Highlights of the News

July is Patriot Month, and today's selection is Charlie Daniels singing "In America." He wrote it in 1980. It is more relevant 40 years later. Yinzer Stillers fans get a shoutout.

ITEM 1: Breitbart News reported, "Factory activity in the U.S. surged higher than expected in June, suggesting that the broader economy grew for the second consecutive month after April’s contraction.

The Institute for Supply Management’s index of manufacturing activity jumped 9.5 percentage points to 52.6 in June. The gauge of new orders rose 24.6 points to 56.4, the largest ever monthly increase. The production component of the index also rose by more than 24 points to 57.3.

The Purchasing Managers Index is constructed from the results of surveys of executives in manufacturing businesses.

Economists had expected a reading of 49, with the highest estimate in those surveyed by Econoday 51.5. June’s score was the best since April of 2019."

The equilibrium in that index is 50.

Shortest recession ever. It lasted about as long as a teenage boy.

ITEM 2: CNBC reported, "Private payrolls grew by 2.369 million for the month, a bit lower than the 2.5 million expectation from economists surveyed by Dow Jones, according to a report Wednesday from ADP and Moody’s Analytics.

"The total actually represented a decline from the previous month, which saw a dramatic upward revision to 3.065 million. ADP initially said May saw a loss of 2.76 million. However, the Labor Department two days later reported a gain of 2.5 million for May, a number that itself was far better than the Wall Street estimate of an 8 million loss."

In 2 months, we have added 5.4 million jobs.

These are jaw-dropping record gains.

If Jeb! or some other Democrat were president, we would be at 20% unemployment and rising because all they know about capitalism is what some socialist told them.

President Donald John Trump is making America great again -- again.

ITEM 3: Fox reported, "Joe Biden pledged during a call with potential campaign donors on Monday that his administration would reverse the bulk of President Trump's tax cuts, even though 'a lot of you may not like that.'

"'I'm going to get rid of the bulk of Trump's $2 trillion tax cuts, and a lot of you may not like that, but I'm going to close loopholes like capital gains and stepped-up basis,' Biden said, according to a pool report of the virtual fundraiser.

"The former vice president vowed to raise the corporate tax rate from 21% to 28%, which he said is projected to raise $1.3 trillion over the next decade. The Trump administration permanently slashed the corporate tax rate from 35% to 21% with the passage of the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act.

Biden is not doing this to raise money.

He wants to destroy the American economy because Red China bought him off by giving his idiot, coke-addled son a billion bucks. Biden flew with him to Beijing on Air Force Two to pick up the loot as vice president.

ITEM 4: The Associated Press reported, "U.S. Customs and Border Protection officials in New York announced Wednesday they had seized a shipment of weaves and other beauty accessories suspected to be made out of human hair taken from people locked inside a Chinese internment camp.

"The shipment of almost 13 tons of hair products worth more than $800,000 bore signs of 'potential human right abuses of forced child labor and imprisonment,' the agency said in a release. The violations included 'use of prison labor' and 'additional situations of forced labor, including, but not limited to, excessive overtime, withholding of wages, and the restriction of movement,' according to Customs officials."

This would be like the Nazis selling the hair of Jews in their concentration camps.

Why we do business with Red China is beyond me.

Oh wait. Chairman Deng and Chairman Xi bought off our politicians.

ITEM 5: The Hill reported, "The airline industry defended American Airlines on Tuesday for its new policy to fill planes to capacity following criticism from Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Director Robert Redfield over concerns about spreading the corona virus.

"Redfield said there was substantial disappointment with American Airlines” about the move in a Senate hearing on Tuesday following a question from Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) on the policy.

"Airlines for America (A4A), which represents and advocates for major U.S. airlines, defended the decision to fill planes on the basis that maintaining social distancing isn’t possible on planes anyway. American Airlines is a member of A4A."

Redfield ignored the lack of social distancing in the far larger Antifa-BLM riots and looting. Fire the loser.

