Highlights of the News

Donald John Trump is still our president.

ITEM 1: This was what I was responding to: Mnuchin is in line for the presidency, hence the Secret Service protects him. The law requires Mnuchin and the IRS to keep tax records confidential. CREW is a joke and has been for more than a decade. It remains silent about Obama's unethical use of the FBI to spy on political opponents.

Conservatives have to learn to use the enemy. Before interacting in the media, ask WWPDJTD?

ITEM 2: Forbes reported, "The Campaign Legal Center, a nonpartisan campaign finance watchdog group, filed a complaint with the Federal Elections Commission Tuesday accusing the Trump campaign of laundering $170 million through numerous companies, some with connections to former Trump campaign manager Brad Parscale."

Nonpartisan watchdog in media speak means communist. Nothing is nonpartisan anymore. The campaign paid Parscale's company for services rendered. That is how campaigns work. More diversion of attention from Biden's bribed boy and Biden's dementia.

ITEM 3: The Daily Mail reported, "Governor Bill Richardson is accused of raking in hundreds of thousands in bribes and kickbacks to fund debauched lifestyle including 'sexual services and favors.'

"Bill Richardson has been accused of running a scheme in which he raked in over $100k of dollars in bribes while in office
  • Richardson, 72, served as Governor for New Mexico from January 1, 2003 to December 31, 2010
  • According to a recently unsealed legal complaint obtained by DailyMail.com, Richardson used the money to fund a luxury and debauched lifestyle
  • His lifestyle allegedly included 'sexual services and favors' funded by the scam dubbed the 'Richardson Ring'
  • The lawsuit claims that Governor Richardson was able to place his trusted 'operatives' in state government jobs to cover-up his wrongdoing
  • Richardson, a career politician, was previously accused of having sex with Jeffrey Epstein victim Virginia Roberts when she was underage
  • Roberts named Richardson among several others as men Ghislaine Maxwell told her to have sex with in court documents "
Clinton's Ambassador to the United Nations, as well as the first Hispanic governor of his state, which proves Hispanic Democrats are as crooked as white Democrats.

ITEM 4: USA Today ran a fact check of a Babylon Bee piece, "Fact check: Satirical claim that the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals overturned Ginsburg's death."

USA Today concluded, "Fact check: No guarantee Obama would've replaced Ginsburg with a liberal justice."

Yes, Obama would have appointed Amy Coney Barrett. The media no longer hides its bias or ignorance.

ITEM 5: Via Paul Bedard, Tom Friedman's Dear Diary moment on CNN.

Friedman said, "I think what happened in the last few days is a six-alarm fire. I think it’s DEFCON 5. The president of the United States has told us, 'Either I win the election or I delegitimize the election.' Those are your choices, folks. And he basically is trying to break people’s will to really get people to say, ‘What the heck? He wants it so bad, just give it to him.’ I think this is, this certainly is the most frightening moment in my life. It’s frightening because of him. It’s frightening because he’s backed by a state-owned network.

"And it’s terrifying because the Republican Party has become basically a political brothel that rents itself out by the night to whoever will energize its base, whether it was Sarah Palin or the Tea Party or now, Trump. This is a party that went into its convention with no platform, no platform, and basically just said whatever Trump wants, we want. And if you’re not frightened now, if you are not terrified for what could happen, it’s not we might have a disputed election. It is we are going to have a disputed election, almost certainly, unless Trump wins, in which case I shudder to think what four more years of this would be like."

Friedman's argument against President Trump has all the cogency of a Biden press conference.

UPDATE: A reader pointed out, "DEFCON 5 is peace.  The DEFCON levels get higher-risk, closer to war as they move through DEFCON 4, 3, 2, and 1.  You would think that a correspondent who has spent as much time cover 'wars and rumors of wars' as Friedman would know that."

That is like expecting Krugman to know a little about economics.

ITEM 6: Larry Correia wrote, "No, You Idiots. That’s Not How Taxes Work. – An Accountant’s Guide To Why You Are a Gullible Moron."

