ITEM 1: The White House announced, "On Monday, the Department of Commerce, as directed by President Donald J. Trump’s Executive Order on Preventing Online Censorship, filed a petition to clarify the scope of Section 230 of the 1996 Communications Decency Act.

"The petition requests that the Federal Communications Commission clarify that Section 230 does not permit social media companies to alter or editorialize users’ speech to escape civil liability.

"The petition also requests that the FCC clarify when an online platform curates content in 'good faith,' and requests transparency requirements on their moderation practices, similar to requirements imposed on broadband service providers under Title I of the Communications Act.

"President Trump will continue to fight back against unfair, un-American, and politically biased censorship of Americans online."

Tech giants were given an exemption 24 years ago in good faith.

They acted in bad faith.

Now they must pay.

ITEM 2: Washington is one big happy family.

They see nothing wrong with spying on any outsider who dares upset their insider game.

The press is part of it.

ITEM 3: ESPN reported, "ESPN investigation finds coaches at NBA China academies complained of player abuse, lack of schooling."

The story said, "American coaches at three NBA training academies in China told league officials their Chinese partners were physically abusing young players and failing to provide schooling, even though commissioner Adam Silver had said that education would be central to the program, according to multiple sources with direct knowledge of the complaints.

"The NBA ran into myriad problems by opening one of the academies in Xinjiang, a police state in western China where more than a million Uighur Muslims are now held in barbed-wire camps. American coaches were frequently harassed and surveilled in Xinjiang, the sources said. One American coach was detained three times without cause; he and others were unable to obtain housing because of their status as foreigners.

"A former league employee compared the atmosphere when he worked in Xinjiang to World War II Germany."

The NBA shut down the academy.

Now the NBA should break its contract with Nike which uses the same Uighur Muslims as slave labor to make its shirts and jerseys.

The Republican Party was founded on abolition in 1854. The party passed the 13th Amendment in 1865. Whoever thought 155 years later American companies would be dealing in slavery.

And yet, here we are.

Republicans need to dust off their anti-slavery platform.

ITEM 4: The Columbus Dispatch reported, "Hydroxychloroquine has been touted by President Donald Trump as a way to treat and prevent the corona virus. But it will now be prohibited as a treatment for covid 19 in Ohio.

"Beginning Thursday, hydroxychloroquine can no longer be used to treat corona virus in Ohio.

"Pharmacies, clinics and other medical institutions will be prohibited from dispensing or selling the drug to treat covid 19, according to new regulations issued by the State of Ohio Board of Pharmacy. It can still be used in clinical trials, said Cameron McNamee, director of policy and communications for the board."

The antimalarial drug is a proven treatment for covid 19. Marijuana is not. Marijuana is still a legal treatment for covid 19 in Ohio.

They should call it what it is. The Board of Voodoo Medicine.

You can bet your boots everyone on that board and its staff will get HCQ if heaven forbid they get covid 19.

ITEM 5: The Brussels Times reported, "Bill Gates, Belgium and a British epidemiologist are being taken to court by hundreds of Belgians who are against all coronavirus regulations and want to get them abolished.

"Around 240 Belgians have joined a group called Viruswaanzin, which translates to ‘viral madness’ in Dutch and was launched by members of the restaurant and hospitality industry, according to their lawyer Michael Verstraeten.

"Verstraeten told The Brussels Times that their aim was to get the Belgian government to revoke all corona virus regulations, which they say trample on their freedoms and have done more harm than good in the current health crisis."

Too bad they are not German. Then I could say the Huns are at the Gates.

But it is a tort. They have standing. Let the discovery begin!

ITEM 6: The Oregonian reported, "Portland Wall of Moms, a group formed in recent weeks and quickly recognized as a staple of nightly downtown protests, was accused publicly Wednesday of anti-blackness by leaders of an existing, black-led community group.

"Wall of Moms, whose members said they aimed to support and protect other Black Lives Matter protesters near the fence in front of the federal courthouse, announced Friday that its white leadership had rescinded their positions to allow women of color to be in charge. New leaders announced Friday include Teressa Raiford, executive director of Don’t Shoot Portland, Demetria Hester and Danialle James.

