Ted Cruz vacationed in Cancun. (Note to graphics department: I think you have the wrong congressman.)
ITEM 1: The New York Post reported, "President Biden took a snow day Thursday as varying forecasts call for DC to receive between 1 and 4 inches of snow — but Vice President Kamala Harris will be carrying on with scheduled in-person events.
"Biden postponed a trip to Michigan, where he was scheduled to tour a Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine manufacturing facility, and the White House declared an 8 a.m. lid for reporters — meaning no in-person events are expected.
"The president’s trip to Portage, Michigan, was preemptively canceled Wednesday evening before any precipitation fell in Washington."
Each lid brings us closer to replacing him under the 25th Amendment. They are only keeping him on till Hunter collects enough bribes to retire.
Spinquark News said, "Like an octogenarian groundhog, Biden wakes at 8 AM to see an inch of snow and goes back to bed for the day."
This is elder abuse.
ITEM 2: The Blaze reported, "Retired Lt. Gen. Russel Honoré has been leading a review of security measures at the U.S. Capitol at the direction of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) following the Jan. 6 attack on the building by a mob of Trump supporters.
"But recent inflammatory comments made by the 74-year-old retired Army general against Republicans are raising questions about whether he was the right pick for the job."
Tweeting that Senator Josh Hawley is a little piece of shit with a Yale law degree showed whom the real POS is.
I honor Honoré's service but MacArthur was right. Old soldiers should just fade away.
ITEM 3: The Epoch Times reported, "The Biden administration tweaked its position on an upcoming Supreme Court appeal dealing with Arizona’s electoral integrity laws, disavowing the previous administration’s interpretation of anti-discrimination provisions of the Voting Rights Act of 1965.
"Although the Biden administration won’t be presenting oral arguments in the case or updating a friend-of-the-court brief filed by the Trump administration, it signaled to the justices and the public that it’s leaving the door open to adopting a more aggressive interpretation of the statute in the future."
The 1965 act is unconstitutional. States, not the federal government, run the elections. This is the clearest example of using race to advance totalitarianism.
By tweaks, the publication means reverses.
ITEM 4: The Associated Press reported, "South Carolina’s governor on Thursday signed a bill banning most abortions, one of his top priorities since he took office more than four years ago. Planned Parenthood immediately sued, effectively preventing the new law from taking effect."
The abortion mill defends its ability to kill babies for profit.
Fight, Republican Governor Henry McMaster. Fight!
ITEM 5: Zero Hedge reported, "A commission appointed by Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot to identify city statues that perhaps should be removed returned its list of what it called problematic statues. The list includes five of Abraham Lincoln and two of George Washington.
"One, of a Native American, is titled A Signal of Peace, and was dedicated by an owner who said the monument was intended as a permanent symbol of respect for native people.
"Another, directed at antisemitism, bears a quote from a speech George Washington delivered to a Jewish congregation: 'The government of United States, which gives to bigotry no sanction, to persecution no assistance, requires only that they who live under its protection should demean themselves as good citizens, in giving it on all occasions their effectual support.' A bronze plaque placed by the donor reads: 'Symbol of American tolerance and unity and of the cooperation of people of all races and creeds in the building of the United States.' "
Why does Mayor Beetlejuice hate Indians and Jews?
These are not mistakes. This is a deliberate attempt to rewrite American history. Lincoln is especially nettlesome in that he freed the slaves, which undercuts the argument that all white people are irredeemably racist.
By the way, the Buffalo Soldiers have been returned to history's obscurities because how can you blame white people for killing Indians when black soldiers participated in the Indian wars?
ITEM 6: The Department of Justice announced, "A venture capitalist and political fundraiser was sentenced today to 144 months in federal prison for falsifying records to conceal his work as a foreign agent while lobbying high-level U.S. government officials, evading the payment of millions of dollars in taxes, making illegal campaign contributions, and obstructing a federal investigation into the source of donations to a presidential inauguration committee.
"Imaad Shah Zuberi, 50, of Arcadia, California, was sentenced by U.S. District Judge Virginia A. Phillips, who also ordered him to pay $15,705,080 in restitution and a criminal fine of $1.75 million.
"In November 2019, Zuberi pleaded guilty to a three-count information charging him with violating the Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA) by making false statements on a FARA filing, tax evasion, and making illegal campaign contributions. In June 2020, Zuberi pleaded guilty in a separate case to one count of obstruction of justice. His sentence today pertains to both cases."
