Highlights of the News

Donald John Trump is still our president.

ITEM 1: Just the News reported, "The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention cites numerous adverse events such as intentional self-harm, drownings and exposure to earthquakes as contributing factors in over 4,000 of its recorded covid 19 deaths.

"In the CDC's weekly provisional death counts for covid 19, the agency attributes just over 145,378 total deaths to the virus in the U.S. through Aug. 8. Of those, 4,401 — about 3% — are listed as involving 'intentional and unintentional injury, poisoning and other adverse events.'"

Only the government would list an earthquake death as covid 19.

ITEM 2: But I was told moving the embassy to Jerusalem would inflame the Arabs.
Good work by the Jewish son-in-law as peace breaks out. Red China and neocons hardest hit. Oh, and he told reporters, "There is a good chance that another country could make a deal with Israel in the coming days."

Is that you, House of Saud?

CNN reacted bitterly.
How dare Hitler Orange Man call people names!

Bringing peace to the Middle East AND owning the libs at the same time. That's my president.

ITEM 3: As part of its celebration of peace breaking out, Instapundit ran a graphic of presidents and their wars.

President Trump had none. The last president to start no war was Ford. Before that, Nixon. It was not that they did not engage the wars they inherited, it is they did not start any.

Since Nixon-Ford we have had:

Carter (South Zaire), Reagan (Lebanon, Grenada, and Libya), Bush 41 (Panama, Somalia, Bosnia, and the Gulf War), Clinton (Haiti, Kosovo, Sudan, and Afghanistan), Bush 43 (Afghanistan, Iraq, Pakistan, and Somalia), and Obama (Libya, Uganda, Iraq, Yemen, and Syria).

President Trump has not started a war.

Yes, I get that we must fight wars, but why in Zaire? Why Uganda? Why Yemen?

ITEM 4: Axios reported, "Bob Woodward's new book details letters between Trump and Kim Jong-un."

Ah, the FBI and CIA fight back with their favorite reporter.

Woodward has redefined investigative journalism as repeating whatever the spooks tell him. Remember, Deep Throat was the man Nixon passed over to succeed J. Edgar Hoover.

The friends and family of the Deep Staters profit from nation building, which requires wars, not peace.

But I am so glad that these Obamaholes are doing this. Yes, bring up how President Trump tried to get Kim to give up his nukes. That'll show voters what a Hitler Donald Trump is.

ITEM 5: Politico reported, "Democrats and black voters broadly approve of Harris' elevation, as do a plurality of independents."

Plurality.

That means less than half.

A dozen years ago, CBS reported, "The presidential race between Barack Obama and John McCain is now even at 42 percent, according to a new CBS News poll conducted Monday-Wednesday of this week. Twelve percent are undecided according to the poll, and one percent said they wouldn't vote.

"This is in contrast to a poll conducted last weekend, where the Obama-Biden ticket led McCain-Palin by eight points, 48% to 40%."

Did you see any 8-point bounce with Kamala (pronounced COMMA-la)?

Me neither.

ITEM 6: The Associated Press reported, "Tribune Publishing Company, which owns some of the most storied newspapers in American journalism, said Wednesday that it is closing the newsrooms at five of them, including New York’s Daily News and The Capital Gazette in Annapolis, Maryland."

This a covid 19 move as people work from home. Of course, newspapers are goners but that is not what intrigued me about the story.

This did: "The Daily News, once the newspaper with the largest circulation in the country, has been in financial trouble for years and was sold to The Tribune Publishing Company for $1 in 2017 by New York real estate developer and media mogul Mortimer B. Zuckerman. The new owner cut the newsroom staff in half.

"Its offices at 4 New York Plaza in Manhattan will be formally closed as of Wednesday and staff will be given until Oct. 30 to retrieve personal items, a human resources executive at The Daily News said in a letter to employees obtained by the Associated Press."

Big city newspapers are abandoning big cities. That empties more prime real estate in places where BLM and Antifa have driven people out.

Covid 19 sped up the movement to work from home. BLM/Antifa sped up the flight from the cities. I would not wish a mayorship on my worst enemy.

ITEM 7: MSN reported, "NOW members told The Daily Beast they were shocked when BJ Star, a current board member, identified herself as Asian-American in campaign materials. Star, born Barbara Bencsik, had never identified herself as such in previous campaigns, and lists herself as white in voter registrations dating back to 1984. Multiple members said Star had not identified herself as a woman of color in past conversations about race or attended special meetings designed for women of color in NOW.

