No aid unless Mayor Frey resigns

Rioters and looters damaged more than 1,500 buildings in Minneapolis. The total damages are estimated at $500 million. Democrat Governor Tim Walz of Minnesota wants President Donald John Trump to declare his state a major disaster and have the Federal Emergency Management Agency bail the city out.

This is a manmade disaster.

Check that; it is a politically motivated manmade disaster.

Democrat Mayor Jacob Frey of Minneapolis and the Democrat Antifa wing did this.

Then Antifa forced Frey to make a walk of shame when he failed to give the correct answer when asked to defund the police.

Make any bailout contingent on this punk making another walk of shame out of city hall along with the 12 city councilmen who voted to defund the police.

Oh how tough Frey talked before Antifa shamed him.

The Guardian reported on May 29, "The mayor of Minneapolis has accused Donald Trump of shirking responsibility and chided the president for insulting him on social media at a time of crisis in his city and the country."

Frey said, "Donald Trump knows nothing about the strength of Minneapolis. We are strong as hell. This is a difficult time, yes, but you better be damn sure that we’re going to get through this."

Oh really?

The city is getting through without the post offices, pharmacies, grocery stores and other businesses Antifa destroyed?

The fact is, Frey is a yuppie twit who should not be in charge of his own finances let alone a major league city of 425,403 people.

A month after Frey figuratively flipped the bird at the president, Governor Walz must make amends. In a letter begging for FEMA help, Walz wrote, "The social and economic impacts of this incident will be felt for years if not decades."

The Star-Tribune reported this is "the second-most destructive incident of civil unrest in the nation, according to Walz, following the 1992 riots in Los Angeles.

"Post offices, pharmacies, grocery stores and many small businesses were among the casualties. Walz said state finances are already stretched thin responding to the corona virus pandemic."

Frey is as responsible for this as much as any rioter in the Democrat Antifa club.

He assured the world he had it under control when President Trump pointed out Frey did not. Let Frey walk the plank and leave City Hall. Only then should American taxpayers bail the city out.

  1. Who elected the Mayor and the Supervisors to office? The citizens of Minneapolis did. Let them pay for it.

    1. Hear! Hear! Let the twits who elected that "yuppie twit who should not be in charge of his own finances" pay for THEIR stupidity.

That's the left's plan. Destroy and then make other's pay for the damages. Put a stop to this, and the left will eventually quit. No more bail outs of bad behavior.

    2. The democrats are the ones who started the pandemic to overthrow Trump so they can get their money and power back. Leaked documents reveal the main players in this

  2. Golly gee, I hope I don’t sound like an old white man with an attitude, but the Democrat party turned Minneapolis into the cesspit that it is, currently. A friend of mine in Eden Prairie - a suburb south west of Minneapolis - refers to Minneapolis as “Mogadishu on the Mississippi”. B. Hussein Obama built that.

Let the sub-moronic voters of Minneapolis and Minnesota pay for their own fecal-fest.

  6. No Federal aid Don, resignarion or not. Why should the waitress in Kentucky bail these [people] out? She shouldn't, and neither should anyone else beyond the voters in the city of Minneapolis.

  12. The damage in Minneapolis is not the result of a natural disaster. It's the result of bad leadership and leftist policy.

I don't care if they recall Mayor Frey and elect a different leftist, this doesn't merit Federal funding.

  13. No.
No federal aid for the city. No No Federal aid for the state. Taxpayers in the city and state can pay for the damages they refused to stop.
We do not need to subsidze their stupidity.

  14. Even if the feds paid to fix the damage, who's to say the rioters won't return and burn it down again. Why fill a tub with an open hole in the bottom.

  15. The city should pay. If not able to, the state should pay. If not able to, the federal government should only pay on the condition that statehood be declared a failure and it revert back to territory status (losing its two senators) and only allowed to petition for return to statehood when it pays the fed's back.
This should be the approach for all the fiscally irresponsible states.

  17. Maxwell's indictment is a total scam. Only charged on items from 1994-1997. It is a cover story which will never produce anything of value. This was all put on by the Fat Man Barr in charge of the DOJ. Proving he is an inside man for the Deep State.

  18. The voters of Minneapolis must be responsible for their city's lack of political leadership. Disaster declarations are reserved for NATURAL disasters and not those that occurred due to incompetence. Sorry, but my tax dollars are not going to MN, not if I know my president. Case in point, no Coronavirus relief money for illegal aliens, ever.

  20. And what did the governor do to try to mitigate the damages? Nothing. He provoked more rebellion.

Minneapolis voted for this. Let them pay for it.

  21. They allowed the rioters to destroy. Consequently, they should get no outside aid. As one above said, A Kentucky waitress should not be required to aid them in a self inflicted problem.

Any state that allows such things should be reverted to territorial status and left there.

    1. The only problem with that is many of those responsible will now move and take their stupidity with them.
They will escape and leave the mess.
Since Soros funded this, hand him the bill. Hand a copy to the DNC as well.

  25. Add me to the unseat-the-politicians-there group. Not only do they need to go, but leftover rioters need to be arrested and prosecuted strongly, and when convicted actually be put behind bars.
That sentiment extends to everywhere the riots destroyed things and the politicians withheld law enforcement or punishment.

  26. "Only then should American taxpayers bail the city out." No we shouldn't. The citizens of Minneapolis have been electing rabid left-wingers for decades, and those left-wing politicians have encouraged these militants. Why should we pay for the damage they've done?