"But less than a week later, Don’t Shoot Portland took to Instagram to urge people against supporting the Wall of Moms, saying that it was no longer working with the moms group."

"'The lies are finally clear and we are sad but ultimately not surprised that anti-blackness showed its ugly head,' read the post published on Wednesday by Don’t Shoot Portland, a local Black Lives Matter and mutual aid group founded in 2014.

"The Wednesday post alleges that Wall of Moms founder Bev Barnum filed for business registrations without consulting the newly instated black leaders and that the safety of black members at the nightly protests in downtown Portland was overlooked."

There is no ideological difference. The mamas registered as a business. It is all about the Benjamins, isn't it?

Let the cannibalism begin!

ITEM 7: Via Hot Air, the New York Times reported, "Two months after the police killing of George Floyd, the four-block area of South Minneapolis where he gasped his last breaths remains a sacred space, a no-go zone for officers. There is a neatly trimmed garden, anchored by a sculpture of a raised fist. There are colorful murals and the words 'I can’t breathe' painted across the pavement, as well as the names of dozens of other Black people killed by the police.

"At night, though, the space is increasingly a battleground, with shootings and drug overdoses. The area has had an uptick in gun violence similar to what other cities have seen in the wake of protests."

This is the plan.

Democrats want to turn the once pristine city of Minneapolis into Somalia.

If they succeed, Ethiopia will send them food.

ITEM 8: KGO reported, "A 30-foot tall steel sculpture of Sir Francis Drake has been removed by crews near the Larkspur Ferry Terminal in Marin County.

The 30-foot tall steel sculpture was put up next to the terminal in 1990."

Democrats hate America.

They hate our discovery by Europeans, our founding as a nation by Europeans, and our development as the greatest land of all -- largely by Europeans.

ITEM 9: Forbes magazine reported, Red "China has a food problem. To a nation whose leaders are old enough to have been directly impacted by The Great Famine, the seriousness of food shortages cannot be overestimated. [Red] China’s burgeoning population, growing industrial economy, and expanding culture of consumerism are all contributing to a steady rise in demand for agricultural products.

"But agricultural production, lest anyone forget, is subject to the biblical forces of floods, fire, pestilence, and a host of other variables, some of which are right now upsetting [Red] China’s delicate food stability. The world’s most populous nation will certainly not run out of food, but prices are rising and hints of tightening supplies are beginning to appear. Things may get worse before they get better."

How do you say karma in Mandarin?

ITEM 10: The Daily Caller reported, "Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg was the only tech executive at Wednesday’s antitrust hearing who unequivocally said [Red] China is stealing technology from American companies."

Zuckerberg said, "I think it’s well documented that the Chinese government steals technology from American companies."

To be fair to Chairman Xi, in many cases, Apple and the rest give Red China the technology in exchange for slave labor.

ITEM 11: Fox reported, "Kodak has already proven it can fight the pharmaceutical blockage in the U.S. because it has manufactured unregulated key starter materials for several years, Kodak's Executive Chairman and CEO Jim Continenza said Wednesday."

He said, "We’re here to ... help fight the pharmaceutical blockage in the U.S. and the lack of supply. So we’re really here for the right reasons. The answer is not only can we do it, we are already doing it."

The story also said, "Kodak, which is based in Rochester, New York, will receive a $765 million dollar loan under the Defense Production Act to manufacture key starting materials used in medicines and other active pharmaceutical ingredients. Its stock skyrocketed on the news."

I have a fondness for drug companies. My mother worked at a pill factory. Then she moved up in the world and worked at a GE light bulb factory. It was how she escaped a horrific marriage. Sadly, a woman today cannot do that. Both plants are long gone. Red China took over.

ITEM 12: Breitbart Tech reported, "Election Interference: Google Purges Breitbart from Search Results"

The story said, "A few days after the 2016 election, at an internal meeting later leaked to Breitbart News, top Google executives, including Sundar Pichai, Sergey Brin, and Kent Walker, lamented President Trump’s victory, comparing Trump voters to extremists and discussing their desire to make Trump’s election and the populist movement a blip in history.

"True to their word, four years later, Google is deliberately working to interfere with the reelection of Trump in 2020."

Electing Donald Trump only accelerated the inevitable. Google has accumulated a lot of power for little sissies like Brin, Pichai, and Walker. They refuse to restrain themselves. Someone bigger will.