The announcement did not mention whom he bought off, but Just the News reported, "A major Democratic bundler, who raised large sums for Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton and consorted with Joe Biden, was sentenced to 12 years in prison for what prosecutors said was a mercenary political influence scheme.
"Imaad Zuberi, a Californian businessman was sentenced Thursday for schemes to funnel foreign money into U.S. political campaigns, then take millions of dollars for himself."
He was just one of the many, many bundlers in presidential politics.
ITEM 7: The New York Post reported, "Bob Dole, the 97-year-old former Republican senator and 1996 presidential candidate, announced Thursday that he is battling lung cancer."
One of the greatest men to never be elected president.
Pray for him and his family.
ITEM 8: The Washington Post reported, "Hundreds of helpless cold-stunned sea turtles rescued by Navy pilots and pickup trucks."
Good for them. The big snowstorm has been rough for all creatures great and small in Texas.
Well, in Texas they really don't have small creatures., do they?
ITEM 9: CNN reported, "Six US Capitol Police officers have been suspended with pay, and 29 others have been placed under investigation, for their actions in the January 6 riot, a department spokesman said Thursday."
The story did not say if those suspended included the officer who shot and killed an unarmed Ashli Babbitt. The story did not mention her at all.
Unlike George Floyd, she was actually killed by a police officer.
ITEM 10: Via Free Republic:

Colorado did well in electing her.
ITEM 11: The Associated Press reported, "Dolly Parton is asking Tennessee lawmakers to withdraw a bill that would erect a statue of her on the Capitol grounds in Nashville.
" 'Given all that is going on in the world, I don’t think putting me on a pedestal is appropriate at this time,' Parton said in a statement issued Thursday.
"Democratic Rep. John Mark Windle introduced the bill last month that aims to honor Parton 'for all that she has contributed to this state.' "
Well, keeping it from tipping over would have been a problem.
ITEM 12: The Daily Mail reported, "Nikki Haley was snubbed Wednesday by Donald Trump when she requested a sit-down with the former president at his Mar-a-Lago residence, a source told Politico Thursday.
"Trump and his former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations have not spoken since January 6, when Haley publicly blamed the former president for riling up his supporters before they stormed the Capitol."
She has more brass than a band with 76 trombones and 110 cornets.
ITEM 13: Newsmax reported, "News Corp struck a global news deal with Alphabet Inc's Google, the Rupert Murdoch-controlled media company said on Wednesday, in one of the most extensive deals of its kind with big tech. The companies will develop a subscription platform, share advertising revenue through Google's ad technology services, build out audio journalism and develop video journalism by YouTube.
"The deal comes after years of public feuding between Murdoch and Google."
In the end, there will be one big clump corporation that controls everything. I hope Taco Bell wins the naming rights.
ITEM 14: Populist Press reported, "Democrats have introduced a resolution that would potentially bar President Trump from being buried in the Arlington National Cemetery and prevent federal funds from going to buildings displaying his names for being impeached twice."
Meanwhile, 25 million Americans have no jobs.
ITEM 15: The Daily Mail reported, "Kamala Harris' stepdaughter Ella Emhoff makes her runway debut at New York Fashion Week after signing with IMG Models -- a month after she turned heads at the inauguration."
Well, she is too young to get a book deal. A modeling contract is a good way to bribe the veep without having to put her on a board of directors.
ITEM 16: Just the News reported, "John Paul Mac Isaac has sued Twitter for defamation in connection with the social media giant’s censorship last year of materials gleaned from a laptop that President Joe Biden’s son, Hunter, left at a computer repair shop."
The story also said, "As a result of the unwanted exposure and publicity, Mac Isaac alleged he 'began to receive negative reviews of his business as well as threats to his person and property.' He also had to close his business.
"He alleged that 'Defendant TWITTER acted with malicious intent to harm the Plaintiff by publishing the defamatory statement,' and that 'TWITTER was grossly negligent in doing so.' "
A challenge to Section 230.
I love it.
To quote a younger Gen. Honoré, it sounds like both he and Pelosi are “stuck on stupid.”
ReplyDeleteThey are gorilla glued on stupid.
Delete7 - a man’s man.
ReplyDelete10 - I wish my state’s congressmen had half the balls she does.
11 - LOL!!
12 - feel good story of the day.
