Highlights of the News

July is Patriot Month. Dolly Parton wrote and recorded "Color Me America" for a 2003 album of patriotic songs. Her label was Welk Music, which was founded by Lawrence Welk himself. That's pretty darned American to me.

ITEM 1WKRC reported, "Shetara Sims had only seven dollars to her name and bills past due when she found a lucky one dollar bill. Sims used it to buy a lottery ticket, and was awarded $100."

Her daughter suggested they donate the winnings to the family of a Kansas City police officer who was shot on duty.

The story said, "When Sims donated the money to the wounded officer, the police were deeply moved."

She did not leave her name when she donated the money, but police tracked her down several days later. (They have detectives, duh.)

The story said, "They started a GoFundMe to raise money for her and her family. Thus far, they have raised more than $8,000."

If anything bad happens to you today, think back to this story.

Oh and the story said, "The family had personal reasons for wanting to help police. In October of 2012, Sims's sister was killed in Kansas City."

She knew exactly what the officer's family was going through. Officers helped her through her tragedy. Helping them in their hour of need was her only motive.

ITEM 2: Just the News reported, "The National Institute for Allergies and Infectious Diseases, the federal agency headed by longtime public health expert Dr. Anthony Fauci, has been cited several times over the years for failing to comply with federal contract and expenditure laws, internal government audits reveal.

"As scrutiny of Fauci's role in managing the pandemic grows, the nation's infectious disease specialist has defended himself by citing his long record in government. But that record includes several ethics and patient safety controversies on his watch as well as numerous citations for violating contract time and amount rules and the Anti-Deficiency Act, a federal law.

"A 2011 report by the Department of Health and Human Services inspector general is emblematic of the repeated problems. Investigators examined a $54.8 million, multi-year federal contract to help Fauci's agency build and manage a statistical and data coordinating center for medical research project and found NIAID spent tax dollars before they were appropriated by Congress and didn't account for monies as required by federal regulations."

As a medical doctor, he makes a good administrator.

As an administrator, he makes a good doctor.

ITEM 3: PJ Media reported, "On Wednesday, the United States government moved to shut down the Chinese consulate in Houston. Shortly after, Houston police and fire responded to reports of small fires in the consulate’s courtyard. Individuals appeared to be burning papers.

"That consulate has been accused of fomenting racial unrest in the country, which is one reason why the government apparently ordered it shut down.

"Now, the Chinese consulate in San Francisco may be harboring an accused spy.

"The Department of Justice this afternoon announced charges against four Chinese nationals who are in the United States on research visas. They are accused of engaging in a concerted effort to conceal their ties with China’s military."

Finally, an American president is fearlessly attacking Red China and its operatives in America.

Democrats hardest hit.

ITEM 4: Mollie Hemingway reported, "The FBI official who ran the investigation into whether the Donald Trump campaign colluded with Russia to steal the 2016 presidential election privately admitted in newly released notes that a major New York Times article was riddled with lies, falsehoods, and 'misleading and inaccurate' information. The February 2017 story was penned by three reporters who would win Pulitzers for their reporting on Trump’s supposed collusion with Russia.

"The FBI’s public posture and leaks at the time supported the now-discredited conspiracy theory that led to the formation of a special counsel probe to investigate the Trump campaign and undermine his administration.

"'We have not seen evidence of any individuals affiliated with the Trump team in contact with [Russian Intelligence Officials]. . . . We are unaware of ANY Trump advisors engaging in conversations with Russian intelligence officials,' former FBI counterespionage official Peter Strzok wrote of the Feb. 14, 2017 New York Times story 'Trump Campaign Aides Had Repeated Contacts With Russian Intelligence.' That story, which was based on the unsubstantiated claims of four anonymous intelligence officials, was echoed by a similarly sourced CNN story published a day later and headlined 'Trump aides were in constant touch with senior Russian officials during campaign.'

"Strzok’s notes are the latest factual debunking of these stories, which were previously shown to be false with the release of Robert Mueller’s special counsel report finding no evidence whatsoever in support of the Hillary Clinton campaign assertion that Trump affiliates colluded with Russia to steal the 2016 election. A report from the Department of Justice Office of Inspector General on just one aspect of the investigation into Russia collusion — FBI spying on Trump campaign affiliates — also debunked these news reports."

This is not about politics.

This is not even about Obama's unlawful and unconstitutional spying on Donald Trump.

This was an attempted coup that the New York Times and Washington Post were in on.

