Obama panics

Obama failed to extend the same peaceful transition of power to President Donald John Trump that common decency demands. Obama instead used the FBI to spy on Donald Trump (and he still may be, who knows?). Obama also encouraged sedition among civil servants as his staff held classes on resistance, which included slow-walking or even ignoring orders.

For 4 years, Obama did all in his power to harass President Trump as Obama stood athwart history yelling stop.

On Wednesday, Obama took the national stage for the first time since President Trump's inauguration.

He did not look, act, or sound the same. He was old. Gone with his youth was his optimism and his energy, replaced with a desperation to turn the clock back to when he was president with his feet on top of the Resolute Desk laughing at the peasants who elected him.

The seals in the media heard his speech last night and clapped and clapped. There was no fact-checking. There were no caveats of "without evidence" attached to his words. It was 2008 again and they were all 12 years younger.

The speech was over-the-top rhetoric that projected many of the things Obama did upon President Trump. For example, Obama declared that President Trump is using public office for personal gain.

But reality called and left a message. As president, Donald Trump's personal fortune shrank by a billion dollars. Obama's net worth went from zero to $150 million as president.

The tone of Obama's speech was dark and divisive.

Jonathan Chait of New York magazine wrote, "Obama’s Convention Speech Is the First Time I Have Seen Him Scared."

Chait the cheerleader ended his column, "Here is an American president warning that American democracy may not survive his immediate successor. Obama has always maintained a preternatural calm. Throughout his eight years in office, he was gently mocked as a Vulcan, chided for his lack of urgency and emotion, always underreacting to the latest developments while everybody else lost their head. This is the first time I have ever seen him express fear."

He just described panic.

Perhaps fear works. But it looks like that because he was unable to generate enough energy from the Biden's political cadaver to carry even Delaware, Obama needed the lightning bolts of fear to animate the monster.

But Matt Palumbo reported a curious thing has happened this week.

He wrote, "Kamala Harris made history last night as the first black woman to accept a VP nomination for either main political party. She also helped make history for President Donald Trump’s poll numbers, which saw a surge thereafter (though to be fair – there was no shortage of speakers who could’ve unintentionally boosted Trump!)

"In the Rasmussen Poll, President Trump’s approval stood at 47% yesterday – but made an incredible four percentage point leap this morning to 51%. When I reached out to Rasmussen to confirm that the sampling for today’s poll wasn’t taken before the DNC began to air, they said the polling data was being accumulated as the DNC speeches were ongoing. In other words, it is likely that some people were being directly influenced by the DNC – albeit not in favor of any Democrats.

"Obama also spoke last night and blasted Trump for not taking the presidency seriously – but Obama’s approval was two percentage points lower than Trump’s was at this exact same point in their respective presidencies."

Hmm.

In 2008, Obama offered hope and change to America. That worked. We shall see if he can scare the same voters he disappointed as president into electing the vice president he passed over in 2016.

To keep Roland focused, and to stop him from bringing up non sequiturs (and boy, does the idiot need to focus), do you Roland, dispute the above quote from Surber? Don has presented many posts proving the above, so don't ask for any. You'll have to go back and research them yourself.

And further, if you don't, give proof, not just your statement of beliefs, to back why you don't.

    1. My bad. In the last paragraph of the challenge to Roland, I meant:

And further, if do dispute Don's statement, give proof, not just your statement of beliefs, to back up why you don't.

I wouldn't want Roland to get more confused than it already is.

    2. Roland, your claim that Obama didn't lead in the spying on the Trump campaign is laughable. Give it another try with something that is a bit more truthful instead of a rank lie.

    3. Like a little child, Roland can't pay attention.

You were specifically challenged to back up your post if you dispute Don's statement, NOT post your feelings.

So, prove Obumbles didn't spy on Trump, you idiot. Psst. The evidence exists he and his administration did. Even your precious loony NY Times admits it. So, it's on YOU to back up your statement with actual facts. Otherwise, you need to STFU and go away.

    4. Roland, you are stalling, because you know you can't disprove a positive: Obumbles spied on Trump.

Hey Roland, I told you where you can find evidence: in Surber's past posts. He links or points out articles with the evidence. There is no thinking involved. But, you didn't bother yourself to even look. Because you are afraid to find out the horrible things your Black Jesus did. You just want to point fingers at those whose ideology is different from you, without doing the work to back up your stupid nonsense. You've come here, and lied over and over, because I've caught you on 4 just today, and now, you are working on your 5th.

Roland, this is not the blog for you. You can't just come here and make unbacked accusations. And you can't call for evidence when you were specifically told where to look for the evidence that you called for. The posters here should not have to do your work for you.

You should leave this blog Roland. Hopefully, Surber does his blog a favor, and bans you, because you don't come here with honest, or good intentions, and you don't provide anything of value. You come here to troll.

  2. A caller on Plante’s show this morning confirmed Mr. Chait’s read. Fearful. Guilty eyes. Chris speculated it might have been because of Clinesmith’s open-and-shut plea earlier in the day. Methinks that’s too simple. See Psalm 55 for more details. God loves this country and WILL punish the wicked, in His time. And that time may just be NOW.

  3. I believe Trump needs to contact Putin to straighten out matters such as these people. He seems to get quite close to people like these traitors.

    1. It is said that Barr will not prosecute Obama or Biden. However, he can have them designated as unindicted co-conspirators, same as Nixon. That will stick if any of the supporting cast gets convicted.

I agree Trump should get a 3rd term b/c Obama and his criminal dems cheated Trump out of the first one....

    2. Gibson's right!

Don Surber provides a well-written article that contains a lot of nuggets worth discussion; but trolls add nothing to the discussion & distract everyone.

Not for the first time, I wish there was a "block poster" gadget available; not to limit discussion, but to more easily get past all the crap thrown against the wall which has nothing to do with the article. It always seems to come from the same illmannered trolls, and I'd sure like not to see them anymore!

  10. I don't think Obama is afraid for any legal reasons, but for the people the progressives owe for their attempted power grab. A LOT of global strings had to be pulled, a lot of promises had to be made. If the progressives are kept out of the White House again, the piper will come a callin. You thought Hillary was talking about the DOJ when she said "they'll have all our necks in a noose?"

  12. For "New-Movie Star Trek fans," Chait should have concluded his NY Magazine piece with Obama needing to ape (no racial snowflake panic!, see: https://dailythemedcrosswordanswers.com/imitate-or-ape-someone-say/) Spock by admitting he is 'emotionally compromised,' and step away from any future public speaking.
