Government experts do not know what they are doing

Ashli Babbitt was an Air Force veteran who stormed the Capitol on January 6. The overwhelmed Capitol Police panicked. An officer shot and killed her in the only violent death that day.

It was the first act of the post-President Trump regime.

A media that spent all summer bestowing sainthood on a man who died from a drug overdose has stoically ignored Babbitt's tragic death at the hands of a police officer. Between the metro police, the Capitol Police, and the assorted law enforcement arms of various government agencies, Washington has the highest number of cops per capita in the nation.

Nevertheless, Congress dragged in 25,000 Guardsmen from across the nation to protect buildings from imaginary attacks by right-wing boogie men.

None dared call it crazy but it is, was, and always will be crazy.

But crazy is the norm in Washington.

They don't know what they are doing, but rare is the politician or member of the media who will call them out.

Tony Fauci totally blew the pandemic. He knew not what he was doing. He is by training an immunologist, which should have helped in bringing a vaccine. He had nothing to do with the vaccine because the reality is he is a medical bureaucrat whose one achievement in 30-plus years in Washington is plumping up his agency's budget 10-fold.

He schmoozes. And because he schmoozes he knew he had to trip Donald Trump at every turn because the Washington Establishment hates Donald Trump. Fauci served his purpose. The press worshipped him. And covid 19 continues its stranglehold on our civil rights.

These people don't know what they are doing. They tell us to wear masks, but once the cameras shut down, Fauci takes his off. They told us to social distance by 6 feet. Now they tell us schoolchildren need to be separated by only 3 feet. Apparently the virus obeys school speed zones and slows down around children, just as the virus apparently sleeps during the day and comes out only at 10 PM when the curfew begins.

All this advice was based on zero scientific studies.

Covid 19 was a PR disaster for President Trump thanks in large part to the press playing up the leadership of Cuomo in New York. Everyone knew at the time that shoving covid 19 patients into nursing homes was a disaster, but nevertheless Cuomo put them in the homes.

President Trump meanwhile let the states run the states while he worked on a vaccine. Experts pooh-poohed his Operation Warp Speed. NBC said: "Fact check: Coronavirus vaccine could come this year, Trump says. Experts say he needs a 'miracle' to be right."

But President Trump was no expert, and he delivered not one but two miracles by year's end with a third vaccine winning approval a month or so later.

When it comes to foreign policy, no president has been this successful since Reagan. You will recall, experts predicted his calling the Soviet Union an Evil Empire would lead to World War 3.

10 days after Trump's inauguration, Brookings posted, "Why moving the U.S. embassy to Jerusalem would be dangerous and unwise."

President Trump moved the embassy to Jerusalem anyway. Five Muslim countries reacted by finally recognizing modern Israel's right to exist 72 years after its founding.

Then there was his North Korea policy. Experts said, "Donald Trump ‘Little Rocket Man’ insult WILL push North Korea and Kim Jong to World War 3."

While Trump was unable to disarm North Korea, he at least gave it a shot.

Then there was his pulling our troops out of Syria. Experts said, "US ending support for Kurds in Syria will lead to genocide."

In 2019, experts explained, "Why World War 3 could happen in 2019 – threats from North Korea, Syria and Putin are worse than during the Cold War."

In May, President Trump gave Mexico an ultimatum. Either protect our border or pay a tariff. Experts said, "A trade war with Mexico is more serious — and more political — than you might think."

Mexico cooperated. Oddly enough, reports show Chairman Xiden's administration is now begging for Mexican aid in the new border crisis.

But a new regime is in charge. It is the old regime. The deep state won. Its corps of unappointed and unelected experts will run things now, just as they did under Obama. Occasionally they will have a success or two.

But more often than not, they will stumble from failure to failure like Biden trying to run up the stairs to board Air Force One.

This week they went to Alaska and got chewed out by Red China's foreign policy team. And why not? Red China knows us better than we know them. In fact, Red China knows us better than we do.

The people we put in charge sense that they don't know what they are doing, or at least that their colleagues don't. Robert Gates, who served as defense secretary for the Obama administration, wrote in his book that Biden has been wrong on nearly every major foreign policy matter.

Nevertheless, Gates voted for Biden, not Trump.

Glenn Reynolds wrote, "Officials like Fauci have undermined trust in government institutions."

He observed, "When you manipulate people, they notice, and they trust you less. Do better."

The American people are tolerant and patient. They will put up with a crooked mayor or governor, as long as the crook gets the job done.

Washington has failed to get the job done for decades. I look at the country and see it peaked in 1988 and again in 2019, with a whole lotta ruin in between. Washington has too much power and too little competence. A bunch of people enter the Capitol and the first thing the Capitol Police do is start shooting people.

Ashli Babbitt is dead, as is our faith in this government. The only difference is that unlike Babbitt, that faith in government deserved to die.

  5. finally recognizing modern Israel's right to exist

Shh let's forget about the Palestinian right to exist they don't count do they.

    1. No, they don't count because Palestine is fiction.

If the Middle Yeast (sic) truly cared about "Palestinians" [beyond use as a foil to use against Israel] then they have plenty of places to carve out a homeland for them.

    2. "Palestine is fiction" Gee I guess the Bible is wrong after all! Thanks for alerting me to that.

