Highlights of the News

Trump's lawyer told Congress, "The president will not testify in an unconstitutional proceeding."

Good luck getting CNN to cover the impeachment without Donald John Trump on stage.

ITEM 1: Citizen Free Press reported, "The House approved a resolution Thursday that removes Marjorie Taylor Greene from her assigned committees."

Well, that frees up her time.

The story said, "The final vote tally was 230-199 and 11 Republicans voted in support of the resolution: Reps. Adam Kinzinger of Illinois, Brian Fitzpatrick of Pennsylvania, John Katko of New York, Nicole Malliotakis of New York, Fred Upton of Michigan, Carlos Gimenez of Florida, Chris Jacobs of New York, Young Kim of California, Maria Salazar of Florida, Chris Smith of New Jersey and Mario Diaz Balart of Florida."

Primary them all.

Young Kim is a real disappointment.

What is Congress afraid of?

ITEM 2: Just the News reported, "Former President Trump, in a letter to the president of the Screen Actors Guild - American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA), said that he was resigning from the union."

They wanted him out.

It is an affront to free speech to require performers to belong to this union or be blackballed from TV and films.

ITEM 3: The Associated Press reported, "The global consulting firm McKinsey & Company agreed to pay nearly $600 million for its role in advising businesses on how to sell more prescription opioid painkillers amid a nationwide overdose crisis."

47 states and DC will divvy the money up.

The story also said, "Washington’s attorney general announced a separate $13.5 million deal and West Virginia announced a $10 million settlement with the New York-based company.

"West Virginia Attorney General Patrick Morrisey said the state went with their own lawsuit to avoid the potential of only receiving a measly settlement tied to the population of the state, one of the hardest hit by overdoses. He said he aimed to work with state lawmakers to direct the money toward addiction recovery."

Good job.

That's triple what the state would have received. Still, this is a pittance. Given how much harder the state was hit, it should get half the money -- and the settlement should be much larger.

ITEM 4: Fox reported, "President Biden Thursday revived an old claim that he’d once been 'shot at' overseas.

" 'You have great personal courage. I’ve been with some of you when we’ve been shot at,' Biden told a group of diplomatic aides at the State Department. He didn’t offer details about when he’d been shot at."

Is he saying Corn Pop had a gun?

ITEM 5: The Daily Wire reported, "Biden Administration Will Use ‘Semi-Permanent, Soft-Sided’ Structures To House Migrant Children. Trump Was Blasted For ‘Tent Cities.’ "

This follows CNN calling putting children in cages an "overflow facility."

You do realize that if we put up a wall, we would not have these problems.

ITEM 6: The New York Post reported, "If the Chiefs need another fourth-quarter comeback to win Super Bowl LV, they will have to do it without the teammate who saved the day last year.

"Patrick Mahomes was named MVP and remains front-and-center this week, but there’s been barely a mention of running back Damien Williams, who scored two touchdowns in the final three minutes of Super Bowl LIV to turn a late three-point deficit into a 31-20 victory."

The story also said, "Williams exercised the player option to opt out of the 2020 season due to COVID-19. He revealed his mother was diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer."

Williams told Sirius XM in July, "I never had the opportunity to have my dad there. My mom is my rock. My everything. So during a hard time like this, I should be next to her every step."

God bless him and his mom.

ITEM 7: Fox reported, "U.S. Border Patrol agents arrested 11 Iranian citizens after they crossed the U.S.-Mexico border in Arizona Monday evening."

But Democrats assured us it was a myth that terrorists were using the Mexican border to get here.

ITEM 8: NBC reported, "The Biden White House is considering sending masks directly to American households, according to three people familiar with the discussions, an action the Trump administration explored but scrapped."

Some big donor must be stuck with a billion masks because there is no mask shortage in the USA. None.

What Americans could use is ammo. Lots and lots of ammo. There is an ammo shortage. How about sending a few thousand rounds to every legal gun owner in America?

ITEM 9: Michael Tracey tweeted, "Congress has turned into some kind of bizarre public psychotherapy session where elected officials compete amongst one another for who can exhibit the most overbearing narcissistic personality disorder.

"AOC is on the floor of the House saying that anyone who questions the claims of 'survivors' -- because everyone in Congress is apparently a 'survivor' now -- is guilty of exacerbating the 'trauma' of ALL 'survivors' everywhere in the country. Again, this is insanely manipulative.

"Pelosi gave AOC a special 60-minute order to allow 'space' for members of Congress to publicly express their emotions and 'lived experience' on the floor of the House. That is what's occurring right now.

"Rep. Dean Phillips is tearfully apologizing to AOC for previously failing to recognize his privilege. This is the business of the House of Representatives right now.

"Rep. Mark Takano condemns those who have sought to 'gaslight' AOC and others who claim they underwent trauma.

"Rashida Tlaib is bawling on the floor of the House. She can't even get through a sentence. This is a group therapy session (taxpayer funded and televised).

" 'Everybody's experiences must be validated,' says Cori Bush. Sorry, you are no longer allowed to 'invalidate' the 'experiences' of politicians -- that's 'harm.'