It is an entertaining and occasionally vulgar riff on the New York Times expose on Donald Trump's taxes. Sure Correia's an accountant, but you cannot dislike a man who wrote in his biography, "I was raised in El Nido, California. I grew up on a dairy farm, where I received my black belt in the ancient art of Portuguese Shovel Fighting, because nothing motivates a Holstein to move its fat ass into the milk barn like a good shovel on the snout."

The IRS is auditing the president's returns.

In his article, Correia wrote, "On one side CPAs, and the other, hellspawn audit demons, and they’ll argue, and battle, and go to court over what is and is not owed to the government, and then the client will pay what is legally owed plus any applicable fines and penalties (and not a dime more). Both sides of this titanic eternal struggle are far smarter than anyone at the New York Times and they have access to the actual financial data, unlike all the blue check mark idiots on Twitter who are whinging on today about their feelings. Barf."

All I know about accounting is hire a CPA once you get a 1099. Turbo Tax was made for W2s

But I do know enough about journalism to know the New York Times tax story was only half the story, which meant you knew it too because journalism is not difficult to figure out.

Unlike taxes.

Want a second opinion? OK. Journalism attracts some of the dumbest people on Earth.

ITEM 7: Forbes magazine, which bills itself as a capitalist tool, reported, "Yes, Donald Trump Is Still A Billionaire. That Makes His $750 Tax Payment Even More Scandalous."

The only scandal is Forbes lied. He paid $1 million in 2016 and $4.2 million in 2017 -- according to the very Times report cited. The dispute is over tax credits and deductions, including a tax credit to renovate the Old Post Office in DC, which is now Trump International hotel.

The media is showing how accurate and fair it is.

Forbes assigned a reporter full-time to covering the president's businesses. Fine. How about looking into Spygate, Muellergate, and Huntergate?

ITEM 8
: Tonight, Case Tech in Cleveland will host the first presidential debate. A reader said, "I'm not good at debate recommendations, but I'm certain Biden will brag about something where he will say he'll be ready from Day One. I think President Trump's response should be, 'C'mon man, you've been ready from Day One for 48 years, not a lie.'"

He may be ready from Day One, but he will close shop by 10 O'Clock. as another reader pointed out, take the call at 3 in the morning? Biden cannot take the 3 PM call.

And yes, I know it is now Case-Western Reserve University but I am old school. Literally.

ITEM 9: American Greatness reported, "A Biden Campaign operative in Texas is attempting to rig the 2020 election with the help of others in a massive ballot harvesting scheme, according to two private investigators who testified under oath that they have 'video evidence, documentation and witnesses' to prove it. With the help of mass mail-in ballots, the illegal ballot harvesting operation could harvest 700,000 ballots, one Harris County Democrat operative allegedly bragged.

"The investigators — a former FBI agent and former police officer — claim that Biden’s Texas Political Director Dallas Jones and his cohorts have been 'hoarding mail-in and absentee ballots' and ordering operatives to fill them out for people in Harris County illegally, 'including dead people, homeless people, and nursing home residents in the 2020 presidential election,'  Patrick Howley of the National File reported.

"While law enforcement agencies are reportedly investigating these potential crimes, nothing will be done about it until 'well after the November 3, 2020 election' the former FBI agent said.

"Dallas Jones was appointed the Biden campaign’s Texas Political Director in late August."

Democrats plan to cast enough shade on the election through extralegal, and illegal means to deny President Trump the re-election he has earned. The courts and lawyers for the Trump campaign better not allow this theft.

ITEM 10: Via Instapundit, they were so smug and smarmy and smart four years ago. They thought they found a chump who would grease the skids for Hillary.

And the best part is making them cry like the little girls they are.

Squirm, worm.

Never Bet Against Donald Trump.

ITEM 11: Is covid 19 still a thing? Another amnesiac politician screaming, "Do you know who I am?"

ITEM 12: The American press isn't free. It is slavishly devoted to Democrats and their talking points.

I liked Babylon Bee's take on this nonsense, "CNN Reports Amy Coney Barrett Attended Bizarre Ceremony Where She Ate Flesh, Drank Blood Of Jewish Guy. "

ITEM 13: The Daily Mail reported, "Elon Musk has revealed he will not get a corona virus vaccine when they're available because he's 'not at risk' and defends keeping his Tesla factories up and running amid the pandemic.

