You - wrong as always - decided you would create the environment for giving war a chance.

    5. Lardmaster is correct about the left in Israel. But also the leftist in DC are on that same page. When Obama was in office, his administration worked (foreign election interference) to have Netanyahu defeated. Biden has many of those same advisors in place.

  8. Item 4 - Let’s not forget the Dems are also the party of intolerance and anger.

  9. Item 11 - See item 18. COVID vaccinations are available on a walk in basis in Florida. Anyone who wants one can get one. COVID is effectively over as a result. Thank you, Donald Trump.

    1. It had a 99.7% survival rate.

It was never a thing except in Fake News.

    2. Johnny, sunshine (vitamin D) and fresh air is the best vaccine and cure. It worked for the Spanish Flu and it's working now. What's the point of a so-called vaccine when, as Ed said, this virus has such a high survival rate?

Also, it's obvious the federal government has made itself into Public Enemy No. 1. So, why in hell would I shoot up with something Public Enemy No. 1 really, really wants me to have? What's the saying, "In politics, there are no accidents." So, when someone asks me why I haven't had the vaccine, I respond with, "Because I exercise common sense." Others may respond with, "Because my family pressured me into it," which I understand. The consequences of all of this won't be known for a while.

    3. I made this statement to my boss a couple of months ago: "A healthy person has zero chance of dying from this virus." Of course nothing is zero, but I said it to tweak him a little. He was all big on getting the vaccination and he was one of the first in line. And he is a big Conservative. Listened to Rush everyday. Everyone has their own reasons, I guess.

    4. The sales clerk at Staples made me wear the mask a while back. I said to him on my way out, "A young healthy person like you has zero chance of dying from this thing, you know? I am old and fat and I'm not gonna to die". I made sure everyone around us could hear. I walked out to stunned silence. I wish I could have seen the look on their faces but they all had on the stupid masks.

    5. I've been saying for over a year now, 'Where are the piles and piles of dead cashier and front line employees who deal with the general public every day?!?! If this were truly a pandemic killing virus, there would be bodies everywhere and NO ONE would work in retail without a hazmat suit on.

    6. Trump's owner, Good point! Remember that ad years ago when the old lady asked, "Where's the beef?"

  10. Item 13 - Don, can't believe an old survivor from the 60s hasn't used this classic from my favorite English band of all time:

  11. Item 3: "Sisu Energy." I didn't know there are Finns in Texas. From Wikipedia: "Sisu is a Finnish concept described as stoic determination, tenacity of purpose, grit, bravery, resilience, and hardiness and is held by Finns themselves to express their national character. It is generally considered not to have a literal equivalent in English." Lot of Finns in my neighborhood.

Item 4: The STUPID was, and IS, STRONG in Mionneapolis.

"Fox News' Bill Melugin tweeted, 'Fox News has confirmed via the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers that construction on a 13.4 mile stretch of border wall in the Rio Grande Valley will *RESUME* after pressure from local residents & politicians'."
Don wrote: "The complaints came from Democrats."
Geeee, maybe they're wising up. Maybe next time they'll vote Republican...

Item 10: Don wrote, "It's not Trump supporters who are the laggards.

But that is how the media plays it." Because the "media" is/are in bed with the Dems.

Item 11: "17% of the state is black.

It's on the black communities, not the government."
The legacy of the Tuskeegee experiment remains strong. Don't they know that was done by Democrats?

Item 12: Buck should be a Dem; he'd fit right in.

FINALLY, Yahoo reported, " 'Do not fill plastic bags with gasoline:' Government warns drivers hoarding fuel." The STUPID is STRONG in those who do. It could help clean up the gene pool.

  12. Donald John Trump is still our president.

5: He's supposed to be sitting in a padded room.

6: We don't need him in 4 years.

    We need him now.

    7: Define irony.

10: It's the blacks and Hispanics who are wising up.

And most of them are Trump supporters.

    11: Ditto 10.

  13. #4: Leftists need to create a problem in order to take other peoples money to solve the problem they created. Any questions?

    1. No questions. You're 100% correct. Class dismissed.

    2. Take the money to solve the problem, then not solve the problem but keep the money for themselves and their cronies. They are not capable of solving anything. note: Afghanistan is not the longest war. LBJ's War on Poverty" is.

  14. This comment has been removed by the author.

  15. Item #3: "Jim Grundy, CEO of Sisu Energy...: 'Insurance companies won't insure you if you're not 25 years old, if you don't have two years of experience..."

Already happening, right now, not tomorrow, NOW, guaranteed:

You've just created a black market for inexperienced, uninsured drivers of any feasible age over 15 who are now driving those trucks because there's a huge payday for everyone involved if the goods get shipped from point A to point B.

Doubt this? Who do you think's moving the cocaine shipments?

They'll obey the law for avocados?!

  16. Want to know what's really bad news? A young punk, driving a big, heavy truck, while texting on his goddamned phone. Had an 18-wheeler gravel truck rear end a school bus in our town a several years ago. Luckily, no students were hurt. Another time, a loaded dump truck skidded to the RIGHT of a stopped school bus and came with twenty feet of wiping out a special needs student as he was approaching the bus door. Why? Because the driver wasn't watching what the hell he was doing. Big trucks and young, dumb asses don't mix.

  17. 6. And liz polled zero which is also her chance of becoming President.
Finally, the government lies so much they've lost their credibility. Kind of like the msm, the fbi and the doj.

  18. Item #4: Defunding the Police.

They’re defunding the Police because they want to BE the Police.

They’re well on their way to a Federal Police force.
