Mitch McConnell's unnecessary attacks on President Emeritus Donald John Trump divert attention from the Senate Republican leader's failings. For 4+ years, McConnell has failed to make Democrats suffer any consequences for such things as using the FBI to spy on Obama's political enemies, and Biden's withholding of a billion bucks in foreign aid to stop the prosecution of his son's employer.
Instead, McConnell thrice allowed Democrats to put an innocent President Trump through the wringer.
The first time was the Mueller witch hunt. McConnell should have told then-Attorney General Jeff Sessions to stop this nonsense and fire the idiot who appointed a special counsel.
There were no consequences for Democrats for this witch hunt. Expect more, especially as Democrats have the power of U.S. attorneys.
Likewise, McConnell should have had Republicans refuse to accept the first impeachment as insufficient and failing to meet the Constitution's requisites for an impeachment.
To be sure, McConnell did try to block the second one. But he was outnumbered, and his post-impeachment attack on President Trump showed that McConnell's failed attempt to block the trial was just for show.
There were no consequences for Democrats for this witch hunt. Expect more impeachments because of this. Already, Democrats have threatened two Republican senators (Hawley and Cruz) with expulsion for saying things that Democrats do not want said.
When you impeach a president for holding a rally, what should Republicans expect? Republican blood is in the water, and Democrats are circling.
McConnell should have called Obama into the Senate to explain his role in Spygate. Biden and Susan Rice also participated. They should have been subpoenaed and asked questions that would have been answered in nothing but Fifth Amendment pleas.
But McConnell showed zero interest in reining in the FBI and holding Obama accountable.
There were no consequences for Democrats, so I expect the McConnell home is bugged by the FBI.
Then there are the nursing home deaths. In the first two months of covid deaths, 45% were in nursing homes and assisted living facilities, according to Gateway Pundit.
McConnell showed no interest in hauling governors in and asking them why they put covid 19 patients in nursing homes.
There were no consequences.
Meanwhile, our President Emeritus's Operation Warpspeed led to the development of not one but two vaccines by year's end. The media said it would take a miracle to get one.
What did McConnell do?
Did he thank Donald Trump?
No.
That S-O-B from Kentucky dumped on Donald Trump.
The message is clear. Help America -- make her great again -- and Mitch McConnell will make you pay.
McConnell's wife's family are wealthy Chinese, so having a great America isn't his goal.
ReplyDeleteBingo. We've been betrayed from within.
Delete"We The People"
DeleteIs it really betrayal when they do it in front of everyone to see? More like we betrayed ourselves.
DeleteOnly correction: hopefully Trump knows he was led down the WRONG path to come up with a vaccine that would do more harm than good. That HCQ and other cheap pills would have done the trick. One can only hope he knows all this. Do NOT get the ‘vaccine’ folks. Reject this at all costs. Standforhealthfreedom.com/CDC-investigation

DeleteOld Mitch was a worthless POS when I lived in KY back in the mid-80's. He has certainly not improved with age. I suspect he's getting his marching orders from his Chinese overlords.
ReplyDeleteMoney talks, as usual. Too bad we can't bribe these creeps to represent us for a change.
DeleteMitch was Harry Reid's little bitch and now he is Chuck's little bitch. If it looks like a duck, walks like a duck and quacks like a duck, it's...........
DeleteBeautiful. And his famous appointment of judges...something that basically was handed to him. He no hero.
ReplyDeleteBluegrass vs. Eastern Kentucky.
ReplyDeleteAnd no retaliation for how the Democrats slow walked confirmations for Trump as “the resistance”, Mitch allowed it. And the gop senate is business as usual for Biden confirmations.
ReplyDeleteAnd allowed zero recess appointments
And allowed Democratic Senators to refuse hearings on court district judges in their state.
McConnell is a Swamp Turtle.
ReplyDeleteIf Trump has a single fatal flaw, it is a vindictive streak a mile wide, and a mile deep. McConnell is just the most recent target. Trump has left a trail of unnecessary enemies who, had they been handled differently, might have been supportive enough to put him over the top in the 2020 election, or at least gotten some of the obvious red flags publicly investigated. I voted for him twice, am appalled at the current administration, and my greatest disappointment with DJT is that he wasn't able to play the came for our benefit.
