Highlights of the News

July is Patriot Month. Please enjoy this fun rendition of our national anthem by some fun-loving people exercising their Second Amendment rights.

ITEM 1: But at least they didn't get covid 19.
Why did America turn its cities over to thugs and communists?

ITEM 2: The Daily Caller reported, "The Department of Homeland Security, through Immigration and Customs Enforcement, announced Monday that all participants in the Student and Exchange Visitor Program will not be allowed to remain in the country and take a fully-online course load in the fall.

"An ICE press release stated that DHS will not issue new visas for students enrolled or enrolling at schools that have opted not to hold in-person classes in the fall. Any foreign students currently in the U.S. must either return home if they wish to take a full term of online classes or transfer to a school offering in-person classes. Eligible students may remain in the country and take up to three credit hours worth of online classes."

Start by removing all Red Chinese students, please.

ITEM 3: This guy is good.
But if a blogger with a laptop and nothing to go on but press accounts can figure it out, why can't the professional journalists and pundits?

ITEM 4: United Press International reported, "The most popular theory of the moon's origins contends the satellite was formed when a Mars-sized object collided with Earth, vaporizing large portions of Earth's upper crust.

"While Earth's upper crust is poor in metals, new research -- published Wednesday in the journal Earth and Planetary Science Letters -- suggests the moon's subsurface is surprisingly metal-rich, undermining the satellite's proposed origin story.

"'By improving our understanding of how much metal the moon's subsurface actually has, scientists can constrain the ambiguities about how it has formed, how it is evolving and how it is contributing to maintaining habitability on Earth,' lead study author Essam Heggy said in a news release.

"Using data collected by instruments onboard NASA's Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter, researchers were able to identify the chemical composition of the fine dust found at the bottom of lunar craters. Scientists measured higher concentrations of metals, including iron and titanium oxides, than previously estimated."

Wait a second.

The moon was not a bunch of old rocks but rather a possible wonderland of metal?

If so, why did the United States not exploit that when we had the chance 50 years ago?

Not taking advantage of our 50-year jump on the rest of the world is the biggest policy mistake in American history.

ITEM 5Reuters reported, "U.S. services industry activity rebounded sharply in June, almost returning to its pre-covid 19 pandemic levels, but a resurgence in coronavirus cases that has forced some restaurants and bars to close again threatens the emerging recovery.

"The Institute for Supply Management (ISM) said on Monday its non-manufacturing activity index jumped to a reading of 57.1 last month, the highest since February, from 45.4 in May. It has bounced back from a reading of 41.8 in April, which was the lowest since March 2009.

"A reading above 50 indicates growth in the services sector, which accounts for more than two-thirds of U.S. economic activity. Economists polled by Reuters had forecast the index increasing to a reading of 48.9 in June.

"The report followed the ISM's manufacturing survey last week showing factory activity rebounding to a 14-month high in June."

Housing rebounded. Retail rebounded. Construction rebounded. Manufacturing rebounded. Services rebounded. Looks like America rebounded.

No, we are not at February levels. But as those were the highest levels in a half-century, we went at lower levels for decades and did OK.

Thank you, President Donald John Trump, for making America great again -- again.

ITEM 6: This has zero news value.
But I like it.

ITEM 7NBC reported, "The 538 people who cast the actual votes for president in December as part of the Electoral College are not free agents and must vote as the laws of their states direct, the Supreme Court ruled Monday.

"The unanimous decision in the faithless elector case was a defeat for advocates of changing the Electoral College, who hoped a win would force a shift in the method of electing presidents toward a nationwide popular vote. But it was a win for state election officials who feared that empowering rogue electors would cause chaos.

"Writing for the court, Justice Elena Kagan said the Constitution gives states far-reaching authority over choosing presidential electors. That includes the power to set conditions on an elector's appointment, 'that is to say, what the elector must do for the appointment to take effect.'"

For once the justices upheld the Constitution.

ITEM 8: The Daily Caller reported, "White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany had a testy exchange with the White House press corps Monday after several reporters asked about President Donald Trump’s Monday morning comments on NASCAR and the Confederate flag.

"The president criticized NASCAR’s decision to ban the Confederate flag Monday, and also ripped driver Bubba Wallace after an FBI investigation concluded that Wallace was not the victim of a hate crime.

"'I’ve explained to you. This is I guess the fourth attempt, but we’ll try it again,' McEnany told a reporter. 'In aggregate, what [Trump] was pointing out is this rush to judgement to immediately say that there is a hate crime as happened in this case, as happened with Jussie Smollett, as happened with the Covington Catholic boys.'"

Reporters only ask Democrat Party approved questions.

ITEM 9: The Hill reported, "President Trump is expected to refile paperwork this week to rescind the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program that offers protections for thousands of young immigrants, according to multiple people familiar with the planning.

"Trump was initially expected to move to once again rescind the Obama-era program last week, but it was pushed back, according to one source. The exact timing remains in flux, but Trump is now expected to file the paperwork this week.

"White House chief of staff Mark Meadows hinted in an interview with Fox News earlier Monday that the president was readying executive action on immigration issues, though he did not offer specifics."

