Don't blow off AOC

One of the things I try not to do is make the same mistake the other side made. The Establishment blew off Donald John Trump only to watch with jaw agape as he was sworn into office on January 20, 2017.

Let's not blow off Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. You may not see her appeal, but millions of Democrats do. She is the soul of the soulless Democrat Party.

AOC's danger is that unlike Obama, Manchin, and the rest of the 50 and older crowd in the Democrat Party, she does not seek power. She seeks a revolution.

Oh, that does not mean she won't pocket campaign contributions. She sees them as overdue tributes owed by the White Patriarchy that has kept her down for 31 years. Under 50 Democrats view theft as reparations.

As comical as some of her beliefs may be to us, they are very valid to the majority of Democrats. Regulating cow farts is a joke made by conservative skeptics of the global warming concoction. The AOC crowd has no sense of humor. If CO2 must be regulated then so must methane, which means cow farts.

When it comes to her racist and anti-capitalist dogma, AOC is not kidding around.

Her call for a “Trump Accountability Project” is mainstream Democrat thinking because theirs is a religion, and we are all infidels unworthy of any rights. Robert "Third" Reich -- Clinton's labor secretary -- forwarded last month the idea of blacklisting and punishing President Trump's supporters.

PayPal, Google, and most of the rest of corporate America stand at their ready to carry out their orders. Why not? They bought into BLM. None dare cross them.

This will be done regardless of any Supreme Court decision on this bogus election. We know corporations are punishing Trump supporters because this has been going on since the 2018 election when Twitter and the rest caved into leftist demands to censor conservatives.

Do not blow AOC off.

She may be a parrot, but what she says is exactly what college students have been told to believe for decades. The indoctrination is coming to fruition. The anti-American, anti-white, and anti-male rhetoric may be nonsensical to us, but it is embedded in the true believers.

Because they are so self-righteous, anyone who disagrees with them are indeed deplorable subhuman beings who are racist, homophobic, blah, blah, blah.

Whistle past this graveyard at your own peril.

Stephen Kruiser wrote, "The blame assignment among the Democrats for severely under-performing last week has been directed at the young Squad progressives. You know, the loud ones the media fawns over all the time. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and her crew may not have the numbers to be in complete control just yet, but they are definitely louder than anyone in their party.

"The friction between the Squad and the relatively less insane Democrats is growing daily now."

What he calls friction, I call a takeover. Whilst the gerontologic wing of the Democrat Party wants to pin the blame for House losses on the Squad, AOC rightly argues that the ones who lost are moderates.

The losses embolden the AOC crowd because their argument is only they can save their party.

Politico reported, "Rashida Tlaib isn’t apologizing for wanting to yank money away from bad police departments. She has no second thoughts about her embrace of the Black Lives Matter movement, or for wanting to aggressively fight climate change."

Her exact words were, "We're not going to be successful if we're silencing districts like mine. Me not being able to speak on behalf of many of my neighbors right now, many of which are black neighbors, means me being silenced. I can't be silent.

"We are not interested in unity that asks people to sacrifice their freedom and their rights any longer. And if we truly want to unify our country, we have to really respect every single voice. We say that so willingly when we talk about Trump supporters, but we don't say that willingly for my black and brown neighbors and from LGBTQ neighbors or marginalized people."

Take her seriously.

She is playing with racist fire. Her message is clear. Black and brown people are superior to white people.

This is not the Democrat Party's worst nightmare. Democrats believe this rhetoric and the ideas it stands for will propel them to power.

No, this is America's worst nightmare.

Wake the heck up.

  3. Remember she's not talking to us. She's not even talking to America. This is a message for her constituency. She knows, we know its all bull**it. She knows its meant to agitate her base. When she gas lights, she's gas lighting her base, not us. She know this. She has to keep her base hateful, fearful and resentful or they have nothing.

    5. At least with Trump, you don't get the feeling that anyone is pulling the strings. With Biden on down, that's just not so. This is a big moment for America's - and down ballot, the world's - politics.

  5. I keep telling people that AOC is as clever as any demagogue. She could punt Schumer out of his seat next year, minority leader or not, if she feels like it. She's yonug and superficially charming, which is more than can be said for any of the geriatrics leading the Rats.

It's her party. We're just living with it.

  7. I think of AOC as a modern Evita Peron. In an age of social media, she and her handlers are well ahead of the curve compared to their opponents. What is needed is a counter balance that is just as adept at social media as she is.

  8. When I get down these days, I remember that Mr. T still holds the final card: Declassifying anything (everything?) related to everything (anything?) that crossed his desk as President. Don Jr. exhorted him to do just that a couple of days ago. It would be like his Big Fat Farewell Fook You to all the Swamp Slime that have actively or even passively resisted his Presidency. Call it THE ULTIMATE DOXXING. Hell, put the Assange/Snowden stuff out there too. If people like Dubya get unmasked, tough shite.

    1. Dream on! Trump promised to declassify all the JFK files before he was elected. He didn't. He promised to declassify all the FISA docs 2 years ago. He didn't.

Those were fatal errors. OR perhaps he knows the spooks would not follow his orders. As President he has far less power than you think he has.

The bureaucrats and spooks run DC ever since JFK, RFK, and MLK were all removed.

    2. Declassifying only matters if the citizenry cares. It doesn't.

    3. Even if Trump declassified everything he has on the swamp, do you really think the media as it now stands will report on any of it?

    4. He can declassify all he wants. But who gets to release the declassified documents? He does not do the publishing. The swamp has been slow-walking any information release.

  10. Don, I agree with you.

I take AOC and her squad seriously. More than most conservatives and much more than the silly people I know who are moderate/establishment Democrats who think they have everything under control.

Here’s the thing, other than taking “AOC” seriously, you offer no path forward.

I at least point out to every “moderate Democrat” who has not yet shunned me because I am a conservative that the “leadership” of their party are old, increasingly senile, and have at least one foot in the grave, and “their Party” is being taken over by the Far-Left.

Well, I’ll tell you Don. They don’t believe it. THEY don’t take AOC seriously.

  11. Take her serious

How? Where's the beef? What do you want done? When and where? This entire piece is just fear porn without a plan of action to address it.

You offer nothing and you never beat something with nothing.

  12. The ones who need most to take her seriously are the "moderate" Democrats (I used to be one)whom she will sweep into the dustbin. You can tell from the congressional races that voters are not falling for the radical left's message, that the ouster of some of the moderates is a sign that we will not fall for bait and switch, and that what keeps the Squad in power is the ethnic tribalism of their constituents. Take them seriously? Yes. Fear them? No, as they have been overhyped and it's only a matter of time before the media finds somebody else for the spotlight.

  14. The AOC constituency is a horde of weaklings, parasites and imbeciles taking encouragement from her exhortation. See how they remain penned up and protected in their leftist enclaves? 19. I can't find this tweet now, but Scott Adams tweeted something about how a mistake of hers didn't matter because of her persuasiveness. And she upvoted that tweet. In that respect *only*, AOC could be thought of as the Democratic Trump. Mr. Surber is absolutely correct.