"The 49-year-old tech giant defended opening up Tesla factories in defiance of lockdowns -- a lengthy saga that has seen him sue Alameda County, launch a profanity-laden rant about how lockdowns are 'unethical' and allegedly fire employees who didn't feel safe enough to return to work."

Somebody is standing up to this tyranny of technocrats.

ITEM 14: The Department of Justice announced, "the Federal Bureau of Investigation released its 2019 edition of Crime in the United States, which showed that violent crime decreased nationwide for the third consecutive year.  After decreases in both 2017 and 2018, the violent crime rate dropped an additional one percent this past year and the property crime rate decreased 4.5%."

Then came the Democrat Summer of Anarchy which turned city upon city into shooting galleries.

President Trump brought peace and prosperity.

Democrats wrecked it.

ITEM 15: NOLA reported, "The father of Ka'Mauri Harrison, the Harvey fourth-grader suspended last week after a teacher saw him move a BB gun out of the way during a virtual lesson, said the national response to the case has been overwhelming, with offers of support from regular people and even the National Rifle Association.

"In the days since news of Harrison's six-day suspension broke, the 9-year-old and his family have been swamped with messages via email and social media, some pledging legal or financial help."

School officials are afraid of a black kid learning how to use a gun.

Fire the racists.

ITEM 16: The State reported, "A Columbia TV news anchor was arrested in South Dakota on Sunday after she was accused of smashing a beer bottle into a man’s head over a political argument, according to Sioux Falls police.

"Kamie Roesler, 28, co-anchors WIS Sunrise, according to the station. She joined WIS-TV in September 2019. Roesler has been charged with aggravated assault. The victim, a 32-year-old man, told police he and Roesler had been arguing about politics leading up to the incident. Roesler and the man knew each other, according to police."

She used to work in South Dakota.

Looks like she used to work in South Carolina, too.

ITEM 17: Metro reported, "A school teacher was forced to stop teaching at a kindergarten as his appearance frightened young pupils.  Sylvain Helaine, 35, whose body, face and tongue are covered in tattoos and who has had the whites of his eyes surgically turned black was asked to switch age groups when a parent complained he gave their three-year-old nightmares.

"He said last year he was teaching at the Docteur Morere Elementary School in Palaiseau, a suburb of Paris, when the parent said their son, who was not taught by Helaine, was scared after seeing him. A couple of months later the school authorities informed him he would no longer teach kindergarten children."

A couple of months later???

ITEM 18: Fox headline: "Wisconsin voters win protection against strict voter ID law."

Up next, Wisconsin drivers win protection against strict driver's license law.

  1. Item 9: This is the consistent answer to the question "Why the hell did they nominate this guy?" Because they thought they could cheat him into the White House. They learned last time not to leave it up to the fatally flawed candidate; to win the presidency, they realized, they would have to cheat so completely they could inaugurate a ham sandwich on January 20th. That Joe's IQ at the best of times is on par with a ham sandwich's is a benefit: put Kamala and members of the Obama team around him to run the country (into the ground), and let him watch his Hogan's Heroes reruns. Bernie wouldn't let them do that, and the rest of the the primary litter were all runts. It had to be Joe, by any means necessary. And just as the high crimes and misdemeanors of the Russia hoax were never supposed to see the light of day under President Shrew, so US AG Kim Foxx would bury any inquiries into how Biden won TX and the other states they are preparing to steal (which is most of them). Today's nightmare is tomorrow's reality.

  3. #18 I've said for years that the best way to get strong voter I.D. laws is to pass a law that says that voters must provide as much proof of identity as is required to purchase a firearm from a licensed dealer.
Then sit back and watch liberals argue that somehow the voter i.d. law is an infringement on the right to vote but the same requirements don't infringe upon 2A rights.

    3. @rbbr- in California they give driver's licenses to illegals, so it wouldn't make any difference if they showed that license.