ITEM 6: Tristan Justice reported, "Columbus Removes Christopher Columbus Statue Outside City Hall Named After Columbus."

Goodbye, Columbus.

Is Moses Cleaveland next?

ITEM 7Mary Kay Berman reported, "Hello! The Mrs. Butterworth Character Is Not Supposed to Be Black."

What heresy is this?

She wrote, "In a 1979 commercial, the Mrs. Butterworth character’s voice sounds like a syrupy old white woman. In it, you can also see that the feature on the bottle that some people thought was a headscarf, reminiscent of Hattie McDaniel’s Mammy in Gone with the Wind, is just a bun.

"In addition to Hope Summers, two other actresses have voiced Mrs. Butterworth on TV: Mary Kay Berman and Edie McClurg. White, white, and white."

Well, that's proof that Mrs. Butterworth is racist.

Boycott until a black actress voices Mrs. Butterworth. Then demand the removal of Mrs. Butterworth for promoting racial stereotypes.

ITEM 8The Associated Press reported, "Boston’s arts commission voted unanimously Tuesday night to remove a statue that depicts a freed slave kneeling at Abraham Lincoln’s feet."

AP lied.

The statue depicts no such thing.

Rather, it depicts Lincoln emancipating a slave, who then rises from slavery.

Hence the name Emancipation Memorial.

Slaves freed by Lincoln paid to build the original statue that is in Washington. It is older than the Statue of Liberty.

More important too.

ITEM 9: Immigration and Custom Enforcement announced, "A Chinese national was sentenced in absentia today to 37 months in federal prison for participating in a large-scale birth tourism scheme that engaged in visa fraud that allowed foreign nationals to come to the United States and give birth so their children would receive U.S. birthright citizenship.

"Chao Chen, 35, was sentenced by U.S. District Judge James V. Selna. Chen pleaded guilty in June 2016 to visa fraud, marriage fraud and filing a false tax return. Soon after pleading guilty, Chen fled to China and remains a fugitive.

"This case, as well as the others named below, is the result of an extensive investigation by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s (ICE) Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) Los Angeles and IRS Criminal Investigation. Substantial assistance was provided by U.S. Customs and Border Protection, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, and the Irvine Police Department."

Democrats say there is no such thing as birth tourism.

Then again, they deny vote fraud exists.

ITEM 10: Guess what happens when the mob the mayor supported turns on her.
(In John Kerry voice) OCK-tually, the mayor was for the CHAZ/CHOP before she voted against it.
I trust readers enjoyed their popcorn as much as I did mine.

Oh, and the Associated Press report did not mention the threatening protest at the mayor's house which led to this dispersal.

ITEM 11: MSN reported, "After an alarming 2018-19 winter in which there were a record 37.7% less honeybees than the previous year, the species rebounded strongly this previous winter, reported the Associated Press.

"This previous winter, beekeepers noted a less devastating loss of 22.2% of their colonies — considerably better than the average of 28.6%, according to the Bee Informed Partnership.

"During the ongoing 14-year survey, that percentage was the second-smallest winter loss on record.

"Honeybee populations often following a cyclical formula with good seasons following bad ones, said scientific coordinator Nathalie Steinhauer."

Two years ago, the media went into hysteria blaming Man for the drop in bee populations.

But as Ecclesiastes told us, to every thing, there is a season.

ITEM 12: Is it OK for white women to make fun of the color of Hispanic women?
Snooki (no E) was born in Santiago, Chile, and adopted by a white couple.

But why are we mocking the color of anyone's skin?

ITEM 13: Joanne Jacobs reported, "Teachers say they won’t return to classrooms in Fairfax County, Virginia, reports Hannah Natanson in the Washington Post.

"Three major teachers’ associations in a joint statement charged the district’s 'plans for face-to-face teaching imperil teachers’ health and that officials failed to provide sufficient time for families and staff members to make their decisions,' she writes."

