Tim Scott: "Woke supremacy is as bad as white supremacy."

The left reached Peak Wokeness on Monday when the New York Times got Pepé Le Pew fired from an upcoming Space Jam movie. That Le Pew is a cartoon character did not spare him any more than it spared Dumbo and Peter Pan from being placed on the adult content section of Disney+.

This incessant attack on normal by this self-righteous mob of entitled victims is exhausting. I can barely keep up with who was canceled. And the attack on normal is literal.

Australia's ABC reported, "Dove soap maker Unilever will remove the word normal from its beauty and personal care products, as well as stop digitally altering images of models used in its advertising, in a push to be more inclusive.

"The move from the London-based company, which is one of the top advertisers in the world, comes as it tries to move beyond the backlash it has faced for some of its advertising campaigns."

The voracious appetite of the mob seems to cancel something new on a daily basis.

Robby Soave, writing about last week's cancellation of 6 Dr. Seuss books, said, "Disappearing books from library shelves gets us closer to the classic example of censorship, though of course a physical library possesses a finite amount of space and thus has to consider certain priorities. What's happening to Dr. Seuss is the result of a very specific kind of prioritization, however: One decided upon not by readers or the public at large, but by activist educators peddling a false narrative about the beloved child author's books and characters.

"This narrative—the result of a highly misleading 2019 report on 'Orientalism, anti-blackness, and white supremacy in Dr. Seuss's children's books'—has quickly become influential, motivating much of the recent shift away from Seuss among certain government officials, educators, libraries, and even private publishers. Learning for Justice, an outgrowth of the undeservedly well-regarded Southern Poverty Law Center, cited the report as evidence that it had misjudged The Sneetches, a Seuss story about a group of birds—some with stars on their bellies, some without—who eventually come to realize that their superficial physical differences don't matter at all."

Poor Soave.

He suffers from believing that the elitists pushing this nonsense want equality or any of their stated goals. No, no, no. The elitists want to divide us by race, by sex, by type of sex we have, by religion, and by any other means necessary.

Conservatives know this is wrong. We seem helpless to stop them.

Enter the junior senator from South Carolina. After Joy Reid of MSNBC called him a prop, Senator Tim Scott went on Fox to declare, "Woke supremacy is as bad as white supremacy. We need to take that seriously."

He articulated what many of us were thinking. Declaring one group superior to others is indeed a bigotry. Empowering that endangers a society.

As for Reid, Scott said, "when she calls a United States Senator who's a subject matter expert a prop, a token, or a superficial covering, that's personal and that's wrong and she should be held to account."

They all should.

In 8 words, Senator Scott has enabled those bullied by the mob to fight back: "Woke supremacy is as bad as white supremacy."

Make no mistake. I do not care about a cartoon skunk, Dr. Seuss, or what they call a soap in Australia. That is for small-minded people. But I do care about allowing a small band of well-financed bullies to determine what is acceptable and what is not acceptable in society.

At 55, Scott is in the sweet spot for the presidency.

Just saying.

    3. I am making a good salary from home $1200-$2500/week , which is amazing, under a year back I was jobless in a horrible economy. I thank God every day I was blessed with these instructions and now it’s my duty to pay it forward and share it with Everyone,

      Here is what I do……

    4. Hey Tim...I am selling my white supremacy card. Never figured out how it works so it's pretty much new. Also interested in trading for a victim card in leau of cash. Call if interested.

  3. What White supremacy? Whites are under assault more and more each day. Heck, the only Whites allowed to into the USA under our disastrous immigration policies have to identify as "brown" or "Hispanic" so please tell me where this supremacy is getting me.

    1. ROLCON

You spent 5 years whining about white people at Pirate's Cove, Jeffery.

    2. I don't even know what Pirate's Cove is you moron.

  4. Scott is a squish. He's not MAGA.

Reid is a bigot. But she's a Demonrat so what do you expect?

    That is all.

    1. No, Jeffery, there's the fact you're a troll.

Don't know that much about Scott (some good, some bad), but if you don't like him, he has to have something worthwhile.

    2. Get off my leg, Jeffrey, you fraud.

Oh, and you may want to see my replies to you in the other thread. I wrecked you there and proved yet again that you're full of only three things: yourself, hot air, and sh*t.

You don't know me, my name, or anything about me. I've never even heard of you until I was attacked by you repeatedly on this blog for being one of the voices in your head.

      Choke on a dick, scumbag.

    3. Oh, and politically I have a perfect track record of being right in my predictions. You are also perfect--at being wrong. Hence your jealous ravings directed at me (and others) in order to gaslight and divert attention from your epic incompetence and galactic stupidity.

