Highlights of the News

Republican Congresswoman Lauren Boebert said, “If the swamp reinstates earmarks for pork-barrel politics, it won’t be long before Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen has to call J.G. Wentworth at 877-CASH-NOW.”

ITEM 1: Zero Hedge reported, "World's Largest Hedge Fund Manager Warns Emerging Tech Stocks In Extreme Bubble."

I realize it is Zero Hedge which peddles doom for a living, but the economy shrank 3.2% last year and the S&P 500 grew by 16%.

There is a disconnect.

There also is a derelict in the Oval Office who is letting the government run the government. The economy is in trouble with a capital T, and that rhymes with D and that stands for depression.

ITEM 2: Paul Bedard reported, "NPR and many of its outlets have been agonizing for years over using mugshots of alleged criminals on their websites. Lulu Garcia-Navarro, host of Weekend Edition Sunday and Up First, said last year, 'It's not a secret, also, that most of these galleries are filled with black and brown faces, which feeds into negative racial stereotypes.' Well, when it’s white faces, NPR seems to have no trouble with posting them, as it did of 124 people charged in the Capitol riots."

Only the facts that push the narrative get reported.

ITEM 3: NBC reported, "The wife of infamous convicted drug lord Joaquin (El Chapo) Guzman was arrested Monday for her alleged role in an international drug trafficking scheme, according to federal prosecutors.

"Emma Coronel Aispuro, a citizen of both Mexico and the U.S., was nabbed at Dulles International Airport outside of Washington, D.C., the Department of Justice said in a press release. The 31-year-old Coronel Aispuro was charged with participating in a conspiracy to distribute cocaine, methamphetamine, heroin and marijuana into the U.S., the DOJ said.

"She also allegedly conspired with others to help El Chapo in his escape from a Mexican prison in July 2015. In that breakout, Guzman broke free via an entry under the shower in his cell to a milelong lighted tunnel with a motorcycle on rails."

If Hillary can carry on her husband's work, why not Mrs. El Chapo?

ITEM 4: Microsoft announced, "A group of influential technology and media companies has partnered to form the Coalition for Content Provenance and Authenticity (C2PA), a Joint Development Foundation project established to address the prevalence of disinformation, misinformation and online content fraud through developing technical standards for certifying the source and history or provenance of media content.  Founding members Adobe, Arm, BBC, Intel, Microsoft and Truepic seek to establish a standardized provenance solution with the goal of combating misleading content."

PC companies promised to smash Big Brother.

They now are Big Brother.

ITEM 5: Bearing Arms reported, "South Carolina gun manufacturer Palmetto State Armory is looking to expand, and has picked a 69,000 square foot facility in Myrtle Beach for a new retail location and gun range. The building was formerly the home of the Sun News newspaper, which moved to a smaller space last year, but soon it will be home to the gun company’s eighth retail location."

A relic of the First Amendment will enable people to enjoy the Second Amendment.

ITEM 6: Axios reported, "In his first post-presidential appearance, Donald Trump plans to send the message next weekend that he is Republicans' 'presumptive 2024 nominee' with a vise grip on the party's base, top Trump allies tell Axios.

"What to watch: A longtime adviser called Trump's speech a 'show of force,' and said the message will be: 'I may not have Twitter or the Oval Office, but I'm still in charge.' Payback is his chief obsession.

"Axios has learned that Trump advisers will meet with him at Mar-a-Lago this week to plan his next political moves, and to set up the machinery for kingmaking in the 2022 midterms."

The Donald is doing publicly what Obama did privately.

I suggest President Emeritus Trump scale it back a little.

A positive and optimistic speech will serve him and his supporters better than settling scores. Publicly settling them. Oh, they will be settled. Just don't let the Romneys know when or how.

ITEM 7: The Supreme Court refused to hear the Pennsylvania election case.

Clarence Thomas channeled Martin Luther King in his dissent.

Justice Thomas wrote, "Few things are worse for public confidence in elections than having the rules changed in the middle of the game (or after it). An epidemic of late-in-the-day changes to the rules was particularly corrosive in 2020. Courts are ill-equipped to referee those changes when partisan tempers are running hot. The Supreme Court just threw away its last opportunity to remedy that problem before the next election cycle. . . . This issue will not go away, and it may return next time surrounded by the same sorts of popular rage that led to the Capitol riot. This was the time for cooler heads to say what the law is."

