Highlights of the News

Good morning. Donald John Trump is still our president.
ITEM 1: The state of the presidential campaign in two tweets.

I noticed a difference in the quality of the vehicles as well.

ITEM 2: Paul Bedard reported, "Liberal Media Scream: Chuck Todd frets the media has lost ‘our power.’"

Bedard's column said, "On Sunday’s Meet The Press, for example, moderator Chuck Todd said that Trump doesn’t 'have shame' when the press calls out his misstatements.

"On the show, guest Jeffrey Goldberg, editor-in-chief of the Atlantic, rued how the media have not figured out how to counter Trump’s supposed deliberate policy of misstatements.

"Todd then said: 'As I’ve said, the only way to understand this is to realize he doesn’t have shame about it. And when we lose our ability to shame a politician, we lose a lot of our power. That’s for sure.'"

Who the heck are these jerks to shame anyone?

On his network alone, Matt Lauer was Biden-ing women, Morning Joe was cheating on his wife with his co-star, and Brian Williams was in a lalaland of boasts and brags of deeds never done.

The media never graced our president with the honeymoon every president deserves. This hurt them, not him.

ITEM 3: Rich Lowry wrote, "Why Trump Is Winning Over Hispanics."

This was mainly an interview with Republican Rick Scott, Florida's former governor who is now one of its senators.

Buried in the piece, Lowry said, "Hawkishness on the border is not, contrary to the conventional wisdom, a showstopper. 'They want the immigration laws enforced,' Scott observes. 'They busted their butt to come here legally, and they believe people ought to do it legally. They know that legal immigration is good for the country. Illegal immigration’s bad for a country.'"

By conventional wisdom, Lowry means DC ignorance.

Never Trumpers and other Democrats no longer mention the wall because they know Donald Trump was right about the wall. Most Americans of all races and ethnicities want the wall.

ITEM 4: I am so tempted to steal her line.
Get thee behind me, Satan.

You too, Biden.

But wait. There's more.

PJ Media reported, "On Sunday, police arrested a man who confessed to starting a brush fire with a Molotov cocktail in Portland. They booked him in Multnomah County Jail. Portland being Portland, the authorities released the suspect that evening. The man then went on to start six more fires before the police arrested him yet again. The cops took him to a hospital for a mental evaluation."

Liberalism is a mental disorder.

ITEM 5: Ace reported, "WokeFL Ratings for Sunday Night Wokeball Plummet 23%, 28% In the Demo."

Sports was one of the few places conservatives and liberals could talk about, agree about, and enjoy one another's company.

The conversion of Colin Kaepernick -- a quarterback whose career was on the wane -- ended that.

Meanwhile, Eliott Ness and The Untouchables made for an enjoyable afternoon of black-and-white television. When Frank Nitti said you're fired, he actually fired shots at you.

ITEM 6: Hispanic support up.

Black support up.
Jewish support up.

But, yes, I totally believe that President Trump will do worse against the guy who finished fifth to Hillary in 2008.

ITEM 7: Just the News reported, "Just eight months after Vice President Joe Biden's son Hunter joined the board of Burisma Holdings, U.S. officials in Kiev developed evidence that the Ukrainian gas company may have paid a $7 million bribe to the local prosecutors investigating the firm for corruption, according to interviews and State Department memos.

"State officials believed the alleged bribe was paid between May and December 2014 and got confirmation from one prosecutor. They argued the bribe amounted to a 'gross miscarriage of justice that undermined months of US assistance' to fight corruption in Ukraine, contemporaneous memos show.

"The concerns were eventually reported to the FBI, although it is not clear whether the allegations were ever investigated more fully, according to current and former U.S. and Ukrainian government officials.

"The anecdote, buried in five-year-old diplomatic files, provides a fresh illustration of the awkward, uncomfortable conflict of interest State officials perceived as they tried to fight pervasive corruption in Ukraine under Joe Biden's leadership while the vice president's son collected large payments as a board member for an energy firm widely viewed as corrupt."