ITEM 5: United Press International reported, "California overtook New York as the state with the highest number of confirmed corona virus cases at more than 409,000 on Wednesday.

"Johns Hopkins University's covid 19 tracker indicated California had more than 409,000 cases as of Wednesday morning, slightly more than the 408,886 confirmed in New York. The fatality figures, though, paint a different story, with more than 72,000 deaths in New York and 7,890 in California."

Cases don't matter.

Deaths do.

New York had nearly 10 times as many deaths as California -- with half as many people.

Four months into this, less than 2% of the nation has this virus. That's some epidemic they have there.

ITEM 6: Breitbart reported, "D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser’s (D) most recent mask mandate, which orders 3-year-olds to cover their faces, exempts lawmakers and government employees while they are 'on duty.'"

So we expect better behavior from a 3-year-old than we do a federal judge.

ITEM 7: Bloomberg reported, "The former British spy who wrote the so-called Steele dossier told a British court that US President Donald Trump may have posed a serious risk to UK national security."

He is full of crap and so is Mike Bloomberg and his Fake News agency.

The media will never admit that Donald Trump is the victim of an international conspiracy to discredit him and undermine his presidency -- because the media aided and abetted this unprecedented attempt to sabotage the 2016 election results.

ITEM 8: The New York Post reported, "Disturbing footage released by police this week shows at least six young men pummeling a 12-year-old boy inside a Brooklyn deli.

"The clip, made public by the NYPD  late Wednesday, shows the young men punching, kicking and hurling multiple shopping baskets, as well as soda cans, at the pre-teen crouched on the floor of the First Stop Grocery on Marcy Avenue near Pulaski Street in Bedford-Stuyvesant around 5:30 p.m. July 13."

Animals.

Front Page Magazine reported, "Chicago Driver Barely Survives Attack by Teens w/Pitchfork."

Lord, give me the strength to, as Ozzy sang, learn how to love and forget how to hate.

ITEM 9American Principles Project and SPRY Strategies released polling results from 10 battleground states.
  • Arizona: Biden 49%, Trump 45%
  • Georgia: Trump 49%, Biden 46%
  • Iowa: Biden 48%, Trump 46%
  • Kentucky: Trump 60%. Biden 34%
  • Michigan: Trump 50%, Biden 45%
  • Montana: Trump 52%, Biden 42%
  • North Carolina: Trump 49%, Biden 46%
  • Pennsylvania: Trump 48%, Biden 47%
  • Texas: Trump 49%, Biden 45%
  • Wisconsin: Biden 46%, Trump 45%
It is a pro-Trump pollster.

President Trump carried all these states in 2016. Republicans, though, are behind in the 4 of the 9 Senate races in those states. Carrying Michigan by 5 is not good enough if the Republican loses by 10 in the Senate race.

The RNC needs to fix that.

ITEM 10: Yahoo reported, "Will fans be ready to attend a game in person later this summer or fall?

"The answer, based on a survey conducted by Yahoo Finance and Harris Poll, is no.

"The majority of respondents – 70% – feel not at all comfortable or not very comfortable attending a sports event in person this summer. Only 10% of people say they would feel very comfortable.

"In addition, 72% of respondents say they will not feel comfortable attending a sports event in person until at least next summer."

The big question is what percentage of fans will bother watching the games on TV due to players disrespecting the national anthem and management posting racist Black Live Matter logos?

By the way, the Redskins are now the Washington Football Team, having been unable to find a name that does not offend someone somewhere sometime. Thus they have excluded everyone missing a foot or a ball.

ITEM 11: Just the News reported, "A high school football coach in Portland, Oregon, says he was fired by the city's public schools system because he's a police sergeant.

"Ken Duilio, a member of the Portland Police Bureau, said he was told Monday that his coaching contract at Cleveland High School would not be renewed, after having signed with the program last year.

"He says the reason for his dismissal '100%' had to do with his job as a police officer. Duilio alleges that a group formed to put pressure on the school to terminate him as a coach after he spoke with the police department during a news conference on June 26."

He's been a coach throughout his 23 years on the police force, including the last 10 as a head football coach. Such work has to help community policing, which is likely the real reason Democrats and their Antifa affiliate wanted him fired.

ITEM 12: President Donald John Trump's Operation LeGend was panned by Tom Ridge, first Homeland Security secretary.

Ridge said, "It would be a cold day in hell before I would consent to an uninvited, unilateral intervention into one of my cities."

Did the mayor of Kabul invite us? How about Baghdad? Fallujah?