King said three weeks before his assassination, "It is not enough for me to stand before you tonight and condemn riots. It would be morally irresponsible for me to do that without, at the same time, condemning the contingent, intolerable conditions that exist in our society."

No justice, no peace, as they say.

ITEM 8: ESPN reported, "On a day when the United States women's national team stood -- and didn't kneel -- for the playing of the national anthem, U.S. defender Crystal Dunn said that the players are 'past the protesting phase and actually move into putting all of the talk into actual work.' "

So they protested not for social justice.

It was not for racial equality.

It was not for police reforms.

They protested to elect Chairman Xiden, a 78-year-old demented creep and crook that no soccer player would ever want to be alone with in a room.

The next Republican president will crack the whip on unpatriotic teams and the leagues that allow them to hate our country.

ITEM 9: Coca-Cola tried to explain why it is training its employees to be less white.

I would boycott Coke but I never drink it.

The taste is not white enough for me.

Not even Vanilla Coke.

Now Vernors ginger soda. That has a nice white taste to it. I also like Wonder Bread and Miracle Whip.

ITEM 10: Becker's Hospital Review reported, "COVID-19 case counts have decreased for five consecutive weeks, according to the CDC's COVID Data Tracker Weekly Review published Feb. 19."

The story said, "The U.S. reported 69,165 new COVID-19 cases Feb. 17. This figure marks a significant decline from the all-time peak of 314,093 cases reported Jan. 8 but is still higher than figures seen during the pandemic's first two peaks, according to the CDC.

"The nation's current seven-day case average is 77,385, a 24.5% decline from the previous week's average."

That's the good news. Here's the better news, "The U.S. had administered more than 57.7 million total vaccine doses as of Feb. 18.

"About 41 million people have received at least one dose — representing 12.4% of the U.S. population — and nearly 16.2 million people have gotten both doses, which is about 4.5% of the population."

A half million deaths but the worst appears to be over.

ITEM 11: Politico reported, "Women’s rights activists and allied Democrats are growing increasingly vocal about what they call the unfair targeting of women and people of color nominated by Joe Biden to top posts in his administration."

Talk to the hand, the hands of Clarence Thomas and Amy Barrett.

ITEM 12: The New York Post reported, "President Biden’s administration is cutting in half the number of civics questions for US citizenship applicants and scrapping other Trump administration changes to the quiz.

"The US Citizenship and Immigration Services agency said Monday it will now only ask 10 questions of applicants, rather than 20 under a policy enacted in December."

The cheapening of citizenship continues. They will open the border and keep it open until people start leaving, which is when the Iron Curtain descends, this time with no doors or windows.

ITEM 13: Fox reported, "Former President Trump on Monday slammed the Supreme Court for declining to halt the turnover of his tax records to a New York prosecutor, calling it 'a continuation of the greatest political Witch Hunt in the history of our Country.'

"The court’s action is the apparent culmination of a lengthy legal battle that had already reached the high court once before.

"Trump’s tax records are not supposed to become public as part of prosecutor’s criminal investigation, but the high court’s action is a blow to Trump because he has for so long fought on so many fronts to keep his tax records shielded from view. The ongoing investigation the records are part of could also become an issue for Trump in his life after the presidency. Trump also has called it a fishing expedition."

The next Republican president must investigate Obama, Biden, Hillary, Pelosi, Schumer, and all the rest.

If Romney objects, investigate him too.

ITEM 14: CNN reported, "Singer Stevie Wonder is moving to Ghana. The iconic, award-winning performer spoke to Oprah Winfrey in an interview explaining his decision, citing the political turmoil in the United States."

He was born blind and poor. His net worth now is an estimated $100 million.

ITEM 15: United Press International reported, "An E-8C Joint Surveillance and Target Attack Radar System exercise included a 33-person, all-Black flight crew for the first time, the U.S. Air Force said.

"U.S. Air Force and Army personnel from the Georgia Air National Guard's 116th Air Control Wing, the active-duty 461st Air Control Wing and the Army's 138th Military Intelligence Company, a group known as Team JSTARS, flew from Robins Air Force Base, Ga., on a training mission on Friday."

Truman ordered the military integrated.

Biden is segregating it.

ITEM 16: CNS News reported, "House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D.-Calif.) issued a statement on Monday expressing her sorrow for the reported 500,000 lives that have been lost in this country as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic."