Democrats and the media impeached President Trump for asking Ukraine to investigate this corruption.

Obama left behind a banana republic.

President Trump wants to clean it up.

ITEM 8: The Patch reported, "The Cook County Democratic Party on Monday voted not to endorse the judge who ordered a special prosecutor to investigate how State's Attorney Kim Foxx's office prosecuted charges that actor Jussie Smollett staged a hate crime against himself.

"The Tribune reported Cook County Democrats led by Foxx's former boss, Cook County President Toni Preckwinkle, voted to not endorse Toomin, citing an investigation of his record on overseeing the juvenile justice division, and not the Smollett case."

This is a warning to every other judge not to step out of line.

ITEM 9: The Cleveland Plain Dealer reported, "The Ohio Liquor Control Commission has revoked the liquor license of Akron’s Highland Tavern in connection with three violations of the state’s health orders to curb the spread of the corona virus.

"Highland Tavern, on West Market Street in the city’s Highland Square neighborhood, has also received a fourth citation, for which the commission has not yet held a hearing. The bar’s liquor permit is set to be revoked effective at the close of business on Oct. 2, according to an order issued by the Liquor Control Commission."

Everyone should crowd the bar till its end.

And dump Governor DeWine, Republicans. He has become a power-mad Napoleon.

Mini Kasich.

ITEM 10: The Tribune Review reported, "A federal judge in Pittsburgh on Monday found that orders issued by Gov. Tom Wolf restricting the size of gatherings and closing non-essential businesses to protect against the spread of covid 19 were unconstitutional.

"U.S. District Judge William S. Stickman IV wrote in his 66-page opinion that even though the actions taken in the spring by Wolf and Health Secretary Dr. Rachel Levine were laudable, they violated the First Amendment right to freedom of assembly, and the Due Process and Equal Protection clauses of the 14th Amendment."

Trump appointee.

All the lockdowns now are unconstitutional.

They said two weeks.

It has been six months.

ITEM 11: Best late night comedian in America today.
Remodel Biden's upstairs as the Oval Office. Then on Election Night, tell him he won and let him spend the rest of his life commuting from the basement to the "Oval Office." Let him think he is president.

ITEM 12: All we are saying (thump)
...is give peace a chance.

ITEM 13: President Trump visited California's fires.
Navarro is running against Newsom in the next election.

There is a time to politic and a time to govern. Turn, turn, turn.

ITEM 14: A reader wrote, "By now, most everyone has heard about the two LA County Deputies who were ambushed while sitting in their patrol car. Soon after the reports flooded the airwaves about the shooting, additional reports came in that protestors were blocking the entrance to the hospital and chanting 'we hope they f****** die.'

"But what hasn’t been reported on much is how these two deputies are doing.

"The deputy on the passenger side was shot twice in the face with two rounds traveling through her jaw. Her partner was shot in the forehead and multiple times in his right arm.

"The female deputy, despite being shot twice in the face, was able to radio for help, coordinate a strategic response, remove herself and her partner from the vehicle, find cover, and apply a tourniquet to her partner’s right arm.

"Both deputies are still listed as serious, but stable condition.

"We just want you to think for a minute what you would do in that moment, after being shot in the face, and the type of mindset it takes to be able to react the way that they did. To use your effort and strength to drag someone else to safety and render aid to them, while you are also fighting for your life.

"These are the men and women in uniform, and these are the reasons that they’re so unique and pivotal to being the first responders to emergency situations."
Wow.

It is like an episode from Hill Srtreet Blues, only it is not a TV show.

The Los Angeles Sheriff's Department is a home of the brave.

ITEM 15: Let me explain this fight.
Nevada's Democrat governor is a DeWine. President Trump picked this fight because it signals to the rest of a covid 19-weary nation that relief is on the way.

The media publicizes his message because the reporters truly believe this will hurt him. They have a winning percentage lower than the 1971 Cleveland Indians.