"Despite this, Star’s bio on the candidates’ website now states that she intends to build NOW’s diversity membership as an Asian-American."

This shows there is no such thing as white privilege. If there were, Oprah would declare herself white.

ITEM 8: Kyle Smith fact-checked COMMA-la, who blamed our president for the economic collapse.

Smith wrote, "False. The pandemic and its associated lockdowns, not the president, are responsible for the economic contraction. Donald Trump is not the president of the euro zone, which suffered through an even more dire economic contraction in the second quarter: minus 40.3%, on an annualized basis, as against minus 32.9% in the US. The U.K. suffered a contraction of 59.8%, also on an annualized basis. Donald Trump is not the prime minister of the United Kingdom. The U.S. economy did slightly better than Germany’s in the second quarter. And it’s questionable to compare the current crisis to the Great Depression, which was not only deep but lasted more than a decade. The U.S. added 1.8 million jobs in July and Goldman Sachs predicts 25% (annualized) GDP growth in the current third quarter, which would mark an end to the U.S. recession after two quarters."

COMMA-la forgot the first rule of politics: Your lies must be plausible.

She's being Hillary II instead of Bill II. Which one became president?

ITEM 9: National Review reported, "A two-year long Justice Department investigation has found that Yale University illegally discriminated against Asian American and white applicants in violation of federal civil rights law.

"In a letter to the college’s attorneys Thursday, the department said that Yale 'rejects scores of Asian American and white applicants each year based on their race, whom it otherwise would admit.'

"'Yale’s race discrimination imposes undue and unlawful penalties on racially-disfavored applicants, including in particular Asian American and White applicants,' Assistant Attorney General Eric Dreiband, the head of the department’s civil rights division, wrote.

"The investigation found that Asian American and white students have 'only one-tenth to one-fourth of the likelihood of admission as African American applicants with comparable academic credentials,' the Justice Department said."

The Ivy League has always had quotas because the fear is the brainy Asian-Americans (and earlier, Jews) would show up the legacy and donor class students.

ITEM 10: Marina Medvin reported, "Officer Garrett Rolfe was maliciously charged with murder and ten other counts in June by then-District Attorney Paul Howard. Last night, Howard was unseated by a tenacious young woman who worked under Howard for 16 years. Fani Willis won in a landslide with 73% of the vote.

"If you recall, Paul Howard is a slimy DA who embraced the media frenzy surrounding Rayshard Brooks' death. Howard conducted a theatrical press conference announcing criminal charges before the Georgia Bureau of Investigation completed an investigation of the shooting. He then audaciously used images from the shooting in his re-election campaign advertisements."

This was the Wendy's case where a drunk Brooks slept in his car in the drive-through lane. Police tried to talk some sense into the man for 40 minutes. Then he bolted.

Atlanta is 51% black and 41% white. Paul Howard was the first black DA there. Soon Fani Willis will be the second.

ITEM 11: The Guardian reported, "Michelle Obama opens up about menopause."

Silence is golden.

With the $100 million in loot she has post-presidency, she can affiord it.

ITEM 12: Truth and Action reported, "Kamala Harris: 'We have to have' a 'Mandatory Gun Buyback Program.'"

The press calls her a moderate.

Since when is gun confiscation moderate?

ITEM 13: A maskless Biden told reporters, "Every American should be wearing a mask when they’re outside for the next three months at a minimum."

He should be doing a minimum of 5 years in prison for withholding a billion dollars in aid to Ukraine until they ended the investigation of his crooked, coke-addicted son.

ITEM 14: American Wire reported, "Chicago’s famous Magnificent Mile, a major shopping district in the city’s downtown, may be losing some of its longtime tenants. Chicago Alderman Raymond Lopez said the situation in Chicago is pretty sad at this point.

"'We’re seeing a lot of the same mistakes from the end of May being re-performed again following this past weekend’s looting,' Lopez said.

"Lopez says that downtown Chicago has always been a major hub for business and a frequent place to visit by tourists. Now he fears that might no longer be the case.

"'The fear is spreading, the anxiety is spreading and we’re seeing individuals who used to see the downtown areas, like the crown jewel of our city, now wanting to leave, people who live there wanting to re-evaluate their choice in housing options and stores who were just starting to get past the main riots and looting thinking that they may not stay on the Magnificent Mile anymore,' he said."

I am not really sure if he is bragging or complaining.

There was a good reason we once shot looters.

ITEM 15: Just the News reported, "Over a third of all registered voters in America know a friend or family member who privately supports President Donald Trump but who is reluctant to say so in public, according to a new Just the News Daily Poll with Scott Rasmussen."