DACA is an imaginary law created by Obama and 5 liberal justices, not Congress.

Fight this travesty because we need to go back to being a constitutional republic again.

ITEM 10: Breitbart News reported, "Far-left Antifa and Black Lives Matters activists stomped and danced on the United States flag Saturday as part of a Fourth of July protest in front of the White House in Washington, D.C."

Change it to a Rainbow Flag and watch the media go berserk.

ITEM 11: Washington Free Beacon reported, "Media Matters raked in as much as $2 million in corona virus relief loans as the left-wing blog slammed the Trump administration's corona virus response, according to federal records released on Monday.

"Records show that Media Matters, the progressive activist group founded by Clinton loyalist David Brock in 2004, received between $1 million and $2 million from the government’s Paycheck Protection Program. The loan represents a significant portion of the group’s annual income, which was listed as $11 million in 2017, according to tax records. Media Matters is bankrolled by the Democracy Alliance, one of the largest progressive donor groups in the country. The deep-pocketed philanthropy network has steered hundreds of millions of dollars to liberal groups since it was founded in 2005 — and pledged to distribute $100 million in 2020 alone.

"Their million-dollar loan was much larger than the average PPP loan. The average loan size for businesses during the first round of funding that ended in April was $200,000, according to reports. The average for the second round of funding, which ended in late May, was $114,000."

Tax-exempt companies should not get these loans.

ITEM 12: The New York Post reported, "A district court on Monday handed American Indian tribes a major victory – and a defeat for the Trump administration and the oil industry — by ordering that the Dakota Access pipeline be shut down by Aug. 5, according to a report.

"The US District Court for the District of Columbia ruled that a key federal permit for the project fell too far short of National Environmental Policy Act requirements to allow the pipeline to continue operating, Bloomberg News reported.

"Judge James Boasberg’s ruling, which scraps the pivotal permit from the Army Corps of Engineers, requires the pipeline to end its three-year run of delivering oil from North Dakota to an oil hub in Illinois, according to the outlet."

Obama judge.

ITEM 13: WSB-TV reported, "Republican Governor Brian Kemp has signed an executive order declaring a State of Emergency and authorizing the call up of up to 1,000 National Guard troops in Georgia.

"The troops will be deployed as needed to protect state buildings, including the state capitol, the Georgia Department of Public Safety headquarters, the governor’s mansion and the Georgia World Congress Center.

"The goal, according to the governor’s office, is to free up state troopers from those locations so they can help patrol the streets of Atlanta."

The story also said, "The order comes after a violent weekend across the city of Atlanta. 31 people were shot in 11 incidents between Friday and Sunday. 5 people, including an 8-year-old girl, died."

Black Lives Matter protests and riots have killed more black people than police have.

ITEM 14: WCHS reported, "Kanawha County school board members have unanimously voted in favor of changing the name of Stonewall Jackson Middle School in Charleston.

"Monday afternoon’s decision followed strong community reaction on both sides, with some arguing it was time to change the name, breaking any ties to the confederacy and promoting more inclusiveness. Others contended there was no good reason to change the school’s name after decades."

Two other middle schools in Kanawha are named for Civil War heroes, Presidents Hayes and McKinley, who prevailed in the Battle of Kanawha. I don't think their names are in danger as they were on the Union side, but you never know when it comes to the communists. They want to tear down Lincoln's stature.

ITEM 15: First they go after the Jews.

Every single damned time.
I don't want to hear complaints about hate speech ever again.

ITEM 16: Then they go for the black people.

The blood is on the hands of the New Yorkers who re-elected de Blasio.
They knew he was a communist. They voted for this slaughter in the streets.

ITEM 17: Pictures of Ghislaine Maxwell With Celebrities.

Every camera in the world will malfunction for her suicide.

ITEM 18: She wasn't Kung Flu fighting.
Remember, these are city-sponsored demonstrations, not protests. Who was the mayor protesting? The mayor?

FINALLY, a reader sent me this.

I dreamed that I went to Heaven and an angel was showing me around. We walked side-by-side inside a large workroom filled with angels. My angel guide stopped in front of the first section and said,"This is the Receiving Section." Here, all petitions to Hashem said in prayer are received.

I looked around in this area, and it was terribly busy with so many angels sorting out petitions written on voluminous paper sheets and scraps from people all over the world.
Then we moved on down a long corridor until we reached the second section.

The angel then said to me, "This is the Packaging and Delivery Section. Here, the graces and blessings the people asked for are processed and delivered to the living persons who asked for them." I noticed again how busy it was there. There were many angels working hard at that station, since so many blessings had been requested and were being packaged for delivery to Earth.

Finally at the farthest end of the long corridor we stopped at the door of a very small station. To my great surprise, only one angel was seated there idly doing nothing. "This is the Acknowledgment Section," my angel friend quietly admitted to me. He seemed embarrassed. "How is it that there is no work going on here? ' I asked.

"So sad," the angel sighed. "After people receive the blessings that they asked for, very few send back acknowledgments"

"How does one acknowledge Hashem's blessings? " I asked.