Of course teachers want to stay home.

They get paid anyway.

We need a boycott of paying property taxes for empty schools.

ITEM 14: Boys.
We need more boys like that because they make great men.

ITEM 15: The New York Times (no links to pay sites) reported, "This year, for the first time in more than a decade, there will be a major fireworks display to commemorate Independence Day at the Mount Rushmore National Memorial.

"The sculpture features the faces of four American presidents — Washington, Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt and Lincoln — carved into a granite slope over the Black Hills of South Dakota. In the eight decades since the carving was completed, it has never been without controversy.

"So when President Trump announced in May that he would attend the festivities there, it invited even more scrutiny of the monument’s history, the leaders it celebrates, the sculptor who created it and the land it towers over.

"Native Americans have long criticized the sculpture, in part because it was built on what had been Indigenous land. And more recently, amid a nationwide movement against racism that has toppled statues commemorating Confederate generals and other historical figures, some activists have called for Mount Rushmore to close."

As Katewerk of Small Dead Animals tweeted, "Visit Mt. Rushmore while you still can."

ITEM 16: Just the News reported, "The Trump administration's USMCA deal goes into effect Wednesday – marking a quiet start for a major policy victory for the president that in recent months has been overshadowed by the recent social-justice protests and the months-long corona virus pandemic that has slowed the U.S. economy.

"The trade deal, officially titled the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement, is President Trump's response to the decades' old deal among the three countries that he campaigned in 2016 on replacing.

"The deal is a result of more than two years of negotiation between the respective leaders of the countries. The new deal will affect more than $1 trillion a year in trade between among them.

"Canada and Mexico are the two countries that receive the most U.S. exports annually. The United States imports more from its two continental neighbors than anywhere aside from [Red] China."

NAFTA cost us jobs.

USMCA will gain some of them back.

ITEM 17: The cancel culture continues.
Woke? No. Just a joke.

You play, you pay.

ITEM 18: The New York Post reported, "A caravan of protesters — some wielding plastic pitchforks — descended on the Hamptons Wednesday to blast the rich and decry the nation’s rising income inequality.

"More than 100 drivers and about 200 marchers paid a visit to the homes of some of the world’s wealthiest people, including ex-New York City Mayor Mike Bloomberg."

They had printed signs.

All the spontaneity of the Ice Capades.

Tax the rich. Feed the poor. 'Til there are, no rich no more.

FINALLY, I am thinking of opening a karate restaurant.

Kung Food.

  1. #17 Somewhere, Bob Dylan is singing, "Haoooow does it feeeeeeeel?"

    1. That’s perfect, Lee.

“ Aw, you went to the finest schoolS (Ed. Note: Harvard) all right
Miss Lonely But you know you only used to get
      Juiced in it!
Nobody’s ever taught you how to live out on the street and
Now you’re gonna have to get
      Used to it!”

    2. #18. I used to really like that Ten Years After song but can’t listen to it any longer because of the sheer stupidity of those lyrics.

    3. To make you feel better about listening to it remember that the refrain of that song was '

I don't know what to do,
so I leave it up to you'.

We know what to do. Exactly the opposite of what Sleepy Joe wants.

    4. SJW has dehumanized white people to the point that haters like Claira Janover cannot understand why her video got her fired. She's blaming conservatives.
I'd like to think it would be learning experience for her, but it only proves that there's no point in trying to talk sense to the senseless.

  2. Would that the government could leave us on our own a lot more.

  3. Item 17 - feel good video of the summer! Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.
If she were my daughter, I'd demand full repayment of ALL college tuition paid on her behalf. She clearly didn't 'learn' a damn thing

    1. Sundance “outed” her parents as Thesbians early this morning. Sundance believes in God and takes the Bible seriously. Which LibCommies do not. I can’t help but cheering.

    2. My goto sites are Surber, Gateway and Sundance! Sundance has been the leader in the 'coup' against Trump since day one and Gateway is the only news site that doesn't buy all the PC BS! They question everything and are usually right on the money!