      So it goes.

    4. Have to correct you BJ... Ed the idiot did get correct that Trump is still our president. Or something 😳
      He's clearly unhinged

    5. Please show me how Trump is still our President. I'll wait.

He's not our President or you wouldn't be a Demonrat fit of pique away from losing your republic.

Pull your head out of your ass. We have a nation to save, sir.

    6. (If I misread you I apologize in advance, TO.)

    7. Senator Scott failed to reject the "certified" electoral college votes. But he is 100 times better thank Lindsey Graham (who also failed to reject the EC Votes)
Tim Scott is a proven conservative and I wholly supported him until this failure. I will have to see who runs against him in the next primary before I decide how to move forward.

  5. A tip of the hat to Tim Scott's PR team coming up with a nice catch phrase.

Even so, he is not presidential material. Every Republican Senator effectively blew up their chances for the highest office based on their conduct during the election fraud certification (Josh Hawley offering token resistance).

If any MAGA person begins to even like any republican senator, please remember that no Republican senator allowed Trump to have any recess appointments his entire presidency. It took one senator to call the recess.

They sold us out when they had power to do anything (recess appointments, Obamacare, Section 230, etc). Now they holler at us from the outrage train.

    1. Not every, but you judge each on what he did or did not do.

    2. Well, we can judge you, Edweenie on being an off-the-chart level moron. You've got the market on political ineptitude locked up.

  6. "The elitists want to divide us by race,..."
    I'm doubtful it's even that.

    Cancelling cartoon characters?
I think they're doing this just to see if they can so they can puff up their chests and feel important.
And the pettier the canceled target, the more they puff and preen.

Ahhh, poor Pepe. He came from a mixed family, you know. He had black and white parents.

  7. I am a huge fan of Tim Scott.

I'm surprised at the negativity here. Nobody is perfect and everyone makes mistakes. Scott has shown himself to have great judgment overall.

For example, I am impressed that he got bi-partisan support for the common-sense conservative plan of Opportunity Zones -- tax incentives for businesses to invest in bad neighborhoods.

Scott has a great sense of humor and a tough skin.
He had a marvelous comeback on twitter a few years ago when some idiot called him a house n-word (and they spelled it out) and Scott retweeted the idiot with a one-word quote tweet:

The Woke Supremacy is a book by Evan Sayet; maybe Scott (or his communications team) read it recently. The subtitle is An Anti-Socialist Manifesto. It's a good book, Sayet doesn't just coin a good term, he makes a strong argument that the woke movement is in fact a supremacy. It's a great concept, and I'm glad to see it being used.

And I think it's brilliant to put that term next to white supremacy. Scott is not agreeing with the left that white supremacy is a threat, he is using their own alleged standards against them. He is saying to the Left: if you think it's bad to say that only one group of people counts, well, look at yourselves, because that's what you're doing, you're acting like only your group counts. It's not okay for any group to act as if it is superior to the rest of us.

Thank you for highlighting this, Don, I look forward to more coverage of Tim Scott. I think he is a breath of fresh air and a force for good.

  8. When in history have the censors and book-banners turned out to be the good guys?

    1. Possibly the ones who blocked the distribution of pornography. It certainly distracted me from reality and I imagine it has harmed countless other men and women and children.

  9. " Learning for Justice, an outgrowth of the undeservedly well-regarded Southern Poverty Law Center, cited the report as evidence that it had misjudged The Sneetches, a Seuss story about a group of birds—some with stars on their bellies, some without—who eventually come to realize that their superficial physical differences don't matter at all."

It's just not reasonable to expect a group of adults from the Left to read children's books and actually understand them.

    1. The Southern Poverty Law Center has nothing to do with either poverty or law.

  10. Replies
    1. Your new normal is the same as your old normal, Jeffrey: full of crap.

  11. May every Republican who wants to gain cheap points with liberals see and understand how their new friends will turn on them.

What!? Republicans understand!? That's crazy talk.

  12. I’m of two minds on this. On one hand white supremacy as the left talks about barely exists. The joke among law enforcement was that there are 1500 members of the klan and half of them are undercover FBI agents. There’s even fewer nazis.

So equating the huge organization of cancel culture with the microscopic culture of white supremacy is absurd and misleading.

On the other mind I say white supremacy really does exist, throughout history. White excellence has given us the colosseums, the Eiffel Tower, aqueducts, the republic, democracy, shipbuilding, flight, etc. That white supremacy has greatly enhanced human experiences.

  13. Big difference is that the woke outnumber the supremacists. White or whatever color.