"Simple," the angel answered. "Just say, 'Thank you, Hashem.'"

"What blessings should they acknowledge?" I asked.

"If you have food in the refrigerator, clothes on your back, a roof overhead and a place to sleep you are richer than 75% of this world. If you have money in the bank, in your wallet, and spare change in a dish, you are among the top 8% of the world's wealthy. "

"And if you received this on your own computer, you are part of the 1% in the world who has that opportunity."

"If you woke up this morning with more health than illness. You are more blessed than the many who will not even survive this day."

"If you have never experienced the fear in battle, the loneliness of imprisonment, the agony of torture or the pangs of starvation, you are ahead of 700 million people in the world."

"If you can attend a Shul without the fear of harassment, arrest, torture or death you are envied and more blessed than three billion people in the world."

"If your parents are still alive and still married, you are very rare."

"If you can hold your head up and smile, you are not the norm, you're unique to all those in doubt and despair."

OK, what now? How can I start?

If you can read this message, you just received a double blessing in that someone was thinking of you as very special and you are more blessed than over two billion people in the world who cannot read at all.

Have a good day, count your blessings, and if you care to, pass this along to remind everyone else how blessed we all are

ATTN: Acknowledge Dept.

"Thank you Hashem, for giving me the ability to share this message and for giving me so many wonderful people with whom to share it."

If you have read this story this far and are thankful for all that you have been blessed with, how can you not send it on????

I thank Hashem for everything, especially all my family and friends!!!!

  1. The Clintons sure know a lot of folks who died by suicided.

I'm 66 years old and was only of passing acquaintance with two that I know of. And I'm in the software and music businesses and lived in lots of places. I know a lot of people.

That's just a lot of bad luck.

Observant Jews refer to G_D by the Hebrew word Hashem that translates to "The Name", obeying the Commandment not to take His Name in vain.

  4. Item 7- Electors must vote per state law. Am I the only person this scares the crap out of? On its face it seems like a good thing, but considering something like 14 states have passed laws directing electors to vote for the winner of the NATIONAL popular vote, rather than the votes within the state.... This decision will not help with that. In fact it will enforce it. I fear the Electoral College and our Republic are on the way out.

    1. ^^ Yep! A state can set the criteria for how their electors need to cast their vote and it might not have anything to do with how their own state citizens voted. Legend Neal Boortz taught me this decades ago.

  6. Item 12- How come a District judge from DC can rule on a pipeline that never enters that district? If I owned that pipeline I would tell that judge, ok, every drop that runs through DC will be stopped immediately... and then continue with business as usual. Secondly, that pipeline project was probably reviewed by at least 5 agencies full of folks trained and educated on the subject matter, and some judge from far away who knows nothing about it decides its no good? yeah, right.

    1. Neither congress nor the SCOTUS has restricted their power. They just took it and it has not been restricted. Fed court of appeals can only impact their district, but these judges are free to do what they seemly want. Don't expect the Dems to enact a law since now they can shop for a judge to stop Trump. Then Trump has to appeal to the Appeals Court to overrule it.

  7. #16. From NY Daily News: Bill DeBlasio was born William Wilhelm but felt that the Jews in New York wouldn’t like such a German-sounding name so legally changed it to DeBlasio, his mother’s maiden name. Hope his father wasn’t around to see that.
Anyway, when NYC re-elected him I was dumbstruck! How could they not see the damage he was doing to their city? Pretty sure they see it now that the middle class is leaving in droves. Dems don’t care if they rule over ruins - as long as they rule.

Jews + [excessive and illegitimate] guilt=BLM supporters. Jonathan Neumann’s To Heal the World? explains very well how the idea of "tikkun olam, repairing the world" has been distorted by liberal Jews into a basis for supporting movements that are antithetical to actual Torah values. (hat tip to Bookwormroom).
A friend of mine used to run a snack bar at his NYC workplace with a coworker. His coworker donated half the proceeds to the NAACP and my friend gave the other half to the UJA--until he found out that while the NAACP gave only to blacks (which he thought was reasonable) the UJA gave to everyone (which he thought was not).
BTW, this friend worked in the Social Services Dept. (Welfare) of the City of NY. One day one of his clients got upset at him and accused him of being unfair: "Mr. X, you're a RACIST! You wouldn't treat me like this if I were a WOMAN!"

Maybe it had to to with payload. Metals are heavy, and rocket fuel is expensive, probably more than random metals.

OTOH, it could be because of this:

Then he was assassinated; who knows what might've happened had he lived, but his successor & then VP LBJ had no interest in the Moon or outer space exploration.

LBJ was interested in destroying the black family & getting black people on welfare, so that they would be dependent on government; his evil plan worked.

He was quoted as saying, "I'll have those n*ggers voting Democratic for the next 200 years." So far, that's what they have done!

It's not hate speech when they do it. Literally. The definition of hate speech is that it only applies to 'oppresser' groups.
I think there was a Canadian journo a few years back who was charged with hate speech for accurately quoting a Muslim. The Muslim was allowed free speech but quoting him was judged to be promoting hate.