That's terrible.

Democrats have terrorized people into silence.

ITEM 16: A reader wrote, "This may be too out of your way to post on the blog, but I want you to know about it in any case.  You have a number of commenters and probably many more readers from Oregon.

"Here in SE Oregon, we're reaching a flash point. Some Karen turned our local pharmacy in to OHSA for not enforcing the face diapers and it's been shut down. Prescriptions are available at curbside only. This is the only pharmacy within 90 miles--unless you count Alturas, 50 miles away in another state.

"Our local sheriff won't support unconstitutional mandates, but state regulatory agencies are out of his hands. I've been told there's a GoFundMe in support of the business, but I'll be donating directly to the owner to help with legal fees and keep the business alive.

"Fundraiser by Candace Johnson: Support Howard’s Pharmacy."

No problem.

I have supported Poca Valu-Rite for 30+ years. Eddie's Tires too.

ITEM 17CNBC reported, "Apple supplier Foxconn is ahead of its competitors in diversifying its supply network in order to avoid getting caught up in the U.S.-China dispute, one analyst told CNBC.

"Taiwan’s Foxconn, formally known as Hon Hai Precision Industry, is one of the largest electronics contract manufacturer in the world and this week posted better-than-expected results for the second quarter. It is also the top assembler of Apple’s iPhones."

The story also said, "The company reported a 34% increase in net profit of about 22.9 billion New Taiwan dollars ($778.54 million), driven by its server and computing businesses, according to Reuters. It exceeded analysts’ prediction of 17.95 billion New Taiwan dollars, the report said.

"Foxconn said revenue from key consumer products, mainly smartphones, declined more than 15% from a year ago, as demand for global electronics was hurt by the corona virus pandemic, the news wire said."

That's nice.

Moving the supply chain out of Red China is a start.

Apple should take the next step and divorce its holdings in Red China from the rest of its holdings. It should spin off its operations in Red China in a rebuke of slave labor.

ITEM 18: Bill Barr went on TV last night.
Here is the clip of his appearance.

No excitement without an indictment.

FINALLY, here, have a good cry.

    4. As fans of the TV show "The Good Place" all have been instructed, the given name 'Kamilah' is Arabic and means "Perfect".

Kamilah Al-Jamil of TV was the unloving and unlovable over-achiever who ruined her sister's life on Earth. The sort of rich "person of color" who stacks awards -- winning a Grammy for a record album and then an Emmy/BAFTA for making a documentary film about the making of the album. A high profile painter/artist whose canvases show, for example, only two circles in primary colors on a white background. A person whom the audience is encouraged to believe is a phony while the world -- in the story universe -- hails her as a role model.

And the name is pronounced "kah-MA-la".

  2. 50-0, Big D. “A third”? I had previously estimated the “poll gap” this year as 9 - meaning, a poll that shows Biden up 4 actually means Mr. T is up 5. OK, let’s use that info...the poll gap is actually 33? I’ll be CONSERVATIVE and cut that in half. With a poll gap of 16, ALL BLUE STATES are in play and the battlegrounders are safely red. “It’s all happening!” (Almost Famous)

  7. With respect to item 2, I would like to nominate the Iranian mullahs for the Nobel Peace Prize. Without their financial support for destabilization throughout the Middle East, it is unlikely that this would have occurred.

Let me add that only now has Obama earned the one awarded him. His provision of money to Iran has surely pushed countries like the UAE into the arms of the United States and Israel. (So I guess Biden ain't wholly wrong in taking credit for the Obama administration; of course, their view of peace did not envision leaving the Palestinians behind but what the heck, any port in a storm).

Progressives/Liberal Democrats are the biggest supporters of violent BLM/Antifa policies and tactics, and are also avid manipulators of COVID pandemic panic to foment economic failure in their own jurisdictions. Sane people kniow that Progressive/Liberal policies and tactics always harm the workers they are supposed to help, but the elites seem to be the unintended victims this time.

  11. ITEM 2 - The next Gulf Arab state to sign a peace treaty with Israel is likely Oman, which has had back channel relations for about as long as the UAE. Oman's territory includes the southern shores of the Straits of Hormuz.

Why did Israel suspend its annexation of West Bank territories? Because it is playing the long game of restoration in keeping with Biblical prophesies ranging from Deuteronomy to Zechariah.

ITEM 13- Biden will not go to prison for any of his offenses. It wouldn't take much for even a mediocre defense attorney to convince a court that he is too mentally impaired to stand trial.