"AOC's voice is quivering as she concludes this bizarre group therapy session. She has successfully imported the language of self-confessional therapeutic moralism into the House, with full support from Dem Leadership. Gotta give her credit for achieving her objectives!"

If only they cared half as much about the real victims of real riots in Minneapolis and elsewhere this summer and fall.

ITEM 10: Then there is this.

I remember when companies used advertising to sell products. Now they use it to kiss up to our communist masters.

ITEM 11: NBC reported, "Parkland school shooting survivor and gun control advocate David Hogg plans to launch his own pillow company with the goal of competing against embattled bedding company MyPillow.

"The idea was posed to Hogg, 20, in a tweet from entrepreneur William LeGate on Thursday that questioned whether the duo should start a pillow company to 'put MyPillow out of business.'

"The CEO and founder of MyPillow, Mike Lindell, is a vocal supporter of Donald Trump and has repeatedly promoted false claims of fraud about the 2020 presidential election."

NBC repeatedly promoted false claims of Russian collusion about the 2016 presidential election.

The press never asks who funds Bossy Hogg.

ITEM 12: Zero Hedge reported, "Panasonic is quitting the solar panel business.

"The company was formerly a leader in the market but has succumbed to cheap competition out of China, according to Nikkei Asia.

"The company plans on halting manufacturing as soon as March 2022 at its factories in Malaysia and Japan. It'll be a 'complete exit from the solar manufacturing business,' the report says. Panasonic will stay in the power industry by procuring panels from other manufacturers.

"New solar generation this year is expected to rise 10% from the previous year, to 117 million kilowatts. Prices of panels have fallen to about 33% of what they were 10 years ago thanks to increased Chinese production. This increase has put pressure on legacy players, like Panasonic."

You cannot compete against slave labor.

ITEM 13: PJ Media reported, "On Sunday, China’s Shandong Xinchao announced its decision to shell out $420 million to purchase oil-producing acreage from Grenadier Energy in the Texas Permian Basin."

Drop oil prices below $40 a barrel. Then buy America's oil lands.

Red China is doing what we falsely accused Japan of trying to do in the 1980s.

ITEM 14: The New York Post reported, "Democratic state lawmakers keen on raising taxes on higher-income earners to help close the state’s massive, multi-billion dollar deficit have introduced a new bill that would place an extra tax on investments.

"The new legislation — sponsored by Democrats state Sen. Gustavo Rivera (D-The Bronx) and Assemblyman Ron Kim (D-Queens) — would place a new state tax on capital gains in addition to existing federal taxes on investments set between seven and 17 percent depending on income tier.

"The politicians argue the existing federal tax unfairly caters to the rich and they estimate the measure — if approved — could raise up to $7 billion in state revenue annually."

Blue states are hellbent on sending every rich person to Texas and Florida to avoid these incessant taxes.

ITEM 15: Zero Hedge reported, "On Thursday afternoon President Biden gave a much anticipated and wide-ranging speech laying out his foreign policy agenda during a visit to the State Department. As expected much of it was a repudiation of Trump's America First vision - though without mentioning Donald Trump by name. His address to State Department diplomats and staff was centered around the theme of his words: 'America is back. Diplomacy is back at the center of our foreign policy.'

"Alarming for anyone who has called for an end to the vision which sees Washington as essentially acting the like to 'global police force' - which unfortunately became a (disastrous) reality starting in the Bush years and under the neocons, Biden vowed that as commander-in-chief he would 'defend democracy globally.'

"He urged for the US to rebuild 'the muscles of democratic alliances that have atrophied from four years of neglect and abuse.' He emphasized that 'We can't do it alone.' "

Defund the Global Police.

ITEM 16: The New York Post reported, "Former Vice President Mike Pence will be joining the Heritage Foundation as a distinguished visiting fellow, the conservative think tank said Thursday.

"Pence, 61, will advise the influential organization’s experts on public policy issues and 'and ensure Heritage remains the leading conservative voice on solutions to America’s biggest challenges,' the announcement said.

"He will also deliver a series of speeches and write a monthly column for the think tank’s news outlet, The Daily Signal."

This means he was on their payroll all along.

How quickly he went from Race Bannon to Wally Gator.

I know my Hanna-Barbera cartoons.

ITEM 17: Politico reported, "Brussels underestimated how hard it would be for pharmaceutical companies to manufacture coronavirus vaccines on a vast scale — and hurdles are likely to continue, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said."

The Eurocrats screwed up.

Donald Trump's Operation Warp Speed got the job done.

Now we will see how Operation Malarkey screws the distribution up.

ITEM 18: Reuters reported, "Tokyo Governor Yuriko Koike said on Friday the Olympic Games were facing a major issue after the head of the organizing committee made sexist remarks and as criticism of his comments showed no sign of abating.

"Yoshiro Mori, 83, set off a firestorm on social media both at home and abroad this week with comments that women talked too much, remarks made in a meeting with the Japan Olympic Committee  that he later retracted and apologized for but refused to resign over."

8 - if they send me a mask, I will save it for Halloween and put it on a pumpkin.

10 - I think that post will blow up on KFC’s face. The libs will turn the symbolism of fried chicken against them. By the way, I LOVE fried chicken.