14 - bringing us together one resolution at a time.
16 - too bad Lyn Wood is damaged goods and won’t be defending him.
#8 A Texan was visiting Maine. After a few days listening to how everything was bigger, better, and more beautiful in Texas, his hosts decided to have a little fun and put a lobster in his bed.
ReplyDeleteAbout thirty seconds after he turned in, they were treated to a loud scream.
Rushing to the room they found the Texan perched on the headboard staring at the creature. " What in hell is that thing?" He gasped.
"What, don't you have bed bugs in Texas?"
" Oh," replied the Texan, " is that what their babies look like?"
#15 She makes me turn my head, just not in her direction.
ReplyDeleteIf her father had pushed her into volunteering with the Israel Defense Forces, her comrades would have happily given her a makeover that would have left her reasonably attractive.
ReplyDelete# 14. Shh, don’t tell the Democrats that the cemetery is on the grounds of a former slave owner, then they will require him to be buried there.
ReplyDeleteDonald John Trump is still our president.
ReplyDelete1: The first should have been his last. The only reason I think it wasn't is Chlamydia's turned out to be a bigger ass than he is.
2: I honor Honoré's service
Have to disagree. An officer is supposed to be a gentleman.
He's also supposed to be not for sale.
5: By the way, the Buffalo Soldiers have been returned to history's obscurities because how can you blame white people for killing Indians when black soldiers participated in the Indian wars?
The Buffalo Soldiers were some of the best men on the frontier and were so lauded by people such as Frederic Remington (who hated artists who airbrushed (figuratively) "all their race and character") and Teddy Roosevelt.
The Buffalo Soldiers held the TX border together while the rest of the Army was in MT avenging the 7th Cavalry. They rode to the rescue of many an Indian reservation during the Ghost Dance War, and the 24th Infantry and the Negro-Seminole scouts of the 4th Cavalry were the James Bonds of the Mexican border.
6: Birds of a feather (may soon share a cell together).
9: His name is David Bailey and he has a track record.
#8 - I was playing golf with a guy from Texas and a raccoon ran across the cart path "whoa pardner, don't hit that squirrel!" I said "that was a raccoon". He said "our squirrels are that big". A couple of holes later a 170# doe ran across the fairway "whoa pardner, don't hit that dog". I said "no, that was just a deer". He said "dang, our deer are a lot bigger'n that". Next hole had a small pond at the green. There was a large turtle sunning on the bank. He said "whoa now pardner, what's that thing"? I said "oh, it's just a tick"!
ReplyDelete1. They're waiting for the program to turn absolutely everything upside down so Kamaltow (see what I did there? [snicker]) can be brought in as a savior...or at least hopefully appearing better than what she replaces.
ReplyDelete2. Honoré is an old Louisianan. And therefore probably a lifelong Democrat. But as he himself said so famously, "You can't fix stupid."
4. Planned Parenthood. Infanticide for Fun and Profit.
9. The Only Lives That Matter Are Ones Democrats Think They Can Use For Political Gain.
11. No government money for anything that uses the name of a living person. I had issues with the USS Reagan since he was still alive at commissioning. They should have waited until the next ship.
Use the Baseball Hall of Fame rule. Wait five years and see if anybody still remembers them.
12. Brass isn't what I was thinking of her being full of.
14. So the Constitutional prohibition against Bills of Attainder can be bypassed by declaring someone has cooties and then passing laws specifically targeting anyone with cooties. Cool. Didn't know that.
The Left will hate living by the Rules they've created.
15. Well, yeah. Polite people turn their head before they hurl what one Australian wit called, "technicolor yawn."
Most Flag Officers are worthless. Those like Chesty Puller and Robin Olds are exceptions.
ReplyDeleteJohn Boyd, the greatest strategist who ever lived (he makes Sun Tzu look like a newbie) barely made full Colonel and is all but disowned by the Air Force. The Marines revere him.
So, for what it's worth, "To be or to do." That's the choice.
ITEM 16: I thought a copy of the hard drive was provided to Rudy Giuliani as well as one kept by MacIsaac.
ReplyDeleteIf so, why have we not seen more of the contents?
With Biden in the WH, the unreleased content of that laptop has become worth a fortune as well as being a functional keep out of jail free card. Released content is relatively worthless.
DeleteIf I were Giuliani I know how I'd handle it, especially after having been targeted by the left previously.