    3. My Pop who was a real working cowboy, and 1/2 Cherokee so he was both Cowboy and Indian. Put it this way:
"Never make threats that you can't back up." "Cause someone is likely to kick your arse in the fight."
Canes are very effective-try it sister, try it..

  4. 3 - Liberals believe in Keynesian economics. There are no unintended consequence to their actions. They won’t see half of what they expect in tax revenue because businesses will react (move offshore, etc). What maroons.

4 - China should be treated Like Cuba.

5 - if masks are so great, then social distancing is not necessary.

7 - your solution is so insane, it will probably be implemented by the liberals.

14 - the truth. And here in the US of A, boys can’t play like that anymore (unless they sneak off somewhere).

15 - Stone Mountain must be high up on the New Taliban’s hit list.

18 - What an article! They want Governor Fredo’s Brother to raise taxes on the states 118 billionaires. What maroons. Do that and NY will have 18 billionaires left. They will leave like PDJT did.

FINALLY: specializing in Chop Suey, Hawaiian Punch, tossed salad and Flipper (mahi-mahi).

    1. How about Sweep-the-leg of lamb?

    2. FINALLY Fifty years ago, there was a hippie restaurant in San Diego called Kung Food. The atmosphere was goofy, with airy fairy waitresses and macrame on the walls, but the food was great. I was young and they were harmless. They're grown up and are now running every school district and half of the town councils in the country. - Gary B

  5. ITEM #13 Geez, so if there's never a 100% effective vaccine (and is there ever a vaccine that's 100% effective?) that would mean there would NEVER be public school again - all because of the flu?

And there are already widely available treatments - a second requirement for their return to work. They must have never heard of hydroxychloroquine.

Dolts with a clear lack of critical thinking skills like these qualify as teachers? Hmmmm.

ITEM #17 This other rebuttal vid she posted is even better.

She calls her former employer cowards and blames racist Trump supporters - that would be us, for her entirely compromised future.

Guess she'll have to make her indelible change from McDonalds by asking "Would you like fries with that?" better than anyone else.

Cause her TikTok rants are indelibly online forever. Any future employers who bother to check will be able to see her stupidity on full display.

    Just proves Systemic Ignorance Matters.

    1. IF she gets her shite together someday, this can be written off a a “youthful indiscretion.”

    2. A Harvard graduate thinks that the word “systemic” that she points to in her crying vid is pronounced “systematic”πŸ˜‚. Makes you wonder what she was studying during her $200k stay at that school.

    3. Have you ever noticed that to teach in grade/junior/high school, you have to have a teaching degree, but it you want to teach in college you only need a degree, and not necessarily one in what you are teaching.

  6. 5. Redfield and all of the leadership at CDC should be fired. Tens of billions of dollars and they are caught unprepared for the annual flu season. The federal bureaucracies are where 'term-limits' are most desperately needed.

    13. Agreed. No teachers, no police? Why pay taxes?

    15. Indigenous land? Everything everywhere on the planet is on what was "Indigenous land", no exception. I've long thought that we should give the Mediterranean basin, England, etc, back to the mayor of Rome.

  7. Next we will see that white people aren't allowed to tan in the sun, after all it might make us brown and that is racist.

    The left is this nuts.

    1. Tanning will be considered cultural appropriation!

  8. The only tribes that consider the Black Hills "sacred" are the Lakota Sioux and Cheyenne, both of which only got to that area after migrating from the Eastern North America in the late-1600 because they got their rear ends handed to them by the Iroquois. They really don't have much historical claim to that land.

    1. Sioux and Cheyenne moved all the way to NY?

    2. The Crow were the ones who were in the Black Hills when the Souix /Cheyenne showed up. I'd say give back to them. They would have fun with that never-ending Sculpture of Crazy Horse..
Yeah they were pushed west by the Iroquois
they are a confederation of tribes, and were able to 86 the Sioux/Cheyenne . Then Sioux pushed other Plains tribes out Notable are the Nez Pierce Crow Black Feet, Shoshone, etc. Just before the White man arrived..