ITEM 13: The Washington Free Beacon reported, "The preamble to the Democratic Party’s draft platform formally honors a list of Native American tribes that resided on the land where its convention is being held — but neglects to acknowledge that many of these groups allied with the British and took up arms against the United States during the War of 1812.

"The first page of the Democratic National Committee document begins by 'acknowledg[ing] that we gather together to state our values on lands that have been stewarded through many centuries by the ancestors and descendants of Tribal Nations,; a reference to the party’s August convention in Milwaukee, Wisconsin."

That war made Andrew Jackson famous. He founded the Democrat Party. He owned slaves.

ITEM 14: WLS reported, "An alleged Chicago gang leader is among 23 individuals facing criminal charges as part of a federal investigation into drug and gun trafficking on the city's South Side.

"The defendants were arrested Tuesday after a multi-year investigation, according to the Northern District of Illinois U.S. Attorney's Office.

"The arrests come as federal authorities beef up their presence in Chicago to target violent crime."

ITEM 15: An MSNBC producer has a problem with capitalizing white, but not black.

Combating white supremacy by inculcating in whites the notion that theirs is a unitary and monolithic culture, and that they should steep themselves in it lest they be accused of appropriating someone else's. Seems counterproductive. https://t.co/KXS1b0ZzOD

If true, then combating black nationalism by inculculating in blacks the notion that theirs is a unitary and monolithic culture, and that they should steep themselves in it lest they be accused of appropriating someone else's is counterproductive.

Race is a superficial barrier among people that liberals promote to gain power.

ITEM 16: Gateway Pundit reported, "St. Louis Has 12 Coronavirus Deaths in July and 47 Homicides in July."

St,. Louis is onto something better than masks. With all that murder, St. Louis residents are too afraid to go out, which keeps covid 19 from spreading.

It's always good to have a game plan.

ITEM 17: Breitbart News reported, "Columnist John Kass has defied cancel culture at the Chicago Tribune after members of the journalists’ union attacked him for criticizing left-wing billionaire George Soros and his backing of progressive prosecutors across the country.

"Last week, Kass wrote about 'an overwhelming sense of lawlessness' in Democrat-run cities, and noted, 'these Democratic cities are also where left-wing billionaire George Soros has spent millions of dollars to help elect liberal social justice warriors as prosecutors. He remakes the justice system in urban America, flying under the radar.'

"That statement is entirely accurate."

Since when did facts matter to a newspaper? 1980 was 40 years ago.

The story said, "The Chicago Tribune Guild, the union representing journalists at the paper, wrote a letter to the paper accusing Kass of promoting the 'odious, anti-Semitic conspiracy theory that billionaire George Soros is a puppet master controlling America’s big cities' and demanded that he, and the newspaper, apologize."

The tail wags the dog at most newspapers.

Kass is smart. He's prepared for the inevitable pink slip.

ITEM 18: Ace reported, "Nevada Sheriff Tells Black-Lives-Matter-Supporting Library Not to Call Them.

"Here's the thing: The left is absolutely freaking out. How dare this sheriff say he won't protect a library due to his politics!

"Meanwhile, of course, police departments are refusing to arrest rioters and refusing to protect federal courthouses from arson. And the left... applauds that."

The sheriff of course backed off, but I trust his point was made.

ITEM 19: United Press International reported, "The U.S. Bureau of Prisons on Wednesday scheduled the execution of a 37-year-old man who, if put to death next month, would be the first Native American executed by the federal government in the modern era. Lezmond Mitchell is set to die by lethal injection on August 26."

The story also said, "Mitchell and co-defendant Johnny Orsinger were convicted in 2003 for the deaths of Alyce Slim, 63, and her granddaughter Tiffany Lee, 9.

"The two men stabbed Slim dozens of times before stealing her vehicle and driving it to another location where they stabbed and beat the girl to death and dismembered their bodies to prevent identification. Mitchell and Orsinger used the vehicle to commit a robbery and when they were caught by police, Mitchell led them to the buried bodies.

"Orsinger, who was a juvenile at the time, was sentenced to life in prison."

Tiffany Lee would have been 28 had she had not been beaten to death and dismembered.