Maybe Ridge should read the law that created his bureaucracy. The idea was to protect America from terrorists. I know of no other description for people who kill little boys in their beds in the middle of the night.

He is just a bitter old man and Never Trumper. We won without him in 2016.

ITEM 13: ESPN reported, "After a long wait and multiple delays, the NHL Seattle franchise finally has a name: the Seattle Kraken.

"The announcement came Thursday morning, less than 24 hours after the organization tweeted out this video of three people on a fishing boat who pulled up a red light in a fishing net. After they examined the light, the camera panned to a ferry boat, which promptly honked its horn, and the light began to flash much like when a goal is scored in a hockey game.

"The announcement that NHL Seattle is now the Seattle Kraken was made from the site of the team’s future arena, Climate Pledge Arena. Seattle Kraken CEO Tod Leiweke kicked off the festivities, which was made in front of the arena’s construction workers."

Cephalopoda activists are circulating a petition to get the name changed to something less controversial.

Climate Pledge Arena?

Meanwhile, Fenway Park apparently changed its name to Black Lives Matter. Now to get the white fans to quit calling opponents the N-word.

ITEM 14: I shouldn't tweet.
No one should. Twitter is a pro-Red China company that gathers personal information from its users.

ITEM 15: Breitbart reported, "NBA Commissioner Adam Silver has made the maximum personal donation allowable to Joe Biden’s campaign for president, according to Federal Election Commission records."

Chairman Xi is pleased.

ITEM 16: Reuters reported, "The idea of using investments to promote environmental and social causes has grown quickly in recent years, and retirement plans looked like the next frontier - until the Trump administration weighed in last month.

"The U.S. Department of Labor proposed a new rule governing the use in 401(k) plans of mutual funds driven by environmental, social and governance factors — so-called ESG investing. The rule would require plan sponsors to demonstrate they are not sacrificing financial performance for participants by adding ESG funds. Nothing wrong with that, insofar as it goes - clearly, the most important social good of a 401(k) plan is to build retirement savings for participants.

"But the proposed rule does not recognize that the current generation of socially conscious funds can deliver top-notch performance along with a dose of social progress. And importantly, the rule takes square aim at the best chance for ESG funds to take root in 401(k) plans by making it impossible for plan sponsors to offer them as the default investment option in plans - most of which use a target-date fund that automatically reduces exposure to stocks as retirement approaches.

"Prohibiting use of ESG funds as default options would be a huge obstacle for growth of ESG in 401(k) plans."

Hmm.

Reuters claims (without evidence) that "socially conscious funds can deliver top-notch performance" but then complains that the new rule to do so make "it impossible for plan sponsors to offer them as the default investment option."

This ESG movement is more communist junk like global warming and anti-GMO nonsense. Anything to kneecap capitalism is OK in their book.

ITEM 17: The Anchorage Daily News reported, "The Bureau of Land Management on Thursday issued a right-of-way permit supporting a roughly 200-mile industrial road through the Northwest Alaska wilderness to a region that the state says could support several mines.

"In its 320-page record of decision, written jointly with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, the agency said the road will serve the public interest, including boosting revenues to the state of Alaska and employing thousands of workers during construction of the road and mines.

"Critics have blasted the road as costly and a threat to subsistence resources and the region’s rivers.

"The Alaska Industrial Development and Export Authority, the state agency that applied for the permit, lauded the decision in a statement."

The 200-mile road will be gravel and will cost $500 million. Keep on trucking, baby.

ITEM 18: The president canceled the Jacksonville portion of the RNC, effectively canceling the entire convention. The dull parts still are scheduled in Charlotte.

President Trump said, "The timing for this event is not right, it’s just not right. To have a big convention, it’s just not the right time. There is nothing more important in our country than keeping our people safe."

Bummer.

Maybe they can C-Span something. Otherwise, more nature documentaries on BBC-America.

Be of good cheer. Donald Trump always has something up his sleeve. He has figured a way out of being trapped in the Rose Garden.

ITEM 19: PJ Media reported on "Hulu’s ‘Rodham’ Series: What If Hillary Never Married Bill?"

What if Bill Clinton married a decent woman who wasn't a frigid socialist? What if Bill Clinton married a woman with morals who wasn't trying to cash in public office for private gain? What if Bill Clinton had actually stuck to his Third Way promises of 1992 and been a Grover Cleveland Democrat president who made America great again?

We will never know because Hulu is run by morons.

By the way, without or with Bill Clinton, she still would have lost the nomination to B.O. and the presidency to Donald John Trump.