ITEM 16: Zero Hedge reported, "There's been huge efforts to validate the New York Times bombshell that wasn't — concerning its summer reporting that Russia secretly offered bounties to the Taliban to kill US troops in Afghanistan.

"Two months ago the Pentagon vowed to get to the bottom of it, launching a review of all intelligence and sources which might provide corroboration. And now at the end of that investigation Gen. Frank McKenzie, commander of the U.S. Central Command overseeing the war in Afghanistan, says the detailed investigation found no corroboration of the story."

Until the Times is penalized by expulsion from the White House or a multi-million-dollar libel judgment or both, this BS will continue to flow from the Times.

ITEM 17: The National Pulse reported, "The Department of Homeland Security moved to ban imports from Chinese companies using forced labor from Uyghurs interned by the Chinese Communist Party."

We banned slavery in 1865.

Any American company that uses slave labor should be prosecuted.

ITEM 18: Sputnik International reported, "A US air defense system has reportedly shot down several missiles near the US embassy in Baghdad, Iraq, early on Tuesday morning.

"According to a correspondent with the Amman-based Al-Hadath news agency, at least 3 missiles were shot down by air defenses over the US embassy in the Green Zone, a fortified area of central Baghdad."

The New York Times and Washington Post were too busy churning out lies to bother with the news.

ITEM 19: 5-D chess? No.
Tic. Tac. Toe.

ITEM 20: Fox reported, "Los Angeles County Sheriff Alex Villanueva on Monday challenged NBA star LeBron James to match and double the reward money being offered for information on the gunman who ambushed and shot two deputies over the weekend.

"Speaking with KABC Radio on the John Phillips Show, Villanueva said the reward money reached $175,000 -- a combination of donations of $100,000 from the county and $75,000 from two private individuals.

"'This challenge is to Lebron James. I want you to match that and double that reward,' Villanueva said. 'I know you care about law enforcement. You expressed a very interesting statement about your perspective on race relations and on officer-involved shootings and the impact that it has on the African-American community.

"'And I appreciated that,' he continued. 'But likewise, we need to appreciate that respect for life goes across all professions.'"

LBJ wants a political career. This is a no-brainer that would cost him  mere $175,000 and would mark him as a man who is serious about police reform without wanting to kill cops.

    1. Exactly. When the enemedia stopped telling the truth, when they turned a blind eye to negative stories about Dems while searching frantically for negative stories about Repubs they lost their power.

  4. 16. "Until the Times is penalized by expulsion from the White House or a multi-million-dollar libel judgment or both, this BS will continue to flow from the Times."

Don, the NYT covered up soviet mass murders. They've always been cover for marxists ALWAYS. Please explain to me how the center/right ever read the NYT's. How deep was your denial that you continued to support a paper of note who makes a note to cover for communists? It's little things like that which added up to the communist revolution we are currently living through. The state of the US is only a surprise to some, the rest of us saw this BS coming from 2008's fundamental transformation speech...

    1. Many of us on the right saw this coming after 1996 when James Dobson stated that, after worthless Willie's exploits became common knowledge, that we would get the government we deserve.
We gave him a second term. In so doing we said that GOD's law did not matter. Billy Jeff embraced the homosexual, bisexual, buy sexual and all the perverse sexual community.
Looking back we see that it was far worse than we'd imagined yet the far left continue to defend him and now attempt to emulate him as films like cooties push this to the main of our consciousness.
We now have a monster biding for high office who will make the Clinton's seem lovable.
When Israel had sunk to this level, GOD sent them into captivity. What will he do to us?

  5. Harry S. Truman, March 12, 1947, address to joint session of Congress:

“At the present moment in world history nearly every nation must choose between alternative ways of life. The choice is too often not a free one.

One way of life is based upon the will of the majority, and is distinguished by free institutions, representative government, free elections, guarantees of individual liberty, freedom of speech and religion, and freedom from political oppression.

