Head of WHCA whines about McEnany

They are no longer daily press briefings. Under Kayleigh McEnany, they have become daily press beatings. And the head of the White House Correspondents Association is  crying foul. How dare she hold the press accountable for its duplicity!

Jonathan Karl of Disney's wholly owned ABC subsidiary (and president of the WHCA) went on Brian Stelter's weekly show on CNN to whine about McEnany's daily beatdowns.

Karl said, "I believe very firmly that the White House press secretary is a public servant, his or her salary paid for by the taxpayers, has a job to inform the public by informing the reporters that the public uses to get information"

And he said, "The press secretary serves at the pleasure of the President, but this is a different job. She is not the spokesperson for a campaign, she is not the spokesperson for a political party. She is the spokesperson for the executive branch of the federal government of the United States. It is a different job, it is not a purely political job, and those briefings have begun to look purely political."

Waah.

He works for Disney.

He heads an organization that has mocked Donald John Trump for 9 years going back to the 2011 WHCA dinner in which the association's paid comic roasted a guest, Donald Trump, and not the president.

Who but Stelter -- whom I would never mock for looking like Mister Potato Head -- would take seriously Karl's whining about McEnany?

Answer: The Washington Post. It ran a whiny column by Karl which should have been titled, Ma, She's Touching Me Again.

Jon Dougherty at Biz Pac Review showed what McEnany is up against.

He recalled what she told reporters the other day, "I was asked probably 12 questions about the Confederate Flag. This president is focused on action. I’m a little dismayed that I didn’t receive one question on the deaths this weekend. I didn’t receive one question about New York City shootings doubling for the third straight week, and over the last seven days, shootings skyrocket by 142%. Not one question."

If Karl does not want political answers, he should admonish his colleagues not to ask political questions.

Sarah Sanders held her own against the press corps. Now McEnany does. Am I alone in believing the White House press corps cannot handle a strong, assertive female?

At any rate, I encourage Karl to keep whining because his sobbing serves only to discredit him.

He is the best advertisement for McEnany's inevitable book. Heck, I'll let her use the title Trump the Press gratis.

    1. Roy get it. Also, do they not remember Obama State Dept. SPOX Marie Harf laughing at their questions? In fact, her laugh looked psychotic.

  8. McEnany has broken them.

Stelter and Karl will be crying in each other’s arms on next weeks program.

Then they will be starring In Brokeback Press-corps.