  9. 7-
I've decided to boycott watching the new looney tunes cartoons until bugs bunny is voiced by an actual rabbit.

    1. Hahaha, too. - Gary B

  10. Bee populations have rebounded? Wow, there's nothing that guy PDJT can't do!

  11. ITEM 3

Why would biden do this? Reason Trump has been cutting off all sources of money from Cabal. Cabal is right now Marxists best friend. How and where do you think Cabal has been getting financed?

  12. You need to be Scared Straight with Real Facts by a former Intel Operator who is telling inside information that no one else will do.

He has No Sponsors but very deep connections within the Intel Community. If you want to know the truth that absolutely no one else will tell you listen to his briefing from yesterday.

    His 30th.

  13. Joe and Hunter BidenJuly 2, 2020 at 10:10 AM

So,, is the election over? When do I move in?

  14. 10. It looks like LA!

    15. Someone should point out the USA was all indigenous lands at some point.

  15. 15: "Native Americans have long criticized the sculpture, in part because it was built on what had been Indigenous land.

So is the Gray Lady's building.

I believe the Iroquois were there first.

  16. Interesting Data Gathered from Detroit Protests

  17. 7. Better not let them see any Mrs. Butterworth commercials with Charlie Weaver as the dear lady...

  18. #17 "All Lives Matter"... "stab them and watch them bleed out"... "Show them my paper cut and say that matters, too". How can one be that angry, and narrow-minded?
She did not deserve a job at Deloitte. What work would she do if assigned to a contract that did not fit her pinpoint view of the world. It was not about job-doxing by conservatives. Deloitte dodged a bullet in firing her.

Walmart no longer sells t-shirts with "All Lives Matter". Cowards.

For those of the Twitter persuasion, how about creating an all inclusive hash tag: "Skin Color Does NOT matter".

  19. I don't always comment, but when I do I visit the swamp.

Happened to talk to a few K Street types the past few days. Pretty much all of them advised client companies positioning to expect a Democratic administration next year.

Now you have to understand this is a bit of talking up a lobbyist's own investment position. IF there is a change of course you need to pay a lobbyist to cozy up to the possible new head of your government org that regulates your industry.

But 4 short years ago. I don't recall any of this type of lobbyist hand out asking for money. Heck they pretty much knew who would be in leadership roles by September 2016 in a Hillary admin.

There was mucho cash not harvested by lobbyists in late 2016. Given that Trump didn't even know who would be in X agency by December.

But the swamp "knows" that Biden will be President.

I'm moderately acquainted with a K street dude from the midwest. I asked him to pour himself a double and talk candidly about what's going on.

When I brought up that Hillary is the 80% chance president. K hurled an unprintable unPC expletive, but said bluntly "we can't handle another 4 years of this!". Why? "look we get paid on making things happen."

then he went on left field rant about how Lobbyists are the guardians of Democracy if they were not there nothing would get done. on and on I just let him talk.

It occurred to me that truth or 2016 election reality is not really going to impact these types. It's religion, their world revolves around a cycle of Patronage and Kick Backs that was greatly disrupted by Trumpus Magnus.

So get ready of a full court press of talking heads stating the new new creed of 100% President Biden. (which ACTUALLY tells you all you need to know about why Biden was selected, the Dems desperately needed a scapegoat so any loss would be laid on Biden's infirm head)

And I dare say that 2016 being different will NOT be penetrating the Group Think. To them the Insider MUST prevail. They cannot conceive of any other outcome

  20. Charlie Daniels is one of our heroes. Thanks Don for leading with the video link. That clip is from 2007, thirteen years old now, but the guy is still out there touring.
He writes excellent commentary and we look for every post he puts up on his "soapbox":