FINALLY, Larry Correia wrote, "A friend of mine posted about seeing this: 'Where are all you gun owners now that the federal government and police are attacking citizens in the streets?? Now that the National Guard is out oppressing citizens? I thought this was the moment you’re waiting for? So why aren’t you out there fighting them with your guns? You’re nothing but a bunch of f***ing cowards!'"

Ah Antifa thugs like all other Democrats are clever but not very brigght.

He replied, "Well, every single gun nut in America has spent their entire adult life being continually mocked, insulted, and belittled by the left. You’ve done nothing but paint us as the bad guys. In Hollywood, we’re always evil, stupid, violent, malicious, redneck, racist, murderers."

He left out inbred, but he's on a roll.

He wrote, "When we fight back against gun control laws, you declare we are stupid because only the police should have guns (hey, aren’t those the guys you are protesting right now?)"

Yup.

He wrote, "How is that strict gun control working out for you?

"Then you did everything in your power to chase gun owners out of your sainted liberal strongholds. You passed laws. You banned everything we like. Forced all the shooting ranges to close. Forced most of the gun stores to close. And just generally let us know that our kind is not welcome there.

"But now you’ve started some shit, YOU want US to go into democrat cities, with democrat mayors, and democrat police chiefs enforcing democrat policies which cause strife among democrats, in order to get into gun fights on your behalf?"

I laughed at his ending. My wife didn't.

He wrote, "You f***ers are the ones who keep declaring we can’t fight the government with AR-15s because they have tanks and nukes, but then you bumbling f***heads try it by throwing rocks?

"So not only no, but hell no."

It is a much longer throwback blog rant that makes me proud to be a blogger.

Fauchi is nothing but a criminal. I will not repeat the true story again except the Cabal even arranged to have him throw out the 1st pitch at opening season yesterday. Nothing remarkable as he threw it into the dirt just like the garbage he has been doing for years. Old habits are hard to stop.

  5. A good news story.

If you look you can still see The First 48 on T.V. It seems to be similar to what BLM is doing with their Peaceful Demonstrations. They stopped filming in Detroit years ago because there was no way they could blame any White people in any show.

  10. #5. We have a serious problem today. There are two ways to control an epidemic, eradication or herd immunity. Last week Chris Wallass,in his interview with our President, rattled off numbers meant to scare people. 75,000 new cases per day. That means we achieve herd immunity in only ten years. If the numbers were 750,000 we'd have it in a year. I'm all for protecting those who are at risk, but from an illness whose most common symptom is no symptoms?
The worst part of this is the sheeple who believe this garbage. Silent Running.

  11. Item #5 Reporting virus deaths out of context is simple propaganda. Valid reporting must also included the number of deaths from seasonal flu, tuberculosis, heart attacks, motorcycle accidents, etc. As the number of virus deaths is reported as going through the roof, has the number of deaths from other causes gone into the basement? Methinks it has. A good investigative reporter should monitor and report all of these numbers because to know is to relate. - Gary B

  24. #10. I know most of your readers probably won't see this as I am posting late in the day. I'm going to do it anyway.
I am and have been a baseball fan ever since I can remember. My Father played with me in the back yard. I was 4 when I attended my first game to see the Washington Senators play the Cleveland Indians. Senators lost but I was seriously hooked. We moved to New England and the Red Sox became my team. I suffered through years of The Sox bringing us to the brink and then losing in the World Series. 1967, 1975, 1986 and then the devastating loss in 2003 play off to the HATED New York Yankees in 1983, 2004 was our redemption. The Sox won after defeating the Yankees and plowing through the St. Louis Cardinals. We finally won! I wait all winter for spring training.
Yesterday the Red Sox unfurled a 250 foot Black Lives Matter Banner at Fenway Park. That is that, I am done. The Red Sox and MLB can kiss my *ss. I have removed my Red Sox towel from my golf bag, my ball marker from my pocket, my vintage 1986 Red Sox jacket and hat are in the trash. 65 years of my love of professional baseball has ended. My wife looked at me said are you sure? Yes, I am sure. BLACK LIVES DO MATTER BUT SO DO ALL OTHER LIVES. My heart is broken but the million dollar players and billionaire owners can suck it. I'll spend my money on other things. NO MORE PROFESSIONAL BASEBALL FOR THIS GUY!!!! Let them wither on the vine. I have struggled to keep the expletives out of this post. I AM FURIOUS. BTW all other professional sports are done as well.