    4. Gee wonder what God thinks of Israel?

"For long ago I broke your yoke and burst your bonds; but you said, 'I will not serve.' Yes, on every high hill and under every green tree you bowed down like a whore.

Gee I wonder what Christ thought about Israel?

Jesus said to them, "Have you never read in the Scriptures: "'The stone that the builders rejected has become the cornerstone; this was the Lord's doing, and it is marvelous in our eyes'?

Therefore I tell you, the kingdom of God will be taken away from you and given to a people producing its fruits.

And the one who falls on this stone will be broken to pieces; and when it falls on anyone, it will crush him."

So the Jews had him crucified and then went after every single apostle.

Who cares what Christ said say the neo-cons! Israel is God's chosen race!

Not as though the word of God hath taken none effect. For they are not all Israel, which are of Israel:

Neither, because they are the seed of Abraham, are they all children: but, In Isaac shall thy seed be called.

That is, They which are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God: but the children of the promise are counted for the seed.

Never mind Israel must be preserved until Armegeddon arrives! Any day now.

    6. TL:DR

Brevity is the soul of wit. A few facts wouldn't hurt you either.

I'm a Texan born in the Rio Grande Valley. I'm a Texan and an American. I am not a Valleyite and have no claim to a two-state solution to become one. See "Palestine" for a parallel.

    7. Oh, and Scripture [particularly where the Law and the Prophets are concerned] is not history. It's parable and prophecy. Israel, et al. represent far higher spiritual realities than the carnality you cite. Besides, you mouth-breathing leftist nutcases don't believe in the Bible any more than you do the Constitution so please don't try using either to buttress your silly arguments. You beclown yourself.

    8. As I recall my history (which I studied before the Islamist-loving Communists took over our public education system), the Jews ARE the (original) Palestinians. It's their land. They finally got it back. The people who claim to be Palestinians today were once Jews and Christians who were forcibly converted by Moose Limbs.

  6. Gee what about Syria's right to exist? Do they count?

Israel has repeatedly attacked Iran in Syria since 2018, with over a thousand raids claimed by Tel Aviv through its military and political leaders.

Gee is that part of their right to exist? Being able to attack sovereign nations at will?

Moreover, last week, Israel announced that it had targeted at least twelve Iranian tankers and a ship carrying cargo and sailing in Mediterranean waters towards Syria since 2019. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has said that he will strike Iran anywhere.

Is Bennie trying to part the Red Sea or what?

Gee could Bennie want to spark another war? Doesn't he pray every night for Americans to invade Iran? Isn't that what he really wants?

Then why does he keep saying Iran will have nukes any day now? Gee why isn't Israel a part of the non proliferation treaty for nukes?

Gosh how did Israel get all those nukes anyway? Only AIPAC knows lol.

If that is so, then, because we have 100% proof that Iran's Revolutionary Guards attacked US military in Iraq and caused fatalities, we should view that as a attack on the sovereign USA.....and nuke Iran to molten glass

Not the only violent act. Don't forget Rosanne Boyland, Benjamin Phillips, and Kevin Greeson.

The "officer"'s name is David Bailey and he allowed Steve Scalise to get shot.

And, yes, from that shot, it's clear she was trying to get out, not in. Fake News, of course, wanted everybody to think she was trying to get in.

  9. In DC, "expertise" is based on credentials - rather than experience with things (with or without credentials). DC "expertise" basically consists of "I have degrees! I'm an expert! Now here's what I think and just accept it because I have degrees and I am an expert!"

There is case law that states that "expert opinion" that is not backed up with appropriate supporting analysis should be given little weight; even if that doesn't apply literally, it's a good guideline to use when being told to do things based on the opinions of "experts."

(And as I've mentioned before, too often "expertise" in DC means a master's degree from Georgetown. It's strange to deal with people in meetings who claim to be an "expert" on some country or region because they got a master's degree on the topic from Georgetown... but they've never been to the country and don't speak a word of the language.)

The way you do science is to start by writing down what you do know and don't know about a situation. None of these "experts" did that - but doing that a year or so ago would have gotten you quickly to what turned out to be the right answers.

And as I mentioned this morning, the "case numbers" are decreasingly actually tallies of real cases - the "case numbers" are being generated by mystery algorithms.

    1. I believe it is called "appeal to authority" or "argument from authority," a well known and often used logical fallacy: if the experts say it's true, it must be true. The less educated and capable the person, the more the opinions of experts matter. Though how in the name of all that's Holy anyone would fall for that after 2020 is a mystery. Perhaps an expert could answer that.

  10. I am still not sure what to make of Ashli Babbit's death. Everything about the videos I've watched points to a completely staged event with activists and most likely actors. They used ear pieces, hand signals and the things they said seemed scripted and unnatural. There was almost no blood, they never even removed the flag wrapped around her neck to check the extent of her injuries. The self proclaimed medic did nothing to assist her. She was declared dead several times, but clearly wasn't. No one, including the cops behaved they way people normally do when a gun has been fired. Where are the stories about her family, did she get full military honors funeral. Something just doesn't add up. If Ashli really was a Trump supporting 14 year military veteran who was coaxed into entering the capitol by left wing agitators then they are the most despicable, vile and evil people who literally led an innocent woman to slaughter.