The second way of life is based upon the will of a minority forcibly imposed upon the majority. It relies upon terror and oppression, A CONTROLLED PRESS AND RADIO (emphasis mine), fixed elections, and the suppression of personal freedoms.”

Whatever happened to THAT Democrat Party? Get back to where you once belonged, you fooking Commies.

    2. Yep Harry T. was the kind of Dem you didn't have to worry about the fall of the republic
when he was in office. Kennedy was the last. But as the years went by they became more proactive to kill the US.. From merely incompetent (Carte) outright trying to chnage the country to the worse and helping out enemies. (Zero)

  7. Years and years and years ago, I believed that Hispanic immigration was good for this country because historically immigrants have been zealots for the American way of life. Whether they are escaping poverty, oppression, corruption, or persecution, they find here in America more than their dreams could have foretold. Recent years of rampant ILLEGAL immigration (read: invasion) battered my beliefs into submission. Tens of millions of people who violate our most basic laws (of citizenship) only move on to serial lawlessness and disrespect for the American way of life. Who would have guessed that the man who spoke the truth about that betrayal of sovereignty (when he said Mexico wasn't "sending us its best"), has rekindled the original pride in LEGAL immigration? Is there nothing this man can't do?

    1. This is a demonstration of Giuliano's "broken window" theory. Crossing the border illegally is the broken window. If that is not enforced it leads to breaking other laws with impunity.

    2. Exactly right-Mexicans are a part of the American west Some weren't even mexican but land Grant Spanish. The people the Dems want are the criminally inclined the Welfare mothers, etc. who become dependent on the Dem party. the better life they seek is freebies from the government. The Ones who come here to work and get on are the ones who are voting Trump and the are more than the Dems think.

    3. Spot on Jim!!! And that is why the Democrats will get away with election fraud. When we ignore and let them get away with outright sedition with spying on and trying to Frame Trump administration, the horrible injustice pertaining to General Flynn, the 'peaceful protests' RIOTS we clearly see but are told not to believe our lying eyes. If those things can't be prosecuted to fullest extent, then why should we expect anything different with blatant voter fraud to steal this election and have Marxist Rule until we shoot our way out of it.

    7. After the election President Trump should purge every leftover from the obama regime. Before the election he should purge the cdc who determined they will continue with the critical race theory training disregarding the President's orders.

    19. biden says if he's elected he will stop the virus, stop forest fires, stop floods and stop hurricanes. I am not sure I believe him. So far, the only thing he's proven he could stop are questions from the press.

  14. Frédéric Bastiat discussed the broken windows theory in the nineteenth century. In economic terms even a broken window is a net loss to the economy because the money that must be spent to repair that window could have added value rather than ameliorating a loss. In social psychology it talks about the social environment and feelings of safety and security. This aspect was developed a little later.

  15. #10) For some reason the 1905 SCOTUS small pox case gets little discussion in the media. The link to the NT Post is a good article on why much of what is being done for Covid-19 is unconstitutional. The requirement by the 1905 decision for strict scrutiny has been ignored.
In American constitutional law, strict scrutiny is the highest and most stringent standard of judicial review, and results in a judge striking down a law unless the government can demonstrate in court that a law or regulation:

    is necessary to a "compelling state interest";
is "narrowly tailored" to achieving this compelling purpose; and
uses the "least restrictive means" to achieve the purpose.

  17. Idea for October Surprise: President Trump should come out squarely in favor of eliminating slavery throughout the entire world.

The most powerful start of this initiative would be Trump signing a Global Emancipation Proclamation, in honor of his Republican forebearer, Abraham Lincoln, and all those currently enslaved around the world.

And then bring sanctions against all companies and countries who promote, protect and profit from slaves.

    Yep, that means the CCP.

Watch the contortions Biden, Harris (she a descendant of slavers) and the CCP minions in the Democrat party have to twist themselves into to defend their patron's slavery!