She said, "The loss of 500,000 American lives from the coronavirus is an horrific human toll of staggering proportions and incomprehensible sadness. Every life lost is a profound tragedy that we mourn and that breaks America’s heart."

And yet she supports taking twice as many lives each year through abortion.

FINALLY, hell did not freeze over but Niagara Falls did. Enjoy.

    1. Sounds about right. Keep in mind that all this "diversity" nonsense is actually a weapon that incompetent-but-hereditary elite whites are using to suppress competition from non-elite whites (i.e., "deplorables").

  4. ITEM 6: A positive and optimistic speech will serve him and his supporters better than settling scores.

I’ve never known President Trump to deliver a speech that wasn’t positive and optimistic. I give little merit to an unnamed “longtime adviser” on Axios.

  5. Point of clarification, 500,000 people died WITH Covid, not necessarily OF Covid

    1. I have no, zero, trust in any analysis of who died of what. This is a continuation of charities' claiming the people died from their sponsored disease to get donations because the MEs list all possible contributing factors in a death. The charities and health departments lie, period.

  10. ITEM 15: so if this plane had happened to crash and all aboard died, what would the story have been? Crew was incompetent? (obviously not) Where's the white folks? (h/t to Cleavon Little from Blazing Saddles) Where's the diversity of death? This whole thing is started to peeve me - where were the soldiers of color when we stormed Normandy or Iwo Jima...it was the white guys who were always the tip of the spear during WWII (not the fault of the soldiers of color since their beloved DEM POTUS kept the military segregated, but I'm just sayin' can you imagine if FDR ordered divisions of "colored" troops to be the first ashore every time so absorb the brunt of the enemies first response to invasion? Cannon fodder anyone?)

And, yes, there will be all manner of "mutations", etc, worse than your average mad scientist movie.

The Demos just love making everybody jump when they say. Just like the boy who cried, "Joe".

  15. 1 - There are many reasons why equity prices have to a large degree "decoupled" from the economy. One is that in this (forced by the Fed) low-interest rate environment, there really isn't much in the way of alternatives. Another (that has gotten WAY too little attention) is that the number of shares available has been decreasing due to stock buybacks; with the double-taxation of dividends, a better way to return value to the shareholders is through buybacks... but this is drastically reducing the number of shares available, so supply-and-demand kicks in. And of course if you slosh all sorts of "stimulus" (sic) money around, it's going to go places looking for return (see first point).

9 - Keep in mind that CocaCola as a company owns a very large number of beverage labels - including non-soft-drink beverages; check the labels or do a little research if you want to avoid all CocaCola products.

    9: Now Vernors ginger soda.

    You really are from Cleveland.

10: A half million deaths but the worst appears to be over.

Even CDC has said it's a crock and that only 6% of deaths attributed were actual Shanghai Surprise deaths, so that's 30,000.

One study says it's off by 1600%, which gives us 312. The guys who've gone through the death certs says it between 1/2 and 1/8 of 1%, which 2500 to 625.
That $40 grand per hospital case causes all kinds of inflation.

13: Impeach everybody and start over. It worked last time.

    Eisenhower actually did it.

  17. #13 "If Romney objects, investigate him too."

Romney should have been investigated long ago since his family benefitted from the Ukraine energy company corruption similar to the Bidens. That's why he was so quick in trying to cover for the Bidens when things started heating up before the election.

  18. #14 Someone needs to get Stevie Wonder a copy (audiobook) of Eldridge Cleaver's 1968 autobiographical Soul On Ice. He tried the same "escape to Africa" thing, and explains why he came back to face the rap and do his time in Folsom. Paraphrasing from very old memory: "I discovered that the world is run by gangs, and it only made sense to me to want to be on the side of the biggest gang of all: the US Government."

    10. One way to reduce new cases is test less. Under President Trump two million tests were conducted each day. Under biden, 1.3 million.

  20. Item 4: It seems that such an important function as deciding what information should be published and what should be censored should not be left up to an unaccountable cabal of industrialists. 1. People keep wondering why the Fed printing money isn't leading to inflation. I think because all the money is going to the stock market. It's not visible. Nobody's rolling around wheelbarrows of bills because it's all leger entries. When the market crashes, it will burn much of that excess money. Will that insulate the rest of the economy from the impact? I dunno. I'm just speculating.