ReplyDeleteTrump made America great despite the hate. No president could have done what Trump did with resistance from both parties.
DeleteTrump was not elected to make nice with these people. He was a bull in a China shop and he achieved the goal of outing the DC insider game that McConnell helps maintain. I don't care that he didn't get along with these snakes.
DeleteIt wouldn’t have mattered how PDJT would have treated Cocaine Mitch, he was a threat to the swamp and the threat must be dealt with.
DeleteLike a hippo lazing in the mud and mire with only his snout and eyes showing, Cocaine Mitch is one happy swamp critter.
Actually, he was too nice.
DeleteTreg, Trump's flaw is trying to make nice with snakes like McConnell. There is no loyalty among thieves and after decades of dealing with N.Y. politicians he should know that by now.
DeleteMAGA does not care about "vindictiveness" when the China-loving RINOs and Dems are literally destroying not only America but the entire rest of the world. DJT could have done MUCH more to his enemies but he wanted to stay strictly within his constitutional powers - something virtually no one else in power here ever does. He also needed to SHOW America just who and what our enemies are, and the fact that some of the very worst are "Republican" is the rancid icing on top of a crap cake.
DeleteI part with Sundance and Bannon on the 3rd party thing - I'm 100% in favor of it and will join one if a viable one shows up. I've already been a longtime Dem then a longtime R. I don't want to be either ever again. But I'll always vote for Trump or a legitimate Trump surrogate. No one else.
McConnell is given way too much credit for Trump's judicial nominees getting confirmed. There could have been much more if he hadn't moved at a turtle's pace.
ReplyDeleteYes. Anyone else would have done at least as well--if not better.
Delete#DitchMitch is just the Assistant General Manager of the Uniparty Kabuki Theater. Some of us have known this for decades and the rest should have figured it out after he undermined the TEA Party movement some years back.
ReplyDeleteNo, you wanted him gone when he was ramming Conservative judges through the Senate, Jeffery.
DeleteAnd you hated the Tea Party, too.
(Insert eyeroll)
DeleteMore gaslighting from the stupidest commenter on this blog.
Btw, we don't need ideologically conservative judges--need Constitutionalists. McConnell played the game knowing full well that the Supremes will keep the charade going no matter what he did with confirmations.
Did we get a single Scalia or Thomas? Hell no we didn't.
It's a farce, only you're too stupid to see it.
Now get off my leg, putz.
Donald John Trump is still our president.
ReplyDeleteNo Emeritus about it. Emeritus means retired, not that his job was stolen.
As to Cocaine Mitch, he had his shot. He chose to kneel before his real president, Shi Jing Ping.
Keep that in mind. It may come in handy very soon.
Please show me where Trump is our President. I'll wait.
DeleteSMH. What a sh*thead you are.

ReplyDeleteThey don't care about that stuff. It's all about graft. That's why they deposed Trump.
ReplyDeleteMitch will be resigning by the end of summer
ReplyDeleteThat arrogant pig can’t take the public hate coming
It will bury him
He and his family will not be allowed in public
Mitch
That’s WHAT happens when you and your ungrateful China ho Rob 100 million Americans
Kentucky is done with a lying creep like you
Your Political future is over
Now get out
We will maxine waters you
We will treat you like you treated us
Hope you're right. McConnell Quislinged so well, he deserves a seat on the FOX-Quisling network.
ReplyDeleteMcConnell wife's family is no small thing. What he did and what he failed to do shows his true loyalties.
ReplyDeletePresident Trump was good, but he has a long history of problems chosing good people to work with him. He wants to be nice and give them a chance.
He's been in politics 34 years and he and his commie wife are "worth" $34million. Some came from insider knowledge investments--legal only for US Senators and Reps--and lots (millions) came directly from the Chinese Communist Party. A hundred fifty years ago, this Treason, would have got him hung with a rope. Today he's re-elected "leader" by the treasonous (R)s in the Senate.
ReplyDeleteBetween Paul Ryan, Mitch McConnell and the Dubocraps, President Trump didn't have much of a chance.