Now CA is going to all mail-in voting, so none of the illegals, dead people, or cartoon characters (who all vote!) will need to show any ID, ever. It doesn't matter if Republicans show ID, their votes get dropped in the Circular File either by the vote counters or the vote harvesters.

It's a neat system, if you only want cheaters to win!

  6. #6, 7, 8. Tonight's debate will hinge on Wallace's behavior. If the fake tax news is brought up and Hunter's misdeeds are not, Chris will then be exposed for what he is, a liberal Trump hater. I remember how Biden was able to chuckle his way through V.P. debates in 2008 and 2012 and was, pretty much, shielded from moderators. Trump must not lose his temper if Wallace disses him and may have to slip in truths about Sleepy Joe if Wallace refuses to do his job.

    2. Not nervous. Trump is the master of the comeback.None of what Trump did was wrong. He knows it so do the Dems. However Joe and his son Sniffy are another thing. People are aware of the double standard that applies only to Dems. I'm a recovering Realtor.I had several big deals that were for clients seeking to clear taxes so they didn't lose money. Totally legal kept them in business-like Trump. The problem is the tax code.I had to buy an SUV to keep money from being taxed. that was in the 2000's.
part of the code. I don't live that lifestyle any more but I have felt that the whole tax code needs revision-but if the Dems win they will make sure they win we lose. Also Trump operates on the the principla: There is no such thing as bad publicity.
One other thing Joe isn't going to show.-Prediction.

  7. ITEM 4: USA Today ran a fact check of a Babylon Bee piece LOL!!!

ITEM 11: Speaking of Cuomo… I’m betting the subject of this blind item is the mask-less thug himself:
This particular State’s Governor said that it was unsafe for people in his state to attend sporting events. He actually banned fans from the stands.
The local professional football team played a game recently. Since Governor is a football fan, you might think that he watched the game on TV from the comfort of his living room sofa.
    Nope!
He came to the stadium with a group of people to watch the game in person. There was a strict no photos rule. He didn’t want the public to know that he was there.
He might have even wandered into the locker room after the game.
We do not know if this Governor is friends with Nancy, but he certainly does seem to have the same sense of entitlement.
Rules for thee… but not for me!

  9. ITEM 6 - I am a tax accountant with around 50 years of experience. Real estate is treated almost like a capital asset with a few wrinkles. (The one-year holding rule applies to discourage quick-buck property flippers.) Cost basis for purposes of gain or loss on sales is original cost plus improvements plus closing costs of the sale minus accumulated depreciation of the building. In operating real estate as rental properties, annual net income or loss is rental income minus expenses, including depreciation, whose amounts are determined by the tax code. Annual losses are limited to $25,000 for active operators and zero for passive investors. That $25,000 applies as an overall annual limit to owners of more than one rental property. Disallowed losses are deferred and carried over to offset future profits and become allowable in full for the year the property is sold. A special rule applies if a property owner seeks to engage in a "like-kind" exchange, buying a new property immediately upon selling an old, which defers the gain on the sale of the old in exchange for the new property assuming the cost basis of the old with minor adjustments. This may sound complicated, but I am sure that President Trump followed these rules to the letter, or any violations would have been smoked out within weeks of him announcing his candidacy in 2015.

---PDJT is still one of the top U.S. Presidents of American history, however the rabid Media and Press (Digital, etc.)will spin, leak false hyped news, anything under the Sun to prevent his reelection. Like in The Perfect Storm, no matter what Capt. Billy Tyne tried when he entered the tempest, he and his crew's fate was sealed. It just may be after Nov. 3rd, that we supporters will never see his kind again in our lifetimes, but we can be satisfied that we have been witness to the best 2+ term Presidency concentrated in one 4 yr. term, of any President in History of the U.S. ZB

  13. #7 About thirty years ago, Forbes wanted to write a short article about something our attorney did on our behalf that set a legal precedent. So a reporter called me to get more details. At the end of the call, he said another person will call me to confirm that all the information was correct, which happened. When the article went to press, they got it wrong. That's when I finally decided that you can't believe a damned thing you read in the MSM...ever. Even when they try to do a good job, they fail. Imagine having your car repaired by such people.
